Learn The Wheel of Falun. We respect the Buddha as we remember his deeds, we are grateful for his teachings for guiding sentient beings along the right path leading to Enlightenment and Liberation. We respect the Buddha because we appreciate his teachings, which are called the signs of the Dharma; the symbol is the Dharma Wheel or "Falun Wheel." The Dharma Wheel means the Dharma Wheel.Dhamma in Pali (Sanskrit) means Dharma Jewel, the teaching from the Buddha. In Buddhism, the Dharma Wheel represents the Dharma wheel. for the Buddha's teachings, including the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, and the Middle Way. The wheel of Dharma is often drawn as an eight-branched wheel, representing the Noble Eightfold Path (see Eight Treasures). Wheel consists of 12 spokes is the rotation according to the three wisdom-wheels: Wisdom-study, wisdom-action, The wisdom of the Four Noble Truths (3 x 4 = 12) is the core part of Buddhism. Therefore, the Wheel of Dharma Wheel is also a symbol of Buddhism. Some people think that the wheel represents Samsara, fearing that it is not true to the meaning of progressing up; The Dharma wheel (Falun) has more sublime meanings: 1. The Dharma wheel moves incessantly, the Buddha's teachings are constantly evolving, trendy, logical, and reasonable, but the function is still portable. moving, bringing living beings from dark to light, from suffering to joy, from low to high, from ignorance to Enlightenment, from hell to Nirvana. 2. Wherever the Dharma wheel spreads, thorny grass and stones will be crushed there, delusions and defilements will also be eliminated. 3. The Dharma wheel only moves forward, never retreats. The first sermon of Buddha Shakyamuni preached at the Deer Garden to the four brothers, Mr. Kieu-Tran-Nh, talks about the Four Noble Truths, which is called the first turning of the Dharma wheel (the first turning of the wheel of Dharma). inner circle with 6, 8 or 12 frames. The number 12 represents the "Twelve Causes and Conditions", the number 8 represents the "Eightfold Path", the number 6 represents the "Six Paths". wheel shape with 8 frames is drawn more and more popular. Through the practice of the "Eightfold Path" sentient beings move towards Enlightenment, just as through the wheel a traveler moves to his goal. The Dharma wheel placed on the lotus symbolizes the pure Buddha Dharma like a lotus growing in the mud that rises out of the mud without the foul smell of the mud. The Buddha Dharma takes the practitioner from the polluted place to the pure and noble place. If you want to say that the Buddhadharma is noble, you need to reach out and accept it respectfully and respectfully. In short, the Dharma wheel "Falun" represents the Dharma of the Buddha, while the Dharma has no form, no form, later created by painters and artists, depending on the spiritual vibrations, may have different forms, but the meaning of the Wheel of Dharma is very sublime. bringing practitioners from the ordinary to the holy, from the hell of suffering to Nirvana, at peace, not the wheel of samsara, sending sentient beings adrift in the six paths of samsara. The wheel of Dharma brings beings out of samsara, escaping from the cycle of depression, if understood as the wheel of samsara, it is not true to the sublime meaning of the Buddha Dharma, which has the miraculous function of saving sentient beings. In the Buddhist scriptures, there is an example: The lame person relies on a wheelchair to move far, sentient beings rely on the Buddha's Dharma to advance to Enlightenment and Liberation. Recently, in newspapers, books, and internet sites, people have mixed the two types of French wheel symbols. 1. Head type as shown above: These pictures are the shape of the rudder (in English helm, or in French, barre), also with a rotating shaft and frames, but at the top of the frame there are knobs for people to hold hands on and rotate, sailboat. While driving the train, this rudder only rotates a few turns, sometimes in the right direction, sometimes in the left direction, it does not have a continuous rotation in one direction like the wheel (chakra) of the train. car. This type of rudder was only invented in the 10th century, when Westerners used sailing ships to trade with other countries while searching for colonies. The sailing ships of Asia did not have this kind of rudder. This shape of the rudder is also a beautiful symbol that Westerners often use to symbolize leadership. In English, the noun is at the helm of the country which means in the position of leading the country; the English noun take helm or the French prendre la barre means to hold a leadership position. Over the past decades, people have seen the websites of Tibetan or Hinayana Buddhists use this beautiful symbol, especially those teaching about Buddhism in English because it seems appropriate and popular with Westerners. . I think if people use this type of wheel as a symbol of the Falun in Buddhism, the meaning will be different. To bring a symbol of leadership instead of the sense of non-stop Dharma movement as mentioned above, is a mistake. Especially Westerners are prone to get the wrong impression of its original meaning. 2. The second type The new figure is the wheel of an old car with many frames. Technically, if we draw all 12 frames representing the twelve links of predestined conditions, it is too dense and unsightly, so people draw simply and only have eight or six frames. Once the wheel (chakra) is attached to the chariot, the rim can no longer have handles, like the helm wheel. This figure represents the wheel of France inscribed on the stone pillar of King Ashoka, and today India also takes this wheel as the national name and has it printed on the national flag. Now, I would like to write this article to urge publishers and website makers to be careful in choosing the right Buddhist symbol of Falun, not to use the helm wheel as a symbol for the Dharma.
