A- BODY FAMILY BACHELOR-CA-NI.

In the scriptures, especially in the two Jatakas and Itivuttaka, there are many stories about Buddha's precursor. We only mention two lives [1]  before the Buddha was born and succeeded.

1-Bodhisattva Sumedha (Thien-Hue) [2]

In a life too-distant past, of life page-strictly [3]  (Vyuha-kalpa), with Thai-mail name is Samantaprabhasa (Prussian-ray) son Arcimat (Sign-Lighting), please allow your father to Mount The Himalayas find teacher teachers, the name is Sumedha (Thien-Hue). He studied with many great masters, noble, but not satisfied. One day, Sumedha battled 500 foreigners who were victorious, earning 500 gold coins. Sumedha rejoiced in the teacher, brought money to find Dipankara Buddha.[4] (Dien-Dang) is living in the capital city of Divapati. In the middle of the street met a girl (princess Yasodhara's predecessor) was walking, holding the seven blue lotus flowers just beautiful, he asked.But the girl replied: "I bring flowers to Buddha, not sold that he asked to buy." Sumedha offered 500 gold coins, pleading for the purchase of the lotus flower to worship the Buddha, but the girl still stood silent, not respond. So, he said:

-  She offered two cotton okay too. I came here from far, looking forward to this precious lotus to offer Dipankara Buddha and to learn his noble teachings. Please sympathize with me for years to go;What do you want me to do?

-  Brother, girl blushed pink cheeks, stood looking down, shyly said. I do not know how to see him, then I love his brother. I want to give him not this lotus flower to offer him enlightenment. But you must promise me that you will marry me as your wife in this lifetime and forever after.

"  Grandma," replied Sumedha. She is very nice and very honest. I met her immediately met with her immediately. But I have freed the path of liberation. If married, then bound, how can I get married?

-  You promised me to go. Then later, when he wanted to go home, he pledged not to stop but also to help him complete his wish.

Listening to the girl, Sumedha reluctantly accepted.

Then they went to where Dipankara Buddha was staying. Massive crowd is surrounding the Buddha. There are both the king and the clergymen to make offerings to the Buddha. Sumedha and her eldest daughter approached, but there were about twenty more steps they could not move forward.Sumedha was happy to see Dipankara Buddha with his own eyes. Suddenly he felt the spirit of the g pleasure incredible. He vowed to try to study until he was completely enlightened as he was. He threw his five lotus flowers into the air to make offerings to the Buddha at that time. The year of the lotus is bouncing in mid air, it turns into a magnificent, majestic lotus floating in the middle of space. The girlfriend gave him her lotus flowers, thanks to offerings. He again tossed into the air do not meditate Buddha. These two lotus present two large lotus stations standing on both sides of the Buddha. To the amazement of the masses, the Buddha Dipankara rejoiced in explaining that such miracles were due to the purity and sincerity of the donor. Then the Buddha called Sumedha and said:

-  He is a good person, try diligently practice will achieve great results. She also has good luck with him, but she should respect the promise, should encourage, not discourage her from leaving the family.

Since then, Sumedha followed Dipankara Buddha's teachings, followed by Bodhisattva and Monks. Sumedha tries to improve the Bodhisattva Truth. One day Buddha Dipankara went from Sudarmana's mansion to Ramma city, in the middle of the road to the mud, Sumedha Bodhisatta took off his shirt and spread it to the wet spot, but did not know how. Throwing off the hair, adding to the Buddha's passing away from his feet. Recognizing that Bodhisattva Sumedha will practice the full 10 saintly virtues, [5]  the Buddha's life-signature [6]  will enable him to become Sakyamuni in the life of Bhadra- kalpa).

