Actually, life is often hidden from our sight. Like a dark cloud covering the full moon in the night, or the ripples of the lake, we can not see the bottom of the water, the defilements in our heart prevent us from realizing the truth of life.

We are always looking for trivial desires and resist what we do not like. So our minds become agitated, so that we can not recognize the nature of life. We are free to seek the truth but not cease to doubt. Our hearts are almost always dispersed, hopefully moving, thoughts jump to another thought without spending enough time focused on a single thought to draw out the deep. Therefore, It is not surprising that we do not realize what is really important in life and what is not.
Knowing the truth of life, you will slow down and realize what is really important in life. But what is the truth of life? Many religions answer that the truth of life is to accept the saint of that religion. Buddhism looks very different from other religions. The answer of Buddhism is very profound, if we diligently practice Buddhism, we can change our way of thinking and behavior.
The truth of life according to the teachings of the Buddha
In the Central Sutra, the Ratthapala Sutta, No. 82, tells of a time when the Buddha was in the town of Kuru, preaching to many Brahmins. Among the French hearers there was a married man and a wealthy man named Ratthapala. This guy after hearing the enlightened legal way, later to achieve Arahant. Here are four truths of life according to the Buddha's teachings in the Ratthapala Sutta:
- The world does not last, all things are mutated, decay over time

When young, we are both physically and mentally healthy. We have the ability to do anything. In our world, there are boys who run faster than horses, are healthier than buffalos and are quicker than monkeys. But who will be high age weak, can not even lift up his arm. The world does not last, everyone will grow old with time. This is a fact of life.
- The world does not have shelter, protection

We often mistakenly believe that money, status and family will protect us from suffering. Every time you have physical or mental pain, you can not call any of your relatives, friends or relatives and say, "Everyone here share with me this pain, more painful, "or" Use the money and power in any way you want to ease my pain. " You have to feel alone and suffer pain. Therefore, this world does not exist protection, protection.
- The world does not exist, people must die and leave everything behind

In this world there have been many emperors, monarchs, leaders and power figures. They are so rich that their gold coins can cover the ground. There are high-ranking officials leading the army of millions of soldiers. Someone took control of a continent. But where are they now? They could not even carry a penny they earned. Can not they retain a piece of land under their control? All the luxuries they once possessed were just the scene of the dream, nothing real exists. From the poorest beggar to the richest, most powerful emperor, they carried nothing when they died.
- The desire for the world is never enough, it can not be satisfied, and you are the slave of desire

Remember the pleasures you've experienced in your life, such as the great people you've met, the places you've been to, the flavors you've tasted, the money you've earned, etc .... Are those sensual pleasures enough to satisfy your desires? Did a good meal satisfy the desire to eat another meal a few hours later? A fun event that appeased the need to enjoy the fun again? Are you satisfied with the amount of money you earn and think that is enough?
The world is never enough, it can not be satisfied, and we are like slaves controlled by desire. When desire entices us to sleep, we sleep. When desire motivates us to eat, we eat. When desire draws us to where we are, we go there. If we resist desire, our minds will be like fire, followed by despair, misery.
Lesson for Buddhists

Our youth will soon be over. It is very easy to overuse youth energy. Use youth energy to do something useful for yourself as well as others. Help everyone, actively spread happiness across the world. The good things you do will come back to you when your age is weak.
Understanding the truth of this life is the process of cultivating the mind, nourishing love and compassion so that you can be strong against the reality of life even the harshest.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.7/12/2017.
