SURAMGAMA. (Unit 3)

     Deciding to obey the non-dual equality of the Tathagata, to avoid all the disdain and suspicion, in the mind of Venerable said: For the male master, not noble or lowly, clean food, mind Compassion to accomplish all beings are cultivated immeasurable merit. Just think like this, hand hug bowl, go home each along the street, dread seriously, correct legal alms.

(4) Sa Ma Tha:  Also known as tranquility meditation, translated into Chinese as  " Just " , meaning to stop, is sitting quietly for thought out thoughts to arise, to be pure Ceiling to the heart of quiet; This is Zen meditation, as well as  Non-Quan .

     In terms of the contents of  the Surangama Sutra , the ultimate goal of the monk is to  certify the  master Lang , which can enter the mind of the purity of the permanent resident, bright color, achievement results Bodhi . In order to attain that end, the Buddha taught the Ananda and all audiences, as well as the followers, as we do:

1) First of all is the  Sama-tha law, the use of eliminating the hope of the mind to  enlighten the heart of the pure purity of the head, birthless immortal.

 2) Second,  Tam-ma-topic , after knowing that the capital is available to the heart, permanent birthless, immortal, mysterious, develop the Bodhi mind, diligent  practice meditation .

3) Finally,  meditation , spiritual practice to  attain full knowledge of wisdom  , achievement of the Supreme Voices.

     In summary, if the combination of three different names on the back, then it is  the  capital of Lang Shui , which is  physically ; also of  s u, then three different designations are 3 stages in the process of concentration enlightenment Prime Surangama.

3). ASKING QUESTIONS (1)

     Buddha told An Nan:  
- He and I are brothers, the same race, do not know when the new mind, in the legal world, he saw what the victorious thing that immediately discharge deep love of the world? 
     A white Buddha:  
- I see thirty-two generals win (4) wonderful of the Tathagata, clear in the form of glasses, often think of himself is not due to sexual desire; why? Because of the ugly sex drive, the darned blood hemorrhage can not be born miraculous light, so pure pride, so should be taunted Buddhist followers. 
     The Buddha said: 
- Good Luck! An Nan, you should know, all beings from infinite to now, birth and death continuously, just because the mind is not often mind (5), pure nature clear, , hope that no legs should have reincarnation. The ten directions of the Buddha and the same path from samsara are from the heart (7), because of vipassana and straight speech, like from the beginning to the end, to the steps, in the middle there are no generals around . 
- Now he wants to consult Supreme Bodhi (8), invent the true nature, please answer the question directly. An Nan, now I ask him: when he developed charm in thirty-two generals of the Tathagata, get what to see? Who knows the desire? 
- White Lord, using the mind and eyes of the children saw the victory of the Tathagata, the birth of love should release the mind, the discharge of birth and death. 
     Buddha said: 
As you said, the desire is due to the mind and the mind. If you do not know where the eyes and eyes are, then you can not subdue it. (9) For example, the country has an enemy, the king sent troops, the soldiers must know the enemy's enemy. Causing him to move is a mistake in the mind and the eyes; I asked him: Where is his mind and eyes?

EXPLAIN:

(1) Mind:  Mind is all and most important, Mind has many meanings:

1. Mind is synonymous with Manas (s: manas), is the seventh consciousness, mind, thought, thought. Mana-na is considered human theoretical, there are two tasks are: Acquisition of information for A Lai Lai is the eighth consciousness that holds all the information of life, and control the five senses and consciousness. Mental consciousness (s: vijñāna), Consciousness is the sixth form of thinking and discrimination for the five sense comments. The object of consciousness is all material and thought. 3. True Conscience: The absolute, the feet like the law.

4. Starting mind (Sitta Citta): Awareness Awareness, the 8th consciousness.

5. Conscience (S: Manas): Nata, the seventh consciousness.

Saving the mind (S: Manovijnãna): consciousness, the sixth consciousness.

(6)  Thoughts : Think about remembering everything else.

(7) Righteousness: Virtue and straight speech, no crooked.

(8) Supreme Bodhi:  Bodhi is Enlightenment, Liberation, Supreme Bodhi is Enlightenment Liberation in the end. 
(9) Tran lao: The word  " Tran "  is dust, meaning pollution; The word  " lao "  is hard, hard-hearted, miserable; " Tran lao "  means defilement.

     Said Venerable said" because see thirty two General victory of the Tathagata, should think this general is not due to sex education; Because of sexual desire pollution, defilement of dirty blood can not produce magic, clear fire like that, so have fans follow the Buddhist monk" It means that because the 32 good generals of the Buddha should understand that by the practice that is like, so fans that the Buddhist monk. It should be noted that when the Buddha returned to his homeland, initially due to the suspicion and arrogance of the elders, he used the divine magic to sit in the air, to make fire and water from his body. Then there are many young people in the royal family who follow him as monks, such as Nan Da, Nan Da, A La Law, Rahula (his son was seven years old), etc.

     The Buddha said: " Really! An Nan, you should know, all beings from infinite to now, life and death continuously, just because they do not know the heart, often clear mind, reincarnation. The ten directions of the Buddha and the same path from birth and death are all from the heart, because the virtue and straight words, from the beginning to the end, to the rank, all without the wind . It means that all sentient beings from innumerable past lives are only clinging to the thoughts of their minds, but they do not know the true mind. They do not know the true mind , they are dragged into the path of birth and death. go to life in the six realms of samsara not end. Why?

     For example, to be born human, we usually have eyes seduced by beautiful images, ears fascinated by speech, nose is entangled by fragrances, tongue is attracted by sweet taste, body pleasure contact, attachment by the silhouette, the feeling is recorded in the mind called dharma. These things make people remember not to forget, always chase after them, find ways to satisfy, if not satisfied, find a way to get. So often create karma, by telling the truth or lying, saying straight or saying eel hollow piercing, saying moral harmony or malicious speak evil. To use the body of action to satisfy their will, to pay the penalty, to be born into one of the six realms is: Or to heaven, or back to be human, or goddess, or into the devil, or animal, or hell, Depending on whether you have done good or have created evil, you must go to the corresponding place. And the Buddhas say, acting and thinking straight up not winding, so they are out of the cycle of life and death.

     The Buddha continued: " Now you want to consult Supreme Bodhi, invent the true nature, be honest answer my question. Now we ask him: when he developed charm in thirty-two generals of the Tathagata, take what to see (?); Who knows the desire? "Meaning that if you want to study the ultimate liberation of the truth of the mind, what is first of all to see thirty-two generals winning? 

     Venerable A Nan Da said: " I use my eyes to see the general victory of the Tathagata, the heart of the heart desire to play the soul to discharge birth and death." It means to use the eyes and mind to see thirty two good generals, thus developing the Bodhi mind. 

     The Buddha said:As you say, the desire for the mind and the eye. If you do not know where the eyes and eyes can not be exposed to the ceiling; For example, the country has an enemy, the king sent troops, the soldiers must know the enemy's enemy. Causing him to rotate is a mistake in the mind and the eyes, I ask him: Where is his mind and eyes? "  That is the desire of the eyes and mind, but to surmount the afflictions, it is important.
