What does this do? The four commandments of this sutra are contained in the eight words, "Taoist, Sangha, Praise, Annunciation." What do these eight words say? It is "filial piety" - filial piety to parents. Human beings if know how to keep the heaven and earth radiant radiance. What makes heaven and earth touch is also filial piety, should say: "Heavenly land, tastes first" (heaven and earth are considered serious filial piety, first is).
1)  filial piety . The word "filial" is very important. Just a word "filial" is full of peace, quiet. There is a sentence:
"Filial piety complete penalties."
If you are grateful to your parents then your children will also be grateful to you. If you are not filial, your children will not be filial to you.
Why should we learn to be human? What do people mean? Someone said: "I am a man like this is just finished!" Saying that is not! The duty of a man is to be filial to his parents, because his parents are the heaven and the earth, the chief, and also the buddhas. There are new parents; Without this parent, I do not have this body, without this body to practice, I will never become a Buddha! So, to become a Buddha, first to complete filial paternity with parents. So, only the first is "Hieu Da"
2)  Birth . The second verse of this sutta is "Birth."
What is called "birth"? From the side of this side to the other side, called "degrees." From birth to death Nirvana is also called "degrees." From afflictions that are also called "degrees." means to save sentient beings. "Saving beings" is not just one or two people, not three or five people. "Beings" is the escape of all twelve kinds of beings. We must develop all beings, making all beings soon become Buddhists; So called "beings degrees."
3)  Canvas . This is the third card. This Sutra has the ability to "eradicate suffering," ending all suffering of beings.
4)  An . "Reporter" here is a response to the birth of the parents.
So, the eight words "Dao Dao, Khanh Kho, Sang Sanh, Bao An" is the only reference of the Sutra. If the lecture is too much, so I only mention the key points; After understanding the main ideas, you will be all clear.
Hearing of filial piety, many people think: "I have to go back to minister, filial paternity for parents!" But come home, meet parents, they again have disabilities, forget the filial duty . Why did they forget? Because they do not understand the true way of filial piety. Studying the Dharma is rightful filial piety. Do not say that the house around the new parents are filial, and then home to forget the filial duty! You are here studying Buddhism, learning to be good people - this for the world is very beneficial. Benefiting the world is the same as filial paternity.
"Hieu" is classified into four categories:  Xiao Hieu, Dai Hieu, Vien Hieu and Me Hieu .
What is called  "Little Hieu" ? "Xiao Hiao" is filial in the family, ie filial piety to his biological parents, not filial to all people, not to have filial piety, generous.
What is "Hieu Quang Dai"  ? That is  Great Hieu  - filial piety with the whole world, see all the parents in the world as their parents. This is called proselytization for everyone. However, Dai Hieu is not the right path.
What is  "filial piety" ? Only when you become a Buddha is called true filial piety, new is  "truthfulness."  This is a true kind of filial piety, beyond all four kinds of filial piety. The Buddha Sakyamuni, although his father did not allow his family, want to hold him forever in the palace, but he fled the imperial city, secretly leave the monk. After six years of ascetic ascetic disciples on the Mount Snow, He enlightened the Buddha into the Bodhi. Then the Buddha, he came to heaven, because the mother who taught the Dharma. You see, is not it true filial piety?
What is called  "mercury" ? Follow the example of modern-day tastemakers, learning how to applaud their parents - that is called "Subtlety." There is a sentence:
"Vien Hieu, antiquarian effect;
Mieu Hieu, the effect of the time.
Vien Hieu  is a filial example desired by the generation of transmissions and imitation; Mieu Hieu is the current consolation. Miao Hieu may also be called Xiao Hao, although there are some differences. Far Hieu is the most generous, typical of the Two Tieu Xie Hieu (twenty-four mirror of death) of China. Their filial piety is eternally transmitted, saving the fragrance for thousands of generations.
In China's Four-Tails, there is a Vong. Gao Vong, also known as the Dafa, is a filial son. The family is very poor, the house is lacking before the latter; His neighbor, Wang Qi, is very rich and wealthy. Gao's mother thanks the filial to be healthy rosy; The age is high but still flexible and always happy. Meanwhile, Wang's mother, despite his abundant money, eats all the delicacies and delicacies, but is thinly skinny, and looks sad and mentally unsettled. .
One day, when Gao and Wang were empty, Wang's mother came over and asked his mother: "Your older sister is tall, your house is poor, Why are you always cheerful, healthy? "
Geng's mother replied, "Because my son is filial. He did not dare to do anything bad, again very honest, diligent work; So I'm very happy, no worries or sadness. Perhaps with a relaxed mind, in peace, the body is healthy.
