The story of Mr. Loneliness, the great believer in the Buddha's time. Part 1 [I] Loneliness to meet Buddha and become a Disciple In the first summer, after Prince Siddhartha Gotama (Siddhatta Gotama) attained Enlightenment Buddhahood, and accepted disciples at Rajagaha. Rajagaha, the capital of Magadha, the Sangha at that time consisted of only a few people. After they heard the Buddha preach the Four Noble Truths (Catu Àriyasaccani), they all attained Arahantship (Arahatta) liberation. Those first Arahant Saints had ended their afflictions, so they lived a pure life, separated from their families, wandering around, taking the empty space or the green forest as their home, taking the hills or the countryside as their home. At that time, there was a great rich merchant, who was the brother-in-law of Solitary Monastery, took refuge in the Buddha, and witnessed the liberated, noble life of the Saint Sangha. then suggested that they ask the Buddha to allow him to build permanent monasteries. When the Buddha approved, the rich man immediately built more than sixty pure cups, to offer to the Buddha and the Saint Sangha. Asked why he created so many net cups, compared to the number of Saint Sangha who can live, the rich merchant happily replied: - I do this because I want to have many blessings! And with those original pure valleys, the first Buddhist monastery was formed, to enlighten the stage of spreading the Dharma, to welcome those with predestined conditions, who want to leave home to study, and practice good conduct. exit. (According to Cullavagga VI. 1: Skit piece No. VI. 1). One day Tu Da Level Loneliness, the rich merchant protected Manh Thuong Quan of the city of Savatthi (Sàvatthi), on a business trip through the neighboring country of Magadha (Magadha), to the capital of Vuong Xa city (Ràjagaha). As usual, he first visited his brother-in-law and also a close friend. When the Solitary Ascendant entered his brother-in-law's house, he was surprised, because no one paid any attention to him. It was a custom that every time he came, his brother-in-law and all the servants were happy to greet him cordially at the door. But today is different, all of them seem so busy that they are superficial in his presence, as if they are putting all their heart into preparing to welcome a very important person! Tu Tu Da Lonely asked his brother-in-law: - Is there a wedding in the house, or the family is preparing a great sacrifice, or news that the king is about to visit? Then the answer is only: - Tomorrow the Buddha and the Holy Sangha will come to live and give blessings. The Tuda Level of Solitude suddenly noticed and asked: - Do you say a Buddha will come? - That's right, my dear! Tomorrow, the Buddha, the Fully Enlightened One will come. The Monastic Level of Solitude reveals its excitement. He repeated that question for the second time, then the third time: - Brother, you confirm that there is a Buddha living in the area and he will come here tomorrow? - Yes! Dear Brother! That Omniscient One will come to bless this house! Currently, he is residing in Sìtavana garden, next to Truc Lam vihara, west of Vuong Xa citadel. Faced with that faith-filled answer, the Solitary Ascendant was both amazed and surprised. He shivered, took a long breath and exhaled slowly, and at the same time muttered: "Buddha is a word I have rarely heard in this world. Now I can see a Buddha in the flesh." Tu Da's brother-in-law heard that and interjected: - Today because it is dark, so I can't meet the Buddha, but tomorrow it will be for sure. That night, Tuda Level Solitude stayed at his brother-in-law's house, but his awe and impatience to meet the Buddha prevented him from sleeping well. He had woken up three times, thinking: "It must be morning" and looked outside to see the night was still thick. The last time he woke up to hear the rooster crowing, it was near dawn, so he boldly left his brother-in-law's house, intending to leave Vuong Xa Citadel, and then headed to Truc Lam Vihara. However, in the solitude of the night, fear and doubt arose in him. Because Tu Da Level Loneliness is a famous rich merchant with a lot of wealth, if he were so adventurous, it would be extremely dangerous if he encountered a dishonest ward! Therefore, his instinct to defend himself made him flinch back. Suddenly the Tuda Level of Solitude calms down, he heard in his mind there seemed to be a wonderful sound urging: "Go ahead! To meet a Buddha is never dangerous!". So he bravely went forward. After walking for a long time, he came to the edge of the Sitavana forest cluster, near