 

2-Bodhisattva Vessantara (Household-Ming) [7]

At the time Kassapa Buddha (Ca-lettuce) [8]  was born, in order to the Sage-ninth, Bodhisattva Sumedha (Thien-Hue) reborn as Crown Prince Vessantara (Visvantara, Household Ming), practice practice Bell since childhood; When he grew up to be king, he became a Kassapa Buddha and became a Bodhisattva Vessantara (also known as Svetaketu). By virtue of good deeds, when the Bodhisattva Vessantara was born, he was born to the Tusita heaven as the Bodhisattva, the leader of this heavenly realm, and gave speeches to the gods. He spent four thousand years, using realities [9]  to educate sentient beings. One day he looked down upon the world to find that many sentient beings were only evil creatures, immersed in evil-doers, do not know the cause and effect of sin, lived in physical and mental suffering, dying in death three evil lines [10]. He develops compassionate minds, converts the world to the teachings of sentient beings, brings to light the truth to save sentient beings from the old, dead disease, the result of Nirvana, calm peace. At that moment his whole body-optical magnification-intelligent, great local minister eighteen, nor hiding, every planet moon sun rays, sun dragon concussion all eight sets [11] . He observed the following five things:

1-      Observing the time, he saw human life at about 100 years, very convenient; Because life is too long, people are unaware of how old they are, with too short a life span they do not have enough time to practice.

2-      Looking at the continent, he chose Jambudipa (Indian Peninsula) because at that time language and philosophical thought were more developed here.

3-      Observing the nationality, he chose Majjhimadesa (Central India, the river valley);Because there are many sages and wise men appear.

4-      Observing race, he chose the Sakya lineage with King Suddhodana who is the most spiritual. According to the Lalitavistara, the family has 64 virtues.

5.      Observe who has enough virtues of motherhood future Buddha, he chose Maha-Maya queen; knew that she only lived another 10 days 7 days. According to the Lalitavistara, Maha-Maya has 32 virtues.

When the predestined charm arrived, Bodhisattva Venerable Master congratulated the gods leaders to Maitreya (Metteyya) as a Bodhisattva, then from Tusita. Sakuravastu, Sakya [12] , near the foot of the Himalayan mountains, in the north-eastern border of India and Nepal today, the son of King Suddhodana, and Queen Maha-Maya. The royal family belongs to the line SAKYA (Ca-Ca).

 

B- BUDDHA BUDDHA

A born Buddha is a very rare causal charm, an endless joy for all living things. The Buddha is an unruly chief, with great wisdom and compassion, because of the sympathy of the infinite suffering of the deluded beings, he used the means of the present birth to indicate Teach and guide sentient beings from the cycle of birth and death, attaining purity of pure samsara.

Historically, we would like to present to the myth of the five families of the Buddha: Gotama, Sujata, Okkaka, Suryavamsa and Sakya. (Ca-Ca), then it comes to Buddha's birth.

1-History of the Gotama and the Sakya clan [13]

In ancient times, in the capital Saketa, now Ayodhya [14] , in central India, with the Aryan race.According to the Abhinikramana-sutra, the Twelve-Sutra, the Ambattha (Digha-nikaya 3) and the Mahavastu (commented by Buddhaghosa in the fifth century AD), the place was formerly tasteless. The king named  Maha-Sammata  (Great Mao-Thao) ceded the throne to him, leaving home according to the great Gotama (Gotama) [15]  in the forest. Letting people not recognize themselves as kings, he took his teacher Gotama as his own. From there, he was called his master Maha-Gotama and called him  Culla-Gotama  .

After 10 months, by absorbing sunlight, the left side turns into a boy, the right side turns into a little girl, they take the  Gotama  (Gotama). The mandarin in the court heard the news, the procession of feeding. Boy named  Sujata  (Thien Sanh) [16] , also known as  Okkaka  (Orange Price) [17] or Suryavamsa  (Japanese strain) [18] . The girl was named Subhadda.

Later, the great emperors Okkaka (Shan Sanh) as emperor Ikshvaku  (Italy- Marquis  ), and Subhadda (Thien Hien) as queen, birth four sons Okkamukha, Karakanda, Hatthinika, Sinipura, and Five daughters are Piya, Suppiya, Ananda, Vijita and Vijitasena. Then Queen Subhadda died, King Ikshvaku married a beautiful young princess as a queen after birth a son named Jantu.

