Love .VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

Man should learn to love with unselfish love in order to maintain true peace and to save himself. Suicide destroys the body, too, selfishness hinders spiritual progress. Love according to Buddhism is not a mere emotion, nor is it selfish. It is the love manifested from the pure inner side after having eliminated all the inner hatred, jealousy, brutality, hostility and resentment. According to the Buddha, kindness, or love is the most effective method to maintain peace of mind and to wash away contaminated hearts.
Love is a word used to describe a very wide range of emotions in human life. In fact, emphasizing the sexual desire for a person of the opposite sex has undervalued emotions in friendly relationships with others. According to Buddhism, there are many types of emotions. All of these are called by the common noun, love. First of all, selfish love and unselfish love. A person with selfish love is only interested in how happy others make us, but not at all about the wishes or feelings of the other person. Jealousy is always a sign of selfish love. Unselfish love is the love one gives to another because of the good things about that person - parents love their children very much. People often feel a mix of selfish love and unselfish love in relationships. For example, while parents make great sacrifices for their children, they often expect something in return.
In the book The ancient way of the Buddha, Piyadassi said: Love is a positive force. Every action of a loving person is an act of immaculate mind in order to help, support and motivate to make everyone's life more comfortable, calm and transform worries. Europe is invading their soul and can enjoy lasting happiness.
The way to nurture love, to let love grow is through thinking deeply about the evils of jealousy, the benefits of non-jealousy, and through reflection on reality, about karma.
Indeed, no one likes hatred. Hatred is a bad form of affection, it sinks us deeper and deeper into darkness, making us less lucid. Hatred binds people, and loves makes people peaceful. Hatred leads to torment, and love brings peace.
Hatred makes people lose their temper, love makes people calm. Hatred leads to division, and love brings harmony. Hatred is rough, love is tender. Hatred is to oppose, to love helps. Hatred has negative effects, and love brings many such benefits, so let us try to nurture our love to grow stronger.
In the Sutta of Compassion, the Buddha explained the nature of love in Buddhism as "Like a mother protecting her only child in the most critical moment of life. However, let him cultivate. train boundless love towards all beings, let the ideas of love without borders spread throughout the world, above, below, and all four directions, not at all. prevention, absence of hatred and absolutely no hostility ".
