What is a profession? Vocational karma is the heaviest karma in a person's life. Oral karma is the good and bad karma that must be suffered by the cause of good and bad speech. The evil karma caused by lying, speaking evil words, saying embroidered words... all suffer heavy retribution. 1. What is a profession? Oral karma is the good and bad karma that must be suffered by the cause of good and bad speech. The evil karma caused by lying, speaking evil words, saying false words... all suffer heavy retribution and in the world, almost no one does not make this mistake! The mouth is the gateway to the body. Food enters the mouth, thereby nourishing the body. Words come from the mouth, thereby expressing what is nourished in the mind. The words spoken must be consistent with what is in the heart, so that others can distinguish right from wrong, right from wrong. If it doesn't, it will just be a crafty, unpredictable class. A person who specializes in trickery with people, and has not yet established any merit with his words, he has made many mistakes before. There are many failures in life due to words. The mouth cannot judge, only the mind is capable of thinking. The mouth is dictated by the mind, so telling a lie is the mouth, but the intention to tell a lie to deceive others is the mind. When people communicate but are not the same inside and out, it is not the fault of the mouth, but the heart itself. As long as you keep your mind clear and clear, your words will naturally no longer be deceitful. 2. The Buddha's words about oral karma The Buddha taught: "If ordinary people say something, they should say good words, not bad words. Saying good words is friendly, saying bad words brings trouble and frustration. Again in Honesty says: “If a person is abusive, insults and insults in all kinds of ways, he will receive retribution according to his words.” World people, encountering this unclean time, the easiest to create is oral karma. As before, people lie and deceive, cause people to misunderstand, cause countless sufferings to compete with each other, and hundreds of sorrows and sorrows all gather. Planting the factor of hopelessness, feeling the vile retribution. The hell of endless suffering adds red boiling water. The confusion of the law and the fact that it disturbs the truth are all due to false speech. The Dhammapada Sutra has a verse: “Orange and poison are all in the tongue of man Cam Lo is the truth Words become poison If one needs the taste of orange, he speaks the truth If one needs poison Then he speaks false words Poison does not determine death Echoes then the decision is not wrong If people speak false words Then they must say that people are dead Venom does not benefit themselves Nor benefits others If like myself and unhappy people Why should we speak false language If the evil person distinguishes Delight in false words Death falls into fire and knives Having to endure such sufferings Poisons are harmful though very cruel But only can kill a body The retribution of evil karma of false speech Causing hundreds of thousands of bodies to be destroyed." 3. Causality improvisational karma The old sages taught that: "Hearing about other people's faults is like hearing the names of your parents, you can only hear it, but your mouth cannot repeat it." How great! It is indeed the doctrine of the benevolent gentleman. The petty mediocrity often loves to hear other people's mistakes, and has the habit of spreading the word to many others, always saying that these are very certain things, authentic, even embellished. more wonderful, causing others to ruin the reputation. Those people, if they don't face disaster right in front of their eyes, punished by people or destroyed by the law of heaven in the underworld, they are rare! Small and subtle evils of course do not spread, and even less so great evils do not spread. The evil in men is not spread, and the evil in women is even less spread. One's own evils cannot, of course, be spread, and the evils of the ancestors of the family can't even be spread. In general, the greater the spread of bad reputation, the greater the merit of not spreading. Those who do not pay attention to the prevention of spreading evil deeds, all do not have the blessing of not spreading evil deeds. Confucius, when discussing the benefits of joy, said: "Joyful talk about the good deeds of others." "Talking about" means spreading the word to others, ie praising that good deed. It is difficult for people to say good things, and it is difficult to do good deeds. If we see a good and virtuous thing, we should praise it and spread it, surely the person who does it will be even more diligent in doing it. That means we have done good deeds with people. Therefore, good deeds in the sages can promote and develop good customs; Good deeds in the village can wake up the wayward and stupid people. The essential place to be able to achieve such results is through praise and praise, not allowing the good intentions of others to be obscured and forgotten. Sins such as slandering the Three Jewels, denying cause and effect, killing fathers, killing mothers, and killing Arahants are all among the heaviest sins, because these sins cut off the good roots and obscure wisdom. other people. When secular people see other people making offerings to monks and nuns, saying things to prevent them, there are usually two reasons: One is a harsh nature, only knows how to criticize and mock others but consider it good. Giang, talented; Second, I'm confused and don't know what's happened in the past life, so I don't know that the Three Jewels are the world's great field of merit. 