Kuru people.

Kuru people are known prominently through the Four Noble Truths or the Four Noble Truths. Here the Buddha used the word Bhikkhu (bhikkhu) when teaching the four foundations of mindfulness to the people here because they considered the practitioners on the path of liberation. The famous Kuru people at the time of the Buddha are not offerings, prostrations, statues or temples, they are famous for meditation. The Buddha came here to teach, to instruct a meditator to see the truth in the body, in the cardinal, in the heart, in FRANCE, without any argument put out. The truth needs to be entered and realized in the mind and body of the meditator. The Buddha also confirmed the witness guarantee from 7 days to 7 years at that time. Here the Buddha made the following statement:"This is the highest path to the net for beings, beyond the melancholy, eradicate suffering, achieve the right mind, realize Nirvana . He called people in the municipality of Kammassadhamma (capital of Kuru)  Bhikkhu  . This is the first time that the Buddha has extended the meaning of bhikkhus not only as a monk to live without a family, but also open to any practitioner practicing the four foundations of mindfulness called the monks. Buddhism has many levels of liberation for all sentient beings, but to reach ultimate purity, complete liberation from all suffering, only the highest path is the four foundations of mindfulness. See and Know are invited to introduce the lecture of Kuru to the readers of the two famous Zen master  Usilananda  and Mr.  Goenka .
Land of Kuru
"Kuru": Kuru is the name of a county or a small country in India. According to Paa.li, Kuru must write in plural form. Originally, "Kuru" was the name of the first inhabitants of this country. Later this name is used to indicate a country, the plural also remain the same. Therefore, although only one county, Paa.li requires plural, so the Pa.li language is Kurusu (Kuru).
"In the land of Kuru, there is a town called Kammasadamma." The reason the town is called Kammasadamma is because this place of the karmic-minded king named Kammasapada (pinned leg) was tamed into an honest king. . Some people like to write as Kammaasa-dhamma, explaining that the town is so named because the Kurds have a good tradition of dhamma practice (kammaasa).
Kuru land is found near New Delhi, India. This Sanskrit country is called Indraprasttha. Why did the Buddha teach the Four Foundations of Mindfulness to the Kurds? Is this incidental? Explanation is not so. Kuru is a country with excellent climate, neither too hot nor too cold, and the Kuru live comfortably with their food. Thanks to the material facilities and convenient conditions, people in both spirit and material are always happy and happy. Thanks to the body of a healthy mind, the power of intellectual maturity to absorb the deep teachings of the method of mindfulness practice of the Buddha. This is why the Buddha taught the Four Noble Truths to the people here.
But this does not mean that the Buddha taught the Four Noble Truths to the people of Kuru. During forty-five years of teaching, the Buddha taught the method of mindfulness in many places in various cases. In the "myutta Nikaaya" there is a chapter on the four foundations of mindfulness meditation. Of these, there are one hundred and four great parts, which are short ones that are taught in different places. In Kuru, the Buddha taught the four foundations of Mindfulness with more details. The comment states that the Kuru people live in a place where the climate is good and food is adequate, so that their minds are growing, all the people of all classes in Kuru practice the four foundations of Mindfulness. If anyone is asked to meditate on the four foundations of mindfulness, and if they do not answer, they will approach and teach them how to meditate. But if they say that they have practiced this kind of meditation like this ... they will be praised: "Awesome! Your life is so much blessing, so worth it. You have used a good life as your people. It is because of people like you that the Buddha appeared in this world. "

