Samyutta of the Gods -ooOoo- I. Product of Reed I: Buc Luu (SI,1) Thus I heard. At one time the Blessed One was in Sàvatthi (Sāvatthi), Jetavana (Victory), in his garden Anāthapindika (Level of Solitude). Then a deity, when the night was almost over, with a splendid beauty resplendent in the whole of Jetavana, went to the Blessed One, after arriving, bowed down to the Blessed One, and stood to one side. Standing to one side, the deity said to the Blessed One: -- Venerable sir, how did you get out of the flood? -- Hey, sage, don't stand back, don't step forward, I'm beyond the flood. -- Venerable Sir, how can you not stand still, not step forward, you are beyond the flood? -- Hey, sage, when I stand still, my time sinks. O sage, when I step forward, my time drifts; therefore, sage, do not stand still, do not step forward, I am beyond the flood. (God): Long time ago, I saw the Brahmin's silence. Don't stand, don't step forward, Overcome attachments in life. The deity said so and the Master accepted. That deity knew: "The Blessed One has accepted me". He bowed down to the Blessed One, turned his right body towards him, and disappeared on the spot. II. Liberation (Si.2) ... In Sàvatthi. Then a deity, when the night was almost over, with a splendid beauty illuminating the whole Jetavana region, approached the Blessed One. Having arrived, he bowed down to the Blessed One and stood to one side. Standing to one side, that deity said to the Blessed One: -- Venerable Sir, do you know how to liberate, escape, and separate from living beings? -- Hey sage, I know liberation, separation, separation for sentient beings. -- Venerable Sir, how do you know liberation, separation, separation for sentient beings? Joy, rebirth is ended, Perception and consciousness are eradicated, Feelings are destroyed, calm, Thus, sage, I know liberation, Separation from and separation, For all kinds of beings. III. The Elapse of Time (Special Variety 8.8, Dai 2,427b) (Si,3)... , Night and day are always moving, Age of youth, Continue to leave us. Those who will observe, This Fear of death, Do meritorious deeds, To the foot of peace. (World Honored One): Time passes quietly, Night and day are always moving, Age of youth, Continue to leave us. Those who will observe, This Fear of death, Abandon all advantages, The mind is directed towards tranquility. V. How Much To Cut. (Si,5) ... Standing to one side, the deity spoke this verse in front of the Blessed One: How much to cut, how much to give up, how much more to practice, how much to overcome, to be named, Male-stilts crossed the river? (World Honored One): Must cut off to five, Must give up up to five, Practice five more dharmas (force), Overcome five fetters, To have a name, Male-stilts "cross the stream". BECAUSE. Awakening (Si,5) ... Standing to one side, the deity spoke this verse in front of the Blessed One: How many dharmas are asleep, When other dharmas are awake? How many dharmas of awakening, When the other dharma falls asleep? How many jobs Take us to the ceiling? How many deeds make us pure? (World Honored One): There are five dharmas of slumber, When other dharmas are awake, There are five dharmas of awakening, When other dharmas are drowsy. It is the five deeds that bring us to the ceiling, It is the five actions that make us pure. VII. Not Willow Tri (Si,4) ... Standing to one side, that deity spoke this verse in front of the Blessed One: Those with dharmas, Not fully understanding, Being led astray, Surrounding all the different teacher. They are constantly asleep, They have no awareness, Now it's really time, They need to wake up. (World Honored One): Those with dharmas, Skilled in understanding and discerning, Not led astray, Surrounded by heresies, They attain Perfect Enlightenment. They know full well, On the unbalanced road, They walk in balance. VIII. Me Lon (Volume 22.5, Episode 2.154b. Bizarre 9.5, Episode 2, 435c) (Si,4) ... Standing to one side, that deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Those who regard all dharmas, Overly infatuated with confusion, Led astray, Surrounded by heresies , They are constantly asleep, They have no awareness, Now is the time indeed, They need to wake up. (World Honored One): Those who are against dharmas, Not indulged in confusion, Not led astray, Surrounded by heresies, They attain Perfect Enlightenment. They know full well, On the unbalanced road, They walk in balance. IX. The Desire for Pride (Volume 36.4, Dai 2,261a, Diep 8.2, Dai 2.426a) (Si,4) ... Standing to one side, the deity spoke this verse in front of the Blessed One: The opponent likes pride. , Here there is no restraint, No clear wisdom, No concentration of mind, Single dwelling