4. Oral karma is the heaviest karma in the life of the Buddha, who teaches as a wise person who knows how to cultivate his mouth, cultivate his mind, both to avoid the bad market and to avoid losing the blessing. This is the important philosophy of being human. How are our children suffering from "evil karma" because of our "evil speech"? Many parents do not know that they can "switch" their children with their own everyday words. The words of parents have great constructive or destructive power to the development and future of children, of which the story below is an example. There is a smart and gentle woman. She has a daughter whom she has always loved and cherished. One night, coming home from work after a bad day, both tired and stressed, she just wanted a quiet and gentle rest, but girls are very happy dancing, singing and dancing. She doesn't know what kind of mood her mother is in, she's just living in the world, in her own dream. The little girl became more and more excited, the more she danced, the more she sang, and showed her joy to her mother. The little girl sang so loudly that it gave her mother even more headaches and at that moment, she lost control. Enraged, she looked at her beautiful daughter and said, “Shut up! I sing so bad. I'm going to go help mom!". In fact, by that time the mother could no longer tolerate any noise; Not because her daughter can't sing well. But the girl then trusted her mother's words and from there she formed an agreement with herself. Everything has changed since then for her because of that agreement. She believes that she must control her emotions in order to be accepted and loved. The girl no longer sings, because she believes her voice sounds bad and bothers listeners. She gradually became timid when going to school, if invited to sing, she also refused. Even talking to other people gradually became difficult for her. When she grew up, although she had a very good voice, she never sang again. An invisible "magic" had turned into an invisible yoke for her. And this "magic" is also imposed by the mother - who loves the little girl the most. The girl's mother did not even realize what consequences she had caused her child with her unintentional words. She didn't realize she had cast "dark magic" on her daughter. She didn't realize the power of her words. Similar to the story above, every day, whenever we hear an opinion from others and accept it, if we all agree with it in our hearts, make it part of our "belief". ta. And that "faith" does not always give us strength, even conversely, it can kill all hope in us. Don't make excuses "I'm very straightforward, why do I say that" to hurt others Words of mouth are extremely important in life. It is the condition, the first factor to evaluate a person. In Vietnam, since ancient times, this issue has always been highly valued. No wonder there is a proverb: "Speech does not cost money to buy / Choose words to please each other", although many people when using words that do not or hurt others argue that it is because of integrity. : "I'm very frank, why say that?" From the perspective of Buddhism, the Buddha taught that of the ten human karmas, of which the mouth has taken up nearly half of it. Even though the wealth is as big as a mountain, the mouth that has been eaten for a long time will also run out. Blessings, though hard work, create many lives, but due to the mouth creating karma, criticizing, criticizing, saying bad words, it can be destroyed in a moment. In the Buddhist teachings, there is a story about the city of Shravasti, there was a rich man who worshiped Buddhism by the name of Shizhi. One day, he prepared a lot of delicious food, respectfully worshiped the Buddha and the monks. After receiving the ceremony, the Buddha led the monks back to the vihara. Halfway through, when the Buddha and the monks stopped to rest under a big tree by the lake, suddenly a monkey jumped down from the tree and asked to borrow the bowl in Buddha's hand. After accepting the bowl from the Buddha and quickly leaving, It only took a moment to see it come back. It reverently offered a bowl filled with honey to the Buddha. Buddha received a bowl of honey, divided equally among the monks so that the monkey could receive more blessings. Monkeys see that, enjoy dancing around. Some time later, the dead monkey was reincarnated as a human, born into the Shizhi family. When this baby was born, every dish in the house was filled with honey. Shizhi's wife was surprised, so she named the child Mat Thang. Time passed quickly, and soon Mat Thang became an adult. He was disgusted with the mundane world, so he asked his parents to allow him to become a monk. After receiving permission from his parents, Mat Thang went to the monastery to take refuge in the Buddha's door. Due to the goodwill from his previous life, he quickly cultivated to the right fruit. Once, on the way out to meet other monks, Everyone felt thirsty, their throats were dry, and everyone wanted a drink. At this time, Venerable Mat Thang immediately threw his empty bowl into the sky. When his hands reached out to welcome him, the bowl was filled with delicious fresh honey water. Mi Thang immediately gave it to other monks to quench his thirst. When returning to the vihara, a monk asked the Buddha: "In the past, what kind of blessings did Mat Thang cultivate? Why is it so easy to beg for honey all the time?” The Buddha replied: "Do you remember a long time ago, a monkey borrowed a bowl full of honey to offer to the Buddha and the monks? Because of that goodwill, when he died he was reincarnated as a human, and because that person was sincere and offered honey water, now he can get honey at any time.” After hearing the Buddha's words, the monks asked again: "Dear