GIVES AND PURCHASES AS FRANCE - VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

Once, The Ton resided in Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, the garden of Mr. Anàthapindika. At that time, Nanda's mother, the Velukandaki hostess, made a six-part offering to the Sangha. At that time, the Blessed One with supernatural pure divine eye saw Nanda's mother making a six-part animal immediately told the monks:

Monks, there are three parts belonging to the giver and three parts belonging to the recipient of the alms offering. How are the three parts of the giver? The monks, the alms, before the alms, the mind is pleased; While giving alms, the mind is pure credit; after giving alms, feeling joyful. These are the three parts of the giver. What are the three parts of the person receiving the donation? Here the monks, who receive almsgiving items, have been renunciated or are practicing virtue of greed; have been renounced or are practicing virtue of aversion; have been renunciated or are practicing virtue. These are the three parts of the person receiving the alms offering. Thus, the monks, this is the animal has six parts.

The monks, the merit of the six-part animal is immeasurable: "A source of good fortune, a source of benevolence, peaceful food, of the Heavenly Yard, is the result of a strange bliss, leading to heaven, leading to bliss. Happy, happy and peaceful ”.

Giving and making offerings is a popular practice among Buddhists. However, it is not easy for the giver and the giver to obtain the right generosity and offering as the dharma.

The giver who practices almsgiving and making offerings must firstly come from joy, being completely self-conscious and voluntary. To generate generosity and offerings must stand on the foundation of pure faith. Because, if there is a lack of faith, then that noble deed will deviate, only cultivate a selfish heart and see that I am the one who is blessed. Because "of the free by giving", so not much money to practice being purified. On the other hand, the practice of giving and making offerings must be accomplished in joy and joy when bringing joy to others. These are the three basic factors the giver needs to practice in order to gain the giving and offering of the dharma.

For them Sang, those who receive, must make more efforts to perfect themselves because ever "gifts are of worries, of giving is of debt". If not cultivating, repairing body and mind, eliminating defilements, then "credit is difficult to spend". The more life received, the greater the debt of donors, if not creating merit to dedicate to the benefactor. Therefore, in parallel with the generosity of the donor, the one who receives the alms-giving and donation must attain pure feeling, that is, receiving with pure mind, the receiver's mind has been and is ceasing greed. , anger and delusion.

Therefore, in order for the giving and offering of the dharma to gain great benefits, and immeasurable merit, the benefactor and the giver must attain the "six-part animal" as taught by the Buddha. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN =THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.31/8/2020.
