I. LOVE THE NAME

Name of A-da-na formula, originating from?

Meaning: The A-da-na is very deep and delicate; the air set (1) of its seed to kill like waterfalls. We (Buddha) to them and the Second Vehicle, do not speak this knowledge; for fear they distinguish discrimination as a Self.

Meaning: The A-da-na is very subtle; gas episodes such as waterfall. Fearing that they and the Second Vehicle accept this consciousness as "chon" or "non-chon", so I (Buddha) never taught this knowledge to them.

This consciousness is the "Basic" of chon and hope; Holy, Qualities all rely on this place. So in Duy consciousness, very special attention to this consciousness.

Now we base on the verse and the meaning of the above commentary to observe - In the chant, the word "Phàm" is used for abnormalities (beings); the word "Ngu" is used to refer to both ordinary women and Nhi (the foolish word is delusion).

General idea of ​​the two sermons said:

An-na-na very deep and delicate, containing the collective gas species from beginningless to present. It owns and keeps the sentient beings of their sentient beings living in a period of time. See print as "feet", but it is expected to destroy being very subtle. Just like the waterfall, in the distance it looks like a calm sign, but in fact it flows very quickly.

Not only are they ordinary women (Unborn beings) (2) who do not know that the Hinayana Sravaka (dhamma) also delights this consciousness. Buddha for these two classes never spoke about the A-da-na, for fear they deluded accept as "Self".

They are deluded by delusion, falling in love, suffering; while the second row can be suffering from being, if not let them hear about this consciousness more.

The recitation of the Shurangama Sutra and the Shakyamika Sutra, the first two sentences are synonymous. In the second sentence the word "collective qi" means "seed". To the third sentence is divided into two aspects: The Shurangama Sutta says: "This consciousness is very deep and delicate, arising and falling without interruption. Because it is continuous without interruption, it should be printed as "feet"; because it being eradicated, so "no feet".

If the deluded accept this knowledge is "feet" then the accept "Increase interest" (more), will be forever in samsara samsara. As for people who are deluded in accepting this knowledge as "non-feet", they are accepted by the "Loss" (less); Because this consciousness is "expecting" and leaving this consciousness to seek the "true" is not possible, so it is also forever in samsara.

The fourth verse in the Confucian Prize, great idea says: "This discrimination is self-centered", that is, the companion of the Surangama Sutta says: "This consciousness is chon". Song delusion accept this knowledge "Africa" ​​is also accept Self. Because of fear for them and the second row of deluded deluded delusion, this knowledge is "feet" or "feet", so Buddha never spoke.

On the chant said "accept the ego", ie this obstinate to make this true self, very legal. Because ordinary and Second Vehicle to this consciousness or initiate the distinction of attachment is "chon" or "non-chon".

Bring the two chants above for comparison and observation; then the full meaning. However, the chanting in the Confucian Prayer Sutta has a special and clearer meaning: "they are ordinary and the Hinayana are easy to initiate to distinguish discrimination as a Self".

In Du Da Dia Luan, completely based on the Confucian Prize, the award talks about this consciousness. There are also plenty of places where this awakened name cannot be counted; such as Mahayana Mahayana, Visions of Saints, Abhidharma, etc., etc. As the commentaries already have the name of Anna-na, this is now the basis for this duty.

II. DEFINITIONS

The word "About" means to limit the name. The formula A-da-na, the world means like?

- Sanskrit called A-da-na, Chinese translation is "Tri" (preserve). There is no explanation in the sutta, but in the Mahayana Commentary there are two meanings, and in Duy Duy Thanh the analysis is even more complete.

This formula has three functions, so called Ananda:

1. Preserve (accept) the seed of the dharma

2. Hold bear (accept life) and body in the world

3. Hold (accept) the next generation connection.

Now want to understand for readers, should start from shallow to deep, from rough to sacrifice; meaning the secondary meaning of the three meanings above to explain as follows.