For wanting to establish Jantu as king, the second queen urged King Ikshvaku to banish the four sons of Queen Subhadda out of the water. The four princes along with five sisters heading north-east, near the foothills of the Himalayas, met sage good astrologer Kapila advised to stay here. This place has become prosperous. King Ikshvaku received this message, praising " Sakya vata bho raja-kumara ", meaning "These princes are indeed capable." Since then the clans of their princes and kingdoms have been renamed  Sakya (Ca-Ca), meaning "capable person" or hero. To thank the Kapila sage, the Sakya princes named the Sakya capital Kapilavastu. Shortly after, the eldest sister is Piya leprosy, into the forest. Meanwhile, the king of Kasi in Benares, Rama also suffered from leprosy, passed the throne to his eldest son and went deep into the jungle. The two met, King Rama just for her drug Piya be healed, two people eat together, founded Origin Koliya reigned [19] .

In Kapilavastu, the four princes of King Ikshvaku (Okkaka) were unable to marry the natives because none of them belonged to the aristocracy (Ksatriya), so they lived with the other four sisters as husband and wife. [20] . Of these four princes, three were dead, the other was  Okkamukha (Ni- Qa -La [21] ). After passing the throne to his son is a  sentence-Block [22]  (?). The sentence for the throne is  Jayasena  (Cu-Cau-Lo [23] ). Jayasena passed the throne to her son,  Sihahanu  (Su-Tu-Giap). The Sihahan (son-born) had four sons:  Suddhodana  ,  Dhotodana  ,  Sukkodana, (Pan-Sanskrit) and  Amitodana  (Cam-Lo-Sanskrit); and a daughter,  Amita,  gives King Suppabuddha of Koliya. King Sihahanu passed the throne to his son, Suddhodana. King Suddhodana and Queen Maha-Maya were born Prince  Siddhattha and  later became  Sakyamuni  .

Thus, the Buddha had all five of them: Gotama, Okkaka, Sujata, Suryavamsa and Sakya. But people of the time used Gotama to refer to the Buddha's name, Sakya for the lineage, tribe or place of origin, and Sakyamuni for his Buddhist name.

The Sakyamuni Buddha means "mercy". Sakya is the "hero", the more capable hero. Muni is "president", calm, quiet, also means the word. Sakyamuni also means "perfect hero".

2- At the birth (year-624)

King Suddhodana GOTAMA and Queen Maha-Maya are rich in kindness and respect for the sage. It was almost forty years old and had no children. The king and queen often set up worshiping, and set up an alms-giving festival for the poor to seek the birth of a royal son.

624 [24]  BC , in the forest-beautiful park Lumbini [25]  (Lumbini, now territory of Nepal), Status-Siddhattha Gotama, of the line-monitored tribal Sakya, child King Suddhodana GOTAMA, 42, and Queen Maha-Maya, 44, were born on the full moon day of Vesak [26]  (also known as Visakha or Vaisakha, corresponding to April or May dl).

Ten months earlier, while he was allowed to keep the eight precepts, on the full moon of the month of Asatha (June or July dl), at Kapilavastu ( Kapilavastu  ) After Maya dreamed of seeing a white elephant with six tusks [28] , a large white lotus in her belly, flying from the sky down to her right hip, then she felt the body of pleasure, bright as the full moon. The next morning, she narrated that dream to the king. The king invited 64 Brahmin prophets to entertain; They guessed that the queen was pregnant and that the soon-to-be Prince would be a great emperor or celebrity. From the moment of conception the body and mind of the queen is always peaceful, calm, wise wisdom.

According to custom, near the day of birth, Empress Maha-Maya from Kapilavastu City goes to the birth parents Suppabuddha and Queen Amita in Devadaha, also known as Ramagama of Koliya. Nepal territory). In the midst of a temporary detachment in Lumbini, about 30 km south-east of Kapilavastu, is a beautiful flowering season. He came to a bathing lake, changed clothes, and went to admire the scenery around the lake. See  beautiful asoka flowers ( 29) (very beautiful asoka), with her right hand to pick the labor abdomen. She stood up the tree branches. The ladies rushed to stand the four sides. Suddenly the earth vibrates, glory shining everywhere, then Prince appeared [30], his pure body is not dirty, painted a good face without crying. The gods know that the Savior came forth to present flowers, music, singing congratulations. Queens and concubines welcomes Status-mail [31] .When he was born-from Siddhattha was also bathed for the first time [32] at the lake above. This lake Puskarini is now rebuilt in a square 20m each side, known as sacred, capable of curing people down the bath. Next to the lake there is a huge Bodhi Tree, branches of leaves sum-sê, have been since the Buddha's time in the world. Next to the lake there is the temple of the goddess Maha-Maya, which depicts the exact location where the Buddha was born, and there are two sculptures depicting the Buddha image, a stone and one picture. by marble. By the year 244 BC, King Asoka had come here under the guidance of the master Moggaliputta-Tissa (Mendi-Liên-Tu-Tu-Tu). Asoka had built a stone pillar near the lake. On the stone pillars are carved five rows of 93 words in Brahmi as follows:

