KHANDHAPARITTASUTTA STORIES

The four serpent species are:

- Bhikkhus, the bhikkhu not sure to spread the heart from the four species of serpent, so the snake bites to death. If the bhikkhu is meditating on the four serpents of the serpent, then the bhikkhu is certainly not bitten by the serpent.

Tâm từ là một loại bảo bối thần diệu, có một oai lực phi thường như phép mầu nhiệm không chỉ bảo vệ thân và tâm của người có tâm từ được an toàn, an lạc một cách tự nhiên, mà còn cải hoá được người khác, cải ác tòng thiện, cải tà quy chánh trở thành một con người thiện hoặc con vật hiền lành thuần tính.
Muốn được hiệu nghiệm như vậy, hành giả phải là người có tâm từ sự phát xuất từ thiện tâm trong sạch với tâm sở vô sân có một năng lực phi thường hướng đến tất cả chúng sinh cả thảy, không ngoại trừ một chúng sinh nào cả; tâm từ hoà đồng giữa mình với tất cả chúng sinh cả thảy. Khi ấy, tâm từ có năng lực phi thường, niệm rải đến tất cả chúng sinh, thì mới thấy, mới biết sự hiệu nghiệm của tâm từ.
Sau đây trích dẫn hai bài kinh, mà Ðức Phật dạy về phương pháp niệm rải tâm từ:
- Bài kinh Mettāsutta: kinh Tâm Từ, nội dung bài kinh này đã được đề cập giải thích ở phần đầu quyển sách này.
- Bài kinh Khandhasutta: kinh rải tâm từ đến bốn dòng tộc rắn chúa và các loại chúng sinh khác, do năng lực tâm từ của mình, tất cả các loài chúng sinh đều được sống an lành, không làm hại mình được.

Nghĩa tuyên cáo bài kinh Tâm Từ:
1- Thưa chư bậc Thiện trí,
Hành giả thường tinh tấn,
Tiến hành rải tâm từ,
Ngày đêm không ngưng nghỉ,
Theo kinh Tâm Từ này.

2- Ngủ nghỉ được an lạc,
Không thấy mọi ác mộng,
Thức dậy được an lạc,
Có rất nhiều quả báu,
Trong bài kinh Tâm Từ,
Chúng tôi tụng niệm đây:

Nghĩa bài kinh Tâm Từ:

3- Bậc Thiện trí sáng suốt,
Biết cầu sự lợi ích,
Niết Bàn an tịnh lạc,
Tâm từ làm nền tảng,
Thực hành giới-định-tuệ.
Bước đầu nên thực hành,
Hành giả có đức tính:
- Có năng lực đức tin.
- Tính ngay thẳng chân thật.
- Có tính tình trung thực.
- Người dễ dạy, dễ khuyên.
- Tính nhu mì hiền lành.
- Không ngã mạn, khiêm nhường.
- Biết tri túc hài lòng.
- Người dễ nuôi, dễ sống.
- Người ít việc, ít công.
- Có đời sống nhẹ nhàng.
- Biết thu thúc lục căn.
- Có trí tuệ thông suốt.
- Thân, khẩu, ý thuần đức.
- Không quyến luyến gia đình.
- Không làm mọi điều ác.
Mười lăm pháp nền tảng,
Của pháp hành tâm từ.

4- Khi hành giả tiến hành,
Niệm rải tâm từ rằng:
Cầu mong mọi chúng sinh,
Thân thường được an lạc,
Sống bình an vô sự,
Tâm an lạc trầm tĩnh.

5- Tất cả chúng sinh nào,
Phân chia thành hai nhóm:
Còn sợ và không sợ,
Thấy được và không thấy,
Ở gần và ở xa,
Ðã sanh và còn sanh,
Cả thảy chúng sinh ấy,
Cầu mong thân và tâm,
Thường được hưởng an lạc.

6- Tất cả chúng sinh nào,
Phân chia thành ba nhóm,
Có thân hình khác nhau:
Dài, ngắn và trung bình,
To, nhỏ và trung bình,
Mập, ốm và trung bình,
Cả thảy chúng sinh ấy,
Cầu mong thân và tâm,
Thường được hưởng an lạc.

7- Hành giả rải tâm từ,
Cầu mong mọi chúng sinh,
Không làm khổ lẫn nhau,
Niệm rải tâm từ rằng:
Xin cầu mong người này,
Không lừa đảo người kia.
Xin cầu mong người này,
Không khinh thường người kia.
Cầu mong mọi chúng sinh,
Không làm khổ lẫn nhau.

8- Tâm từ, tình thương yêu,
Với tất cả chúng sinh,
Như một người từ mẫu,
Thương yêu đứa con một,
Bảo vệ đứa con mình,
Bằng sanh mạng thế nào,
Hành giả rải tâm từ,
Vô lượng đến chúng sinh,
Cũng như thế ấy vậy.

