Choose a monk.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

Be aware that cultivators must transform bad into good, and cannot cultivate from good to bad. A person from bad to good, but comes from a low class like the Elder of the Special Table of the Buddha's time and near to us today is the Elder Tinh Khong. He confided to me that he had a weak body, sick, not intelligent, slow learning, but thanks to enough conditions to meet a good teacher, he was ordained as a monk. And it is important that he ordained the Buddha's teachings and practiced intensively, so his spiritual life began to transform well, from sick people to healthy people. The abbot and abbot should remember this idea.

Today, I am very happy to attend and share my spiritual experience for the Abbot Fostering Course of the Mendic School.

The first joy is that this place has changed from the garbage dump to a solemn nunnery and this also has an important meaning to demonstrate spiritual merit. Indeed, the Buddha likened this world to the Fire House, but we have turned it into a lotus flower, which is the most important factor of a transformative practitioner. In other words, on the process of spiritual practice, the human word is seen as a walking bin that we transform into Sage, Buddha. Specifically, it is important for us to cultivate to transform these impure four great aggregates into the five parts of the Dharmakaya, which purifies our body and mind.

Typically, the Buddha started from a leader living on silk velvet with worldly pleasures, but he gave up a rich life and transformed himself into a pure monastic life. the high and beautiful image of the practitioner. He has completely purified the three karmas, body, speech, and mind. Therefore, the Buddha is famous for being Sa-keeper.

While the Sa-subjects, Brahmins at that time were often more arguing than losing right or left, but the Cham subjects had a quiet life, introverted, that was, changing the inner mind to become pure. Therefore, from this experience, the Buddha teaches us that if a part of ignorance and defilements are broken, part of the dharmakaya appears.

And it is true that, according to the Buddha's teachings, according to the Buddha's teachings, their appearance, their language and their mind are liberated, which is the transformation process that brings about good results.

Still wearing the robe, but the body and mind are not liberated is contrary to the path that Buddha went and the Patriarch chose. Realizing this essence, the abbots and the abbots need to think and consider this idea. Buddha and the Patriarch did the same, of course we also have to go that way to become a Buddha and be the Patriarch in the future.

Why are we sick, we must find out the cause of the metabolism. Our TB karma is born. I have experience with this theory. Tran tuberculosis, karma produces defilements, but afflictions are the root cause of our body decay, fatigue, sickness.

To tell you the truth, I am 80 years old this year, one year older than the Venerable Giac Giac, but I am healthy, and the teaching is thanks to the transformation of body and mind. When I was young, I was not well, constantly sick, but discovered my karma and transformed my karma, once healthy, until the age of 60, I was really healthy mentally, that is, all defilements. . Before that, at the age of 20, he was a young man who should have been healthy, but not well, because of sadness, too much anger, he became sick.

Why sad. Because looking at society, looking at life, looking at my colleagues is extremely frustrating, honestly I am not satisfied with anyone, so I can't eat or sleep, causing me to have heart failure. Actually this is my experience like that.

At first, seeing fellow practitioners, then friends in the denomination, I wasn't satisfied either. Until looking outside, seeing people of other denominations and beyond that are heresy, paganism, or in other words, seeing around me is full of bad people, so I don't want to be close or like to contact anyone. Just want to go to the mountain practice, that was my mood 50 years ago.

So in my heart is all disturbing. We must know that due to karma, we have afflictions, because it is karma that leads us to be born into this world, although we are not satisfied at all, but we still have to bear this karma.

In my own experience, what I want does not come, what I am afraid of, if I avoid it, it clings to me. Karma is taught by the Buddha that like the tail of a buffalo attached to the body of a buffalo, wherever you go, the karma will follow you there.

Deeply aware of this theory, I came up with the somewhat daring notion that if I don't want anything more, anything unintentional happens to me. It can be affirmed that cultivators let go of desires, lust, partially liberated desires, completely liberated.

I know it can't be wanted, so I don't want to; I know how to avoid it, so I have to face with life, what kind of life I have to see and behave according to that.

I want to have good fellow practitioners, want to have honest disciples to leave home, want to have Buddhists wholeheartedly ..., but these people do not come to us, but on the contrary, bad people come to me, practitioners also not good.

Personally, in the past, I was not satisfied with the seller of the monkhood, but later on I had a different thought that Prince Si Dat Ta also sold the monastic position and became a Buddha, so I gave up this attachment and towards the seller of the renunciation If a family has a good heart, good conduct, we can be close.

