Buddhist scriptures teach the practice of ten good karmas. This is what I have heard: Once, the Buddha was staying at the palace of the Sea Dragon King, with 8,000 great bhikkhus and 32,000 bodhisattva-mahasattvas. Ten Good Karmas That Bring Prosperity At that time the World-Honored One told the dragon king: "Because all sentient beings have different thoughts, the karma they create is also different. That is why they have to rotate in the paths. Hey dragon king! Have you seen that the assembly at this Fa conference and the sentient beings in the great ocean differ in form and species? All such differences are due to the mind. It gives rise to wholesome or unwholesome bodily karma, verbal kamma, and mental kamma. But mind has no form, cannot see, and cannot be grasped. It is only due to false hope that dharmas gather and arise. It ends with no master, no self and no self. Although depending on each karma that the current department is different, but it doesn't really have a creator. Therefore, the self-nature of all dharmas is illusory and inconceivable. When the wise know this Tao, they should practice good karma. Thus at birth, the body united by the five aggregates, the twelve inputs, and the six precepts are righteous; Whoever sees them will never be bored. Hey dragon king! You should contemplate the body of the Buddha; That body is born from hundreds of thousands of billions of merits and virtues. The perfect appearance of the Buddha is dignified. A bright light obscured the assembly, and even the radiance of immeasurable billions of free Brahma Kings did not appear. Anyone who contemplates the Tathagata's form will never blink their eyes. Next, you should contemplate the wonderful and dignified body of the great Bodhisattvas here; All are born from the merit of practicing good karma. Again, the heavenly dragons and eight feet with great power, They are also born due to the merits of good karma. At present, all sentient beings in the great ocean with gross forms, whether large or small, are due to all kinds of thoughts of their own mind that do unwholesome deeds through body, speech, and mind. So, depending on the karma, everyone will receive their own retribution. You should study like this now. You should also make sentient beings understand cause and effect and practice good karma. You should remain steadfast in right view, and also do not fall into annihilation or permanent view. As for the fields of merit, rejoice, revere, and nurture. In this way, you will also be honored and worshiped by gods and men. Hey dragon king! You should know that the bodhisattva has a Dharma that can eliminate all the sufferings of the evil path. What is this one Dharma? That is day and night in every mindfulness, always thinking and observing the good Dharma, causing the good Dharma to increase mindfulness, and never mix them with unwholesome deeds, even as small as silk. In this way, one can permanently eliminate evil, perfect the good Dharma, and often get close to Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and other saints. The bodies of gods and men, the Bodhi of Sravakas, the Bodhi of Pratyekabuddhas, and the unsurpassed Bodhi of the Buddhas—all depend on this Dharma to be accomplished as a basis. That's why it's called good Dharma. This Dharma is the Ten Virtuous Karma Paths. What are ten? Illustration. Illustration.
