The Lion's Roar of Venerable Sariputta. At one time the Buddha was in Sāvatthī, Jeta's Grove, the monastery of Anāthapiṇḍika. At that time, Venerable (also called Venerable, Venerable) Sariputra (Sariputta) approached the Blessed One. The Venerable bowed to him, then sat down to one side and said: "Venerable Sir, we have just spent a summer retreat in Savat city, and now I want to go around the country to spread the word." "Sariputra, you can go whenever you want." At that time, the Blessed One was sitting on the right hand side of the Venerable, from his seat, the Blessed One stood up, clasped his hands to greet the Blessed One, and then left. As soon as Venerable Sariputra had just left, a monk said to the Blessed One: "Mr Sariputra beat me, and then he left without an apology." [6] Therefore, the Blessed One summoned a monk and said, "Bhikkhu, he went to call Shariputra, and said, 'I want him to return.'” [7] The monk obeyed, ran away, met Shariputra, and the Venerable replied, “I will be right back. " After that, Venerable Mahāmoggallāna and Venerable Ananda (Ānanda), taking the key, went to all the monks' residences and said: "Listen here, masters, listen here. ! today let us go and listen to the venerable Sariputta, speak [in deep, resounding words] like the roar of a lion, in front of the Blessed One." Venerable Sariputra approached the Blessed One, bowed to him, and sat down to one side. When the Venerable took his seat, the Blessed One said: "One of the monks here complained that the Venerable had beaten him and when the Venerable left, did not leave an apology." “World Honored One, who is not mindful of the body, can hit a monk from the same temple, and not leave an apology. “World-Honored One, just like people who throw on the ground clean things and unclean things, such as feces, urine, saliva, pus, and blood, yet the earth accepts everything without aversion. , vomiting, or hatred; In the same way, venerable sir, my heart is like the earth, vast, noble, immeasurable, without enemies, and without evil intentions. A person who is not mindful of the body may hit a monk from the same temple and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body will never do that. “World Honored One, like people who use water to wash clean things and unclean things, things that are stuck with feces, urine, saliva, pus, and blood, however, water accepts all things. something without disgust, vomiting, or hatred; In the same way, venerable sir, my heart is like water, vast, noble, immeasurable, without enemies, and without malice. A person who is not mindful of the body, may hit a monk from the same temple, and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body, never does that. “Venerable sir, just as a fire burns clean and unclean things, which are adhered to by feces, urine, saliva, pus and blood, however, the fire accepts everything that not disgust, vomiting, or hatred; In the same way, venerable sir, my heart is like a fire, vast, noble, immeasurable, without enemies, and without evil intentions. A person who is not mindful of the body, may hit a monk from the same temple, and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body, never does that. "Venerable Sir, just as the wind blows away the clean and the unclean, such as feces, urine, saliva, pus, and blood, yet the wind accepts everything without disgust, vomiting, or hatred ; In the same way, venerable sir, my heart is like the wind, vast, noble, immeasurable, without enemies, and without evil intentions. A person who is not mindful of the body may hit a monk from the same temple and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body will never do that. "World-Honored One, like a rag that wipes clean things and unclean things, things that are stuck with feces, urine, saliva, pus and blood, yet the rag accepts everything without disgust, vomiting, or hatred; In the same way, venerable sir, my heart is like a rag, vast, noble, immeasurable, no enemies, and no malice. A person who is not mindful of the body, may hit a monk from the same temple, and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body, never does that. “Venerable Sir, like an abandoned boy or girl, without a family, with a box begging, dressed as rags, goes into the village, to the market street with a humble heart; In the same way, venerable sir, my heart is like that of that unmarried child, a heart that is large, noble, immeasurable, without enemies, and without evil intentions. A person who is not mindful of the body, may hit a monk from the same temple, and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body, never does that. "Venerable sir, like a bull with two horns cut off, gentle, tame, easy to train, roam from side to side, from block to block, and not hurt anyone; In the same way, venerable sir, I am like a bull with two horns cut off, with a large, noble heart, immeasurable, without enemies, and without evil intentions. A person who is not mindful of the body may hit a monk from the same temple and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body will never do that. “Venerable One, it is like a woman or a man, young, healthy, fond of jewelry or ornaments, who has just finished washing their hair, but then their mind is filled with concern. disgust, vomiting, or hatred, as if they were wrapped around their neck by the corpse of a snake, or the corpse of a dog, or the corpse of a human; Likewise, venerable sir, my mind is filled with aversion, vomiting, or hatred for your own stinking body. A person who is not mindful of the body may hit a monk from the same temple and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body will never do that. “World-Honored One, it is like a person carrying a bowl of fat, liquid like water, full of holes and crevices, leaking out, then dripping; In the same way, venerable sir, my body is full of holes and crevices, oozing out, then dripping. A person who is not mindful of the body may hit a monk from the same temple and leave no apology, however, someone who is mindful of the body will never do that. Then the monk accused the Venerable of getting up from his seat, then he adjusted his robe over one shoulder, bowed his head, at the feet of the Blessed One, and said: "Venerable Sir, I sinned because I was so foolish, stupid and unskillful, because I have accused Venerable Sariputra, because I have spoken falsely, spoken untrue, and said untruthfully. May the Blessed One accept my confession, forgive me, and I promise to practice restraint in the future." “Bhikkhu, you have sinned when you have been so foolish, stupid and unskillful because you have accused Venerable Sariputra, for speaking wrongly, speaking untrue, and speaking untruthfully. But when he acknowledged his sins, and promised to correct them according to the precepts, the Sangha now forgave him. This is the right thing to do, to develop the Precepts of the Tathagata, for anyone who admits sins, promises to correct them according to the precepts, and promises to practice restraint in the future.” The Blessed One then turned to Venerable Sariputra and said: "Behold, Sariputra, forgive this foolish man, before his head splits into seven pieces, right here.” “Venerable sir, I forgive him, if this venerable monk asks me to forgive him. And also, may he forgive me.” [6] This monk felt that Venerable Sariputra had neglected and ignored him, so he had a grudge against him, thinking: "I will cause trouble for Venerable, when he's gone." While walking, and as soon as the Venerable passed by some monks, by chance, a gust of wind blew the edge of the Venerable's robe, hitting the monk's face. This is the pretext that this monk used to complain. [7] The Buddha clearly knew that Venerable Sariputra had never hurt anyone, but he summoned everyone to erase the unjust humiliation of the Venerable.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.6/8/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