1. HOLD (CARRIED) THE FOLLOWING CONNECTION

The reason for the "connection of the next life" (continuous birth) is due to the three dharmas: Disturbance, Karma and Birth; usually called "Or, Karma and Suffering". Meaning: due to disturbing emotions, we must create karma. The word "Kiết being" (Connect the next life), meaning life, starting from the pregnancy until birth.

Again, from one life to the next, birth to another. That is: from the body "possessive" (3) (body existing alive) to the body "death friends" (body is dying), from the body "death friends" to the body "center right" (4) (body after death yet reincarnated), from the body "of righteousness" to the body of "postpartum" (5) (body of the next generation). The reason for being continuously unbroken like that, of course, there must be something often circulating and preserving (attachment). - That is the A-da-na. Without this consciousness to hold the "connection of the next life" (continuous karmic rebirth), once a person dies and then he dies, he cannot be reborn anymore! Thus, it fell into the theory of extinction.

In the Shurangama Sutta about the second volume, the chief idea: "Previously, the King of Anonymous King followed the pagan religion and accepted the" passing away "(the dead and died) so the King often hugged and worried! ... After listening to Buddha saying France, the King was enlightened to the reason "continuous birth and death"; meaning: when a person dies, he leaves one body to receive another body, leaving one life to receive the other; anything that has to be changed must perish, and what doesn't change is usually not perishable, so the king is very happy! ”.

Say "accept the kill" means accepting a death and then die. If so, then human life has no value at all! Therefore, it should be known that this A-da-na constant circulation uninterrupted, it holds the "successive reincarnation" (continuous birth being).

In a nutshell, if the person understands clearly: "There is an A-da-na hold the birth of continuous birth" (connecting reincarnation), then treat the accept "cessation" of the ordinary and pagan.

2. HOLD (OPEN LIFE) IDENTITY AND WORLD

Originally striped on Chinese characters, said the word "excellent base of origin." - The word "sharp base" is for the five subtle senses within (the five pure doors, eyes, eyes, eyes, eyes, body and head); while the word "y origin" is just for the five bases on the outside (on the ceiling) as a place (place) y for the five bases on the inside.

In short, only the Sambhogakaya of sentient beings living in a period. Saying "The Sambhogakaya live in a period" means including "the compounded vi vi impermanent killing and killing". - The function of preserving Sambhogakaya is continuously existing in a period of indestructibility, that is, "A-da-na".

Originally Chinese characters on, said the two words "accept life", meaning that this body should be "self" that gives birth to feeling and receiving life.

Again there is a second meaning, in the original text, the word "sharpness" is only for the body of sentient beings (right alert); while the word "y origin" is for the world (newspaper y).

In the world, from one thing to other things being afraid of each other, from this one ceiling to the other mundane obstacles, which still exists, everything is preserved by this consciousness; just different from sentient beings does not make sense and feel.

In his thesis, Chuong Thai Diem said, "All minerals and plants have consciousness". But considering his testimonies, it is not the physical body; actually due to the preservation function of consciousness A-da-na; Only he did not understand, mistakenly thought for the body. The body only knows the sensation of feeling exposed to sensations, such as pain, itching, etc. and the supernormal ability to hold obstacles together, the decision must be this A-da-na.

3. HOLD (CHIEF) THE PRINCIPAL OF FRENCH

Saying "dhammas" means that all things are compounded. There are two types: 1. "Organic property smuggled", that is, the legal contaminants, belonging to the species of birth (beings), 2. "Infinite smuggled property", ie the pure French, belongs to Thanh Hien .

"Race" also has two categories: 1. "Industrial strain" ie Shu Shu gas; 2. "France strains", ie Dang saved air.

Each of the dharma, when it starts, is from its seed. Because the caste of the homeland produces that category, it is called the "Caste caste class".

"Karmic Race" (Shu hetero racial strains) that is from the mind. Because the four mental states of mind, the king of consciousness and the mental states of good and evil, etc., have the effect of working to create a "karma". If taking its current, for its seed race, then also called "isometric save race". But the "karma race", at the same time has the special use of dominating the other dharma. Like the Prime Minister, when it comes to the individual, he is one like many people in the country; but at the same time, he also had a responsibility to rule the nation. - Industrial karma (Shu hetero racial) also, it is different from "France strains" (Isometric save) in that place.

