1. How to get rid of temporary suffering in the current life?
In this life, the poor and needy do not have enough of the necessities of life such as not enough food, not enough warm clothes, unstable accommodation, when sick, there is no cure. etc... Those are the sufferings in this present life.
a) If the poor do not have faith in the Three Jewels, do not believe in karma and its results, do not have wisdom, do not know how to think properly, then they can find a way out of suffering by the path of a profession. killing and afflicting other living beings; stealing, causing damage to others, etc... these jobs can temporarily solve poverty and need, partly meet temporary needs. But because they have created evil karma, so they have to suffer the result of that bad karma not only in the present life, but also have to suffer the result of that bad karma in future lives.
It is a temporary way out of suffering, but it is harmful both in the present life and in many future lives. Therefore, it should not be done, it is necessary to avoid such evil karma.
b) If poor people have faith in the Three Jewels, believe in karma and its results, have wisdom, and know how to think carefully, then they can find a way out of suffering by doing honest jobs, Don't hurt yourself, don't hurt others, don't hurt other sentient beings.
They do not do 5 harmful trades such as:
- Do not trade in weapons to kill living beings.
- Do not trade in people, animals, livestock, poultry, etc.
- Do not kill livestock and poultry to sell meat.
- Do not trade in alcohol, intoxicating substances such as opium, drugs, tobacco, etc.
- Do not trade in poisons that kill living beings.
They abstain from living a wrong life such as doing evil in body , speaking evil words, deceiving, and thinking evil . They live according to the right livelihood by honest occupations. Through their diligent efforts, they also created a lot of wealth, which not only lifted them out of poverty, but also helped benefit many others.
It is a beneficial path out of suffering, bringing happiness to us both in this present life and in many future lives, thanks to the good karma we have created in the present life.
2. How do you get rid of suffering and enjoy lasting peace in the next life?
a) Get rid of suffering, enjoy lasting peace in the next life by being reborn in the world of desire
In this life, there are some people who are rich and wealthy, have all the necessities of life, have pure faith in the Three Jewels, believe in karma and its results, have lucid wisdom, have a If you understand the Buddha's teachings, you should consider that:
“In this human realm, sometimes good karma gives results, body and mind are at peace, but sometimes bad karma gives results, body and mind suffer; Human lifespan is also not fixed. In the worlds of the sex world, bad karma has no chance for results, but only good karma has the opportunity for peaceful results; Life expectancy is also certain, long depending on each of those worlds of desire. So we should create all good deeds such as: Giving alms, keeping the precepts to be pure and complete; practice meditation without attaining any level of meditation; If you practice wisdom meditation, if you have not yet attained the Noble Path - Holy Fruit, you are still a good human being.
This kind of human wisdom after death, due to good karma, gives birth (rebirth), becomes a god or a goddess in the world of desire, enjoys all the happiness in that heaven (until the end of his life span). )".
That is the path to liberation from suffering, to enjoy lasting peace in the next life by being reborn in the world of desire.
b) Being freed from suffering, enjoying lasting peace in the next life by being reborn in the formless world and the formless realm.
In this life, there are some sane people who have clear wisdom, have a deep understanding of the Buddha's teachings, and should be able to consider that:
“In the sensual worlds of heaven and earth , although there is happiness, that happiness still depends on the five worlds ( color, sound, scent, taste, and touch ) which are coarse, unrefined, and aged. not long life. Also in the realm of gender identity heaven and heaven formless realm , there is peace is not related to the world of sense, it is extremely subtle, longer service life (measured by aeons). Practitioners of meditation attain to any formless jhāna, or to a formless jhāna, and after death, that jhāna will surely give birth to the form heaven , or heaven. formless world according to that jhāna.”
After such proper consideration, the worldly wise person practices the meditation subject that is likely to lead to the attainment of material jhāna .
If the meditator practices the meditation leading to the attainment of any of the four rupa jhānas and maintains that rupa jhāna until death, then after death surely that rupa jhāna will return. reborn as a brahma in the form-world corresponding to that meditator, enjoys peace until the end of his life in that brahma-form heaven of form.
If a meditator practices meditation, after having attained the four formless jhānas , then continues to practice the meditation leading to the attainment of any of the four immaterial jhānas, then after death he is certain to attain the formless jhāna. That formless meditation results in rebirth in the formless world corresponding to that meditator, enjoys a bliss infinitely more subtle than the form realm, and has a longer lifespan than the formless realm. .
The four formative jhānas and the four immaterial jhānas exist both in Buddhism and outside of Buddhism.
That is the path to liberation from suffering, to enjoy lasting peace in the next life, due to being reborn in the formless world and the formless realm.
3. How to get rid of suffering completely?
In this life, a person of human wisdom, who has clear wisdom, has a deep and profound understanding of the Buddha's teachings, should be able to consider that:
“The life of each sentient being depends entirely on karma and longevity. The cycle of birth and death in the three worlds and four species from beginningless time cannot be known, sometimes creating bad karma, sometimes creating good karma.
If evil fruit now, they will be reborn in the realm of evil 4 World: Location hell, atula, hungry ghosts, animals.
If good kamma produces results, then one will be reborn in a wholesome realm that is the human realm, the six desire realms of heaven, the sixteen form realms, and the four formless realms, depending on the power of that wholesome kamma. No matter what realm a being is reborn in, that realm is only a temporary residence according to that being's lifespan . Among the 31 realms of the three realms, there are a number of realms with an undetermined lifespan, and a number of realms with a definite lifespan. The highest realm of the three worlds and have the longest life span is the formless heaven of neither Perception nor Non- perception , which has a lifespan of 84,000 earth kalpas, which means that Brahma in this realm can stay the longest. means permanent residence .
The Brahma in this formless heaven until the end of his life, after death, due to the good karma of the sex world, the result is rebirth in the good world, which is the human realm or the heaven of the sex world; and then continue the journey of birth and death in the three worlds and four species, in which birth and death is suffering , and not being born and reborn is bliss . But sentient beings still have the dark ignorance ( avijjā ) because they have not yet realized the truth of the Four Noble Truths, and they also have craving ( taṇhā ) like a rope around the neck leading in the cycle of birth and death in the three worlds and four species. liberated from suffering.
In the cycle of birth and death, not every life is born as a rich person, as a deity in the world of desire, as a brahmin in the formless realm, in the formless realm!
If it is still a mortal with complete integrity of ignorance, craving, and afflictions, it is difficult to avoid falling into the four evil realms: hell, atula, hungry ghosts, and animals .
In Gotama Buddha's past life Jātaka, when he was still a Bodhisattva, he was also reborn in the hell realms, animals, etc. in one life, let alone ordinary mortals, how to avoid the four realms that evil world!
A Great Elder taught that: An object is thrown into the air, even if it is fast or slow, it must fall to the ground. It is the ground that receives everything that falls from the air. Likewise, sentient beings in the cycle of birth and death in the three realms of the four realms from beginningless time have not been able to know, surely it is difficult to avoid falling into the four evil realms: hell, atula, hungry ghosts, and animals.
Indeed, it is the good karma that supports rebirth as a human in the human realm, as a deity in the sex world heaven, as a brahmin in the formless realm, in the formless realm; and every good kamma that produces results has its duration. Therefore, sentient beings who have been born in any realm will have a lifespan in that realm. At the end of their lifespan, they must abandon that realm whether they want to or not, and then, depending on their karma, will be reborn in that realm. is different.
