When we talk about filial piety, we often think of Venerable Muc Kien Lien with his vow to save his mother from hell, the precondition for winning the Vu Lan festival. However, besides the filial sunshine of Venerable Muc Kien Lien, among the great disciples of the Buddha, there are many other shining examples of filial piety, most notably Venerable Sariputta, a wise and filial person. whole. Statue of Venerable Sariputta Venerable Sariputra comes from the Brahmin class, famous for his wisdom since childhood. He is the pride and hope of his family, his lineage, and especially his mother, Mrs. Xa Loi, who is intelligent and has a talent for eloquence who hopes that her son will become a great great teacher. most contemporaneous. Yet growing up, Sariputra gave up everything to follow the recluse Cu Dam, becoming an effective assistant of the Blessed One. using his wisdom to submit to many Brahmins to follow Buddhism. Although she loved and respected her son's decision, the event that Sariputra ordained as a Buddha made her disappointed, sad, and had no sympathy for the Sangha. When he left home and attained arahantship, Venerable Sariputta knew it very well, he wanted to return to awaken and transform his mother, but because the predestined conditions were not yet ripe, he had to wait and wait until the end. when he was about to enter Nirvana and his mother, Sariputra, was nearly 100 years old at that time. When she heard that Shariputra and his entourage of more than 500 monks were about to return home, she remained indifferent. Although at that time the fame and majesty of Sariputra was famous all over the world, but in her heart, Sariputra was always small and even the Blessed One could not be compared with the great Brahma whom she had long been known for. still worship. The reunion of motherhood after more than twenty years of separation was not long before Venerable Sariputta fell ill. Whether he was in real pain or manifested, we could not know, but Mrs. Sa Loi was very worried and restless. Is there a mother who can't help but worry about her child? That night she lay awake, unable to sleep. When Mrs. Xa Loi came to visit her son, she suddenly became dazzled as if she was lost in the world of angels. In Venerable Sariputra's room was filled with light, surrounded by countless deities of radiant radiance. Not only one but many delegations of gods visited Venerable Sāriputta, making Mrs. Sāriputta surprised and overjoyed. This is the first time in her life she has witnessed such splendor and magnificence. When the god with the brightest aura and color and his entourage left, Mrs. Xa Loi immediately asked her attendant Thuan Da's permission to visit Venerable Sariputta. She was surprised to the extreme when she learned that the delegations of angels visiting her son were the Four Great Heavenly Kings, De Thich and Dai Brahma, the omnipotent being whom she always reveres and worships. Thinking for a moment, Mrs. Sariputra thought that if my son had such great power that the heavens and people all respected him like that, how great would the World-Honored One be. Thinking of this, she felt a joy and happiness filled her body, her mind was extremely relaxed, and her faith in the Blessed One burst forth. On that occasion, Venerable Sariputra sequentially explained and praised the great merit of the Blessed One through the aspects of morality, concentration, wisdom, liberation and knowledge liberation. Miraculously, when the Dharma talk had just ended, Mrs. Sāriputta achieved the pure Dharma eye, unwavering faith in the Blessed One, and attained the preliminary fruition of Tuda completion. So Venerable Sariputta fulfilled the filial duty of the monastic. Although she did not visit us early in the evening, and served deliciously... but helped her mother to escape the trap, enter the Holy Order, and be eternally happy. Not only transforming the mother in the present, for those born in the past, Venerable Sariputta also became filial. The Precious Ghosts (Sub-Buddhist) said that: When the Blessed One was staying at Truc Lam, at that time the Venerable Sariputta, Muc Kien Lien ... were staying at a place in the forest not far from Vuong Xa citadel. In a past life, there was a rich man in the city of Ba La Nai who used to pronounce large offerings to the ascetics and brahmins and give generously to the poor. Then one day, the rich man was busy doing business far away, before going to instruct his wife to complete the work of giving alms. He's gone, the wife not only neglects her husband's responsibility for making offerings, but also shows contempt for insulting the poor. Because of meager greed, creating heavy negative karma, when she died, she was reborn as a hungry ghost who suffered a lot. Recalling the good deeds she had done in the past, she wished to meet Venerable Sariputta and immediately went to Vuong Xa citadel. When approaching the sanctuary of Venerable Sariputta, the female ghost was stopped by the good deities and prevented her from entering. The female ghost said that in the past five lives I was the mother of Venerable Sariputta, please allow me to visit him. When he saw a female ghost, Sāriputta immediately asked: Why do you imagine a person so emaciated, with skin and bones, so miserable? The female ghost said: In the past five lives, I was the mother of the Venerable. But because of the negative karma that has been created, now I am in a state of misery, without a home, do not have enough food and drink, are always tortured by hunger and thirst... The next day, Venerable Sariputta and the monks came to King Tan Ba Sala to present the matter, thanks to the help of conditions and was approved by the king. When the gifts were prepared, Venerable Sariputra sincerely made offerings to the Buddha and monks in the ten directions and then dedicated the merit to the female ghost. Thanks to that blessing, the female ghost, the mother of Venerable Sariputra, in the past was freed from the life of a hungry ghost, and was reborn in the heavens. And the goddess with outstanding beauty and brilliant clothes came down to the earth to meet Venerable Muc Kien Lien, clearly stating the cause and conditions to get rid of suffering and at the same time expressing infinite gratitude to Venerable Sariputta. Thanks to his cultivation efforts, Venerable Sariputta has converted parents in the present as well as saved parents in the past, out of suffering. And that is a shining example for our posterity to learn and follow.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.6/8/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