in the mountains, Living with a distracted mind, He is not beyond, The domination of magic power. (World Honored One): Abandoning all pride, With a mind well versed in concentration, With a mind skillful in self-killing, Freed from all afflictions, Alone in the mountains (precepts), With an undistracted mind, He is liberated from the domination of mana. At one time the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi (Sāvatthi), Jetavana (Victory), in his garden Anāthapindika (Level of Solitude). There, the Blessed One called the bhikkhus: "Monks" -- "Yes, venerable sir." Those bhikkhus obeyed the Blessed One. The Blessed One said this: "Once upon a time, monks, there was a deity of the Thirty-three heavens, surrounded by a large group of goddesses, who roamed in the Garden of Joy, enjoying the five heavenly pleasures of merit. Now, that deity utters this verse: They do not know happiness, If they do not see Joy, The abode of both Heavens, People, and the famous Thirty-Five Realms. Hearing this, bhikkhus, another deity replied to him with a verse: Fool, why don't you know, the Sacrifice said: "All formations are impermanent, Self-nature must arise and pass away. (World Honored One): Loving someone is equal to loving yourself, What wealth is better than rice, What morning is better than wisdom, What country is better than showers. IV. The Kingslayer Class (Journal 36.15 Slaughter, Dai 2,263b) (Si,6) Between the two-legged rows, the Slaughter is supreme, Among the four-legged species, the Bull is the best, Among the ranks concubines, ladies are the winner. In the rows of boys, the eldest son is the winner. (World Honored One): Among the two-legged species, Right Enlightenment is supreme. Among the tetrapods, the Purebred is supreme. Among the concubines, Nhu Thuan is the ultimate victory. In the ranks of boys, Loyalty is the ultimate victory. V. The Sound of Deep Forest (or Than Tranquility) (Si,7) (Journal 50.II, An Dwelling, Dai 2,360b) (Variety of 16.26, Dai 2.490b) It is noon time, Birds rest quietly. , The sound of the jungle echoes, I tremble, I am terrified. Falling asleep, Laziness (Volume 22.23, Dai 2.160a) (Si,7) (Variety of 9.15, Dai 2.437c) Falling asleep, lazy, yawning, Unhappy, overeating, Here, for sentient beings, Holy religion is not revealed. Falling asleep, lazily, yawning, Unhappy, overeating, With diligence, cutting them off, the Noble Path is purified. VII. Difficult to Do (or Turtle) (Volume 22.25, Dai 2.169b) (Si,7) (Variety of 9.14, Dai 2.437b) Difficult to do, Hard to be patient, Lack of wisdom, practicing ascetic, The place of depraved fools, That place is full of obstacles. How many days of practicing Sa-mon If the mind does not control, Every step, must fall, Slave for thinking, Like a turtle withdrawing its legs and feet, In its shell. The same is true of the Male-stilts, Accepting all thoughts, Not being attached to anything, Not harming anyone, Completely pure, Not criticizing anyone. VIII. Tam Quy (Si,7) He is overcome by evil, Who can he find in the world? Who knows how to stop criticism, Like a gentle horse with a whip. One who is controlled by evil, Lives often mindfully, He achieves results, Suffering is ended, Walking in balanced steps, On an unbalanced path. IX. Am Tranh (Si8) He does not have a hamlet, He has no home, He has no ropes, He is free from the evil system. (World Honored One): I don't have a war, I don't have a home, I don't have a rope, I'm free from the shackles. (Vien Thien): What do you say am? Say what is home? Say what is rope? What is the system of sayings? (World Honored One): You say that am is your mother, You say that your home is your wife, If you say that you are tied, you are a child. (God): Good thing, He is not am! Good luck, no home! Good luck, no strings! Fortunately, He escaped! X. Samiddhi (Variety of 38.17, Dai 2,281c) (Si,8) (Variety of I.17) Dai 2,379a) 1) Thus I heard. At one time the Blessed One was staying at King's House at Tapodàràma (Hot Springs Vihara). 