The Principles of Practice. The Dharma-nature School says "transforming consciousness into wisdom", the Dharma-nature School says "clearing the mind and seeing one's own nature", and the Pure Land School says "single-mindedness without distraction", all are principles of practice leading to the highest state of enlightenment. If one wants to achieve this goal completely, one must destroy two kinds of attachment. Self-attachment is the origin of samsara in the six paths; dharma-attachment is the cause for the formation of the ten dharma-realms. Therefore, when the two kinds of attachment to self and dharma-attachment are destroyed, one will not only be liberated from the six paths of samsara, but also transcend the ten dharma-realms. This is called entering the one true dharma-realm. The Avatamsaka Sutra says that the Flower Store World of Vairocana Buddha and the Western Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha both belong to the one true dharma-realm. This is often said in Mahayana teachings, the final result of practice is returning to one's origin, also called great perfection. The Buddha taught us to "leave appearances and thoughts", as the Diamond Sutra says: "All the sages and saints take the Dharma of non-action to make distinctions". In other words, from the time of first awakening the mind to the position of Tathagata, no matter what Dharma method is practiced, one must follow the principle of "leave appearances and thoughts". The order of the eight stages of fruition in Hinayana (1), or the 51 stages of fruition in Mahayana, are all based on the depth or shallowness of the practice of leaving appearances and thoughts. This is clearly stated in the Diamond Sutra, which are the mysterious principles that guide us to be human, work, and live to achieve happiness, peace, and perfection. The important thing is that we must know how to skillfully apply true practice. If we apply practice appropriately and skillfully, then at some point we will penetrate into the realm of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, which is the moment of "transforming consciousness into wisdom", "transforming ignorance into enlightenment", or transforming the life of ordinary people into the life of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The life of ordinary people is to drift in the six paths of samsara; the life of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is to play with supernatural powers freely. The living space of ordinary people is limited, the living space of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is the end of space, pervading the entire Dharma realm. The Mahayana sutras describe this very thoroughly. The Buddha taught that this realm is not reserved only for Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but all sentient beings and all people have a part. As long as we awaken and turn back, practice according to the Buddha's teachings, everyone will achieve success. The method of practice is to take the Diamond Sutra as a guideline, to leave behind appearances and thoughts, and then practice according to the Pure Land Dharma door, continuously reciting the name of Amitabha Buddha without interruption. In daily life, walking, standing, sitting, eating, dressing, working... all actions and gestures should not be separated from mindfulness, always remembering the name of Amitabha, then the path to enlightenment and becoming a Buddha is not far away, right in this life, it will definitely be completely accomplished, achieving perfect happiness.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN ZEN BUDDHIST MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.4/7/2024.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.