Truc Lam Vihara. And in the misty dawn, the lonely Tu Tu Da Lonely suddenly saw a shadowy figure, walking silently. Tu Da Level of Solitude stopped to observe, then the pure figure turned to him, and an ethereal, gentle, indescribable voice uttered: - Come here! This good patron of the Tu Da family! Tu Da Level Loneliness was startled, extremely surprised to hear those solemn "welcome" words. Because in the area of Vuong Xa Thanh, except for his brother-in-law's family, no one knows his name. People only know him through the title Manh Thuong Quan." Hearing that pure and loving answer, Tuda Level Solitude felt extremely satisfied, and drew closer to the Buddha to hear the next noble words: - Hey, Tuda Level Loneliness! A person who has attained Perfect Enlightenment and Liberation is no longer suffering, even if it is subtle suffering. The Buddha led the path of Solitude to follow in the footsteps of his morning walk. As he walked, he explained the basic and mysterious Dharma jewels, especially those related to giving, observing the precepts, birth and death, impermanence, change, and renunciation, and then said that it was "Good karma and good deeds." "evolving consciousness" can lead people to higher realms, to be freed from the sufferings and afflictions caused by infatuation in the sensual pleasures of the world. When the Buddha of Perfection realized that the good roots of Tu Da Level of Solitude had been revealed, his character had been opened, his views were broken, his consciousness was calm, ready to absorb the Dharma, he immediately explained to him the four incomparable truths of Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths (Catu Ariyasaccani) including: 1- The Truth of Suffering: Suffering is a fact. 2- The Noble Truth: Craving, the cause of suffering, is a fact. 3- The Truth of Cessation: Nirvana, the state of extinguishing all cravings and endings of suffering, is a fact. 4- The Noble Truth: The Eightfold Path, the eightfold path leading to the extinction of all craving, is a true dharma. Thoroughly comprehending those four incomparable truths, the Wisdom Eye (or Dharma Eye: Dhammacakkhu) sees everything that arises in the mind of Tu Tua Level of Solitude, causing him to implicitly think: "Whatever is born there must be destruction." Tu Da Level Solitude is now a person who understands the truth correctly, has eliminated doubts, is confident in the path of liberation, and no longer expects any other forgiveness. And when the Buddha finished explaining the Dharma, he attained the fruit of the Sotàpatti (Sotàpatti), a saint who can only advance to the goal of liberation, but never again fall into the evil path. After that, Tu Da Level of Solitude sincerely invited the Blessed One to attend the Sangha at his brother-in-law's house tomorrow and was accepted by the Blessed One. After the meeting of the Sangha, Tu Da Leveled Loneliness immediately asked for permission from the Fully Enlightened One to allow him to build a temple dedicated to the monks to live in his city of Sa Ve. Instead of agreeing definitely, the Buddha added to his consent by noting the requester that: - This Tu Tua Level of Solitude! The Enlightened Ones only like pure places. - White Buddha, World-Honored One! I understood! I understand the Buddha's respect very well! I will choose a place near the city of Savat but not noisy. Having said that the Tuda Level of Solitude was extremely happy, because he knew that the Blessed One had indirectly accepted his request. On the way back to the city of Sàvatthi (Sàvatthi) went anywhere Tu Da Level of Solitude also informed the people of his intention to establish a temple, and he also encouraged them to prepare carefully, to welcome the Buddha once solemnly all the way from Rajagaha to the capital Kapilavatthu. When he returned to his home land, he immediately went to find a place to build a temple. Especially a place that is not far but not too close to the city. The terrain must be in accordance with the standards of the day, even if people come to it, it will not become chaotic and at night there is absolutely no noise. The temple in the future must also be a place where Buddhists from the four directions can easily visit, and at the same time it must be suitable for high monks accustomed to living in seclusion and purity. Final, Tu Da Level of Solitude has found in the hills surrounding the city of Xa Ve an area of open forest that is very suitable for the purpose of establishing a temple. This forest land currently belongs to Crown Prince Ky Da (Jeta), son of King Pasenadi (Pasenadi). The