KEEP YOUR MIND CLEAN. Once the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, in Anathapindika's garden. At that time the Blessed One called to the monks: Monks, like a dirty cloth, contaminated with dust, the dyer dips the cloth in blue, yellow or red dyes... it will be dyed poorly. nice, not clean. Why? Because the cloth is not clean, bhikkhus. Likewise, bhikkhus, the evil realm awaits an impure mind. Monks, like a pure, clean cloth, the dyer dips that cloth in blue, yellow or red dyes... it will be dyed well and clean. Why? Because the cloth is clean, bhikkhus. In the same way, bhikkhus, the good realm awaits an unstained mind. DISCLAIMER: People who live in this world are precious in their hearts, in their hearts because "the other heart is equal to three words of talent". In practice, keeping the mind pure is even more important because "mind masters all things" or "necessarily creates only mind". Therefore, watch our mind now as good or evil, good or bad, noble or low... to make sure we will accept a future suffering or pleasure in accordance with those types of consciousness. According to the wisdom of the World-Honored One, our mind is like a cloth and we are also a dyer, dyeing our lives with many colors of right and wrong in the present life. Everyone wants their mind to be like a white canvas to paint pictures with the desired colors, but in reality, the harsh life has more or less stained people's hearts, covered with dust. When awakened, enlightened to the truth of life and people, vowed to return to cleanse the body and mind, only to find that our mind is really a dirty cloth, stained with greed, hatred... and almost mourning. fraying. However, no matter how dirty the cloth of the heart is, it was originally clean and no matter how densely stained with dust, it can still be washed. The question is, do we have the determination and effort to erase and clean the fabric of our mind? It is persistence, single-mindedness in transforming the mind in a good direction that will make our mind pure and pure. Only when our mind is as pure as a clean cloth can we dye it with a good color, like him, and at the same time a good future awaits us. On the contrary, if we do not try to transform to purify our mind, then surely in the present and in the future we will not be able to do what we want because cause and effect are inherently inseparable. Practice is the cleansing and cleansing of the body and mind. Each individual himself will color his life, no one can do it for him. Therefore, practicing good things to keep the mind clean is always the duty and responsibility of every child of the Buddha.L WRONG THINKING Once, a monk lived among the Kosala people, in a forest. At that time, that bhikkhu, while thinking during the day, gave rise to evil and unwholesome thoughts, such as sensual thoughts, ill thoughts, and harmful thoughts. Then the deity dwelling in that forest, out of pity, out of desire for benefit, to be vigilant, went and uttered a verse to the bhikkhu: "You have unrighteous intentions/ You should indulge in thinking/ Abandon any Righteous Thoughts/ Relying on the Buddha Dharma Sangha/ Keeping the precepts, not turning back/ You will surely attain/ Joy and joy/ With great joy/ You put an end to suffering.” That bhikkhu, after being alerted by the deity, was deeply moved. DISCLAIMER: When developing the mind to practice and study, it is important to vow to transform and sublimate the three karmas of body, speech, and mind. Righteousness in words and actions is inherently difficult, but integrity in thinking and contemplation is even more difficult. Although the mind is difficult to master, it cannot be given up, because right thinking will be the foundation for right speech and action. The interesting thing is that our words and actions, others can observe, evaluate and comment, but our minds can only know for themselves. Except for Buddhas, bodhisattvas, gods and myself, no one knows what we're thinking. Although thinking is "just me and me", it still creates karma and mind karma. When thinking is not righteous and wrong, greed, hatred, and delusion, the three evil karmas of the mind arise, clouding the life of pure karma. In order to keep the mind straight and holy, Buddhists always aim for Right Thought. Always thinking about good things to benefit themselves and others, constantly thinking about the Dharma, the Buddha's deeds, Bodhisattvas and high monks to follow. In addition, it should be remembered that all the secret things in our minds are well known to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Devas, Dharma Protectors, and demons. Therefore, in order to receive their protection and remembrance, cultivators need to purify their thoughts with shame and self-blame, and bring their minds to the right path of thinking. When the mind reaches clarity and purity, the mind will be pure. Deep and correct contemplation will orient words and deeds to be in harmony with good. On the contrary, evil and unrighteous thoughts towards ambition and harm will lead people to the evil path. Therefore, it is necessary to self-correct and adjust oneself starting from the foundation of right thinking.L CRAZY IDEA Once, the Blessed One was staying in Sàvatthi, teaching the monks: "Monks, there are four crazy thoughts. island, crazy mind, crazy ant this island. how is four? In impermanence, think is common; in suffering, thinking is not