3. THE INTERVENTION
OF BUDDHISM AND EDUCATION
OF BUDDHISM AND EDUCATION
TWhen Buddhism came into being, the religious tradition in India had a karmic view, namely the Jainism. Then how are the karmic and jinn karmic views different, this is the point where we need to distinguish clearly, to avoid misunderstanding between two different religions. Kachin is one of the six Indian philosophical schools. In the Buddhist scriptures it is called the Nigantha-nata-putta, which later developed into Jainism. A very popular religion in the time of the Buddha. The teachings that human beings are not liberated by the bond of karma, human beings want to be liberated enlightenment, need to eliminate karma, by practicing asceticism. In fact, this thought is inherited Brahmanical thought. Ni baby born in the class of Satisfaction,[1] . The point of view of Buddhism and Buddhism are two different views, if not two conflicting views.
In the "Majjhima Nikaya", "Cula dukkha kkhandha suttam" [2] . Nuns have expressed their views as follows:
"If you have done bad kamma in the past, let it be eradicated by this severe anguish ... Thus, it is through the burning, the cessation of karma in the past, the failure to make new karma. , so there is no continuation in the future ... ".
This is the view of the practice of the United States. They argue that asceticism is a means to destroy the negative karma that man has created in the past. It is through the practice of asceticism can burn the evil karma, the basic condition for human happiness, reaching the realm of enlightenment liberation. They said that happiness can not achieve happiness only suffering to achieve happiness, as saying:
"Happiness can not be achieved through happiness, happiness must be achieved through suffering." Gotama sage, if happiness can be achieved through the happiness of King Magadha Seniya Bimbisara (Qin she can) and Magadha Seniya Bimbisara is happier than Gotama. " [3]
Through these two passages, we find that the practice of the Jain teachings is ascetic practice, the reason they give this view, because only the ascetic practice can eradicate evil deeds. In the past, the only condition for achieving enlightenment liberation, that is why they make the argument, happiness can not be achieved by happiness, happiness can only be achieved through suffering. Because if happiness can be achieved through the happiness of Magadha Seniya Bimbisara, she can attain happiness.
The Buddha does not advocate the happiness achieved through ascetic practices, or happiness through happiness, is the enjoyment of material things in the world. The Buddha said that man can only attain happiness and liberation, when he attains enlightenment, attains meditation and attains wisdom.Gender is the basic condition for one to master the low desires of the world; Meditation is the method of training the mind to let go of the lung, because the mind let go of the lung is not a condition for birth defilement; Wisdom is the result of the attainment of precepts and meditation, the ability to distinguish between akusala and kusala. Dhamma is the cause of suffering for man, the obstacle to the way of liberation, the good is the legal means to help people achieve liberation, through the role of wisdom, practitioners are not bad law practice, Practical Dharma. Therefore, he is liberated enlightenment.
Derived from such a view, so the Buddha does not accept the ascetic practice, but he also does not accept the life of enjoying desire, as ascetic and enjoyment of desire only bring suffering, no What are the benefits to realizing the path of liberation? [4] This is a different view of the method of practice between the Buddha and Jainism, but what causes other practices?
To answer this question, we base the "Sutra of Suffering" [5] narrating the story of the Buddha and his followers, presenting the viewpoints of karmic differences as follows:
- The Sun asked: According to the policy of the nihilist, how many punishments (karma) to not work on karma, not to create karma?
- Ni said: Dear Professor, according to my teacher teaching, there are three penalties to not work on karma, not to create karma. It is the punishment of the body, the mouth and the mind.
- The Blessed One further: What difference is there between the penalties, punishments and penalties?
- Ni said: Dear Cucumis, according to us, these three penalties are not the same.
- The next question: In these three penalties, what penalty is considered important?
Dear Buddhist, According to our teacher, the body is considered important ... the penalty is considered the lightest.
After presenting his point of view, the nuns asked the Buddha.
- How do you talk about how many punishments do not act evil, do not make bad karma?
- This Ni disciples, I do not lecture on the penalty to not work on karma, not create negative karma. I just lectured on karma to not work on karma, not to create karma.
- Ni asked: According to slaughter How much do you say karma?
- The Sun replied: We advocate three karma to not work on evil, not to create karma. It is the body, the speech and the mind.
- Buddhist students asked: What is the difference between these three karmas?
- The Sun replied: These three industries are different.
- Buddhist disciples asked: According to sa dam in these three karmas, which industry is considered important?
- The Buddha said: In these three karmas, karma is considered the most important karma.
The dialogue between the nuns and the Buddha, is the dialogue that speaks out about the difference in karma. Here, we see, the nuns describe the act of evil deed, which does not use the word "karma", which uses the word "punishment", for advocating the practice of ascetic to destroy the negative about body, speech and mind, the reason for using this word is probably to emphasize asceticism. In contrast to the description of the act of creating this evil, the Buddha did not use the word "punishment" but the word "karma". In fact, these two concepts, although different in terms of the use of words, but the same in terms of meaning.
One important point that we should note here is that, in the three karmic directions, karma is the most important kamma, but the Buddha said that in the three karmas, karma is karma. . The karmic principle of karma is important, so the sect adopts the ascetic practice as a method of practice to eradicate the negative karma in the past, which is the condition to be liberated from enlightenment. On the contrary, the Buddha advocated in three karmas, karma is important, because he said that karma is the master of all actions, a conscious act can not be karma.
In other words, all the wrong behaviors in our lives are directed by the mind, so people want to correct their actions, first to change the wrong perception from the side. The wrong modification of consciousness is the basic condition for us to attain the path of enlightenment. Thus, the physical abuse, not the change of false perception, is the useless torment which does not help the enlightenment and the release of suffering. This is a different view of karma between Buddhism and Jainism.