"Industrial karma" also has two types: 1. Property smuggled, 2. Infiltration illegal. But about "the seed" is only potential (hidden) that does not start. If there is nothing to hold, then the seeds of dharma must be dispersed. If the dharma particles of the dharma are scattered, then the dharmas existing in the world and the worldly world must no longer exist.

Therefore, there must be the A-da-na formula to hold the seed (potential function) of the dhammas.

Someone said: "The rupa has the power to hold the seed." It is not reasonable to say that, because the "rupa" of its nature changes and obstructs, so it cannot contain the seed. Again, when being reborn in the formless sky, the realm has no "rupa", taking what holds the seed.

The "mental states" also can not hold the seed, because it is not so.

The previous six consciousness also cannot contain the seed, because when being born in the heavens of utopia and into cessation of cessation, etc., there is no previous six consciousness.

The seventh consciousness, though constantly circulated and uninterrupted, cannot contain the dharma s, because its nature is "very wealthy." If the seventh consciousness contains the seed, then when it comes to the Bodhisattva position, the consciousness has been converted into a pure position, and later on, the arising of the dharma episodes, it is absurd.

Therefore, only A-da-na consciousness, infinite wealth, endless type of birth and death, can maintain (containing) the seed of the dharma. This realm is only known to Buddha after all, and the Bodhisattvas only know a part.

III. EXPLAIN AND CHOOSE

In Duy epistemology, volume three reads: "The sentient beings all have the Eighth consciousness, but depending on each aspect, the nominalities are different, so there are many names:

1. Or called "Mind": -  Because this consciousness is the place where the group (accumulation) is allowed for the dharma set to be collected.

2. Or called "A-da-na":  - Because this consciousness preserves the seed and the body of them is not lost.

3. Or called "Department of medical knowledge": -  Because this consciousness is the only y of the French know (tri) infection and purity.

4. Or called "Consciousness":  - Because this consciousness has the function of keeping the seed of the worldly (smuggled) and worldly (unbroken).

Four names above, through all the status of Holy, Holy.

5. Or called "A da":  - Han translation is Tang formula. Because this consciousness consists of infected methods, preserving not losing, it means the ability to treasure, to possess and to love. (The seventh consciousness accepts this consciousness as an "inner self").

The name A again (Da Thuc) this, only in place of ordinary and Saints, and the uneducated Saints and Bodhisattva Rotten Bodhisattva do not have this name (knowledge), because it no longer holds the seed of dharma contamination.

6. Or called "Heterosexual consciousness": -  Because this consciousness has the function of leading to go in samsara to receive the result of Heterosexuality (sambhogakaya), due to good karma or evil karma, which created the previous life.

This heterosexual name, only found in the row of Phàm phu, Nhi and the Bodhisattva, also to the status of Buddha, there is no longer Shu.

7. Or called "Nonconforming":  - Because this consciousness is the place that holds the utterly pure and pure contraband. Name "Non-formula", only Buddha. From the Bodhisattva Mahayana and below, to the line of women, the eighth consciousness also contains smuggled, not completely pure, so there is no name "Non-formula".

SELECTIVE

In addition to the above-mentioned names, this formula also has names such as: Preliminary Variable, Basic Consciousness and Tathagata etc. Now, according to the class name of the name, to choose which name is complete.

1. A da awake:  - Han translates as "Tang Dynasty". The commentaries on the word "Tàng" have three meanings: Nang Tàng, Nhà owns and the craving for attachment.

This name "Invisibility", only in the status of ordinary people (allergic birth) and Saints study. When coming to the second row of the Uneducated and unscrupulous Abhidharma, this consciousness no longer holds (accept) the complex dhammas, so it is not called "Invisibility" (A re awakened). Because the name "A lai da" this meaning is very narrow, so this thesis is not used.

2. Instinctive transformation:  -  This consciousness contains the seed of the dharma, and then the appearance of the body and the world appears. We do not understand and the Second Lady, so accept is true and true France. Because of the demolition of Phàm phu and Nhi, Luan said: "The self and the dharma are false, due to the awakening of manifestation". The final consciousness, there are three types of variables, which is the first variable, should be called "preliminary variable".