Then she asked Wang Qi's mother: "The house is so rich and wealthy, is eating delicious food is strange, why are so thin?Are you thin like a reed, have any disease? "
Wang's mother sighed. "Me? Rich are also rich, eating is also the delicious, delicious addition; However, I have encountered a guy who is a fool, doing all kinds of illegal things, causing me very painful. Today breaking the law, breaking the law tomorrow; Today is not wrong to pursue, tomorrow also ordered by the road to ask questions. I am from morning to evening for so little anxiety anxiety, how delicious food also swallowed not down, not happy. By the time all my sorrows are melancholy, so I'm getting more and more worn out! "
"Hieu", though, has Hien, Le Hieu, Dai Hieu, Tieu Hieu, but if it comes to filial righteousness is the practice to become later Buddha. Today you stay in the study of Buddhism, do not leave, that is true Hieu. Studying and practicing the Dharma is the rightful and lasting filial piety.
Why is it called "Earth"? "Land" means land, and has the potential to grow all things. "Tibet" is viscera, ie treasure. The term "organ" is also meant to be stored, hidden. All the treasures of all things, all things can be buried underground. This bodhisattva is like a great place - can grow all things, there are countless boundless treasure buried underground that anyone can unearth. Those who believe in Him will have a share in those treasures. In these treasures, anything is possible, even precious things like diamonds, gold, silver, glass, crystal, pearl, etc. There is no lack of a consciousness. If you get a piece of diamond weighing three hundred pounds, then you will become "rich man," the richest man in the world! When I heard about the "three hundred pounds" diamond, many laughed, thought it was too big! Really, it is the youngest in the store; The biggest member is afraid that you can not lift! Because of the above virtues, the Bodhisatta has the title "Geodiversity."
"Bodhisattva" is Sanskrit, which means "being aware of," ie a person who is enlightened among the ranks of beings. It also means "sense of being," which is the person who, after enlightenment, immediately bring what he has learned to teach, causing other beings to be enlightened as himself. This is the "self-awareness, sense of forgiveness" - after self-enlightenment, then vow for all beings to be enlightened. Also can be called "self-interest, self-gain" - yourself have great wisdom, vow that all beings are also great wisdom. There is great wisdom then no longer crazy.
"Dignity" is the vow that the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva, which was established from the past, not now. "From ancient to now" means from when? It is from innumerable past lives. In many past lives, he has given this vow, so called "vows."
The Twelve Sutras are part of the Compassion, recording things that happened in the past. Similarly, the current "wish" of the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva is the vows that He has played in the past, not just in this life. In this life he only repeats and continues to perform the vows only. How did he deliver the vows? He vowed:
"Hell is not empty, I decided not to become a Buddha;
All beings are gone, I just witnessed Bodhi. "
If all the hells are not empty, still sinners, he is determined not to become a Buddha. Only when hell is completely empty, there is no sin, he became a Buddha. Think about it, how big is this vow? "Bodhisattva Vow of Bodhisattva vow:" I vow to stay in hell to lead all the ghosts. If these ghosts are not happy one day, I do not have a Buddha. Waiting for all the demons in hell to be liberated, leaving suffering happy, then I became a Buddha. "
We try to think, beings create karma is extremely, negativity is endless; then how can hell ever come together? Unless negativity and karma of beings are eliminated, then the hell may have empty days. Still, karma of beings can not be eliminated, defilements can not be eliminated, the hell can not be empty?
The chivalry of the Bodhisattva, in view of today's philosophers and scientists, is the most idiotic and also the most foolish one? Why do they think this is the most foolish thought and behavior? Because this thing can not happen - hell is never empty! Then the Earth permanently did not have the opportunity to become a Buddha?
Not so! It is not the most idiotic thought and act, but a compassionate thought and act, and also a filial piety and thought.Why is it a thought and a filial act? Bodhisattva, after observing and know his mother was hell, suffering many suffering, came to ask the Buddha supreme degrees for the body.
Who is the real Bodhisattva Bodhisattva? He is Sun Shan Ma Ha Kien Lien, vows in hell to do Bodhisattva. Why do you want to be a Bodhisattva in hell? Because he understands and understands all the sufferings his mother has suffered, he recalls: "If your mother suffers, then all the mothers in this world will suffer as well. "So he used the same fidelity, not discrimination, but the escape of all beings in hell, leaving them suffering miserable. END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.20/2/2018.
