The Buddha patiently conquered cruelty. As a disciple of the Buddha, one must be patient, have a mind free from anger, and have compassion for living beings. “Learn from the earth - Patience and humility. The earth silently accepts, the evil, the trivial". In the world there is nothing comparable to a person with strong patience, in the human and heavenly realms, no matter how strong, there is nothing more than patience. The Buddha taught these words while he was staying at Jetavana, in connection with the Venerable Sariputta. One day, the faithful sat together and praised the virtues of the Venerable Sariputta: - Our Venerable Teacher, is so patient that no matter who scolds or beats him, he does not get angry. At that time, a non-Buddhist Brahmin asked: - Who is not angry? - Our teacher, the Venerable Sariputta. - Surely no one has ever angered him? - Never, Brahmin. - Okay, I will anger him. - You try. - Believe me, I know how to act with him. The next day, the Venerable entered the city for alms. The Brahmin went The Brahmin followed behind the Venerable One and punched him in the back with a fierce punch. The Venerable One only asked, "What is it?" without turning back to look and continued walking. Seeing this attitude, the Brahmin felt overwhelmed with remorse: "Oh! How noble is the virtue of the Venerable One!" He fell at his feet: - Please forgive me. - What is the matter? - I wanted to test you so I punched you on the back. - Okay, I am not angry with you. - If you are willing to forgive me, please only come to my house to receive food from now on. And he took the Venerable One's bowl and brought him home to offer him lunch. The Venerable One happily handed over the bowl. Some outsiders saw this and were very angry. - That heretic has beaten our teacher, a person who no one should offend, that crime is unforgivable. We must kill him. They grabbed dirt, stones, sticks, and dragged him to the door of the Brahmin's house. When the Venerable One finished eating and came out, he left the bowl for the Brahmin to hold. The others saw him going out with the Venerable One, so they cried: - Venerable One, please order the Brahmin to return. - What do you want, my friends? - The name That Brahmin hit you, and we want to punish him properly. - What? Did he hit me or you? - Yes, he hit you. - If so, he has apologized to me, you can go home. The Venerable advised the Buddhists, and allowed the Brahmin to go home, and the Venerable returned to the monastery. The Bhikkhus were very indignant. - What is this? A Brahmin hit Venerable Sariputta, and you went to that man's house to receive food! He has already hit Venerable Sariputta, so who else will you respect? He will hit this person and that person indiscriminately. The World-Honored One heard the story and told the Bhikkhus: - Bhikkhus, there is no such thing as a Brahmin hitting a Brahmin, only a common Brahmin hitting a Brahmin who has attained the holy fruit. Because one who has attained the fruit of Anagami has completely eliminated all anger. He spoke a verse: (389) Do not hit the Brahmin! Do not hit the Brahmin back! It is bad to hit the Brahmin! It is worse to hit back! (390) To the Brahmin,This is not a small benefit, When the mind is not attached, The mind of harm is stopped, Only then will suffering be extinguished.END= NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).