2) Venerable Samiddhi, when the night was almost over, got up and went to the hot spring to wash his hands and feet. After washing hands and feet, coming out of the hot springs, the Venerable stood, put on a robe to dry his hands and feet. 3) Then a deity, when the night was almost over, with a wonderful color, illuminating the entire hot spring area, went to the venerable Samiddhi, and after arriving, stood in the middle of nowhere, Saying a verse to Venerable Samiddhi: Don't enjoy, He begs for alms, Now begging for alms, don't enjoy, Enjoy and then beg for food, Don't waste time. (Samiddhi): In your time, I do not know. In our time, hidden does not show. Do not enjoy, I beg for alms, Do not waste my time. 4) Then the deity stood on the ground and said to the Venerable Samiddhi: -- Monk, you are young, but you have left home, you are a teenager, your hair is still black in your youth. During the infancy of his life, he did not enjoy sensual pleasures. Monks, enjoy the cravings of the world. Don't give up the present and run after what is dominated by time. 5)--Friend, I do not abandon the present and run after what is governed by time. And, sage, it is we who give up what is governed by time to pursue the present. Friend, the Blessed One said, sensual pleasures are conditioned by time, much suffering, many afflictions (Upayàsà); More danger there. And this dharma belongs to the present, is not influenced by time, comes to see, has the ability to move upwards, only the wise can understand for themselves. 6)--And how, bhikkhu, did the Blessed One say that sensual pleasures are conditioned by time, that there is more suffering, more affliction, more danger there? How is belonging to the present this dharma, not influenced by time, coming to see, capable of upward direction, only the wise can understand for themselves? 7) -- Hey sage, I'm a novice, just came here not long ago. I cannot explain extensively to you this law and this law. But the Blessed One, the Arahant, the Fully Enlightened One, is now at Rajagaha at the Tapoda Vihara (Hot Spring). Go to the Blessed One and ask what this means. As the World-Honored One replied to him, so be it. 8)--Bhikkhu-stilts, It was not easy for us to go to that World-Honored One, who was surrounded by other gods with great power. Monk, if you go to that Blessed One and ask for this meaning, we can come to listen to the Dharma. 9) -- Yes, Sage. The venerable Samiddhi obeyed the deity, went to the Blessed One, after arriving, bowed down to the Blessed One and sat down to one side. Sitting down to one side, Venerable Samiddhi said to the Blessed One: 10) -- Here, venerable sir, after the night was almost over, I got up and went to a hot spring to wash my hands and feet. After washing my hands and feet, coming out of the hot spring, I stood and put on a robe to dry my hands and feet. World-Honored One, a deity, after the end of the night, with excellent color, illuminating the whole hot water, came to me, and after arriving, stood in the middle of nowhere and said this verse: "Not enjoying , he begged for alms, Now begging for alms, not enjoying, Enjoy your alms and don't waste your time." 11) When I heard this, World-Honored One, I replied to that deity in verse: "In your time, I do not know, My time, hidden, does not appear, If I don't enjoy it, I'll go for alms, I won't waste my time." 12) The Blessed One, then the deity stood down on the ground and said to me: "-- Monk, you are young, but you have left home. young, jet-black hair, in his youth. During his childhood, he did not enjoy sensual pleasures. Bhikkhu, enjoy the sensual pleasures of the world. Do not give up the present in order to pursue what is governed by time." 13) When I was told this, World-Honored One, I said to that deity: "--Friend, I do not give up the present to run after the present. what is governed by time. And, sage, it is we who give up what is governed by time to pursue the present. That which is of time, sage, is sensual pleasures, spoken of as much suffering, as much defilement (upayàsa), the danger there being more. But this dharma belongs to the present, is not influenced by time, comes to see, has the ability to move upward, only the wise can understand for themselves." 14) When this was said, World Honored One, the deity spoke. to me: "- And how, bhikkhus, did the Blessed One say that sensual pleasures are conditioned by time, more suffering, more afflictions, more danger here? How is it of the present that this dharma is not influenced by time, comes to be seen, has the ability to move upwards, only the wise can understand for themselves?" 15) When I was told this, World Honored One, I said to that deity: "-- Hey, sage, I'm a novice, just came here not long ago. If they do not understand the Things that are said, They come to bind. Dominated by the god of death, If they fully perceive the Things that are said, They have no perception, The Things that are said. For such a taste, Error is definitely not. If you do know, Speak up on the Yaksha. 19)--Venerable sir, I do not understand broadly the meaning of what the Blessed One said briefly. It would be nice if the Blessed One spoke to me so that I could broadly understand what the Blessed One said briefly. (World Honored One): 20) Equal, win or lose to me, Think so the fight starts; All three do not waver, Equal, won does not arise. If you do know, Speak up, Yaksha. 