9- Hành giả rải tâm từ,
Ðến tam giới chúng sinh,
Hướng trên: cõi vô sắc,
Gồm bốn cõi phạm thiên.
Hướng dưới: cõi dục giới,
Gồm có mười một cõi,
Trời, người và ác giới.
Hướng giữa: cõi sắc giới,
Gồm có mười sáu cõi.
Với tâm từ vô lượng,
Không oan trái hận thù.

10- Hành giả đang tiến hành,
Rải tâm từ vô lượng,
Ðứng, đi hoặc ngồi, nằm,
Tinh tấn không buồn ngủ,
Tâm an trú trong thiền,
Có tâm từ vô lượng,
Ðức Phật dạy bảo rằng:
"Hành giả sống cao thượng".

11- Thiền tâm từ nền tảng,
Tiếp tiến hành thiền tuệ,
Diệt tà kiến ngũ uẩn,
Thành bậc Thánh Nhập Lưu,
Giới trong sạch thanh tịnh,
Chứng đắc bậc Bất Lai.
Diệt tham ái ngũ trần,
Chứng đắc A-ra-hán,
Khi tịch diệt Niết Bàn,
Chấm dứt khổ tái sanh.

BÀI KINH KHANDHAPARITTASUTTA

Xuất xứ bài kinh Khandhasutta  [1]

Một thuở nọ, Ðức Thế Tôn ngự tại ngôi chùa Jetavana của ông phú hộ Anāthapiṇṇika gần kinh thành Sāvatthi. Khi ấy, có một vị Tỳ khưu bị rắn cắn chết trong kinh thành, chư Tỳ khưu đến hầu đảnh lễ Ðức Thế Tôn rồi bạch rằng:
- Kính bạch Ðức Thế Tôn, có một vị Tỳ khưu bị rắn cắn chết trong kinh thành này.
Ðức Thế Tôn dạy rằng:
- Này chư Tỳ khưu, chắc chắn vị Tỳ khưu ấy không niệm rải tâm từ đến dòng tộc 4 loài rắn chúa. Bởi vì, vị Tỳ khưu ấy không niệm rải tâm từ đến dòng tộc 4 loài rắn chúa, nên vị Tỳ khưu ấy bị rắn cắn chết.
Dòng tộc 4 loài rắn chúa là:
1- Dòng tộc rắn chúa tên Virūpakkha.
2- Dòng tộc rắn chúa tên Erāpatha.
3- Dòng tộc rắn chúa tên Chabyāputta.
4- Dòng tộc rắn chúa tên Kaṇhāgotama.
- Này chư Tỳ khưu, chắc chắn vị Tỳ khưu ấy không niệm rải tâm từ đến dòng tộc 4 loài rắn chúa ấy, nên mới bị rắn cắn chết. Nếu vị Tỳ khưu ấy tiến hành niệm rải tâm từ đến dòng tộc 4 loài rắn chúa ấy, thì vị Tỳ khưu ấy chắc chắn không bị rắn cắn chết.
Này chư Tỳ khưu, Như Lai thuyết dạy các con tiến hành niệm rải tâm từ đến dòng tộc 4 loài rắn chúa này, để giữ gìn mình, để bảo vệ mình không bị rắn cắn.

3- Rải tâm từ của tôi,
Ðến với dòng rắn chúa,

Các loại chúng sinh là:
Rắn, bò cạp, rít, nhện,

Các loài bò sát ấy,
Có tính hay hung dữ,
Xin đừng làm hại tôi.

8- Con đảnh lễ chư Phật,
Hiện tại đến quá khứ,
Gồm bảy Ðức Chánh Giác.
Tôi có nơi hộ trì,
Tôi có nơi bảo hộ,
Xin tất cả chúng sinh,
Tránh xa đừng hại tôi.

Hành giả niệm rải tâm từ đến tất cả muôn loài chúng sinh, cầu mong muôn loài chúng sinh không oan trái lẫn nhau, không làm khổ thân, khổ tâm lẫn nhau, cầu mong muôn loài chúng sinh đều giữ gìn thân tâm thường được an lạc. Với tâm từ vô lượng đến muôn loài chúng sinh làm nơi hộ trì, nơi bảo hộ an toàn cho chính mình, để tránh khỏi mọi tai hại nguy hiểm cho chính mình và cho tất cả mọi loài chúng sinh.
Hành giả còn có đức tin trong sạch nơi Ân Ðức Phật, Ân Ðức Pháp, Ân Ðức Tăng là nơi nương nhờ, nơi ẩn náu an toàn để tránh khỏi mọi điều rủi ro, tai hoạ.

She  Uttara  sure that:

Waiting for the king to come to rest at his castle for seven days, she told the king:
- Your Majesty, Your Majesty the Queen, and your girlfriend group, bring your mind outside, worship Gotama , no longer loyal to His Majesty.
