B.- The Body Posture
The second part of the chapter on Body Contemplation named "The way the body". "Posture" here are four postures: walking, standing, sitting, lying. Students should be mindful in all four positions.
Again, the master monk, when traveling monk said, "I'm going," said the monk was standing, "I was standing," said the monk was sitting, "I am sitting", as he lay monk said "I am lying", or when the body do master monk body said so.Here, the word "monk said he" does not mean yogis superficial understanding that perfect knowledge, deeper what is happening. Explanatory Note that this question is a general question refers to four main postures have said, nothing else. Means that when yogis go to know "I'm going," said the student stood to "I'm standing," said the student must sit "I'm sitting," is to know when yogis "I am lying" .

Venerable Mahaasi that question: "What if the body, he said monk body so" including postures or movements as small as bending, stretching hands, crouching, leaning etc .. not just mention four key positions or postures: walking, standing, lying, sitting. So question "When your body knows what to do master monk such body" includes all of the body affected. Not recently misunderstanding this sentence. This misunderstanding had before Note written texts. So the understanding of meditation and non-meditation somewhere different?
The answer is: two completely different people. Now let's examine who do not meditate, said: " 'I am going' while I was walking like? In a blink of an eye, millions moment thoughts come and go. These moments can give rise to the physical element. There are four main elements called the four elements: earth, water, wind, fire. In every moment, intent and movement came and went. That is what the student experienced in meditation, but who does not meditate can not yet see. Their understanding of completely without mindfulness. If a person is going to stop and ask what they are thinking, most responded that they were thinking of something, not thinking to go. Maybe they are thinking of their house or their job. Although sometimes they think they are going but their understanding is only superficial understanding surface.
It is thought that there is a being and the beings that, sooner or later does not change, existing in the past, exist in the present and future existence. Maybe they have some vague understanding of impermanence but they think that the only sentient beings and he has been present in the past, be present in the present and will be available in the future. Therefore, they bother to keep forever an unfounded prejudice is a living being. But there was no analysis of any living being. Involuntary movements of the body and out, there is a human being, an individual at all. The reason they bother to hold a human mind because they do not clearly see the arising and disappearing through every moment of intent and impact.
Their understanding does not eliminate the notion of a self or an eternal soul. They think there is something that is beyond the travel and the movement of the body when going. Something has operating and arranging for the travel. Therefore, their understanding is not the result of meditation. Meditation, known Paa.li is Kammathaana , is defined as a condition for future development. A known called kammathaana when this knowledge led to a later development. The people did not know meditation is the mindful not know and can not know by calling it the Four Foundations of Mindfulness.
The knowledge of different meditator's knowledge is not meditation. When you meditate while walking, you are aware of the motion. You recorded three phases of step: lifting, step, cycle; bad, step, cycle; bad, step, step. You carefully monitor the progress of the travel. That's what the yogis observe during meditation.
Yogis also clear that because there are moments of desire to succeed are the successors of the moment to move the body. There are millions of thoughts moment in a wink, so have millions moving moment. For ordinary people, the best of the small movements appear as a tremendous movement. However, yogis will realize that the slightest movement when diligent mindfulness meditators during meditation.
Yogis clear that only in the desired travel and movement of the body, in addition there is nothing else. There's me, him, men, women, all living beings expenses. Also no one I'm going. Only the mind is willing and the body is in motion only.
When carefully observe the will and the movement, you will know that the will and the movement to and from the very rapid. They come and go in every moment. You will see this when you really have to care. Therefore, the yogis know of a fully aware, clearly and accurately.
When you do not see someone or beings other than two of the desired progress and impact, you do not see a man go walking but only desired movements and movements; you do not see any one person or any individual travel impact. When you find the will and the birth and death go in every moment, you will find that body and mind are in the present moment seconds different from the body and mind in the moments before. You see that the body and mind and the will and the movement of the body in this moment can not survive until the next moment. At every moment an old dead body and mind and a fresh body and mind out.
Yogis will be aware that what is there now is not the same with what is already in the past and did not like what will be in the future. At every moment - past, present, future - everything is constantly moving, coming and going. When yogis recognize this, their wisdom will help them eliminate the belief that there is a person or a being. When yogis see only the will and the movement of the body, they can not find a human being or beings of the impact of travel. One student carefully observe its effects, carefully observe your mind and can remove the trust that there is a man or a being is this wisdom can help them eliminate the notion of a permanent entity, a soul or ego.
Deep understanding of the travel is fundamental or essential conditions for future development. Yogis will continue to observe the phenomenon arising at every moment and will develop the intellectual concentration on, and later after that until the Enlightenment reached the final floor. The know at this stage is fundamental and necessary conditions for the development of the following; so the said here certainly called meditation (kammatthaana ).
When the recorded memory firmly established in the minds of people who meditate intently, watching the impact walking, standing, lying, sitting before you can call it mindfulness. Therefore, the knowledge of the meditator brings both properties: properties meditation and mindfulness characteristics. What people do not practice can not be called meditation or mindfulness.
When yogis understand deeply, clearly and precisely the elements that make up the go, when they understand that there is the will to go and moving on, in addition there is nothing more then their full intellectual and meet the following three questions: Who goes? Whose is this going? Why is going to happen?
When you ask a student: Who goes? The answer would be: "No man or go all sentient beings." Because at that time saw the impact they go away and only desire a contemporary style chain (air element) triggers the go. They did not see a man or a being that go. So question "Who goes?" be answered is: "No people or beings go all". No people or beings away, outside the intention goes, the motion of the wind and the subsequent movement of the body.