Because this meaning is very narrow, cannot say all the amount of this consciousness, so it cannot be used.

3. Shu heterosexual : -  Shu hue has three: Heterozygous period of childhood (other than that of nine), Heterosexual heterosexual (other than that of nine) and Variable heterosexual (other variables that ripen). Compared to "A da da" this name is somewhat wider; but when he became a Buddha, he gave up the name of Shu (Kim Cang post-Shu Shu)

Because this name is not popular: When the Buddha attained no more and the Second row came into the final cessation, the body was ashes, the mind stopped, at that time there was no longer Shu, so this thesis was not used.

4. Yêm ma la formula: -  Chinese translation is "Non-structural formula", meaning that the pure formula is not infected. This name is unique to the Buddha status; from Bodhisattva or lower to the Second Vehicle and Lady without "Non-formula"; because the Bodhisattva is still ignorant and still has a complicated seed.

Because this name only exists in Buddhahood, not all Saints, Bodies and all the pure infection of this consciousness, so it is not used.

5. Mind:  - This name is both Phàm phu, Nhi excess, Bodhisattva and Buddha. In the discourses, there is a common place where all eight consciousness are: mind, mind and consciousness; there is a separate place to call the eighth consciousness "Mind", the seventh consciousness is "Italy" and the previous six consciousnesses are "Consciousness"; there are places called "Mind King", "Mind" are "Mind" or call Sac (material) is also "Mind"; - As the heart of meat is called "Heart organs" (an organ in the five organs: Mind, Can, Pi, Lungs, Kidney).

Because the name is so broad and misleading, this thesis is not used.

6. Basic formula:  -The previous seven and the French infection, are y only in this formula, so called "Basic consciousness". This name is also connected with Holy and divine.

But the name "Basic", not only to call the Eighth consciousness, but "Chon as position" is also called "Basic mind"; because "Chon as" is the "Basic" of all Dharma.

Because the noun is confusing, this thesis is not used.

7. Octagonal consciousness:  - Y according to the order and number of items that are called, then the last year of consciousness, Friday consciousness, Friday consciousness, and final consciousness are called the "Eighth consciousness".

Although this name can communicate with the Holy Ghost and there is no confusion with the other, the Eighth name cannot speak of the general and the use of this consciousness; just a noun containing only the number of items to call for, so this thesis is not used.

8. Department of tri y:  - This name comes from the Mahayana Mahayana, meaning has been widely and evenly communicated, Holy. - The word "Tri tri" (known) means only for the infection and net. Because the method of taking this formula as a medical unit, it should be called "Department of medical knowledge".

Although this name is strong enough to speak about the general and use of this consciousness, it is not used; because he followed in Mahayana Mahayana, the dharma "Department of Knowledge" is just for the three nature: Turn the design of attachment, Y forgive nature, and Vien becomes true.

But in fact, the legal knowledge (not known) is not only the eighth consciousness (Y pardon) but also Chon as (the true member) or the Consciousness (Turn over the attachment). So the meaning of "Y" also colluded with other dharma; not equal to using the meaning "An-da-na" is more precise.

9. Nhut the racial form:  - This noun is in the only epistemology, referring to the "Nhon General" of A again da. This name also communicates all status of Saints, Bodhisattva (in the position of Buddha can say "The most unruly world").

This noun compared to the noun Ananda is not wide but not very narrow, somewhat similar. But the "world first" is only for the general charm and property of this general, not the current manifestation of this consciousness; the formula "The most sustained world strain" that is A-da-na.

Besides, the meaning "energy maintenance strain" is just one of the three meanings of the A-da-na. Therefore, this is not used.

10. Tathagata Museum:  - This noun with the eighth is related. In the commentary is very broad, now only briefly outline the idea.

The word "Invisibility" means "conceal". All sentient beings are available "the wisdom of the general, the pure body of Tathagata", but because they are hidden in ignorance. "Tathagata pure legal body" is "hidden", while "ignorance of contamination" is (solar) concealed; united both Power and Department that called "Tathagata Museum".

