Kevaddha Sutra.4. 80. Kevaddha, at that time, that monk entered concentration, and in concentration, the path leading to the Brahma world appeared. Kevaddha, that Bhikkhu went to the Brahma Kayika Devas: "Friends, where do these four great elements - the earth element... the wind element - go, after completely disappearing?". Kevaddha, hearing that, the Brahma Kayika Devas said to that monk: "Monks, we do not know where those four great elements - earth element... air element - go, after completely disappearing. . Bhikkhu, there is Brahma, the Great Brahma, the Almighty, the Supreme, the All-seeing, the Supreme, the God, the Creator, the Creator, the Great, the Lord of all fates, the Free One. , the father of all sentient beings who have been and will be born. This person is superior and superior to us. This person can know where these four great earth elements... wind elements - go after completely disappearing." – Hey Sage, where is that Great Brahma now? – Hey Bhikkhu, we don't know where Brahma is, why Brahma exists and where Brahma comes from. But, Bhikkhu, when the signs appear, when the light arises, when the halo appears, then Brahma appears. The blue light and aura are clearly the Brahma form that appeared before. 81. Kevaddha, not long after, the Great Brahma appeared. At that time, Kevaddha, that monk came to the Great Brahma. When he arrived, he immediately asked Brahma: "Hey Sage, where do these four great species - the earth element... the wind element - go, after completely disappearing?" – Kevaddha, hearing that, the Great Brahma said to that monk: “Monk, I am Brahma, the Great Brahma, the Almighty, the Supreme, the All-seeing, the Supreme, the God, The Creator, the Creator, the Great One, the Lord of all destiny, the Self-sufficient One, the Father of all living beings who have been and will be born." 82. Kevaddha, for the second time, that Bhikkhu said to Brahma: "Friend, I did not ask: "Are you Brahma, Great Brahma, the Almighty, the Supreme, the All-seeing, the Supreme One?" , God, the Creator, the Creator, the Great One, the Lord of all destiny, the Self-sufficient One, the Father of all living beings who have been and will be born. Hey Sage, I ask: "Hey Sage, where do these four great species - the earth element... the wind element - go, after completely disappearing?". For the second time, Kevaddha, that Great Brahma said to that Bhikkhu: “O Bhikkhu, I am Brahma, Great Brahma, the Almighty, Supreme, All-seeing, Supreme, God, Bright. "Creator, Creator, Creator, Great One, Lord of all fates, Self-sufficient One, Father of all living beings who have been and will be born." 83. Kevaddha, for the third time, that Bhikkhu said to Brahma: "Friend, I did not ask: "Are you Brahma, the Great Brahma, the Almighty, the Supreme, the All-seeing, the Supreme? "God, the Creator, the Creator, the Great One, the Lord of all destiny, the Self-sufficient One, the Father of all living beings who have been and will be born." Dear Sir, I ask: "Hey Venerable Sir, where do those four great elements - earth element... wind element - go, after completely disappearing?". At that time, Kevaddha, the Great Brahma took hold of that monk's hand, pulled it aside and said to the monk: "Hey monk,The Brahmā Kayika Devas see that there is nothing Brahma does not see, there is nothing Brahma does not understand, there is nothing Brahma does not realize. Therefore, in front of them, I did not answer: "Monks, I do not know where those four great elements - earth element... wind element - go, after completely disappearing." Therefore, monk, you did wrong, you were mistaken, when you ignored the World-Honored One and turned to someone else to answer that question. Bhikkhu, you should go to the Blessed One and ask that question, and accept and accept what the Blessed One answered. 84. Kevaddha, that monk, like a great athlete stretching out his contracted arm, or shrinking his outstretched arm, disappeared in the Brahma world and appeared before Me. Hey Kevaddha, that monk bowed to me and sat down to one side. After sitting down to one side, Kevaddha, that Bhikkhu said to me: "World-Honored One, where do these four great elements - earth element... wind element - go, after completely disappearing?" 85. Kevaddha, hearing that, I said to that monk: "Monks, in the past, when merchants sailed across the sea, they often brought with them a bird that could see the shore. When the boat crossed the sea too far and could not see the shore, the merchants immediately released a bird that could see the shore. The bird flies to the East, flies to the South, flies to the West, flies to the North, flies to Up, flies to the Intermediate directions. If the bird sees the surrounding shore, the bird immediately flies to that shore. If the bird cannot see the surrounding shore, the bird flies back to the boat. Likewise, monk, you have searched all the way to the Brahma world without finding the answer to that question, so now return to me. Monks, the question should not be asked as follows: "World-Honored One, where do those four great elements - earth element, water element, fire element, wind element - go, after completely disappearing?". Monks, the question must be asked as follows: "Where do the earth element, water element, fire element, wind element, long, short, subtle, coarse, pure, impure have no standing foot?" Where are both name and form completely destroyed? and here is the answer to this question: “Consciousness is invisible, boundless, permeating all realms. Here, the earth element, water element, fire element, and wind element have no standing. Here, too, long, short, subtle, coarse, pure and impure. Here name and form are completely destroyed. When consciousness ceases, everything here ceases." The World-Honored One said so. Kevaddha, a young lay person, happily accepted the teachings of the World-Honored One. /2024.or shrink the outstretched arm, disappear in the Brahma world and appear before Me.