suffering; in no-self, thinking is self; In impurity, thinking is pure, bhikkhus, these are the four perversions of perception, perversion of mind, and perversion of view. There are, bhikkhus, these four non-perversion of perception, non-perversion of mind, and non-perversion of view. how is four? In impermanence, thinking is impermanent; in suffering, thinking is suffering; in no-self, thinking is not-self; In impurity, thinking is impure, bhikkhus, these are the four thoughts that are not perverted, the mind not perverted, and views not perverted. DISCLAIMER: Buddhists often refer to the issue of wisdom, which is the true perception of the dharmas. The truth about how the body, mind, and world are perceived as they are. Seeing and knowing like this is called wisdom or "perception is not perverted, mind is not perverted, and views are not perverted". Impermanence is change, change and not be qualitative in all things, phenomena. Nothing is fixed and stationary, they themselves are changing from moment to moment. Seeing that, we will establish balance. All gains and losses, more and more losses, joys and sorrows, honors and humiliations, and ups and downs in life will not affect and influence us much, so that we can be at peace. Suffering with many different forms and undesirable things always surrounds human life. No one lives in the world completely satisfied, without suffering. Realize this to accept reality, find a way to escape and especially not to take pleasure in suffering by hiding in pleasures and passions. Sentient beings and all dharmas are inherently dependent on causes and conditions. Therefore, there is no ego, self, or existence of a single, unchanging entity. Clinging to and clinging to self is the source of all disputes, suffering, and confusion. This body and mind are inherently impure and polluted, always tinged with lust. But we can also purify ourselves, making the three karmas of body, speech, and mind become pure. It all starts with the mind, if the animal direction towards impurity and defilement is the source of suffering, the opposite direction towards purity and impurity is the basis of happiness. Most of our suffering is due to wrong perception, perverted delusion, in other words due to ignorance, wrong perception of illusions that are true. Cultivation is to develop insight to realize the truth about impermanence, suffering and not-self of all things in order to live selflessly, altruistically and transform afflictions, mastering oneself in the face of countless fluctuations of life. Pride At one time the Blessed One was at Alavi, at Gomagga, in the Simsapà forest, teaching the bhikkhus: Monks, There are three conceited, how is the three? The arrogance of youth, the arrogance of not being ill, the arrogance of life. Drunk in the arrogance of youth, bhikkhus, the uneducated ordinary man commits evil deeds of body, speech, and mind. By doing these evil deeds, after death, one will be reborn in the bad realms, in the lower realms, in hell. Drunk in the conceit of not being sick, bhikkhus, an uneducated ordinary person engages in evil actions of body, speech, and mind. By doing these evil deeds, after death, one will be reborn in the bad realms, in the lower realms, in hell. Drunk in the pride of life, bhikkhus, the uneducated ordinary man commits evil actions in body, speech, and mind. By doing these evil deeds, after death, one will be reborn in the bad realms, in the lower realms, in hell. Bhikkhus, drunk with the pride of youth, of freedom from illness, of life, a bhikkhu abandons his study of the Dharma and returns to the worldly life. DISCLAIMER: Pride is conceit, contempt for others, a kind of mentality that is quite common among those who have a bit of luck and success. In real life, it is common for "blesseds not to overlap, harm to be single-minded". Therefore, having a little success is actually something to be proud of, but don't be too proud, arrogant, drunk, and sleep in the yeast of victory because tomorrow is still a question that haunts people's lives. . For young people, their advantages are dynamism, dare to think and dare to do, but young people are often subjective, relying on youth, so sometimes they become shallow. Complacency and overactivity easily lead to rebellious behavior, creating negative karma. The truth is that no one is forever young, youth is only for a while, innocent but clumsy, and then when youth passes, it leaves unpredictable consequences, personal feelings of a lifetime. People with good health, few diseases are a great blessing. Having health is possible to have everything, but human strength gradually declines over the years until it becomes "powerless". Only after an illness will make us more mature with wishful thinking and the sky filling the sea, awakening the dream of the sea. Life is the same, there is and it is not, birth and death do not meet, because human life is fragile just in the breath. Therefore, the awareness that we will die, although somewhat bleak, slightly pessimistic, but that truth will help a lot for a true life, appreciate life, do what needs to be done right away. Suffering in life has many causes, but comes from pride in youth, health and life account for no small part. Humility is the cure for arrogance. Being humble, polite, knowing that you know yourself, knowing how to live happily, not being arrogant, Conceit to not create negative karma is a