Dai Lam, Mahāvana, is the neighboring forest of the city of Tirupati, Central India, also known as Kūṭāgara-śalā, ie Trung-lecture halls, or Cao-lecture halls, Road, the Confederacy. According to the records of high-rise Fa Hien, the "north of Pi-amnesty-li has Vihara Chongqing-the jungle Dai Lam, is where the Buddha once resided." 1 Compassion is law Pi-she-sa, vol 10 , said, "This forest was not planted by humans, but was a primitive forest, extending from the Capernaum to the Snow Mountain, so named Dai Lam. The lecture halls are built of wood of this forest, with the architecture as a tern, full of amenities, to offer the Buddha. " 2

According to the records of Huyen Trang, "the northern city of Vaisali has a tower built by King Ao Uu. To the right of the tower is a stone pillar 60 meters high, on the head of the stone is a lion statue.3 South of the stone pillar there are ponds, which is a pond by the monkeys peach to offer Buddha. The Tathagata was once here. Not far from Di Loi lake, there is a tower, where monkeys climb up the tree to give honey to the Tathagata. In the south of Dioui pond, there is a tower, which is a place where monkeys come to worship the Buddha. The north-west corner of Di-lagoon has a monkey image. " 4 The linguistic sense , Volume 14, also noted:" In ancient times, monkeys wanted to make offerings to the Buddha, so they gathered to dig a pond, This is called Dihuang, it is called the habit of people. " 5

Many documents show that the Dai Lam forest with the immense denim of Diang pond (Markaṭa-hrada-vihāra) is one, but the Mahāvastu dynasty statement recorded in Vaisali has two dwellings that the Buddha once inhabited. . Comment read: "City of Pi-amnesty-li has two residents, one is Dai Lam; The second is the Dune side of the pond. A-function, business law of the law, A-nan Sun told that:

"I hear that, a time when the Exalted Sun in the state of Pi-li, in Dai Lam. Then the monks to bowl outside the vacant land, bowl of the Exalted One, there is a monkey embracing the Buddha's bowl that go.The monk Bowl-booing, afraid it broke the bowl of the Buddha. But the Buddha said to the monks: 'Leave it alone. Leave it alone. Do not cry.It does not break bowls. Then the monk hugged the Buddha, went to a tree, slowly climb up, take full bowl of honey in the saola, and slowly climb down, return to the Buddha, bring the bowl to the Buddha. The Buddha did not receive. At that time the monkey hugged the bowl to one side, using chopsticks to remove the worm. After picking it deep, he hugged the bowl back to the Exalted. The Sun did not receive.Monkey hugged aside, draw water into the bile, then hug back to the Exalted. The Buddha immediately received. The monkeys saw the Honorium and then happily exhilarated,7

Conversation on the side of the pond

At that, on the side of Dihua, the Sun had a leaf house. Nearby, there is a stilt house where the senior elders honor the gods such as Cāla, Upacāla, Kukkuṭa, Kaḷimbha, Nikaṭa, Kaṭissa .... Then Dai Lam forest, unhappiness became leisurely. This is because the royal kings of the Licchavī clan, with the habit of kings, preferred to express authority and want people to pay attention, have beaten the bell when it came to the Buddha to make offerings, respect and hear. French. Then the elders heard the noise and thought: 'The sound is thorny for meditation', the Buddha said: 'The sound is thorny for meditation.'Then the Elders of the monks immediately leave Dai Lam passing through the Forest of the Hells, there is no disturbance, living solitary solitude, seclusion in the desert that static mind.

After the Licchavis were exhorted by the Buddha, thirst quenched thirst, joyous achievement, straight from the seat to stand up, bow to the Buddha's feet, noise around the three rounds and then leave. They returned, the Buddha asked the bhikkhus: "Where are the great elders where the disciples came?" It is known that you have gone through the Forest of Hail Sage, there is no disturbance, live solitary solitude, seclusion in the desert where the static mindset, the Blessed Monk praised and taught that:

- "Well instead, hey, this bhikkhu. Answer as the great disciples replied, is answered in a good way. O bhikkhus, "Noise is thorn for meditation," was said by Me. O bhikkhus, there are ten kinds of thorns. What is ten?

- For the far-favored, the congregation likes the thorns. With the practitioner training the general impure, practice is pure thorns. With the protection of the grounds, go see the performance art is thorny. For the living Brahmin, close to women is hemp. With the first meditator, the noise is thorn. With the second meditator, the thorax is thorny. With the third meditator, joy is the thorn. With the fourth meditator, the breath is the thorn. For those who have attained the veneration of thought, thought and feeling are the thorns. Greed is thorny. The yard is thorny. Si is a thorn.

- Monks, live not the thistle. Be bhikkhus, live out of the thorns. O bhikkhus, live not thorn and leave the thistle. O bhikkhus, there is no thorn tree Arahant. O bhikkhus, leaving the thorn is an arahant. This, monks, have no thorns and leaves flax is level Arhat. " 8

Read the above paragraph and contemplate the present life to see what it looks like, when we also self-piercing spikes into the body and mind with the sound, form, ritual, drum, chanting; With the work in the name of the Buddha ... In the midst of the chaos, bustling, defiled, fainted things of the time, fake goods and pseudo-morality, the image of the elders look up to the forest tranquility, there is no disturbance, living solitary solitude, secluded quiet place where static saturated thinking worthy of shelter for heaven!

The hard work

At one time, the Buddha was in the chapel-hall, on the side of the Dahlia. Then the young Licchavī crowd came to play in front of the gates. They take the arrow and shoot together, from far away through the small hole, from the tail of the arrow to the tail of another arrow, no one slipped. A-nan A-nan see and wondered because they rushed hit, the arrows through the small hole. Religion A-nan said that it is difficult to do, but when the story is told to the Buddha, the Buddha asked: "What do you think? The young Licchavis fought each other in the small hole and all the arrows passed through. It is difficult or split a hundred hairs a part, then hit into a fraction hairs and all those that were hit by arrows, is difficult? "

We all have the answer, but the Buddha says that hard work is "not equal to the Noble Truth of Suffering which is the truth, then this is more difficult. Likewise, for the Universal Suffering, the cessation of the Noble Truth, the cessation of the Noble Truth of the Truth that is real, it is really difficult. " 10 Why? Because: "Monks, for lack of understanding, do not comprehend Four noble truths that I as well as you have long gone through many incarnations of samsara." 11

The blind turtle

The Blessed One uses the image of a very profound example: For as the land is turned into a great sea, there is a blind turtle, living countless lives; Hundreds of new years to come up once. In the sea there is a floating log, with only a hole, floating on the waves in the wind drifting East West. The one-hundred-year-old turtle whose head once again will meet the hole? - Can not! Assuming that blind turtles and wooden logs are in opposite directions, but can be encountered - extremely rare events - they are not as peculiar as the foolish adventurers of the five paths, This is even harder than it seems. Why?Because these beings do not practice this meaning, do not practice Dharma, do not practice good things, do not practice true, in turn kill each other, the strong overwhelms the weak, creating immeasurable evil. Therefore, bhikkhus,12 END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/6/2017.