Although this noun communicates with positions, the intention is to refer to the part of "pure dharma of virtue" hidden in the ignorant ignorance that is called "Tathagata", not just the whole thing. the legal contamination.

On the contrary, calling A skin again refers to "legal contamination", and Asi is galangal refers to "pure law".

This noun is very narrow, belongs to "feet as tasteless". And the pure law of the seven previous knowledge, also collectively known as Tathagata Museum.

Although this noun communicates with positions, the intention is to refer to the part of "pure dharma of virtue" hidden in the ignorant ignorance that is called "Tathagata", not just the whole thing. the legal contamination.

On the contrary, calling A skin alone is only about "legal contamination", while Tathagata Museum is specific to "pure France".

This noun has a very narrow meaning, it belongs to "Chon as a vi". And pure fish of the previous seven laws, also collectively known as Tathagata.

In short, combining the nouns to compare and choose, the noun "An-na-na" is more complete.

IV. ONLY THE "CAN" OF THE A-DA-NA MODE

Y strictly follow the paragraph above, you already know this general concept, and find that you should only choose the noun Ananda. This is the crucial part of this thesis.

We have seen that there is a nominal, then that nomenclature must of course be based on a given body. So the "Hidden" of An-na-na how? - Answer: That is the law; It is not possible to leave the dharma, but to find the formula An-na-na.

We must know that the heavens, the earth, the people, and everything are the consciousness of Ananda, but we cannot see the "consciousness of Ananda", but only the heavens, the earth, and the animals; it is because of two attachments: Self, the current Dharma. As well as the eyes, see the spotted flowers in vain. Because the eyes are chewing, so only see spotted flowers that do not see nowhere.

Beings because of two accept (Self, France) and two obstacles (negativity and mental obstacles) obsessed, should not see the A-da-na, but only the contaminants. Ancient Nhon said: "Nhã nhon nhac con prime, the great rules of the earth without pity": If the enlightened person is chon mind, then the great earth fruit no longer an inch of land (Kinh Lang strict), that is the idea here.

1. The posthumous self-consciousness of the Great Noble Truth of Ananda's consciousness:  - "Voice" is the hearing of the ears, "Sac" is the seeing of the eyes. Because of the names "sound" and "rupa", it is possible to indicate the body of speech and matter.

Now we have heard the name and know the meaning of the A-da-na, so must show its body (form) to try it out. - Ananda, your eyes cannot see it and the ears cannot hear it; So how to show its body! We just follow the Sutta, the Buddha's Commentary and reasoned to know the A-da-na.

As the previous paragraph, quoted in Duy Duy's essay, says, "There is a supernormal ability to maintain the connection of the next life", thus considering that there is this A-da-na formula; or "Has the function to keep the body and the world", so that the comparisons know there is this A-na-na; or "There is the function of preserving the seed of the Dharma," so that the judge, knows there is A-da-na.

The understanding of the A-na-na here, is due to reasoning that knows, should not be able to express only the physical form of this consciousness. Like the Philosopher, only inference silently, thinking far away, nothing specific.

For example, some people have never visited Lo Son, only listened to people talking about Lo Son landscape, or saw pictures of scenes, then distinguished: that place is Dai Lam mountain, that is mountain Ngu Lao mountain, that place is Mount Co Leaders etc ... just by measuring the thought that know, not ever personally to see Lu Son.

Know this A-na-na consciousness, too, just through listening to the scriptures or reasoning then compare that know. Want to know directly A-da-na, must be angry that the Great Saint uses the "post-prime self-attainment" to see this consciousness.

The word "Dai saint" says the word "Dai" is a personal choice for Hinayana; saying the word "Holy" is a private option, that is, only the Bodhisattva is angry from the Land.

"Mind" has two types: 1. "Basic mind", ie As reason (also known as Indistinguishable position). 2. "Post location", ie As location (also known as False position).