21)--Venerable sir, I do not understand broadly the meaning of what the Blessed One said briefly. Instead, if the Blessed One spoke to you so that you could understand widely what the Blessed One said briefly. 22) (World Honored One): Abandon calculation, Don't run after illusions, Abandon all craving, Against nama-rupa in the world, He has put an end to hindrances, No worries, no craving. Gods and Humans, This life or the next, In the realm of gods, Or in all abodes, Seeking but not finding, Traces of him. If you know that person, Speak up, Yaksha. 23)--World-Honored One, in brief, I understand the broad meaning of the Blessed One's words: Do not do evil throughout the world, Do not do evil in body, mouth, and mind, Abandon all craving, Mindfulness, alertness of mind. Enlightenment, No asceticism, no use, no benefit. III. Quality Sword (SI,13) ... (Destiny in Sàvatthi). Standing to one side, that deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: I. Sword: Like a sword touching skin, Like a fire burning above his head, Male-stilts should be mindful, Go forth from the home and give up craving. (World Honored One): As a sword touches the skin, Like a fire burning on the head, so be mindful, Renunciation of the body view. II. Touch No contact, no touch, There is contact, there is time to touch, Should harm people without harm, There is contact, there is touch, Whoever harms others is not harmed, People are pure, unpolluted, Fools reap evil fruit, As reverse dusty wind. III. The internal and external hindrances, Beings are afflicted by the hindrances, I ask Gotama, Who is free from this hindrance? (World Honored One): One who abides in the precepts has wisdom, Cultivates the mind and wisdom, is zealous and prudent, that bhikkhu is free from hindrances. To those who have abandoned Greed, hatred and ignorance, One who has ceased to be plagiarized, He is free from the hindrances. Where nama and rupa, Ended up, without residue, Abandoned the hindrances, form perception, There is the cessation of hindrance. IV. Conquer the Heart (Si,14) Where the mind dominates, That place suffers. Total domination of the mind, Get rid of suffering completely. (World Honored One): Should not control the mind, Perfect in all respects, Do not overpower the mind, If self-control is attained. Where the evil dharma arises, That place subdues the mind. V. The A-la-Han (Journal 22.6-7, La-Han, Dai 2.154b (Si,14) (Diary 9.6, Dai 2.435c) The Male-stilts La-Han, Did what must be done, The smuggled out, this body, the ultimate body, he can say: "I have just said it myself." He can say: "They say it is mine". (World Honored One): The Male-stilts La- Han, Has done what was to be done, The cankers are ended, This body, the ultimate body, He can say: "I just said it myself", He can say: "They say it's mine". He knows well, The name is in the world, Because it's just a name, he's also a name (God): The Male-stilts La-Han, Did what was to be done, The cankers are ended, This body , the ultimate body. Is that Male-stilts, Approaching conceit, When he has said: "I have just said it". When he said: "They say it's mine"? (World Honored One): He who has put an end to pride, No more ties, All consequential arrogance, Is completely eradicated. A position of wisdom, Beyond all illusions, He can say: "I have just said it myself", He can say: "They say it's mine". He knows well, The name is in the world, Because it is only a name, He is also a name. BECAUSE. Light (Variety, Dai 2,360b) (Si, 15) (Variety of 15.12, Dai 2.478c) What illuminates life, Because of them, life is bright? I came to ask the Blessed One, Wanting to know the answer. (World Honored One): Four things illuminate the world, Fifth, this is not there. The day, the bright sun, The night, the moon shines, The fire burns red day and night, Shines everywhere. Right enlightenment, light and dark prevails, This morning, supreme light. VII. Flowing Water (Si, 15) Where does the water flow backwards? Where does the whirlpool stop? Where is nama and rupa, Annihilated, without residue? Where water and earth, Fire and wind do not firmly dwell, Therefore the water flows backwards, There the whirlpool ceases, There name and form, There is annihilation, there is no residue. VIII. Great Richness (Si, 15) Great wealth, Wealth, greatness, Always envious of each other, Indulging in passion without fear, Among people living fluctuating, Drifting with the stream of rebirth. Who gives up disability and craving, Does not waver between life. (World Honored One): The monastic leaves home, Abandoning children, livestock, and body, Abandoning greed and hatred, And abandoning ignorance, One who is completely