Who is the Buddha, who is the capital? Who can become a Buddha? We look at the story of the life of Shakyamuni Buddha, to understand that from a brave prince who left the velvet life in the palace, went through the journey of finding enlightenment difficult and time. suffering, finally seeing the truth of the universe and spreading the Dharma, leaving prophetic data until our present day ...
The dream foretold the birth of a great man.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.

In the kingdom of Ca Bhikkhu La Ve (Kapilavattsu), today belongs to Nepal, in the 6th century BC, the queen was Ma Da (Mahamaya), the wife of the King of Sanskrit (Suddodana), then it was about to give birth lowering the first child, had a special dreaming dream.
In the dream, she saw clearly a beautiful white light shone on her, and from the light appeared an extremely pure white elephant with six tusks. The elephant came close and dissolved into her body. She recounted the dream to the king as soon as she regained consciousness and that morning, the king summoned the sages. They said that it was a good sign that the queen would give birth to a great man.
The king was extremely shaken. According to the custom of that time, Queen Ma Da will move to her mother's house to give birth. It was a full moon on the Indian calendar. When stopping to rest at the Garden of Bhikshuni, she suddenly became pregnant and so the prince of the kingdom of Ca Bhikkhu La Ve gave birth to the earth gently.

A light rain then washed the mother and the child. On the same day, seven other beings were also born, respectively Bodhi Tree, Princess Da Da La (Yashodhara), Horse Tribe (Kantaka), the horse driver (Channa), the elephant Kaludayi (prince's childhood friend), and seven helpless treasures.
The little prince was brought back to the citadel that night. Five days later, the prince was named Siddhartha (Siddhartha), meaning "the one who will achieve his goal". Many wise men came to meet and pray for the new prince, among them A Tu Da, who was the old teacher of the king and an ascetic who achieved many achievements achievements.
The king felt very honored by the visit of Taoist A Tu Da (Asita), so the person brought the child to the Taoist so that the child would pay respect to him. Immediately, A Tu Da stood up and immediately realized the lines on the prince's body signaled a spiritual and religious tendency. With supernatural powers, he saw the future greatness of the newborn prince and greeted him with tight fists.
The prophecy of the prince's spiritual life and the isolation from the suffering world
Empress Ma Da died suddenly 7 days later, leaving her position for her sister, Kieu Dam Di (Mahaprajapati), who later raised the prince with love, taking care of the ink. When Tat Dat Da was 12 years old, the king called the sages to predict the future of the prince. They all said that Prince Siddhartha would decide to follow the ascetic practice if he saw signs of old, sick, death or met an ascetic monk.
The sages predicted the future of the prince.
The sages predicted the future of the prince.
Completely unwilling to have his son become a monk, the King of Pure Land wanted to set the path for the prince to reign as king of the army. He then guarded the palace strictly and banned the use of the word "dead" or "suffering" in the palace, so as not to give the prince a concept of worldly suffering.
He separated the prince away from anything that could evoke spiritual inspiration. Therefore, the prince only enjoyed the silk velvet life in the palace. The prince grew up and became a strong man, trained in fighting and marriage skills with the neighboring princess Da Du Da La at the age of 16.
A plan make by people but do it will depended by the god
People try to set things up, but the final will will decide everything. That's what we see through the life story of Shakyamuni Buddha. Although strictly isolated from everything that can inspire austerities, in the end what is arranged for the future of the young prince still follows the sequence to the date of manifestation ...
In the royal palace of silk, Tat Dat Da began to appear to wish to discover the secular world outside the forbidden palace. The person who decided to make a trip to visit his kingdom and his subjects.
There is no good reason to prevent this aspiration, the king agreed and tried to arrange and prepare perfectly. He carefully planned the trip and decorated everything on the route that the prince would go through, turning all into happiness, wealth and beauty.
Bad or sad scenes will be removed to prevent the prince from seeing the four signs pointed out by the wise men as the signs of Old - Sick - Tu, or meeting an ascetic monk. But all the king's vigilance became useless when the prince went on a trip with the charioteer, Sa, who was about to be born on the same day as Tat Dat Da.
While traveling in a small town, Prince Tat Dat Da accidentally saw the face deep in the wrinkles of an old man. That is the first sign of the prophet's forecasts: signs of God. Siddhartha was surprised and asked Nank about the man.
Then he saw a sick man coughing, making it difficult for him to explain. That is the second sign that the prophets have said: Sick. Finally, the prince encounters a funeral at the river bank and an ascetic practitioner - who has given up all worldly joys to gain inner peace and eternal happiness.
So the last two signs are Tu and the presence of an ascetic practitioner who appeared before Tat Dat Da. The compassionate peace of the monk's face made a strong impression on Tat Dat Da. The person who asked Sa Nac the meaning of all these things. The charioteer told the prince about the reality of life that should have been known for a long time.
Returning to the palace, Tat Dat Da asked for permission from his father to leave the palace and become a begging monk in search of the truth of life.