Lonely Tutu immediately went to the Prince, to ask the Prince to cede that good land. But Prince Ky Da replied: - This strip of forest land, the Prince has no intention of selling it to anyone. Then the Prince saw the expression of Tuda Level Solitude seem urgent, he continued, half joking, half serious, stating a price a hundred times higher than reality: - Even if anyone is willing to pay up to eighteen million gold coins. , the Prince version is also not sure. Tu Tu Tu Da Lonely heard that and immediately took the opportunity: - If the Prince is willing to cede the land to his subordinates, any price he can buy can be paid in gold immediately, without delay. Prince Ky Da thought he would threaten with such an exorbitant price so that Tu Tu Da Loneliness would voluntarily withdraw, but he did not expect him to announce his unconditional acceptance of the purchase, causing the Prince to become embarrassed. That confusion made Prince Ky Da not know how to solve it. On the one hand, the Prince did not want to sell the land, on the other hand, the Prince did not want to lose face for having raised a high price and then broke his word. In the end, both Prince Ky Da and the protector Grade Lone had to come to someone to act as an arbitrator. This referee, although afraid of the power of Prince Ky Da, but in his heart, respecting Tu Da Level of Solitude no less, should think of a way, suggesting that: - The Prince's land is very precious land. Those who want to buy that land must bring gold coins to cover the area of land they want to buy to determine the price to pay for the Prince. Thus a contract to sell the land was established and the negotiations ended. Later, Loneliness Tu Tu ordered his servants to use dozens of carts full of gold coins to cover the area he had chosen. However, the total amount of gold of dozens of carriages was only enough for the area of the temple land, and the entrances were not lined, so he had to send his entourage back, open the store to get more gold. While Tu Da Level Loneliness did not have time to do so, Crown Prince Ky Da, because of his gratitude for the almsgiving of the Lonely Guardian, developed the heart to dedicate the land to make a way around the temple, where the Prince would come out. ordered to build the gates, the outer perimeter and the citadel very dignified and majestic. The citadel and those gates will protect the temple, prevent noise from moving traffic axes, and also define the boundary between the sanctuary and the village outside. And the outside is a wide way to make a belt around the temple, also the Prince has planted many decorative flowers, colorful, and very beautiful ceramic tile lining! Thus, the practice of Tu Da Level of Solitude using gold to buy land to build a temple ended successfully. Next, that extraordinary great Thien Nam man also used eighteen million gold coins to build the main hall, the sanctuary and all the other necessary facilities in the temple. Such as the Sangha, the lecture hall, the sanctum, the incense burner, the corridor, the passageway, the well, the toilet, the lotus pond, the bathing place etc..! So, not long after, the open forest land became a magnificent and massive monastery, outstanding as a central sanctuary, the number one spiritual place of Buddhism, during the time when the Buddha was still alive (according to CV). VI. 4: Short story No. VI. 4). When all the architecture was completed, Tu Tu Da Lonely rushed to personally invite the Buddha and the Holy Sangha to demonstrate the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration was held very solemnly in the form of many days of monks, doing merit, offering food and four items to the saint. The first day of food offerings had just ended, when Tu Tu Da Lonely asked the Buddha to teach the most correct way of dharma, so that he could dedicate the temple just built to the perfect one, the Buddha immediately said: - Hey Tu Level of Solitude! Please dedicate this great throne to the four Sanghas of the past, present and future generations. So Tuda Level of Solitude sincerely followed the Buddha's teachings. And since then, the temple has also been named Ky Vien Tu (ie a monastery built in the center of the park of Crown Prince Ky Da). In order to praise the incomparable kindness of the sage of Solitude, the Buddha also gave a verse that said: "Create a shelter for heat, cold, wild animals, Prevent from insects, snakes, hissing, wind and rain. Avoid stormy weather, hot season drought, Let them be peaceful practice. This is a self-preservation, Tu Da vows to establish, What