The Twelve Common Mistakes Related To Disciples

(26) The disciple has a great generosity, and the Master is miserable. 
(27) The disciple wants to offer many things to the teacher, but the teacher refuses to accept offerings.

(29) The disciple has knowledge of the twelve types of sutras, and the teacher is not. 
(30) The disciple has grown to be the Sixth Patriot, and the teacher has not. 
(31) The disciple is adept at the means of achieving enlightenment, while the master is adept at how to attain worldly goals. In other words, compared to teachers, disciples know much better means to attain enlightenment. 
(32) The disciple is able to memorize the dharma very well, and the teacher does not.
(33) The disciple wants to record all the teachings on Prajna Paramita, and the teacher is afraid of taking notes or not allowing the disciple to do this. 
(34) The disciple has overcome daily annoying obstacles such as deep kissing, suspicion, regret, arrogance, conceit and distraction of the mind because of things like beautiful scenes, and the teacher has not.

Three Mistakes of the Disciple, Compared to the Master

(35) He talks about the hellish sadness, frightening disciples, giving up the will to reborn in these realms to help sentient beings stuck there. 
(36) He talks about the joys of divine heavenly beings, making disciples interested in desires and wanting to be reborn in those realms. 
(37) He wanted to teach a small group, but the disciple led a crowd to come, disobeying the teacher.

Six Mistakes of the Master of Disciple

(38) He was not fair, such as not wanting his disciples to study with other teachers, but the disciple did not agree, and studied with other teachers. 
(39) He wanted and demanded some things from his disciples, but his disciples did not want to give them to him.
