Buddha Amitabha . Buddhist cosmology encompasses an incredibly large number of world systems that are farther away from our earth. Outside the mundane world, the six realms of samsara, there are innumerable pure lands stretching along the ten directions of the universe (the eight directions of the compass, the upper and lower directions). These pure paradises are home to superior beings including sacred Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas. Among the innumerable pureland realms, there are a number of particularly important ones including the realms of Bhikkhu kha (Vairochana), Vajrasattva, Da La (Tara), Avalokiteshvara (Avalokiteshvara), Maitriya (Maitriya), and Padmasambhava (Guru Padmasambhava). The most famous is Sukhavati, the Pure Land of Bliss lies to the West, on the other side of many universes. This ideal world is the home of the Buddha Amitayus. He controlled countless enlightenment practitioners, ascetics, and many other disciples. Because the light of His body permeates all other pure lands and is free of obstacles, His name in Sanskrit Amitabha (Amitabha) means Amitabha. Amitabha (Amitabha) is at the heart of a religious tradition called Pure Land Buddhism, very popular in China, Korea and Japan. In Tibet, the Pure Land of Bliss is a popular object of prayer and meditation, especially in rituals for the dead. In the Sutras, the historical Buddha Shakyamuni asserts to the followers that this is the pure land most likely to be reborn in order to attain enlightenment. Anyone who is reborn in the pure land of Bliss will be fully enlightened, for at least one lifetime, thanks to the qualities of this pure land, the blessings of the Buddha of Amitayus and the merits. their. ☀️ Origin of the Pure Land Tradition The tradition of the Buddha pure lands is rooted in many Buddhist scriptures. The Sutras (the common teachings) and the mantras (Tantric teachings) all mention the title and description of many pure lands, but Shakyamuni Buddha focused most on the description of the pure land. The ultimate bliss of Buddha Amitabha with vivid and beautiful details. The two volumes of Mahayana of particular importance are the Amitabha Sutra and the Amitabha Sutra. These teachings are the teachings of the Buddha to his close disciples. He taught Amitabha Sutra on the top of Mount Linh Thuu (Gridhakuta) near Rajagriha city (present day Rajgir city, Bihar state, India) to A-Nan-Da (Skt: Ananda) and A-Thị- Da (Skt: Ajita) and a huge assembly of other disciples. He taught the Sutras of Amitabha at the Garden of Solitude (in Shravasti, Uttar Pradech state, India today) to His Holiness the Buddha and another audience of disciples. These two sutras have appeared in many translations, including Chinese (from the 3rd century AD), Korean and Japanese (from the seventh century). Tibetan translator Yeshe De transformed these sutras from Sanskrit into Tibetan in the ninth century. ☀️ Three Shades of the Pure Land As we have previously observed, the Buddha Amitayus and His Pure Land of Bliss as described in this book belong to "manifest form", one of the three shades or three bodies of Buddhahood. - The first body is the ultimate body (dharmakaya), which is the formless body, the essence of Buddha nature, identical to reality itself. It is an absolute state of emptiness and total generosity, with no dimensions, features or limitations. - The second body is the body of life (the body of the body), which is the state of non-duality and most like. This is the pure land of material body, pure and inseparable from Buddha wisdom. It spread everywhere, forever, unchanging and full of joy. Only those who have been enlightened can see the ultimate pure land and bliss. - The third shade of Buddha nature is "Body manifestation" (incarnation). This is the physical body in which Shakyamuni Buddha and other Buddhas manifested in our human world. The pure land manifests as the relative form that ordinary and mundane beings as we can perceive if we have accumulated many wholesome actions. If we are reborn in one of the peaceful realms of manifestation, we will advance in our efforts to attain spirituality and reach the absolute pure land. As I once emphasized, our perceptions and experiences at different stages of our lives, especially at the moment of death, are the result of the mental habits we have created and is ingrained in our flow of consciousness in the past. If our mind is strongly agitated and becomes angry, hatred and negative perceptions, appearances, experiences of this life and especially of our future lives will appear. with us in the form of the hell realm. If our mind is always occupied with peaceful, happy, considerate thoughts and actions for others and if we have had positive perceptions such as the feelings of the Pure Land of Bliss then The world we reincarnate into will be a blissful positive world like the Pure Land of Bliss. The focus of the trainings described in this book is to be reborn in the manifest body of the Pure Land of Bliss. It will be easier to be reborn in any other pure land because the powerful vows of the Buddha of Amitabha will bring all sentient beings to