good conduct is better than the act of doing! The vihara built as a place of residence for the mind, Donating items is full of grace. Practicing the Buddha's practice, that's true blessings, Sowing good seeds, liberating results later. Flowers bloom when the mind stops coming in and out. In the three worlds full of sufferings of birth and death.” After the temple offering ceremony, the blessing ceremony lasted for many days, attracting all the people around the region from all walks of life. Each person who came to worship was given a gift by Tu Da Level Lonely as a souvenir, bringing the cost of the ceremony again up to eighteen million gold coins. summarizing the alms-giving of Ascendants of Loneliness in three phases: buying land, Temple construction and ceremony became a huge number of fifty-four million gold coins. He is truly an invincible Buddhist devotee! [II] A Lonely Monastery - A Lonely Dharma Consort volunteered to continue to take on the responsibility of raising the Sangha and maintaining the Ky Vien temple for the rest of his life. He provides daily four offerings to the monks. Every morning, he offered rice and water. In the afternoon, he took care of medicine, incense at the altars, and urged the servants to wash dishes, wash clothes, blankets, as well as sweep and clean the temple thoroughly. In short, what the monks could not do, he ordered his staff to complete. Especially taking care of flower gardens and shady trees, with lotus ponds, wells and swimming pools, so that the campus around the temple is always fresh and hygienic. Later, when the number of Sangha gathered at the temple and neighboring monasteries, numbered in the thousands, every day, in addition to protecting the entire Ky Vien pagoda, Tu Da Level of Solitude also invited seven hundred great monks. The bhikkhu went to the monk's house again. His house was a castle seven times high, each containing a hundred monks, so at noon, the castle looked like a holy world, because from top to bottom, there were shadows of golden robes and words of food. voice imbued with virtue. When the praise for the dharma-protecting heart, the extraordinary generosity of Tu Da Level of Solitude spread everywhere, reaching the ears of King Pasenadi. The king, wanting to compete with him for fame, asked his courtiers to invite five hundred bhikkhus to the palace to make offerings every day. One day the king intended to meet the monks to see how they would react to his generous support, but was informed by the guard that: - The food and drink of the court for the monks, although prepared and invited them to use it at their own convenience, but the monks gave it to other fervent Buddhists, and then asked them to return the offering, in accordance with the law. The king felt uncomfortable and wondered: - Royal food is the best food, not ordinary food, yet the monks did not compete with each other for longevity, to praise, but also to make gestures. strange? After that, King Tu Nac went to the Buddha to ask the reason, and the Buddha replied: - Hey, Your Majesty! Your offering to the monks inviting you to the palace has only a material form, but has no spiritual value. The officers assigned by His Majesty to do this only act because they obey orders. They obey orders to give alms to the monks such as cleaning, washing a dirty place, or obeying orders to hunt down a thief and submit it to the court, but in their hearts they do not have the minimum knowledge of goodness. all his career. Just as they have no proper respect for the Bhikkhu Sangha. In their heads, they also thought: "These old monks probably don't know what to do for a living, so they have to live off of the people!" - Hey, Your Majesty! When donating an object that the person shows that attitude, the recipient does not dare to use it with confidence, no matter how expensive the donation is! On the contrary, when exemplary benefactors such as Tu Da Level Solitude or the faithful maiden Nguyet Trang offer anything, they also act with sincerity. When the monks received it, they also used it purely and visualized that: " Those who leave home every day and are protected by good men and women, must take care of their practice to dedicate their blessings to all human beings.” Then they compassionately accept the donation. because a sincere heart is still more precious than delicious food that is given with coldness or with disdain. - Hey, Your Majesty! Surely you still remember the proverb: "Sour rice is sincerely shared with you. Together, they will also become delicious!?" (According to Jàtaka 465: The Story