The move is the one? There is a certain people or a power-employed or on the go with this power? No one, or something, all the travel. Therefore the sentence: "The going is anybody?" be answered is: "There is someone, or something to do all the go". Because there is no one person or a being that nobody should go to master, only the will and the movement only. In other words, because there is no one who should not have anyone to master the go, no power or no power on the go with this.
Why is going to happen? Activities of interest caused the air element (the wind), and this factor makes the wind go. When you want to go, first desire or intention to arise. Therefore, the meditator will realize the real nature of travel, not see through the superficial expression of the away. This means that the student has a really good understanding of proper understanding on the go. In short, this body move thanks to the mind, the mind makes the wind arose, and the wind makes the body move. Without mind, there will be no movement because there is no wind, and if there is no wind, then absolutely no movement. When yogis practice will see this clearly.

So, you learn to "see" by meditating. You gain wisdom directly by thorough observation of what is happening in the present moment. You observe what arises through the six doors sense in the present moment. Therefore, the knowledge of meditation and the knowledge of people who do not meditate very different. Indeed, the know of two completely different people. When yogis clear understanding that in the only mean to go away and moving away, know that the will and movement are two distinct elements, and this is the human element of the other factors, the yogis will find the will and the student movement going in every moment a killing. Thus, the monk observe internal body in the body, or monk observes foreign body in the body, or monk observing body in the body internally and externally.When yogis contemplate the majesty walking, standing, lying, sitting, and their impact is minor student has "observe internal body in the body" . Sometimes, while meditating, the meditator can think of someone walking, standing, lying, sitting: "The walking, standing, lying, sitting by me is impermanent and is caused by desire, then the walking, standing, lying, sitting of others, too. Think of others while meditation is "deductive insight".
We have two types of Vipassana, "Direct insight" and "deductive insight" . When observing the walking, standing, lying, sitting by yourself as you practice "Direct insight." When thinking to walking, standing, lying, sitting of others as you act " deductive insight " (see "guide meditation" in Part Three).
Bhikkhus observe arise factors (properties arises) in the body, or bhikkhus observe cessation factor (characteristic cessation) in the body, or monk observed arise both elements (properties birth boots) and cessation factors (characteristics cessation) in the body.Paragraph above is repeated many times. "Factor arise" here means that the cause of the arising of the body or matter and "politics that arise." There are many causes for the sharp physical or arise. You are here because you have done something in the past. You are here because of you now. Karma is the cause of the arising of the body. So now you craving arises life (property). You have this craving for your ignorance. Although you say you know everything about lust, but actually you have ignorance, and ignorance is the reason why you would want to have a better life. Karma you've accumulated so new there is a good life in this world.
Material or color in this world arise from many different causes:
- Ignorance of the pastSometimes, in your meditation, yogis thought or observation arises bodily cause or causes of identity arises: "The body arises here because we have now or by craving or because we have ignorance ".
- in the current Craving
- Industrial in the past and
- Food keep this vital body in the present.
Moreover, yogis find itself arises . Usually the student with little knowledge of Abhidhamma will see the uprising instead find the cause of the uprising . When mindfulness on the go, yogis will see "the uprising of the will" and "the uprising of motion". When yogis see four reasons (ignorance, craving, and the food industry) or see the uprising as the yogis have observed nature arise. Thus, characteristics arise include four causes and an uprising.
"The nature extinction" is the absence of ignorance, absence of greed, absence of industry and the absence of food. They are the cause of the disappearance or the cause of the cessation of own identity or cessation. Only meditation can see the cessation . When yogis observe decay Scr n , the student will see his will and yogis recognized or silently recite "want, want, want" . When such thoughts, wishes would disappear. The movements in this moment and the disappearance in the next moment. For other phenomena, when yogis focus tracking will also see the disappearance or cessation. When yogis see the absence of ignorance, absence of greed, absence of industry and absence of food, then also see the disappearance of the phenomena observed. Seeing one of the factors cessation of this, students are seen as show characteristic cessation of body, the cessation of the four causes and a cessation.
When the student reaches the insight to see the characteristics of the phenomenon of apparent immediate insight Tam General: impermanence, suffering, selflessness , the student will see the Minister or the image of the cessation of a clear way. When reached Tue Birth Kills yogis will see the arising and cessation or the birth and death of phenomena more clearly. When reaching knowledge of dissolution yogis will see the cessation or annihilation of the more obvious phenomena further.
Or monk mindful that 'only relatives only'. And mindfulness are set to help for the development of mindfulness in the future.When yogis fully aware on what is happening in his own body, the student will find that the only body only, and not a man or a permanent entity at all. New at meditation, the meditator will not clear that only the body only. But as progress, mindfulness is firmly established, the student will see only the body only, nothing more at all.
He lived not attached to any object of craving and wrong due cause; not attached to any object in the world formed by aggregates of grasping this.See the arising and cessation of all phenomena, so students no longer craving or attachment to any object. Then, no longer craving student at what was going on. Yogis no attachment to yourself or the ongoing impact. Yogis are no longer attached to anything. Now yogis see firsthand knowledge by clearly that all things are impermanent, come and go, arise and disappear.
When a student does not cling to any one of anything, not attached to any one of anything, craving and attachment of yogis will temporarily absent or excluded in the moment. In the absence of craving, not attached to anything, then every moment yogis have a craving and attachment to what the student is watching. It is the "moment eliminating craving and attachment" .
Once you can eliminate craving and attachment to "what is observed" it will also be able to eliminate craving and attachment to "observe what is not." Ability to eliminate craving and attachment to what is not observed as "temporary exclusion". Thus, yogis practice exclusion moment to what is observed and practiced temporarily excluded for what is not observed. Thanks to the two types of exclusion, the student will no longer attached to anything. This is the result of observing the phenomenon track as soon as they arise.
