Buddha - The embodiment of PEACE. Going back in time more than twenty-six centuries ago, around 624 BC, a real historical person in the flesh appeared in the Lumbini garden in India, Nepal (Nepal) today. That person is Buddha Shakyamuni (Sakyamuni), the King of Peace, the Messenger of Peace, the embodiment of peace, born to bring wisdom, love, peace and happiness authentic for this world. According to the philosophy of Brahman (Brāhmaṇa) as well as the philosophies of other religions, man is considered to be in a very low position, the Brahma, the creator or a certain divine being is considered in the lowest position. High. Buddhism always puts people first, only human beings have the ability to be mindful, steady, and calmly walking on the path of peace and happiness. other than humans, there are no living beings on earth capable of undertaking and replacing such a sacred work. Such a person, motivated by noble and good ideals, is considered a person who transforms karma, transforms mortals into saints, transforms bad into good, transforms evil into good, transforms suffering into happiness, and so on. v… We know that Buddha means the Awakened One or the Enlightened One. Where there is a person who lives mindfulness and awareness in daily life, there he or she will be an embodied Buddha, that is, each of us, always dwelling in the light of the Buddha's compassion and wisdom. Ton. This person can bring peace to all sentient beings. When Prince Siddhartha was born, he walked on a lotus flower,[1] his right hand pointed to the sky, his left hand pointed to the earth and said: "Under heaven under heaven, Of all sentient beings, only human beings are supreme, even though all sentient beings have Buddha-nature." (All over the world, of all beings, only (Atman in Sanskrit, Atta in Pāli language, meaning Ego or Self), or person, or human is uppermost, although all living beings have Buddha-nature.), or (Heavenly the world, the only self-respecting one, necessarily sentient beings have Buddha-nature).[2] According to Buddhist thought, the "I" is first and foremost a human being, not a supreme being, or a certain Brahma. The "human" written here is the enlightened man, Shakyamuni Buddha, the embodiment of peace, overcoming all sorrows, sorrows and sufferings, bringing joy, happiness and peace average for the majority. “A single being, an extraordinary human being, appeared in this world, for the happiness of the many, for the happiness of the many, for the peace and happiness of gods and humans – that being is Shakyamuni Buddha.”[3] Studying the history of Buddhism, we know the life of the Buddha, the embodiment of love. , of peace, of liberation, always associated with sentient beings and the natural environment. The Buddha was born under the Ashoka or sorrowless tree in Lumbini, attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya. gave the first Dhamma talk (Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta) to the five brothers of the Venerable Knotted One (kondanna) at the Deer Park (Migadaya, Sarnath) and passed away under two Sala trees in Kusinara (Kusinàra). Relying on the natural environment to protect, to nurture and to water the seeds of love in the peaceful mind of all sentient beings, the Buddha, along with his disciples, set out to transport the wheel of the Dharma to spread throughout the world, bringing practical fruits of love, wisdom and peace not only to humans and animals, but also to trees, forests, mountains, and land. rocks, rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, seas, etc. v… Indeed, every time we have enough good conditions to study and practice the Buddha's teachings, we will surely live peaceful and happy lives in every moment of our daily lives. ta. That is why, past and present, wherever the Buddha and his disciples appear to propagate the Dharma and benefit sentient beings, there is peace and happiness brought to the Dharma world for sentient beings. all over this planet. In the Dhammapada, stanza 98 reads: "Either in the village or in the mountains, Or in the valleys or on the high hills, Wherever the Arhat dwells, There is so much joy there.” Arahant is a practitioner who practices, becomes enlightened and liberated, lives a peaceful and happy life, has the ability to give the fruits of peace and happiness to all sentient beings. Thus, each of us is an Arahant, each of us is a future Buddha, and each of us is a peaceful practitioner to bring materials of love and understanding to many people. By doing so, we can contribute to building a realm of paradise and bliss right here on earth. Therefore, wherever Buddhism and its teachings are spread, wherever the Buddha and his disciples go to propagate the Dharma, that place, that locality, the people there will always be safe. peace and tranquility both body and mind, the whole family, the village, the village and their