his pure land of Bliss and will help them attain enlightenment. Enlightenment. ☀️ The Force Of The Buddha's Prayer The Great Sutras Amitabha tells the story of how the pure land of great bliss was formed. Countless ages ago, a monk named Dharmakara - who karma will become Buddha Amitabha - generated bodhicitta (Skt: Bodhichitta) and made a vow in front of his teacher, Lokeshvara that He will serve all sentient beings. At that time, Dharmakara also made many special vows to create his unique pure land with some unusual qualities. When he attained Buddhahood, his prayers resulted in the creation of the Pure Land of Bliss. According to the Tibetan translation of the Amitabha Sutra, Dharmakara made 48 vows to bring sentient beings to his new pure land. The following five vows give us an idea of the nature of the vow and His pure land. - In the first vow, Dharmakara vows not to become a Buddha if there are sentient beings reborn in his pure land, but suffer the sufferings of the Abhidharma realms, Samsara, Preta and Hell. So, for example, from the moment a sentient being in Hell is reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss, all his suffering as a sentient being of Hell will cease and he will become a happy being of the pure land. (Let us remember that the difference between a sentient being in the lower realms and a being in the pure land is in how they see and feel, objects arise in their consciousness.) In the second vow, he vowed not to become a Buddha unless all sentient beings born in his pure land would never have to be reborn again in a lower realm. - In his fourth vow, he vowed not to become a Buddha if sentient beings born in his pure land had characteristics different from those in the human realm and the gods realm. He wanted His pure land to be completely pure, but it also had qualities similar to those of Man and Devas. - In his 19th vow, he vowed not to become a Buddha until everyone wishing to be reborn in his pure land practiced reciting his name and dedicating merit to it. are reborn in the pure land. “May all sentient beings be like that. Even if someone just repeats the ten ideas of wanting to be reborn in my pure land, as long as he or she does not commit sin in the "five great sins" (the five rebels) Or deny the Dharma. " These conditions were not imposed by the Buddha; If sentient beings are not ready for liberation, the Buddha cannot force them to be liberated. - In his 30th vow, he vowed not to become a Buddha until sentient beings in his future pure land not only no longer suffer, but also acquire qualities such as infinite wisdom and faith. . The compassionate prayers of Buddha Amitabha are indeed very powerful. But just prayers alone do not help us to be reborn in the pure land. On our part, we must also have our own efforts. We must make sure nothing is done to stop our chances, for example committing one of the five "sins" or rejecting the Dharma and we must open the way to the pureland with The "four causes" to be reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss. ☀️ The Power of Buddha's Title Buddha Amitabha vowed to guide anyone who recited his name to his pure land. His title becomes the window through which we can see the Buddha of Immeasurable Light and his pure land of Bliss. Mahayana Buddhism teaches us to perceive everything as the form, sound, and experience of enlightenment. But to achieve this goal, we must enter through a particular gateway - be it a Buddha image, a sense of peace, or a sound with positive qualities. One such gateway is the title of Buddha Amitabha, which He has blessed us to help us reach Him and let Him reach us. The title of Amitabha Buddha is his intellectual, loving, and powerful presence. The moment we are conscious of His name, He is in us and with us. Therefore, if we are deeply concentrated and united with His title and with devotion, then we enjoy a multitude of qualities that make people enlightened. Devotion and confidence in the Buddha will naturally flourish. Soon, we will find no room for negative psychological states or afflictive emotions like greed, hatred, delusion and jealousy. When we humans are filled with the power of the Buddha's blessing, we naturally serve others. What we see, hear, and feel arises as His presence. His rebirth in the pure land of Bliss is the natural next step, If that blessed title becomes our thoughts and breaths with devotion and praise, even while we perceive ordinary images, sounds, or emotions - whether we are alive, dying or in the intermediate state - we will also be related to the Buddha through his name. The effect will be especially strong if we can recite the title and pray to the Buddha in the original language (Skt) Or in a language that has been blessed. But if praying in your own language inspires you more then use your own, because it is important to open your mind to devotion and develop faith. We should recite the blessed name of Amitabha Buddha as many times as possible. ☀️ What is the Pure Land? The manifestation body of the Pure Land of Bliss is in many ways the same as the highest qualities of the human realm and the gods realm. Therefore, beings