"Hau prime location again has two parts: 1. Self post office favorable position; 2. Greeting cards favorable disposition. This A-da-na, only the position "Self-post-victory" will know. Result of the Buddha, on "Self-use life," then use "Self post-post-privilege" (also Body use life expectancy, then use post-privilege Postcard).

In the four positions, but three before, ie: Member of the scene, Equal mind and Dieu observing the position, each location has enough both: Basic and DAC; only the fourth position is "The possession of the office", then there is only "Hau privileged" without the "Basic position", because not being able to witness "Chon as".

Bodhisattva only uses the mind "Self-conquering the Prime Minister" of Equality Tanh and Dieu to observe the knowledge that this A-da-na knowledge.

The seventh consciousness, when it is not yet transformed into the mind, only conditions of the eighth consciousness; when it turned into location, it is also possible to know all dharma; But only know the French are the A-da-na.

If the self-nature emulated, that is, the Bodhisattva abides in the place of the illusory Tam ma; At that time, the legal bases of predestination (known) were like the illusory scenes, the only mode of enlightenment. Because of this, the scriptures say: "The Sea of ​​Awakens usually dwells".

To the Buddhahood, to attain the fullness of the four positions, to finally come to the end of this A-da-na experience; do dwell in the place of Hai An Tam black, new or known throughout the borders of the French "As illusory real".

2. Only the base of the new evidence knows the formless feet; just as the physicist said: The whole universe is only matter (pure); And the Biologist said it was born etc. So that's why it says: the wise find that mind ”. - Tri post office gained privileged knowledge of A-da-na, then all the legal awakening A-da-na; Basic Knowledge knows Chon as all the dharma are Chon.

3. 4. V. ASSOCIATION OF NAME TO EXPLAIN

The A-da-na is the predestined scene of the position "Self-postponed". Because according to every aspect of this consciousness, there are many names. Now gather the names to explain.

BECAUSE. ONLY THE FOLLOWING WORDS

Buddhas and Bodhisattvas use the base of mind, body, and feet. This realm is very profound and delicate, unable to speak and think. As Zen religious parties call: "The first young head does not give speech and understanding" (First room first, regardless of conversation).

About the law of dependent origination, such as the law of dependent origination, A and interdependent origination, etc. are all set from the position of the attainment of attainment. As the Zen monk said, "The second new head is quite negotiable."

Only Buddha, the eighth consciousness, is pure; and from the Bodhisattva coming down, the eighth consciousness has not left infection. If the eighth consciousness is pure, then the dhammas of dependent origination are unsuccessful (because there is nothing to hold the contingent particles).

If we say "due to the seven pre-contaminants containing the seed, the current contaminants are attained". - It is not reasonable to say so; because the previous 7 can not preserve the seed of the law. The method is not seed, can not be born. If accept "no multiplication of birth" (no raw material that was born) is in the pagan, not Buddhists.

Again, if so, the Buddhas do not have enough four, because kill 7 contaminants before, but into the eighth pure, there is no Dieu to observe the mind or Equality of the mind, etc ...

Because of the above reasons, so in addition to Buddha, from the Bodhisattva coming down, the eighth consciousness is not pure, just "infinite richness signed up"; It must be like that.

3. His feet, Tripitaka Dharma said: "Yama ma la (Bach pure consciousness) is the ninth consciousness, the eighth consciousness is the infection of the net harmony; The previous seven consciousnesses were the defiled consciousness, when turning the infection into pure, all the seven preceding defilements were eradicated and the partial defilement of the Eighth consciousness was eliminated; at that time only the pure part of the eighth consciousness became the ninth consciousness. " - In fact, just ignore the complex part of the eighth consciousness, to prove its total purity only. Nor does it have to eradicate the whole of the eighth consciousness, but there is another consciousness called the ninth consciousness.

As people today, called "scholar", translating Duy Duy books in the Ming and Thanh dynasties into foreign languages, many mistakes. But the world heard that "the Scholar", respected and put all their trust in them, and then continued to use it, not daring to think of mistakes.

He feet for "Yama ma la" is the Ninth, not He just "Tanh Chon as equality across the law" as the Ninth consciousness; but only the pure part of the eighth consciousness is the ninth consciousness, which is not true.