country. Because Buddhism in the past as well as today has never had a religious war, never dropped a drop of blood for anyone, always bringing peace to all sentient beings. If people practice and properly apply the Buddha's teachings in their daily lives, peace and happiness will surely be revealed, permeated, and soothed their bodies and minds. Studying the teachings of the Buddha, we know that during the forty-five years of propagating the Dharma and saving sentient beings, the Buddha taught and taught his disciples many teachings, but all of them did not exceed beyond the main purposes, which are “suffering, the origin of suffering, the transformation of suffering, ie happiness, and the path leading to the transformation of suffering, bringing peace and happiness to the masses all over the planet. ”[4] That is why, The Buddha is honored by the world through ten noble titles as follows: "The Buddha, our peaceful and noble spiritual leader, is the most worthy to be offered offerings, the one who understands and who is loving, who is full of merit and wisdom, who has attained complete peace and liberation, who understands the world, who is able to tame people, who is a teacher of both. the world of gods and men, who is fully enlightened and awakened, and who is revered and revered by the world.” (1. Tathagata, 2. Consecration, 3. Righteous Knowledge, 4. Minh Hanh Tuc, 5. Thien The, 6. The World's Interpretation, 7. The Throne of God, 8. Thien Nhon Su, 9. Buddha , 10. World Honored One).[5] For forty-five years, the practical and useful teachings of the Buddha became known as the Dharma. "The Dharma, well taught by the Blessed One, is very practical at present, valuable beyond time, capable of transforming body and mind, capable of extinguishing the afflictions of greed, anger, delusion, pride, doubt, evil view, etc. v… Depending on the Buddhadharma, any wise person can practice by himself, communicate the Dharma, come to see, come to hear, come to understand, come to practice, and come to enjoy the fruits of peace and joy. and emancipation right now and here in the present life.”[6] Thanks to enough good conditions to approach Buddhism and become disciples of the Blessed One, we are fortunate to have many opportunities to practice Buddhism. Specifically, through the following five things of awakening as follows: "The first awakening thing is that we respect the life of all living beings, including humans, animals, even plants, flowers, rock… We do not kill, burn and destroy forests, mountains, rivers, lakes and seas. Practicing the first awakening means that we consciously take care of and nurture love for all species, we contribute to the protection of the environment and the life of all species and contribute to building a green planet, clean, and beautiful. The second awakening thing is that we respect private and public property, heritage, minerals and forest products, including gold and silver, precious stones, needles, blades of grass, bells, mules, logs..., We do not steal or appropriate other people's property. Practicing the second awakening means that we consciously spread generosity towards the poor, lonely and poor, we exploit natural resources in moderation for our descendants. can continue to depend on us, we contribute to the protection, maintenance and development of virtue, wealth and prosperity for the family, for society, and for the country. The third awakening thing is that we respect the integrity of the family, including spouses and children. We do not sexually abuse children, do not infringe on the conduct of others, and have sex only with our legal wife or husband. Practicing the third awakening means that we consciously protect the happiness of parents, spouses and children; We contribute to bringing peace, joy and good name to our families, clans, villages and the whole society. In order to continue the lineage of the Tang Dynasty, a layperson should have a wife, a husband, children, and grandchildren. In order to continue the lineage of the Saints, to inherit, to transmit, and to light up the torch of the Dharma, to light up the torch of love, monastics must spend a lot of time taking care of their cultivation and learning. preaching and helping many people. Those who choose the monastic life to live a peaceful life without distractions, they are not bound by family and children. The fourth awakening thing is that we respect the truth and respect everyone, including grandparents, parents, teachers, friends... We don't lie, don't talk nonsense,[7]don't say offensive things, [8] do not speak harsh words, do not speak vague and unclear news, do not speak words of hope and gain, do not speak words that cause division, discord, and disunity[9]… Practicing the fourth awakening means that we consciously speak truthful, righteous words, words of trust, harmony, reconciliation and gentleness, words of