With potential seeds sown in the heart of the prince, when encountering social reality, the person immediately understood that all things in the world are fleeting and illusory and passing, the eternity of birth Destiny is the true thing to look for.
The King of Sanskrit felt very distressed and disappointed, what he had planned was ultimately unsuccessful. The king then sent soldiers to strengthen strict defenses around the palace, and organized more entertainment to cling to the prince, hoping to make his son forget what he saw in society. At this moment, the prince, the princess Da Du Da La gave birth to the first child he named Rahula, meaning "binding."
Siddhartha sees life without meaningless silk and eventually decides to flee on the Tracian horse with the help of a faithful teacher, Sac Na. The Prince woke up in the night, looked at his wife and children for the last time, then got on the horse, and launched. In front of the castle gate, the prince cut off his thick hair and handed the royal cloak to Sac Na.
The journey full of hardship seeks the truth of life of Tat Dat Da
After leaving the palace, Tat Dat Da went to Vuong Xa Thanh, the capital of the ancient Ma Kiet country, where he met some monks meditating in mountain caves. The prince became a disciple of the monk Aarita Lam (Alara Klama), and was taught how to cultivate. After a period of cultivation, the prince did not see any further improvement, so he studied a secluded monk named Gushan La La Ma Tu (Uddaka Ramaputta).
However, after a while, people realized that they could not progress further. Therefore, Siddhartha joined with five monks in the Benares forest to cultivate by corpse, eat very little and experience austerity. From then on, people began to call Prince Dat Dat Da under the name Sakyamuni (Sakyamuni), meaning "the sage of the Sakyamuni family". After cultivating for six years, Shakyamuni discovered that he had not yet attained enlightenment, but his ordinary body became extremely depleted.
One day when he was meditating, he suddenly heard a conversation between two musicians on a boat. The seasoned musician told the apprentice that the strings of the moon should not be too tight or too slack. If the wire is pulled too tight, they will break; and if it is too overlapped, the sound produced will not be correct.
Upon hearing this, Shakyamuni suddenly realized enlightenment to be meditative (walking in the middle) and not moving to the extreme; then he left to walk. On the way, he met a female village girl named Sujata, and she expressed an interest in giving rice cakes to Shakyamuni; capital is now exhausted. Legend has it that Sakyamuni's body returned to normal after eating it.

Enlightenment
He then sat under the Bodhi tree in the Urvela forest and vowed not to get out of meditation without attaining enlightenment. He was confronted with interference from a demon named Mara, who used a hundred thousand plots to harass him but could not turn to the steadfast will of Shakyamuni.
When he saw Shakyamuni breaking through the restraint of desire and attachment, Mara became extremely indignant and sent dozens of armed demons to attack Shakyamuni, but He still stay motionless.
After being defeated and realizing that it would be impossible to interfere with Shakyamuni's non-divine power, Mara sarcastically told him that even though he had won, no one would witness it. be this. Shakyamuni touched his hand to the ground, implying that the earth would be a witness.
The ground suddenly shook as if in response that it would witness the glory of Shakyamuni. From that moment, Shakyamuni continued his meditation process and finally attained enlightenment, his wisdom was opened, and he reached the realm of Buddha after 49 days of meditation. under the Bodhi Tree.
Implementing the predestined mission: Spread the Dharma, compassionate beings
Immediately after attaining the Buddha's results, he began his predetermined mission of spreading Buddha Dharma, saving sentient beings. Shakyamuni taught the first Dharma lesson to his former fellow practitioners, the five monks in Benares. Gradually, the number of his disciples increased to 80,000.
When the King of Sanskrit learned that his son had become a Buddha, he invited Shakyamuni into the palace and rebuked him for asking to eat while he was so rich that he could feed thousands of followers. Shakyamuni explained to his father that it was a requirement of his cultivation system.
During this time, the brother and sister of A Nan Da (Ananda) of Thich Ca Mau Ni, who will be appointed as the crown prince and engaged with Princess Ton Da Lu (Sundari), also decided to step enter the path of cultivation and become a disciple of Sakyamuni. Later, Shakyamuni's son La La La and his mother became his disciples.
However, the harmful interference and jealousy also included: Thich Dat Da (Devadutta), cousin of Shakyamuni, tried to murder him many times because of jealousy, but the Buddha forgave for him with his compassion. The robber General of Angulimal also tried to kill him but eventually his compassion was neutralized and caused the general to rob him and become his disciple.

We see a truth through the story: Buddha's compassion can neutralize everything
On the full moon night of his birth month, in 483 BC, Shakyamuni taught his disciples one last time before entering Nirvana.