 At the same time the Buddha was born, the following seven persons were also born: 1-Great Bodhi Tree, 2-Yasodhara, 3-Kaludayin (Ca- Save-Da-Di), 4-Channa (Xa-anonymously), 5-Kanthaka (horse Kien-monitoring), 6-elephant treasures, and 7-Four African-treasure average [34] .

3- After the birth

-  Great Prince, Prince has 32 good general [38]  and 80 beauty [39] , the latter will be the Holy King of the United Kingdom ruling four worlds; However, he is likely to leave the monastery as the Supreme Self-Chief, the great teacher of the heavens and the human realm, teaching the color to give relief to suffering beings. Sorry I was too old, no longer alive to hear your teachings, so I cried myself.

The empowerment was held on the fifth day after the birth of the princess. King Suddhodana summoned six brahmins to choose their future names and predictions. The chosen name is Siddhattha (Siddhartha, Sarvarthasiddha), meaning the person who attained vows. After discussing the future of the Crown Prince, the five raised two fingers, declaring,

-  To the Great King, Crown Prince becomes Cakravartin, the greatest emperor of the world if he wants to reign for the heavens. If he is a monastic practitioner, he will become the Samma-sambuddha, who will save mankind from the darkness of suffering.

But the youngest Kondanna (Kety-Tran-Nhu) [40]  just put up one finger and said:

-  O Lord, later, after seeing an elderly person, a sick person, a corpse and a monk, finely-mail will appear in search for true-reason and will become a Buddha, Wuxi-Shanghai Right-Chief Justice.

After birth status-mail seven days, royal-Maya from the ceiling [41] , born in Heavens knife-profit [42]  (Tavatimsa Heaven). Thai-mail is delivered to the second-aunt is also behind in her reign as Pajapati Gotami [43]  (Three-soap-Ba-De Kieu-Dam-Di), care. Due to the prophecies of the prophets, King Suddhodana sought all sorts of ways for Prince Siddhattha to enjoy all the pleasures of the palace, never seeing the scenes of suffering, sickness, old age in his life. When Prince Siddhartha was six years old, King Suddhodana invited the famous teachers to attend the teaching school, hoping to train him into a future king with sufficient capacity and virtue to succeed him. 

C- TIME TO DO THAI-TỬ

From birth (624) to ordination at age 29 (-595). 

1- Childhood  

Prince Siddhattha attended the feast  [44]

"  Like fire on the top of the mountain,

"Like the moon in space,

Fill all the stars.

Sitting meditating under a tree,

"Illuminating the light.

Just like at birth,

"The body has meditated,

"The gods are all over

"Ten directions of beings

"By the way." [48]

 

Prince Siddhattha studied literature 

Ever since childhood, the Crown Prince has shown great intelligence. In all subjects, from literature to martial arts ... he just learned a short time is the end of his school.

At the age of 8, the king invited the famous Visavamitra teacher to the court of the Sanskrit and the Vesak- momentum (Veda). I just met the first meal-eater asked:

-  Teacher, I am very happy today, he came here to teach, I want to learn the books of Sanskrit and Vedas. Those are 64 types (Brahmana, Nighandu, Sokkharappabhedana, Itihasa, Veyyakarana, Rigveda, Atharvaveda, ...) [49] . [50]

Professor Visavamitra is a smart, intelligent, broad-minded, but when listening to the new 8-year-old asked such a grave-foul head, because he did not know all 64 kinds that Prince said . He hurried to kneel down to read the poem praising etiquette:

"  Good or no!