Buddha, So, why was Mat Thang's previous life exiled as a monkey?" At this time, many disciples surrounded the Buddha, the Buddha looked at the monks one by one, and slowly said: "Mat Thang was banished to the monkey life, which was 500 years ago. At that time, a young monk, by chance seeing another monk jumping over a small stream, laughed and said that he looked like a monkey, so he committed the crime of speech and was exiled. do monkey life. Then that monk realized his sin, repented with the other monk so as not to be sent to hell to bear the guilt. Also because of that predestined relationship, the monkey can meet the Buddha, and this life will quickly become the right result." After listening to the Buddha's words, all the monks understood that even a single word of bad speech can cause karma and retribution later on. When teaching about Buddhist ethics, Monks and nuns often refer to the Buddha's 18 advices on how to behave in daily life in order to reflect and bring many good things to themselves and others. That is: Small things are said with humor so that the listener does not feel rigid and heavy and accepts your prompts happily; If you don't understand it, say it carefully; Things have not happened, should not say miscellaneous; Do not say things that hurt others; For heartbreaking things, don't talk to everyone; In the affairs of others, you should be careful in your words; Your own business, listen to how others say; Children's stories, it is necessary to speak clearly; Don't say dejected words, dispirit; Do not say angry words; Do not say reproachful words; Do not say hurtful words; Do not speak secret words; Do not speak personal words; Don't tell lies. Life will be happier and more meaningful if each person knows how to tolerate and control their own negative emotions and words. To wake up every morning, relax, smile and give sincere and loving words to everyone... 5. Vocabulary retribution "Hokou Sutra" states: "There is a hungry ghost with an evil body, looks like a snail, everyone is scared. The body is on fire. The mouth is full of worms and worms, the whole body is full of blood and pus, the smell is strong, no one dares to come near. The mouth spits out fire, the body is burned by the fire, cries and cries, and runs around. At that time, Manchus Arhat asked the hungry ghost: What crime did you commit in the past, that you now have to suffer like this? The ghost replied: - In my past life, I worked as a monk, did not hold a position, spoke harshly, lived greedily, and did not know how to let go. Whenever he sees someone who keeps the precepts diligently, he scolds, insults, maliciously glances at him, but relies on himself to be rich and strong, thinking that he will live a long life and not die, so he creates countless crimes. Now that I think about it, even repenting can't redeem the past mistakes. Therefore, it is better to commit to suffering, holding a sharp knife to cut your tongue from life to life, but absolutely should not slander people's good deeds! I hope you return to the Saha realm and tell me about my retribution and terrible condition to teach monks and Buddhists, warn them to be careful with their speech and not to casually say bad words. Whether you see a person keeping the precepts or not, you should only talk about his good qualities. I have been a hungry ghost for thousands of lifetimes, suffering enough day and night. If you finish this retribution, you must go to hell. After speaking, the hungry ghost burst into tears and fell to the ground like Thai Son fell. Nowadays, when the masses hear such teachings, it is very scary. Just because of the fault of the mouth that carries many sins for many lives, let alone how many other crimes? Discharge of body, life and body constantly suffer, all due to their evil karma created. If there is no cause, there is no consequence. Having sown a cause, you must reap the fruit. Never seen anyone practicing lethargy and being lazily liberated. On the contrary, those who diligently practice diligently and carefully practice, receive immeasurable merit and virtue. The masses should be ashamed, purify their body and mind, and repent of their old sins. The old sins are gone, if you don't commit any more new sins, you will be praised by the Buddhas. From now on, if you see someone doing good, don't talk about success or failure. Even if they only do good in one thought, one hour, one moment, one day, one month, half a year or a year is better than not doing it. That's why the Lotus Sutra teaches: "If someone wanders into a temple tower and recites a single sentence Namo Buddha, they will all attain Buddhahood." What's more, a person who develops a great mind, diligently cultivates merit and virtue, but does not rejoice, is very pitiful. From beginningless time to the present, we must have had immeasurable malice to obstruct people's good deeds. Why know? Because if not, then why is it that most of our good deeds today are difficult: I am not good at cultivating meditation and wisdom. Whenever he bowed a little, he complained of suffering, and when he reached the sutra, he became bored. The whole day is full of evil karma, making it impossible to free.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST DHARMA-EYE TEMPLE IN USA.GOLDEN ZEN BUDDHIST MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUNS=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH AND A BUDDHIST NUNERRY FROM INDIA SAKYA CLAN TAM DUYEN.( MASTER DEGREE OF BUDDHIST STUDY IN NEW DELI INDIA 16 YEARS OF STUDY ).AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.23/6/2023.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY= VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
