Abandon consciousness, Use base.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.

The Shurangama Sutra teaches us to abandon the Consciousness, which is the sixth method, but use Dieu Quan Sat, leaving the seventh consciousness to use Binh Dang Tanh, which is called  "Abstaining from consciousness, and using Can" . Abandoning the sixth and seventh awakening, you will see the eyes of Sac because of the Tanh and seeing the Tanh. That is called "intelligent mind and nature". Knowledge will be mindful. You see the outer identity, so called the nature. Using Tanh Listening to hear Thanh Tanh, Tanh Listening is also intelligent, listening to Thanh Tanh is also called Tanh. Minh mind, Tanh, Tanh Tanh into Buddha!

 "Tanh"  is the nature, the level of meaning of these two sentences is quite deep. "The realm"  is the six outer ceilings, the interior is the base and the hexagon. All these things belong to the realm. While our base is exposed to six ceilings, you can see the realm of goodness.

"How to leave the Awakening to use the Ground?" This is a certain morality. How can we see Crisp? You use Tanh See to see Tanh Tanh, use Tanh Listening to hear Thanh Tanh. Those things are not called bare green, but they are called green colors. Zen family said  "intelligent mind and nature" is about this realm. Mindfulness is sincere (sincere mind), ie one-pointedness.

You must understand: One-mindedness is intelligent, dual-mindedness is ignorance, being delusional is not intelligent. One-pointedness is intelligent; Therefore, one-pointedly, seeing the Outer identity, will see the Tanh, not the Sac. What is identity? Tran means pollution; emptiness. Using one mind to listen, will listen to Thanh Tanh, not the ceiling. As long as you can use one-mindedness, the green continent turns into green, greenness is one-pointed. Therefore, called intelligent mind,  "lead the current"  is the nature. Tanh is the  "self-defeating method"  (using milk to nourish us),

"Return one-pointedly": It is based on a cleverness that divides into six harmonious things, now turning back to the six harmonious things that return to a clarity.

These are quotes from the Shurangama Sutra. "Most intelligent"  is your own unity,  "harmony" is six bases. Your mind from the six bases initiates six different effects, where the eye is called to see, where the ear is to listen, where the nose is to smell, where the tongue is to taste; in fact, they are all effects of single-mindedness. If you don't understand this meaning, then we will give you an example to understand! For example, the electricity from a power plant is one, nothing is different, but the electricity in the place where the light is shining. The lamp is an instrument, it acts as light. In a voice recorder, electricity makes our sound recorders. At the electric heater, it radiates heat. Depending on different objects, the power is different. Although the starting effect is different, but it is an electric current, absolutely can not say electricity is shining and electricity where the recorder is two things, not one! There is no morality!

The effect of our six bases is indeed one, not two, it is true. Our eyes are like lights, ears like recording machines, electric currents start at those places. Therefore, it is said to be  "the most pure and primitive, divided into continent" , at six bases of six different effects; however, there are six different effects, but they must be completely unanimous.