"A wise man is like you.

"Wisdom in the morning,

Understand the dharmas of the world.

"Luckily we met him

"By moving the heels to school!

The books you just said,

"  We have not seen.

"  Of course you understand!

"To be a teacher of heaven,

"We do not dare to do science!

"Ask him to tell you." [51] 

Prince Siddhattha learned martial arts 

On the martial arts, when the prince was about 12-13 years old, the court introduced the Kshantideva Martial Arts Master (TM) who understood 29 martial arts to teach morality. The monk was ordered to go to the city, to go to the king's house; The king was very happy to teach morale. First, the martial arts teacher demonstrates the right subjects for the Crown Prince. "These subjects I've already understood, do not have to learn," said Thai. So these martial arts courses are only taught to the other crown prince. After that, the martial arts instructor presented the secret subjects to the eighth man about wrestling, horse riding, elephant riding, tugboat, using bow, sword, spear, hook. But she also said: "These things I have understood already." Come here, the martial arts master knows he has no more talents to teach,

"  Thai-born childhood,

"Learning is very relaxing,

No loss of power,

"The blink of an eye understood.

"Hundreds of thousands of others,

"Learning how many years,

"Very little success.

Martial arts with literature,

"  Tai-chi goes beyond him ." [52]

Prince Siddhattha saves swans [53] 

In addition, the princess also showed special kindness. One day, at around 12-year-old, playing in the yard, a bird was struck by a bird flying down the bamboo beam next to it. Thai gentle-natured care of the wounds of the celestial beings, a short time later, his brother, Devadatta, less than the one-year-old prince, in his hand. The name of the bow, to say that he shot himself to ask for swan birds again.Thai-Americans do not pay. Eventually this was put to trial. In the middle of the court, Devadatta said:

-  When the swan is flying in the sky, it does not belong to anyone. But I shot the swan on the ground and it became mine.

Thai-Thai argues that:

-  Life is a precious thing in life Nhut, then is freedom. The flying bird in the sky is a symbol of life and freedom. It can not become the possession of the person who shot it. So the bird of paradise must be given to the protector of life and freedom for it rather than to the person who kills it. Culling is not something to do. Therefore, the person who kills karma has no right to control the life and freedom of others.

After a long discussion, the court officials said Siddhattha Siddhattha reasonable.

2-year-old

Thai Siddhattha married [54]  

When Prince Siddhattha was 16 years old, King Suddhodana conferred with the chancellor to find a future wife for Prince Siddhartha, hoping that with his family ties the Prince would abandon his intention to become a monk and become a great emperor. Glory to the Sakya clan. The deities introduced many beautiful and virtuous girls, but King Suddhodana said:

-  Prince very difficult! We must ask in advance how the prince likes to have a wife.

Well, the king's orders, the princes came to meet the Prince to consult him about the choice of future wife. Siddhattha replied:

-  Seven more days I will answer you.

Then he thought to himself:

-  I have known that a lot of suffering is due to desire, craving out. Love is the source of suffering, friction, violence, sorrow, the poison, the fire, the sword of the harm. I do not feel very happy to be with a woman. Why not choose a quiet lifestyle in the forest? There our mind will be comforted, relaxed in the joy of meditation.

But under the pressure of the family and of the people around him, the Prince finally leaned on the family tradition and put aside the ideal of renunciation. The Prince recalled the former Bodhisattvas are also married. The pure lotus flower can not be muddy. At the appointed time, the Prince told his ministers:

-  If you have a family, I prefer to have more virtuous wife is the only beauty. He must be magical, charitable, honest, hypocritical and jealous, do not like se sua, alcohol, gambling and partying. He must also be a gentle bride, a good owner with a servant, not too late to sleep late. He must be beautiful but not tall.

After listening to the great masters narrative, King Suddhodana ordered the brahmin priest in the court:

"  Grandfather, go around the Kapilavastu capital, into every house looking for girls whose characteristics you describe, whether noble or Brahmin, or Merchants, or farmers are also. Because the prince is only focused on virtue, not class. He told us all the girls.