born in this pure land have the same form as Man and Devas. Although the pure land appears to appear to be the object of dualistic concepts and emotions, it is filled with generosity and positive qualities. It is the celestial realm, in heaven (not on the ocean or on earth) and full of precious materials. It functions in a hierarchical order of teachers and disciples. All beings born in this pure land are disciples and among these there are Bodhisattvas. These Bodhisattvas will, in turn, become teachers of others. The Pure Land of Great Bliss is similar to the realm of Man and the gods in that it has dimensional structures, differences in size, distance, and relative time. But it is not subject to human suffering such as birth, old age, sickness, or death. Nor does it have to suffer the devas' sufferings like dying or going to the lower realms. Explaining why this pure land is called the Pure Land of Bliss, Buddha Shakyamuni said, “In the Pure Land of Bliss there is no suffering in the bodies of sentient beings. There is no suffering in their hearts. There are countless causes of happiness. Therefore, it is called the Pure Land of Bliss. ” The land on the pure land of Great Bliss is soft and flat like the palm of a young man's hand. It is immense, youthful, fresh, tender and smooth, without thorns, rocks or slopes. It is quiet, peaceful, joyous, and pure. It is made of seven precious materials and is adorned with gold designs, leaving no trace of crude, rough, dirty, dark or corrupt. It is vibrant, colorful, and emits light rays. In this pure land, countless other pure Buddha realms appear as reflections on the face of a clear mirror. One can see these reflected pure lands like one is watching other continents on a television in the living room. This pure land has no ordinary, dark mountains, but it is adorned with many types of precious, flat, high to low peaks. Here and there, there are mountains adorned with piles of gems, treasure mines, caves of precious jewels, and elegant vine-lined houses. Extremely beautiful trees with many colors adorn the pure land landscape. There are trees made of one, or three precious materials. Some other trees are made of seven precious materials: golden roots, silver stalks, turquoise branches, leaves of crystal, petals of cesium, flowers of pearls and fruit leaves of rose gem. These trees are soft, very smooth to the touch, radiating a sweet fragrance everywhere. In the gentle breeze blowing, calming sounds could be heard. This pure land is beautiful thanks to its deep and wide chains of ponds, lakes and rivers. Sentient beings play freely in those places. There are precious stone steps leading down to the pure blue pond. The ground is made of pearl ivory and is covered with gold sand. The reservoirs are filled with water with eight healthy qualities: clear, cool, gentle, beautiful, soft, pure, good for the throat and stomach. The extremely beautiful lotus flowers floating on the surface of the water emit a wonderful fragrance. The temperature of the water changes as you like. The sound of flowing river water sounds like the sound of hundreds of thousands of concerts that even heavenly music cannot match. On the banks of rivers and lakes are fragrant gardens. The rivers resound the teachings according to your request. Countless birds for the Buddha to manifest live in this pure land. Like the mountains, the flowers and other features of the pure land, the birds are all manifestations of the Buddha and the Buddha himself. Therefore, they are a source of peace, bliss, wisdom and enlightenment, not sources of greed, hatred, delusion and grasping. Just like a person in an ordinary realm hears ordinary birds singing, in this pure land you will hear birds singing blissful sounds and Dharma. However, if you like silence then you will only hear the sound of silence. All the flowers are made of precious materials with different colors. They are half, one, or ten as big as the week. There are countless golden rays of light emanating from each flower. On all those rays of light countless Buddhas appeared. The appearance of the Buddhas filled the infinite number of world systems, declaring the echo of the teachings to the hands of all listening beings. Practitioners in the pure land do not live on raw food. But if they want, whatever delicacy they like will appear before their eyes and satisfy them without having to eat. Likewise, whatever they want - frankincense, aromatic oils, umbrellas, horns, musical instruments, clothing or jewelry - will appear before their eyes as they wish. But these won't appear in front of people who don't want them. For those who want a castle, there will be castles with many floors, many arches made of precious materials appear in front of them: full of chairs, priceless beds, beautiful furnishings and styles. Strange decoration. Each of these mansions has thousands of heavenly beings serving unlimited music and entertainment. The disciples walked together through the sky with their wonderful castles, gardens, forests, rivers, and lakes. Every morning, noon, afternoon, evening, midnight and dawn, light breezes from all