rotten, Arhat, Not wavering in the midst of life. IX. Four Wheels (Si,16) Four Wheels, Nine Doors, Full of filth, afflicted with greed, Sinking in mud, Oh, Great Hero, Such a human being, What will the future be like? (World Honored One): Cut off joy and attachment, Greed and evil, Cravings are eradicated, Such will be the birth of animals. X. Son Duong (Si, 16) Legs like the foot of a chamois, Both slim and strong, Eating in moderation, Not greedy, passionate, Like a lion, a wild elephant, Solitary, without lust. After coming, I asked, How do I get rid of suffering? (World Honored One): There are five desires in the world, the mind-base is the sixth. Here, out of desire, Thus is free from suffering. IV. At one time the Blessed One was in Sàvatthi (Sāvatthi), Jetavana (Victory), in his garden Anāthapindika (Level of Solitude). 2) Then many Satullapa fairies, after the night was almost over, with brilliant colors resplendent throughout the Jetavana region, went to the Blessed One, and after arriving, bowed down to the Blessed One and stood to one side. 3) Standing to one side, a deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Be close to good people, Stay close to good people, Know the wonderful dharma of good people, Get better, not bad. 4) Then another deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Befriend good people, Stay close to good people, Know the wonderful dharma of the good, Gain wisdom, nothing else. 5) Then another deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Be close to good people, Stay close to good people, Know the wonderful Dharma of good people, Don't be sad, in the midst of sorrow. 6) Then another deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Befriend good people, Stay close to good people, Know the wonderful Dharma of good people, Being born in good animals. 8) Then another deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Be close to good people, Stay close to good people, Know the wonderful dharma of good people, Beings are always happy. 9) Then another deity said to the Blessed One: -- World-Honored One, of all of them, who spoke in a good way? -- In this regard, All of you speak well. However, listen to what I say: Be close to good people, Stay close to good people, Know the wonderful Dharma of good people, Be free from all suffering. Thus the Blessed One preached. Those Immortals happily believed in the Blessed One's words. II. San Tham (Variety, Dai 2,354c) (Special Variety, Dai 2,473b) (Si,18) 1) At one time the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, Jetavana, in Mr. Anàthapindika's garden. 2) Then many Satullapa fairies, after the night was almost over, with excellent color, illuminating the whole Jetavana area, went to the Blessed One, after arriving, bowed down to the Blessed One and stood to one side. 3) Standing to one side, a deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Because of greediness and distraction, Thus do not give, Whoever desires merit, Having wisdom should give. 4) Then another deva uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: What the greedy and greedy do not dare to give, That fear comes to them, For not giving alms. What the greedy and greedy people fear, It is hunger and thirst, Fools have to feel, This life and the next life. So let's refrain from being greedy, giving alms, taking on defilements, living beings firmly in residence, meritorious deeds in the next life. 5) Then another deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Not dying among the dead, Like a friend on the road, Sharing rare food, Such is the Permanent Dharma. Those who have little, are happy to share, Those who have many are difficult, give them, Give alms from the poor, Earn thousands of gold coins. 6) Then another deity uttered this verse in front of the Blessed One: Difficult to give, Hard to do. It is difficult for the wicked to obey. It is difficult to change the law of the good. Therefore, the good and the evil, the living beings must be different, the wicked are born in hell, and the good people go to heaven. 7) Then another deity said to the Blessed One: -- World-Honored One, out of all of them, which one spoke in a good way? -- In this regard, all of you said in a nice way. Yet listen to Me: The conduct is still righteous, Although living in trifles, Although having to support a wife and children, With food gathered, But still give alms, From a meager container, From a thousand give alms, From a hundred thousand things to give, Not equal in value, Such a giver. 8) Then another deity said this verse to the Blessed One: Why are they giving, So vast, so vast, Not equal in value, The poor, truly giving? Why do thousands of people give alms, From hundreds of thousands of gifts, Not equal in value, Such a giver? 