Soon, the Brahmin reported to the king about the girls he had chosen for Prince Siddhartha.Among them he paid special attention to the princess Gopa-Yasodhara, the same age as Prince Siddhattha, the son of Suppabuddha, who had the most complete features that Prince Siddhattha has raised it. The king immediately held a grand ceremony to give gifts to the girls mentioned above.During the ceremony, beautiful young girls came to receive a precious jewelry by hand Prince Siddhattha handed. But the Prince remained calm, not paying any attention to her. Yasodhara finally arrived, his bright, cheerful, magical eyes looking directly at the Prince's face. Prince Siddhattha was a little confused as there was no jewelry left for her. Yasodhara smiled and said:

"  Prince Siddhartha, I seem to have a fault so you do not want to give me gifts?

-  No, it's just you're finally here. So get this gift.

After saying this, the prince removed the ring in his hand, giving it to Yasodhara. But Yasodhara laughed and said:

-  I do not dare get Chie c  rings are used Prince own where?

- You  go away, this is my gift to you!

-  I dare not! I did not come here to get Prince's jewelery but to make Prince's jewelry.

Having said this, Yasodhara withdrew. Siddhattha is the follower.

The ministers said Prince Siddhattha paid special attention to Yasodhara. King Suddhodana immediately sent envoys to the capital, Devadaha of Koliya, to propose to the Prince Yasodhara Prince Siddhattha. But Suppabuddha dashed, claiming that no one had ever seen Siddhattha martial arts. King Suddhodana was very upset about losing face. To comfort his father, Prince Siddhattha revealed to his father that although he never performed martial arts, he could compete with anyone. Suddhodana king, King Suddhodana, proposed to King Suppabuddha to hold a martial arts competition where the winner would marry Yasodhara.

"Come fast to the satisfaction.

"Early benefit interests in the sky.

"Five scenes of lust [61]  should be boring,

"Only the dealer,

"Meditation, concentration, wisdom, attain Chon [63] ,

"I hope to save suffering.

"Breathless - more trouble-brain!

Along the way,

"Intelligence disclosure-knowledge is shining,

"Make heaven, people, eyes sick.

That same night, Suddhavasa used the power of Suddhodana to dream of seeing seven scenes as follows:

1-      Find the name of King Thich Nhat from the East Gate.

2 -      Seeing the Crown Prince riding the white goat go out into the southern gate.

3-      Seeing Thai-sits on the four-wheeled car from the western gate.

4-      See a large car carrying a lot of guns - strictly go to the north gate.

5-      Seeing the Thai man standing in a big street in the middle of the city, holding a stingray in a large drum.

6-      Seeing the Crown sitting on the floor to throw high treasure and many people took away.

7-      Outside the city, there were six people crying loudly, and the things that rolled to the ground looked terrible.

The king awakened, anxious minds, false million people guessing on how to try evil how.Mongol to the king, heard the king finished, thought for a long time,

- Your Majesty! Difficult, I do not understand the god, please the pontoon pardon!

The king is sad to have the guard at the door said:

- Your Majesty! Outside the city gate there are people asking for a guess at the royal palace.

First Suddhavasa pretended to be a dreamer, came to where he heard the king said finished and said:

Thai-amusement finished in the heart of joy, thought himself: "  In the whole world, perhaps only this way of production is above all . " He threw his car back to the city. That afternoon, Prince sat down and thought: " It is our body that has to bear, Because of being born, old, sick, dead, brain-bent and impoverished, we are aware of the harm of those things. reach, leg-cool-for justice, well-being the ultimate nirvana scene  " [74] . Then he thought:The life in the prison is narrow-minded, a refuge of dust, negativity, brain-bound and bound. Only new-home can get a safety-net life, thong-dong, self-in " [75] . 

Prince Siddhattha asked his ordination

Princess Yasodhara lies face down on her sobs.

After hearing this, Prince Siddhattha felt enthusiastic. At the time, there were troops to bring the king's orders to the princess Yasodhara, who was born. The prince joyfully mounted his horse on the city. As Prince Siddhartha was passing by, Kisa Gotami stood up on the stairs and saw him singing:

-  Happily being a father,

Happy to be a mother,

Happily being a wife

Of a guy like that.
