Sutra of Impermanence. The Buddha said to the Bhikṣus, "There are three things in the world that cannot be loved, cannot be radiant, cannot be remembered, and cannot be satisfied. What are the three? I heard thus: Once, the Buddha was living in the garden of Loneliness, in the Forest of Victory near the city of Phong Duc. At that time, the Buddha said to the Bhikṣu, "There are three things in the world that cannot be loved, no can be bright, can't be expected, and can't be satisfied. What are three? That is old age, sickness, death. Hey Bhikṣu! Old age, sickness, death in the world, it is impossible to love, it is impossible to shine, it is impossible to remember, and it is impossible to please. If there were no old age, sickness, and death in the world, then the Tathagata, the Buddha, the Perfectly Enlightened One, would not have appeared in the world to preach the Dharma that he had attained and the methods of subduing it. Even if you live for a hundred years, the outcome cannot escape impermanence. Even if you live for a full hundred years, the end cannot escape impermanence. Therefore, we must know that, when we are old, sick, and dying in the world, it is impossible to love, it is impossible to shine, it is impossible to remember, and it is impossible to be satisfied. It is because of these three things that the Tathagata, the Offering, and the Perfectly Enlightened One, have appeared in the world to preach the Dharma that he has attained and the method of subduing." At that time, the World-Honored One repeated in verse: The external splendor will eventually decay. The inner body will also decline. Only the Dharma can be won. Therefore, the wise should reflect on this, aging, sickness, and death are all disgusting. Ugly appearance is disgusting. Youthful appearance is only temporary. No After a while, it will wither and fade Even if you live for a hundred years, the end can't escape impermanence Old age, illness, death, suffering, forever chasing Always giving sentient beings no benefit." Who is always asking for vigilance Refusing to do good deeds Not seeing death near How to save lives? When life's roots are about to break Burn all bones apart Suffering and death come At that time hatred and sorrow Both eyes widen Death knife karmic force A terrifying thought No one to help Panting chest palpitations Dry neck breathless Death demanded his life Relatives had to wait and watch All consciousnesses were blurred Going into a dangerous city Relatives all left The ropes to be dragged away Leads to the place of Hell King Depends on karma and receives retribution Human good is born in a good place Bad karma goes to hell No eye is brighter than wisdom. Darkness is better than delusion. There is no disease better than hatred. There is no greater fear than death. If you are born, you will have to die. Create sin and suffer. You should keep the three karmas. Always cultivate wisdom. Always practice virtue.