Venerable Tri Quang taught that if you want to touch Buddha statues, you must look for agarwood, not rotten wood. For him, the cultivator is not spiritually rotten, because outside feels like Buddha, but inside has no core. We should consider to see the truth.

Venerable Tri Tinh said that frankincense is not easy to find, jade is not available, but looking for these things is not for life. I began to think about this teaching of him. In fact in this life, smart, healthy, good people, of course, society uses it, they will be secretary, president, director ...; they are not priests. However, the cultivators present a little light, and after a while, they become disgraced. So, this is said by experienced ancients that ghosts catch them.

Venerable Tri Tinh has a more open mind, he said that whoever is predestined to him, he is willing to do. The abbots should remember this idea, those without conditions have not come, but those with predestined conditions come, we create conditions for them to cultivate, don't let them free themselves.

The Buddha taught the Special Table to remove the rubbish from the outside and also clean up the filth in the mind, so it became La-drought. Therefore, the abbot should pay attention to what the Buddha taught. They are filthy kinsmen, they must begin to wash their bodies clean and must be dignified with merit. If they do not teach them to do so, they become harmful eaters, dangerous to them and harmful.

On our path, people like to say they are not blessed, full of karma, but they have a little predestined relationship with me, with religion, the teachers give them a broom to clean the rubbish in the temple and in their hearts.

As for me, at Hue Nghiem pagoda, there are elderly and sick people coming. I assigned them to clean the temple so that they have some merit so that their sick body will be dignified with merit and their karma will be destroyed. That is the experience I want to share.

And they, who are sick, ignorant, let them ordain, put on Satan's clothes, watch out for sinning them. In fact, wearing the robes of Satan, the gods and the Eightfold set, they see that the robes of Satan must respectfully, cause them to lose more merit, that is, not sickness becomes sick, without evil, but cultivates into evil, and becomes evil karma. Increase must be disgraceful.

As for the Buddha, the Buddha assigned the broom to clean the manure to take care of cultivating merit, new ordination, ordination, worthy of the offering of heavenly beings. Therefore, we do not need people to ordain, but we need people to cultivate the correct Dharma. Venerable Tri Quang is over 90 years old, but he does not tolerate monastics. I have many students, but I am limited to monasticism, because I do not have time to teach, but if I do not teach, if they fail, then I am at fault.

Wearing a robe, but not a Satan is breaking the law, dangerous. Because the pagoda has such a monk that makes the pagans laugh, the Buddhists are sad, the abbot is also miserable.

Therefore, the Church advocates that there must be a cultivation process, to test whether they truly cultivate or not. Determined to cultivate, they accept the hard life and mature.

In my experience, while at the Buddhist school in South Vietnam, I used to clean the toilet. Remembering Ban Tinh's case, I wholeheartedly serve the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha and have achieved good results in my monastic life, monks love me because I serve the masses. I clean, bring rice, so I have merit. After three months of settling down, one day Venerable Thien Hoa went to the toilet, seeing me clean, he told me not to do it anymore, to act as his attendant, because his attendant was disgraced.

I think that because of my determination to cultivate, to gain merit is to be close to an intellectual master like him. Being close to the Venerable Master, I often think about and apply his teachings in my life to help me grow. And even more fortunately, then the Venerable Master told me that I was young, so I went to Japan to see how their Buddhism organized and managed the followers to return to make our Buddhism flourish.

And when I went to Japan to study, I thought about going to Vietnam no matter what, because that was the wish of the teacher and the Patriarch. While all of you were discouraged and advised me not to go home, because at that time people in the country wanted to live abroad.

For me, cultivation is a difficult, painful place, like to be involved, like to do. It is only protected by the Buddha, the protector of the Dragon God, thus, can easily overcome difficult and dangerous things.

It must be said that during the 26 years of propagating the Dharma is the most difficult time of religious practice, I committed to live and die for the religion and fortunately, Venerable Giac Toan shared and suffered common misery.

I think how we can find people to commit to, sacrifice for the religion, being such a person is also precious, than there are many people who cannot benefit the religion.

The abbots of the Buddhist foundation need to consider choosing someone who has the will to renunciate, pray for liberation and transform sentient beings, we will give the ordination and give this mission to them. As for people who are impoverished, sick, and dirty in their minds, force them to wear robes, but their hearts are full of afflictions and are more harmful than good. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.31/8/2020.
