The Buddha was not afraid to confront the bandit Angulimala, and he helped the bandit see his errant ways of life. Later, despite the intense opposition from the people, the Buddha allowed Angulimala to join the Sangha, and for some time he became an Arahant. However, because of his past misdeeds, he was pursued by an angry mob who stoned him on the street. When he came back to see the Buddha (his teacher), "he held the bowl, outside the tattered yarn, with the blood running down from the cut on his head," the Buddha simply told him "Arise! Arhat, do not you suffer here and now, you are experiencing the results of the bad deeds you have done before ..." In this context, the following verses have been written. The author (Angulimala) clearly writes about himself, he is a careless and unwholesome person, transformed into a more knowledgeable, wiser man, doing more good. I really feel that this story is perfectly appropriate at the present time, whether it is an individual who has done horrible acts before but they still have the capacity to transform well , or whether it is a country that is considering its own influence on the world. Goodness can appear at any time (and then spreads in our world), like the bright moon, which is often obscured by the clouds.