directions blow everyone. The wind caused the fragrant flowers on the trees to fall like rain and covered the ground with soft silk flowers. When the gentle breezes touch you, you feel bliss as if you are meditating. Soon the old flowers on the ground disappear and become new ones. In the pure land, all forms, sounds and feelings are Dharma images, sounds, and experiences. This does not mean that appearances become Buddha images or sounds become words in the Sutras of the Buddha, but rather, everything is the source of beauty and the presence of peace, joy and awareness. Enlightenment. Right in the heart of this rich pure land is the Tree of Enlightenment. This tree grows to 600,000 by the week. The tree is adorned with beautiful leaves, flowers, fruits, gems and golden wreaths. When the wind touches, they emit mesmerizing sounds that can be heard in many world systems. Those who hear, see or smell the Tree of Enlightenment - either those who taste the fruit, touch its light or think about it in their hearts - will not be wavered by perceptions and afflictive emotions . The size and shape of the Tree of Enlightenment is depicted here in such a way that ordinary people can see it, but in reality these trees cannot be imagined. Under the tree is a giant lotus. This is where Buddha Amitabha sat and from here he preached and freed all sentient beings. ☀️ The Buddha Of Immeasurable Light And His Disciples. Just as the King Mountain rose above all the other peaks, Buddha Amitabha too, with his majestic presence, he transcends all. His body is pure and undefiled, adorned by 32 good forms and 80 beauty of a sublime being. His body is as pure and immense as the sky. It shines brightly with an unthinkable light, illuminating the infinite purities of the ten directions. His light is virtue, realization, and wisdom. This radiant light, beautiful, pristine, and crystal clear stimulates the body and mind of anyone who touches it with ultimate happiness, wisdom, and bliss. Therefore, he is called the Buddha of Immeasurable Light. Since his lifespan is immeasurable, he is also known as the Buddha of Amitayus. His words constantly bring forth the melodies of the Dhamma. His enlightened mind is an ocean of immense peace and deep wisdom. He understands all matters of His infinite omniscient intellectual memory. His heart is filled with love and compassion for all suffering, like the mind of a mother towards her only child. With great faith, He rejoices people's hearts and satisfies all their needs with the constant flow of teachings like the food of the god that never runs out. With strong devotion, He shares with everyone his sublime attainment like nectar. Like a herder, he walked slowly but surely leading the way for an immense congregation of disciples like the sea. In his pure land, the Buddha Amitayus controlled countless disciples. They include those who seek enlightenment for themselves (Sanskrit: Shravaka And Pratyeka - Buddha: Shravaka and Dependent Origination) and those who seek enlightenment for others (Skt: Bodhisattva, meaning Bodhisattva). Among the Bodhisattvas, first of all to include the following eight: Avalokiteshvara (Avalokiteshvara), Great World Religion (Mahasthamaprapta), Van Thu (Manjushr), Jizō (Kshitigarbha), Except for the Path (Sarvanivaranaviskambini), Voidness (Akashagarbha), Maitreya (Maitreya), and Samantabhadra (Samantabhadra). All of them have five kinds of extraordinary abilities as follows: (1) They can momentarily walk through many world systems to teach others. Every morning these disciples go to countless other pureland realms, worship the Buddhas in those places and listen to the teachings before they return to the Pure Land of Bliss. (2) They have the ability to recall events that occurred from previous eras for the purpose of learning and teaching. (3) Their divine eye allows looking into many world systems so that it is possible to recognize the beings that the Bodhisattva can help. (4) Their wonderful ears can hear the teachings of many Buddhas as well as the prayers of many sentient beings. (5) Understand the mental state of sentient beings in the many realms in order to be able to serve these beings properly. Through these miraculous powers, the Bodhisattvas bring joy and benefit to countless sentient beings in many world systems. Not all sentient beings in the Pure Land of Bliss have powers like this. That is because they are skeptical about being reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss or lack complete faith in the power of the Buddha of Immeasurable Light and his prayers. Other beings reborn in this pure land may lie in the womb of a lotus for 500 years and during that time not even see the Buddha. They will enjoy the peace and happiness in the pure flower, but since they have doubts, the flower remains closed and they cannot see the pure land and Buddha. Not all disciples in this pure land are Bodhisattvas of the tenth stage (tenth stage of Bodhisattva) or the highest stage of those seeking enlightenment for others, but for all disciples, this will be their last life before attaining Buddhahood because everyone here will be enlightened