The comment went further and said: "Even animals in Kuru practice the four foundations of mindfulness." The commentator talks about the inseparable Vipassana meditation. There is a dancers living in the silver world. You go from one place to another. He raised a tank and coached talking, singing and dancing. Wherever dancers go, they go to temples and nunnery to stay, because in those places he has enough food to eat and a place to rest. One time, he stayed at a nunnery for a while, leaving him to forget about that. Safes are nourished by saints and are named Buddharakkhita. One day in front of the chief. The chief asked the safe: "Do you know meditation?" Answer: "No." "Those who live with monks and nuns do not forget, but because you are a bird, you can not meditate so much. You just need to repeat the words: 'Bone, bone, bone' is enough. " Then the chief priest teaches the jar of meditation on the body. The scars keep repeating: "Bone, bone, bone." One day, the tank is parked on the sun lounger, a large bird swooping down, using claw hoops to take away. Hearing the cry of the tank, the novice saluted: "Buddharakkhita bird was crumpled" and the trees and rocks threatening the bird makes large birds release the tank. When the nuns bring the box to the chief, the chief asks the tank: "Buddhrakkhita, what do you think when the big bird is taken away? "I do not think anything except seeing another skeleton carrying another skeleton. I do not know when this skeleton will disintegrate. That's the only thing that I think of when I'm being ridiculed by the big birds. " The chief said with pleasure, "This will be good cause to end suffering in the future." Then the chief priest teaches the jar of meditation on the body. According to the commentary, the people in the Kuru Kingdom practice diligently practicing the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. When they meet, they often ask: In the four mindfulness of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, what practice do you practice? If the respondents answered no, the people would rebuke and begin teaching them how to meditate. But if they answered that they were watching the body, watching life ... like this, this ... then they would be praised by everyone: "Really! Really! Your life is so blissful, so worth it. You have used a good life as your people. It is because of people like you that the Buddha appeared in this world. The Buddha preached this sutra in Kurū for a reason. Not only the Buddha but others also appreciate the people of Kurū. In another Indian tradition, the Bhagavad Gita begins with the words: Dhammarkṣhetre, Kurukṣhetre, meaning in the "field of dhamma, the field of Kurū". In another sutta the Buddha explains how the Kurūs lived a life of virtue, from kingship to the people. This is absolutely incredible, and what is now called sīla dhamma is called Kurū-dhamma. For Gender or Morality is their nature.
In a past life of the Buddha, Bodhisatta was the ruler of Kurū. Kaliṅga, another small country now called Orissa, is in drought and famine year after year. It is believed that such famines occur when people no longer live a virtuous life. The elders of Kalinga advised the king to maintain the five precepts, so that all his subjects would follow, and keep the five precepts. It is important that precepts be received from a perfect person in the precept or pure precept. On this they asked the king to ask the king of Kurū, a perfect man, and all his subjects lived a moral life.
Two messengers were dispatched. They told him the whole story and asked him to write the precepts on a stone tablet: on the king's behalf they would read aloud these words, and all the people of Kaliṅga would begin to practice it. and thus escape the limit. The king of Kurū refused. Although he lives a perfect life of gender, he feels he has made a small mistake. The king sent them to his mother. She also said she made a small mistake. So the messengers were sent to the queen's palace; Similarly, they turn to the king's followers, to the officials, the officers, the traders, even down to the driver (the horse) and the gatekeeper. They all said they made a small mistake.
However, these mistakes are not important. For example, the king, while demonstrating his archery skills, fired an arrow. The arrow fell, and did not rise. Maybe it was through a fish. Whether this is true or not, is still a doubt. The Kurū people are very cautious.

A foundation of precepts is very important. However, in the time between this Buddha and another Buddha appearing (long, incalculable), other parts of the Dharma are lost, and this is what happened. In fact, the Dharma that a Buddha says is perfect and pure - kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ (complete and complete), kevalaparisudhaṃ - (nothing to add or remove). As time passed, important parts of the Dharma lost. Wisdom (paññā), the hardest part, disappears first: the only remaining world knowledge. Then pure purity, pure loss: the remaining imagination, but mindfulness of reality is no longer. The rest, while the other steps are lost, is exaggerated and extended to the extremities, causing the mind to become unbalanced. This has happened in India today:
The Buddha always condemned sīla-vata-parāmāsa - attachment to the world. Here the word vata means the vow, or vow, parāmasa clinging. There is no samadhi or wisdom (paññā), people immediately vat (vata); and turns to expand a single world (sīla), thinking that it will free them. Actually, there is nothing wrong with the world (sīla) or vow (vata), both important. For example, vow not to eat dinner will help your meditation, or to fast for a day to keep you healthy. But when it is extended to extremes, people fast for a month, just to show their (fasting) dharma, and the essence, or purpose is not seen anymore.
This is the situation that happened at Kurū at that time. Their gender is very good, but they have become extinct. Although this is wrong, holding sīla is definitely better than no precept. What they lack in dhamma, can be found by this technique. Therefore, the sutta is not about sīla, because this solid foundation is already there. With such a good foundation, the Kurū people will certainly understand the details of this technique more clearly. Consequently, the Buddha recited this sutra in Kurū.
Then He (the Buddha) called the monks (bhikkhu). END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.4/10/2017.
