Suffering Due to the Five Aggregates. The terrifying sufferings of birth, old age, sickness, death, sadness, lamentation, pain, sadness, and grief arise because of the five aggregates of clinging. As long as these five aggregates of clinging still exist, these terrible sufferings will remain. Therefore, the five aggregates of clinging are themselves suffering. In short, due to the physical body (rūpa), physical and mental sufferings based on physical form arise. Because of the knowing mind (nāma), physical and mental sufferings based on it arise. Therefore, Name and Form form the five aggregates of clinging, suffering. In other words, the unbearable pains of body and mind are internal sufferings called dukkha-dukkha (suffering-suffering) in the Pali Canon. These are sufferings that everyone is afraid of. Thus, feeling suffering (dukkha vedanā), or feeling clinging to the aggregate, is the true Truth of Suffering. Pleasurable feelings in the body and mind are only pleasant and pleasurable while they exist, but when they disappear, they are replaced by discomfort and dissatisfaction, which of course is suffering. This type of suffering called Vipariṇāma dukkha occurs due to change, transition from one pleasant state or condition to another, worse condition. For the Saints, pleasurable feelings are like a demon, making people fall in love with its beauty and turn into madness. For you, pleasant feelings are also fearful aggregates of clinging and constitute the true Truth of Suffering. At the same time, pleasant feelings are also impermanent and require constant effort to create conditions to maintain that state. This is of course troublesome and therefore for the wise it is real suffering. As for equanimity (upekkhā vedanā), and the remaining Aggregates — Perception, Actions, Consciousness, and Form are also always in a temporary state and constantly flowing, so for the Saints they are also real. scary. Although we have to rely on the impermanent Aggregates of Grasping to live and wait for death, it is as dangerous as living in a house that shows signs of collapse at any time. The transitory nature of the Aggregates requires constant effort to facilitate the maintenance of their status quo. Saṅkhāra Dukkha, the suffering caused by having to do endless conditioning work, is also terrifying. Therefore, for the Noble Ones, not only pleasant or unpleasant feelings but also the remaining aggregates of clinging are the Truth of Suffering. Since all the five aggregates of clinging are considered by the Noble Ones as truly terrible suffering, in concluding the definition of the Truth of Suffering, the World-Honored One said, “In short, the five aggregates of clinging, or in other words: Name and Form, which can cause attachments such as I, mine, or permanent, pleasure, and self are just Suffering”.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN ZEN BUDDHIST MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.23/6/2024.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.