kindness, sweetness, ease of hearing and cute, valuable and useful words that build and bring trust, prestige, harmony, solidarity, and true brotherhood to yourself, to others, to your family, to your clan, and for the world wide community. The fifth awakening thing is that we respect the peace, tranquility, tranquility, stability and relaxation for the majority, including ourselves, our loved ones, and our neighbors. We do not drink intoxicants, do not smoke, do not watch movies, internet, and pornographic pictures, especially absolutely do not use opium and drugs. Practicing the fifth mindfulness means that we don't violate the above things. We practice the things of vigilance, diligence and mindfulness, taking care to protect a healthy and strong body, and a clear and lucid mind for ourselves and for others. We contribute to building and bringing prestige and faith of peace and happiness to our homeland and country. By practicing the above five things of mindfulness firmly and appropriately, We are not only helping ourselves, but also helping the Dharma Realm sentient beings all over this planet. We contribute to protecting the environment and living environment for this earth. Through our practice, we can bring the fruits of true peace, happiness, and peace to the human world today.”[10] With that in mind, we live now. very peaceful, the future we live very peaceful, we live very light and leisurely. Steadfast in the Buddha's teachings, we live without fear and worry at all. Although life is impermanent, whether birth, old age, sickness or death happens to our life in any circumstances, in any moment, our body and mind are still calm, leisurely and free. "Although life is impermanent Despite birth, old age, sickness and death, I have a way to go. No more fear."[11] You have a way, that means you choose, practice and apply the practice method in accordance with the Buddha's teachings with Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration into our daily lives. . As people who live mindfully, we study and practice firmly the Buddha's teachings, we enjoy and taste the dharma bliss, the taste of peace and happiness permeates and cools the body and mind. From here, we can contribute to bringing true peace everywhere. "The scent of flowers, Not against the wind, But the scent of a virtuous man, Against the wind is everywhere." A virtuous person is a practitioner who practices, has a peaceful and happy life, is stable and relaxed. This person is capable of bringing true peace to himself and to others in this very life. Indeed, The taste of his peace and liberation is radiant and pervades all directions. A virtuous person can be a Buddha now as well as in the future, can each of us vow to walk on the path of peace and spiritual liberation, vow to light up the light of love, vow to light up the light of peace for the many and vow to extend peaceful thoughts, peaceful words and peaceful deeds to bring the fruits of love and peace to the world. Understanding and doing so, each of us is a messenger of peace, each of us is a Buddha of peace, and each of us is the embodiment of peace everywhere and everywhere. Peace is truly present for ourselves and for others when each of us applies, practices and firmly abides in the Buddha's teachings. Each of us can enjoy the taste of peace and liberation right now and here in the present life. From here, we can contribute to building happy people, happy homes, and peaceful society. peace and prosperity throughout the planet. Therefore, whether lay Buddhists or monastics, whether Buddhists or non-Buddhists, we are deeply aware that we vow to walk together like a river, walk like a swarm of bees. , vow to walk together on the path of peace and vow to cultivate compassion together to contribute to bringing peace and happiness to the majority. Today, studying and recalling the compassionate and wisdom qualities of Shakyamuni Buddha - the embodiment of peace, we vow to arouse and develop the seeds of love and understanding, peace and happiness in a peaceful mind for the sake of self and others in this life. In a dignified, solemn, warm and peaceful atmosphere, many Vietnamese pagodas in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and Vietnam are fortunate enough to have enough good fortune to allow them to bring in a statue of the Emerald Buddha representing the World peace religion at the Temple for about a week or ten days. Thus, Buddhists or non-Buddhists have one time to admire and respect the statue to remind each of us to light the torch of love together, let's light the torch of God together. peace, and let's strengthen our brotherhood together to bring peace and happiness to ourselves and to others right here in this life. Wishing you all to reside and be imbued with the Buddha's peaceful teachings to cultivate and water the seeds of love and peace for the benefit of all sentient beings.