9) Then the Blessed One spoke this verse to that deity: There are people who give alms, Unusually, After slashing and killing, Only sorrow is relieved. Such almsgiving, Full of tears of beatings, Not of equal worth, The poor, giving alms. From a thousand people giving, From a hundred thousand giving, Worth not equal, Such a giver. III. Good (Si,20) 1) In Sàvatthi. 2) Then many Satullapa fairies, when the night was near, with excellent color, illuminating the whole Jetavana area, went to the Blessed One, after arriving, bowed down to the Blessed One and stood to one side. 3) Standing to one side, a deity uttered this inspirational word before the Blessed One: How good is almsgiving! Dear Venerable One. Because of greed and heedlessness, Thus do not give, Whoever desires merit, Having wisdom should give. 4) Then another deity uttered this inspired word in the presence of the Blessed One: How good is almsgiving, Venerable One! But how auspicious, Giving in need! Food (Si, 32) Gods, Humans, both species, They love to eat and drink, What is the name of the Yaksha, Again they don't like to eat? (World Honored One): Whoever gives with faith, With a pure mind, Receives that portion of food, This life and the next. So avoid covetousness, generosity, fetters of defilement, sentient beings firmly in residence, merit in the next life. IV. One Root (Si, 32) One root, two aspects, Three uncleanness, five environments, Great sea, twelve disasters, Super holy whirlpool. V. The Perfect One (Si,33) The Perfect Perfection, Seeing the occult meaning, Granting true wisdom, Escaping from the sensual organs, Seeing the omniscient one, the Good One with wisdom. The Goddess (Si,33) The goddess gathers, the hungry ghosts go back and forth, The forest is famous for the forest of delusion, How can there be a way out? Planting Forests (Si,33) Those who day and night, The merit is always increasing, The Dharma, the strict precepts, Who is born in the heavenly world? Those who plant gardens, plant forests, Those who build bridges and roads, Dig wells, give water to drink, Those who give houses, These are the day and night, The merit is always increasing, The Dharma, complete precepts, Those who were born in Heaven. Smart karma and mental dharmas, Precepts and ultimate victory over life, It is these wonderful dharmas that make living beings pure, Not for the sake of family lineage, Not for wealth. Therefore the sage, Seeing his own benefit, Rightly enlightened, kills the mind of the Dharma, Thus is purified. Like Sāriputta, the precepts of wisdom and serenity, a bhikkhu reaches the edge of enlightenment, Here is the ultimate. IX. San Tham (Si,34) In the life of those who are dispassionate, Aloof or repulsive, Creating obstacles, Preventing others from giving alms, This life and the next, What is their retribution? We have come here, Just wanted to ask the Blessed One, We would like to know, how would the Blessed One respond? (World Honored One): In the life of those who are dispassionate, Aloof or repulsive, Create obstacles, Prevent others from giving alms, Are reborn in hell, Bang birth, Da-ma world. If born as a human, Born into a poor family, Y, food, sex, joy, They are very difficult. What fools wish, They can't get it, This is what the present fruit is, The next life is born with evil beasts. (Deity): Thanks to what you said, We are understood, Venerable Gotama, I ask another question. Here is the human body, Modest and not greedy, Believe in Buddha and Dharma, Respect the Sangha, This life and the next life, What is their retribution? We have come here, Just wanted to ask the Blessed One, We would like to know, how would the Blessed One respond? (World Honored One): Here is a human body, Modestly without greed, Believing in the Buddha and the Dharma, Respecting the Sangha, They shine the gods, There they are reborn. If they are born as human beings, They are born into rich families, Y, real, sensual, happy, They gain without difficulty, Like natural beings, Enjoying life, Amidst possessions, Being gathered by others, The present fruit is like that, The world after birth is Heaven. X. A companion, a companion, -- A mother at home, a friend when needed, a constant friend, a self-made merit, a friend for the next life. IV. Facility -- What thing, person base? What, you supreme (in life)? What kind of friendship maintains the network? Why, not liberated? -- Craving is born as a human, Righteous mind is always wandering, Sentient beings suffer from reincarnation, Because of suffering, there is no liberation. VII. Human Birth -- What is reborn as a human? What