manifestation of wisdom. Therefore, often practicing humility, practicing the conduct of "often disdain" to eradicate pride is the must-do of all Buddha's children. NEW AND OLD CAREER Once the Blessed One was among the Sakka people, in the town. Devadaha. There the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus: "Bhikkhus, I will speak of new and old kamma, the cessation of kamma, the way leading to the cessation of kamma. Listen and reflect carefully. What, bhikkhus, is old kamma? The eye, which must be contemplated, is old karma, created, thought, and felt. Ear, Nose, Tongue, Body, and Mind should be contemplated as old kamma, created, thought, and felt. This, bhikkhus, is called old kamma. And what, bhikkhus, is new kamma? Now what do you do with your body, with your speech, or with your mind? Hey monks, This is called new karma. What is the cessation of karma? This, bhikkhus, is the cessation of bodily kamma, speech kamma, and mental kamma. What, bhikkhus, is the way leading to the cessation of karma? This is the Noble Eightfold Path. Thus, bhikkhus, I have spoken of old kamma and new kamma, have taught the cessation of kamma, and have taught the way leading to the cessation of kamma. DISCLAIMER: Each person exists in this world with characteristics, especially due to karma. At the same time, in every moment of our lives, we are weaving karma for ourselves by the creation of body, mouth, and mind. The karma created back affects oneself in the present and in the future. As a result, human life is governed by a cycle of karma. Karma has many different types and properties. In this discourse, The Blessed One pointed out two basic types of kamma, old kamma and new kamma. The six senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind) or in other words we humans are old karma. The reason is called old karma because it is the most honest inheritance of one's own karma that has been planted in the past. Therefore, the tall and short shape, the beautiful and ugly face... of each individual are determined by the old karma. However, it is the creation of those six senses when conditioned with the six sense objects and the six consciousnesses that create new karma. Body, mouth, and mind always create ten wholesome or unwholesome karmas all starting from the agitation of these six senses. Right here, we see clearly that it is very important that karma can be transformed, changed, and terminated. If you can establish mindfulness, gradually mastering the senses, then new karma will form in a good and positive direction. It was the first step in the career transition. To end karma ie to purify the three karmas of body, speech and mind are also from the six senses. When mindfulness is permanent, the six senses are fully mastered, then new karma will be destroyed. There are many ways to reach the end of karma, the most basic is the practice of the Noble Eightfold Path and this is also the practice for all Buddhists who aim for pure karma and liberation. Venerable resides in Sàvatthi, in Mr. Anathapindika's garden. Then a deity went to pay homage, and after paying homage, said to the Blessed One: Venerable sir, how did you get out of the flood? O sage, do not stand still, do not step forward, I am beyond the flood. Venerable Sir, how can you not stand still, not step forward, you are beyond the flood? Hey sage, when I stand still, my time sinks; when I come, My time drifts away. Therefore, sage, without standing still, without stepping forward, I am beyond the flood. The Angel replied: A long time ago, I saw / Brahmin is still / Not standing, not walking / Overcoming attachments in life. DISCLAIMER: Who has ever been committed to exploring and conquering nature, has once wondered before the dangerous rapids, the roaring whirlpools (flooding), thinking how to overcome it without being submerged or swept away? Likewise, facing the vortex of life with countless temptations and pitfalls, happiness and suffering, gain and loss, love and hatred..., people are also struggling, we have to overcome it by any? A big question for not only humans, but also Gods, are puzzled and confused. The Blessed One crossed that vortex of birth and death, passing it on to posterity with his bloody experience: to overcome the vortex of life is not to stand still and not to step forward, i.e. to the other shore. The thing is that if you don't stop, walk, and if you don't step forward, stand, If you don't walk or stand, how do you get to the other shore? Yet, the Blessed One and his noble disciples did it. Of course, overcoming life's rapids is much more difficult than natural rapids, so the technique is also more special. Do not stand because if you stand, you will be immediately submerged. Standing still is clinging, clinging, but how can you cling when everything is flowing? Tied up, bound to drown. Do not step forward because if you step forward, you will be swept away. Step forward is to sink first, run after the wrong use of desire, but the desires of sentient beings are endless, there is no shore. The vortex of lust will sweep everything away, ready to step on everything, including humanity. A life of turmoil mixed with sadness and joy, success and failure... then leaving with bare hands and not knowing where to go is not drifting? So that, The Buddhist disciple cautiously crosses the whirlpool of life with sobriety, clearly seeing the illusory nature of life. Not clinging, not