The Buddha taught: This person's previous life's predestined sin and blessing have been accomplished, but this life's predestined guilt and blessings have not yet been achieved; or at the time of death, the mind of good and evil, right view or wrong view. That is, there is a person born in a lowly, poor family, without enough food and clothing; but have no wrong views, but know the retribution of meritorious charity in the past, feel the rich family; not doing meritorious almsgiving always encounter poor retribution not having enough clothes; immediately repented and corrected the previous deeds; all remaining objects are distributed to others; If you are born in the human race, you will have many possessions, many treasures, and nothing will be lacking. This is called a happy person before suffering. What is a person who is happy first and then miserable? That is, someone is born into a rich family of noble lineage; full of robes, but he always embraces wrong views, and is compatible with marginal views, after being born in hell. If you become a human, you will be born in a poor family, without enough food and clothing. This is called a person who is happy before suffering. What is a person who suffers before but also suffers later? That is, someone is born in a poor family, with inadequate food and clothing, but embraces wrong views, and is compatible with borderline views, and after being born in hell. If you are born in a human race, you are really poor, with food and clothing not enough to live on. This is called a person who suffers before but also suffers later. What is the person who is happy first but also happy later? That is, someone who was born in a previous life in a wealthy family, has a lot of property and treasures, respects the Three Jewels, and always practices giving; After being born in the human heavens, he always receives the retribution of wealth, wealth, and treasures. This is called the person who is happy first, but also happy later. At that time, the Buddha told the Bhikkhus: Either there are living beings who are happy before suffering; or have living beings before happy after suffering; or there are living beings before suffering, then also suffering; Or there are living beings before happy-after also happy. If people live to be a hundred years old, it is really possible that a hundred years is the same; either for a hundred years of doing meritorious deeds, or for a hundred years of doing evil deeds. He was at different times, Or winter is happy and summer is miserable. Or rarely do good deeds but always commit sins, then in the next life rarely receive blessings but always accept sins. * If you rarely commit sins but always do good deeds, then in the next life you will rarely accept sins but always receive blessings. Or he always commits sin and continues to sin forever, then in the next life, he will suffer first and then also accept suffering. If he always does good deeds but always does good deeds, then in the next life, he will receive happiness first and then also receive happiness later. Joy and Suffering of Human Life: 2. About Body and Mind At that time, the World-Honored One told the Bhikkhus: There were four people appearing in the world. What are four people? What is a happy relative but an unhappy mind? This is called happy body but unhappy mind. What is a person whose mind is happy but whose body is not happy? That Arahant does not do merit, in the 4 offerings can not take care of himself, but avoids the suffering of the three evil paths. This is called happy mind but unhappy body. What is the relatives and the mind are not happy? That is, ordinary people do not make merit, do not receive the four offerings, and cannot escape the suffering of the three evil paths. This is called the body and mind being unhappy. What is a loved one and a happy heart? It is an Arahant doing merit, The 4 offerings are not lacking, and they are also free from the suffering of the three evil paths. This is called being happy with body and mind.” The Joy and Suffering of Human Life: 3. A brief overview of Generosity, the way to feel the results of suffering and happiness. As a commentary on the Maitreya Sutra, Bodhisattva So asked: "Q: What is the retribution of giving? Answer: Briefly speaking about giving, there is only one kind of fruit, which is called life-use result. There are two kinds of life-use results, which are called present-received results and future-received results. Again there are three kinds of fruit, that is, these two are added to Prajna. Again there are four kinds of fruit, what are the four types? They are: 1- There is fruit but no use; 2- Useful without fruit; 3- Has fruit and is also useful; 4- There is no fruit nor use. 1. There is fruit but no use. That is, don't give without heart, don't give with your own hands, give with disdain. Such giving, though experiencing immeasurable kinds of retribution, which cannot be used. Like the heavenly master Sāvata, although he has innumerable treasures of all kinds, he is unable to use them. 2- Useful but no fruit. That is, do not give alms yourself, see others practice giving and generate a heart of joy. Because of this meaning, even though the feeling is used, there is no fruit itself. Like the things of the Son of Heaven, all Samana-Brahmins.., although they have food and clothing to provide for their life, they themselves have no fruit. Again, it is like the Holy King, who has four kinds of precious soldiers, who, despite having food and clothing, cannot feel the fruit. 3- There is fruit and also useful. That is, giving with a sincere heart, giving with a heart that is not conceited, like the Elders who are Tho De Gia... practicing giving. 