is always wandering? What is subject to reincarnation? What people rely on? -- Craving for being born as a human, Righteous mind always wandering, Beings subject to reincarnation, Right karma, people to rely on. VIII. Phi Dao - What is called Non Dao? That killing dharma is not sad, This sage of the gods. II. Chariot (Si,41) -- What does the chariot represent? What does the flame represent? What does the kingdom look like? What do women look like? -- Flag embodies chariot, Smoke embodies fire, King embodies kingdom, Husband embodies woman. III. Property (Si, 42) -- What property in life is the ultimate for people? What skillful practice, Bring to the foot of peace? What is the supreme sweetness, Of all sweetness? How to live life, Called the ultimate life? -- Faith in this life is the ultimate asset. The Dharma is skillfully cultivated, Brings to the foot of peace. The ultimate sweet truth, Of all sweetness. Live the intellectual life, Called the ultimate life. IV. Rain (Si, 42) What is raised, Is it the ultimate? What is dropped, Is the ultimate fall? What objects often walk? What is the ultimate theory? (A Celestial Person): The seed is sprung, Is the supreme sprout. The rain is falling, Is the ultimate fall. The cow often walks, Son of the supreme. (World Honored One): Wisdom has arisen, It is supreme. Ignorance is dropped, Is the ultimate fall. Sangha often walk on foot, Buddha's supreme doctrine. V. Terror (Si, 42) Why in this life, Many people are afraid, Even though the path is mentioned, Under the form of difference? I ask Gotama, The wise one, Where should one dwell, Free from fear of the next life? (World Honored One): Stay righteous in your words and thoughts, and do not do evil deeds in your body. If he dwells in the house, With abundant wealth, Be faithful, gentle, Divide wealth, be gentle. Stay in these four dharmas, Not afraid of the next life. BECAUSE. Not Old (Si:43) -- Who is old, who is not old? How to call non-religious? What objects obstruct the law? What objects die day and night? What is unclean Virtue? What bath without water? How many holes in life, On it, the mind does not reside? I come to ask the Blessed One, I want to know the answer! - Sentient form is old, Name is not old, Greed is called the non-path, Craving, is the obstacle. Age of night, day of destruction, Female impurity of the holy life, Immersed in this uncleanness, Is all living beings. Asceticism and Virtue, Is bathing without water, Six holes in the world, On which the mind does not dwell, Laziness and heedlessness, Laziness, unrestrained self-control, Sluggishness and lethargy, All these six holes, All should be separated. VII. The Lord (Si,43) -- What is the owner of the world? What is the ultimate commodity? What rusts, Blades in the world? What's in this world, Create hell? Who took away, blocked? Who takes it, is it good? Who is constantly on the move, Joyful by the wise? -- The main force in life, Woman, the ultimate thing. Wrath rusts, The Blade is in the world. Thieves in this world, Create hell. Theft is taken away, blocked, Sa-mon brings, is liked, Sa-mon often walks around, Enjoyed by the wise. VIII. Desire (Si,44) -- Thinking for profit, giving no one, What does Man give up? What good should be uttered? What evil should be prevented? -- Man does not give himself, Should not give himself up, Good words should be uttered, Evil words, should be prevented. IX. Food -- What column of food? What attracts property? What attracts people? In life, what is difficult to give up? What compels mortals, Like a bird caught in a snare? -- Belief in food column, God of wealth attracts wealth. The heart wants to attract people, In life, wanting (iccha) is hard to give up. Desire binds mortals, Like a bird caught in a snare. X. Lightning (Si,44) -- What lights up the world? What awakens life? Who associates karma with people? What are their gestures? Who feeds the lazy and industrious, As a mother feeds her children? What kind of life-sustaining love, Y is on earth? -- Wisdom illuminates life, Mindfulness awakens life, Cows and people share karma, The plow path is the way. Rain feeds the lazy and industrious, Like a mother feeds her children. Rain upholds the lives of living beings, Y depends on the earth element. XI. No Arguments -- Who doesn't argue in life? Who lives without destruction? Who knows the desire of life? Who is often self-contained? Who abides like this, Father, mother, do you pay homage? Who, even if he has given birth, is revered by Sasli? -- Sa-mons do not compete in life, Sa-mons live without destruction, Sa-mons know their desires, Sa-mons are usually free, Sa-mons stay like that, Father, mother, brother respect.