through the Buddha's will - unless they don't. No disciple lives a life of someone married with husband and wife and children, because all are not tied to sexual objects. No one deviates from the mental, emotional and material precepts, for such a life is indispensable in the pure land. Beings in the Pure Land of Bliss are more subtle than those in the mundane world mentally, emotionally and physically. Even for them, there is no longer a distinction between men and women. However, according to some Sutras and teachings on the Pure Land of Bliss, although there are no ordinary men and women among sentient beings who have been reborn in the pure land, there are still male deities and women transformed by Buddha Amitabha to serve sentient beings. There is no such thing as a womb birth because everyone is born miraculously in large, brilliant, fragrant, and precious flowers. No one excreted urine, mucus mucus because living beings here do not have a crude body and do not eat mundane food. The Buddha taught: In the pure realm of the Buddha Amitayus, Since everyone enjoys the food of meditation, even the name of the [normal] food is not available. Everyone has a pure skin like dragon gold. The body of every disciple in the pure land is strong and powerful, displaying the 32 appearances of outstanding beings. Their bodily intellectual light illuminates the entire space. The Buddha taught: In the pure realm of the Buddha Amitayus Light The wisdom light of the noble beings always shines forth. There is no darkness, And there is no difference between day and night. Their minds are at peace and they are full of faith and wisdom. They are happy for what they enjoy, and they enjoy them spontaneously, without attachment, without craving and without defilement. Even those who have not yet transcended suffering and the causes of suffering are constantly rejoiced by the power of the pure land. No one suffers from sickness and old age. Longevity is endless thanks to the power of merit. As soon as they are reborn in the pure land, all suffering experiences will cease because there is no feeling of suffering in the pure land. ☀️ Rebirth in the Pure Land of Great Bliss These depictions of the Pure Land of Great Bliss are just a glimpse of the unimaginable rich qualities of the pure land. In fact, even the divine eye cannot see all of these inherently inexhaustible qualities, and even the Buddhas cannot explain at all because of the helplessness of words. According to the Buddhist scriptures, the Buddha of Immeasurable Light is so powerful that if you remember him, you will not only be reborn in his pure land, but also see himself in life. live as well as in dreams and in visions. At the time of your death, the Buddha of Immeasurable Light will appear before you among countless disciples. Especially if you remember the Buddha and his pure land of Bliss while you were in the intermediate state, that memory will cause you to be reborn in his pure land. That is because in the intermediate world it is easier to change circumstances. To be reborn in the pure land, you do not need to attain high realization in meditation. Thanks to the Buddha's will, what you need to do is to practice the "four causes" in order to open your mind to make it easy to accept such a possibility. The only condition is that you cannot commit any sin during the five sins or deny the Dharma. Buddha Shakyamuni taught about the following four causes: "Hey A Nan Da. There are people who (1) continuously think of the Buddha of Immeasurable Light and his Pure Land of Bliss. (2) They create immeasurable merit. (3) They develop enlightened mind (bodhicitta). (4) They dedicate their merit and establish a wish to be reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss. When they die… They will be reborn into the universe of the Pure Land of Bliss. By cultivating devotion and thinking of the Buddha of Immeasurable Light, we will be reborn into his marvelous pure land of Bliss, a universe of great peace, eternal, bliss, and into a source of serenity and contentment for others. This miraculous opportunity is the promise of the Buddha of Amitayus to each of us. The truthfulness of this promise was made clear by the historical Buddha himself. It is a tested path that sages and Buddhists of ancient times have taken. Some Buddhists who consider themselves "non-theistic" may argue that the Pure Land of Bliss is only for devotees who take a more theological approach. However, let us take Nagarjuna (Nargajuna) as an example. He is the most important proponent of Mahayana Buddhism emptiness, a non-theistic school that rejects existential, non-existent extremes. But the historical Buddha himself prophesied that "a monk named Naga [rjiuna] ... will be reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss when he leaves his body". Therefore, if the most important teacher of the largest non-theistic school of Buddhism will take rebirth in the pure land, any follower of Buddhism, theistic or not, can wish to be born. into that realm.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.23/2/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