4- There is no fruit nor use. That is, giving and then immediately ending, or obstructing the Holy Path to emerge from the world, like a saint who is far away from afflictions. Again there are five kinds of fruit, that is, feeling the life-form-force-reason..., by giving life one gets one's life, so by giving food, one feels giving one's life. Because of this predestined life, the next life will feel a long life. Thus giving of form, giving of power, of giving of pleasure, of giving of wisdom, etc., are the same. Again there are five kinds of excellent results, which is called the offering for parents-patients-mahasattvas; feel the victory of revenge. The body was born and grew up thanks to the nurturing parental grace; Therefore, if you take care of your parents, you will feel the reward of winning revenge. Besides, sick people are lonely and pitiful, because of this meaning, they should generate compassion and give alms to sick people, and they will feel victorious retribution. As for those who preach the Dharma, they can generate the Dharmakaya, increase the Dharmakaya, forever lead and make clear the perception of good and evil, righteousness and unrighteousness, crazy-not perverse, so making offerings to the shaman will feel the reward of victory. In addition, all Bodhisattvas have the ability to capture the benefits of sentient beings and generate compassion as a factor in grasping the Three Jewels without causing them to cease. Because of this meaning, if you make offerings to the bodhisattva, you will experience victory and vengeance." The Joy and Suffering of Human Life: 4. The Four Impossible Things The Buddha told the Bhikkhus: There are four impossible things in life. How are 4 things? They are: The First Impossible: Youth has radiant beauty, black hair, white teeth, bright and smooth face shape, full of strength and health; walking and standing briskly, going in and out naturally at will; The driver rode his horse leisurely, everyone looked up to him with respect, there was no one who did not respect him. When old age has come, the head turns gray, the teeth fall out, the face becomes wrinkled, and the body is heavy and needs a walking stick. The strength to relieve a lot of pain and groaning. Wanting to make the youth never reach old age is impossible. The Second Impossible: Strong body, really strong temperament, excellent walking agility. Eating and drinking at will, the most beautiful jewelry, is said to be second to none. With a crossbow and arrows, with a spear, with a sword; meet danger, do not recognize straight and curved; blurts out and scolds, considers a strong mettle; lying on the bed, unable to move, the body aching like being beaten, the ears, eyes, nose and mouth can no longer hear; No sight, no smell, no taste, everything is out of reach. Sit down and stand up, need to ask someone, the dirty things are naturally discharged, the body lies on that place. Such afflictions are difficult to illustrate; assuming the wish to avoid, often to be, to be free from disease, this is not possible. The Third Impossible: Wanting to live a long life, to survive in the midst of life forever, can avoid the scourge of deadly disease. Life is very short, the heart is full of eternal sadness. Life expectancy is short but sorrow is much; not contemplating impermanence, let loose according to the five sexes; mind is always bohemian, killing-stealing-lustful; double-tongued-slanderous, liar-slanderous; greed, jealousy, wrong views, not being filial to parents; disobey your teacher, despise your teacher, rebellious and immoral; Wishing for abundant wealth, supposedly able to last forever. Detractors slander the Holy Way, because wrong views are unique; Than go alone, love artificial flowers of life, do not know why heaven and earth are outside; do not know the cause and effect of the four elements, like an illusion. I don't know that life has flourished from past to present; do not accept expensive leads; I don't know where I'm born and where I'm going to die, but my mind is still between heaven and earth thinking that I exist. Impermanence suddenly appears, like the wind blowing the clouds away; Thoughts of longing to live forever, my life suddenly ended, unable to be free. Wanting to avoid such encounters, is impossible. The Fourth Impossible: Parents, siblings, relatives, friends, acquaintances, love, wealth, wealth, perks of authority, riding in carriages and sightseeing, wife and children inheriting the world after… all fully satisfied. Therefore, self-indulgence and arrogance; Eat and drink as you like, servants and friends go back and forth, go fast to see the beauty, watch the shadow pass by, despise everyone, think you are wonderful. Berating your guests are trivial, consider them as animals and beasts; in and out indiscriminately, there is no limit, not observing before and after; said that his relatives, people arbitrarily ordered, the wish can last forever. Inherent karma appears suddenly, like hot water melting snow; The new mind is filled with fear, asking for help in a disaster, how can it be fulfilled? Breathing stops, life ends, soul and consciousness go alone, parents and brothers, husband and wife, children, relatives, acquaintances, loved ones, are all left alone. poison. Wealth, officials, guests, friends and servants, all scattered, passing like a meteor. The wish not to die is an impossibility. The Buddha told the bhikkhus: From ancient to present, heaven and earth began to be established until now, no one has been spared the calamity of these four sufferings.