infatuated with everything and so on, to the other shore.L SET YOUR MIND IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION Once the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, Anàthapindika's garden, teaching the monks: For example, Monks, the beard of wheat, or the beard of barley, put in the wrong direction, when pressed on by a hand or foot, can pierce a hand or foot, or may shed blood; this is not happening. Why why? Because, bhikkhus, the beard is misdirected. Also, the Male stilts, the Male stilts with the mind is placed in the wrong direction, can pierce ignorance, make clear arising, can achieve Nirvana; this is not happening. Why why? Because, bhikkhus, the mind is misdirected. Like, bhikkhus, the whiskers of wheat, or the filament of barley is placed in the right direction, which, when pressed by a hand or foot, may puncture an arm or leg, or may cause bloodshed; this happened. Why why? Because, bhikkhus, the beard is placed in the right direction. Likewise, the Male-stilts, the Male stilts with the mind set in the right direction, can pierce ignorance, make clear arising, can attain Nirvana; this can happen. Why why? Because the mind is set in the right direction, bhikkhus. DISCLAIMER: Many people think that spiritual practice is in the mind, in other words, cultivating the mind. But the human mind is diverse, "public is first, but sin is first", so you should know which mind to cultivate. According to the experience of the World-Honored One, although the mind is cultivated, the mind must be placed in the right direction to be able to penetrate ignorance, achieve insight, and attain Nirvana. One of the characteristics of the mind is displacement, change very quickly, like an ape passing branches, like a horse galloping in a meadow. The mind changes, arises and dies in each moment, so it is not easy to direct the mind and keep it in good dharma. Usually, everyone is diligent at first, enthusiastically practicing, but later on, they just relax, gradually become lazy and many people lose their mind. Like a large tree, any direction the branches and leaves are inclined to, when it is sawed, it will surely fall in that direction. Like the whiskers of a grain of wheat, the right direction can pierce the foot. In the same way, our mind must be inclined towards liberation in order to direct our life towards peace. Our mind must be oriented towards insight to be able to break through ignorance. Therefore, the cultivator's mind must always turn to and abide in the Dharma in order to achieve the path of karma. Today, although there are many cultivators, there are not many people who have achieved religious career. So "putting the mind in the right direction" is also one of the important issues that every Buddhist person needs to ponder and adjust to overcome defilements, spiritually sublimate, achieve liberation, and Nirvana. QUALITY Once the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, Anàthapindika's garden. There the World-Honored One called to the bhikkhus: "Bhikkhus, it is like a clear lake, undisturbed. There, a person standing on the shore, can see snails, shellfish, pebbles, schools of fish passing through the water. Why why? Because the water is not turbid. In the same way, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu with an undisturbed mind, knowing his own interests and those of others, or knowing the interests of both, will realize superior human dharmas, knowledge and understanding. victory of the Saints; Such events may occur. Hey monks, why? Because the mind is not disturbed. DISCLAIMER: Purifying the mind, keeping the mindfulness clear and pure are the basic foundations of Buddhist meditation methods. Thanks to the practice of cultivating silence for the soul, people are more alert, lucid and behave more rationally in the face of all life's fluctuations. Our mind is like a lake with many different states, sometimes it is calm and clear like crystal, sometimes it is turbid and boiling, and the rest is ripples and ripples. One thing that everyone has experienced is that the more inner peace and serenity, the greater our self-control and the higher our ability to overcome temptation and anger. When the mind is quiet, the trivial calculations and worries of everyday life temporarily drop, then we will feel deeply about peace. This is the most precious opportunity for us to look at ourselves, see clearly who we are? Because the mind is not disturbed by greed, hatred, and delusion, the practitioner "knows his own interests and knows the interests of others or knows the interests of both", which we normally only know about ourselves. Therefore, no matter how busy we are every day, we must take some time to settle our souls. It is possible to purify the body and mind by zazen, chanting, worshiping the Buddha, reciting the Buddha's name, meditating or walking, enjoying art, drinking tea... with a relaxed mind, mindful awareness. Regular practice of the above methods to purify the mind, not only helps the mind to relax and rest, but also cultivates good intentions and, if met with good conditions, can sublimate into purity and liberation.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).PHAP NHAN VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST TEMPLE.GOLDEN ZEN BUDDHIST MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.20/6/2023.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