of Succeeding No. 465). Then, to make it easier for the king to remember, the Buddha also recited a verse that said: "Having rice is trivial, but the mind is respectful when yield to each other. Then how delicious rice is. Eat delicious rice and your mind is at peace." (N. Đ. Adapted into rhyme according to Jataka 346: The Story of the Succeeding Life No. 346) The Lonely Tutu and the Faithful Nguyet Trang are not only the two biggest benefactors of the Sangha at Sa Ve, but they are also two special Dharma protectors given to them by the Buddha. fortunately on behalf of Buddha to organize the ranks of Buddhists at that time. (According to the Jàtakas 337, 346, 465: The Student Story No. 337, 346, 465). However, Tu Da Level of Solitude, no matter how much money he had in the forest or silver in the sea, he could not avoid the law of rise and fall, impermanence and uncertainty. During a great flood, he was swept away by water all his reserves of eighteen million gold coins. Then the people who borrowed money from him totaled eighteen million other gold coins, and did not pay! His huge fortune of ninety million gold coins has already been spent three-fifths to buy land, build pagodas and perform ceremonies, and fifty-four million gold coins have already been spent (18x3=54). Now he was in a disaster and the debtors stole the remaining thirty-six million gold coins, so suddenly he became empty-handed. Once upon a time as a monastic in solitude, he is now a poor man. But the precious thing is that in the face of adversity, he continued to do his duty as a protector of the Dharma, nurturing the Sangha. The difference is that in the past he was eligible to offer full meals, but today he has something to respectfully offer to the monks, so that together they can practice and live day by day. Recalling that at that time, there was a Tho god residing in the top of the tower on the seventh floor of the Solitary Monastery building. Every time the Buddha and the Saint Sangha came, he was afraid of the saint's majesty and did not dare to stay in his high residence and had to step down to the ground. This makes him angry. Therefore, a long time ago, the god of life is always looking for a way to make Tuda Level Loneliness not invite the Buddha and the Saint Sangha to his house anymore, but he has not yet found a good opportunity. Taking the opportunity to become poor, the god of life immediately appeared in front of the housekeeper of the solitary level, saying: - Hey, friend! The sponsor is now poor, you should advise the boss not to make offerings to the monks anymore. But the housekeeper turned a blind eye and did not listen to that instigation. Tho Than became angry and turned to seduce the butler's son with the same purpose of opposing the Buddha and the monks. And then you also fail. Finally, the god of life used all his magic power, showing his true form covered with aura, in front of the owner of the house, Tu Da Level of Solitude, to advise him not to continue giving alms. Tho god cited that: "Gold and silver are precious treasures in the world, without it life would be extremely miserable. longing to meet the earth fairy who is the god of the city of Sàvatthi (Sàvatthi) to ask to go to the upper level so that he can have a new residence. But when the wish of the god of life was presented to the Four Great Heavenly Kings, these four heavenly kings were also unable to judge a life god against the three jewels, so in the end, his fate had to be placed in his hands. of the heavenly king, Sakka. Living in the scene without a definite residence, here and there the Tho god began to review what he had done, and realized that it was bad karma, so he silently regretted it. The king of heaven, Emperor De Thich, knew about it, so he let Tho Than wander for a while, until he had the courage to return to repent, he would solve it. When Tho spirit came before Emperor Thich to ask for repentance and ask for a good karma to do, to atone for sin, Emperor Thich said: - Hey, Tho god! If you stay in the house of the Solitary Ascendant, knowing in advance of all the downfalls of the householder without warning so that the householder can avoid it is an important mistake! Now, if you want to atone for your sins, you have to find a way to return the inheritance to the Lonely Tuda Level. The way of atonement was given, the Tho god was extremely happy to receive the immediate execution of the judgments of Emperor Shakyamuni to restore good. First, Tho Than used magical powers to collect all the gold coins of Tu Da Level Loneliness that had been washed away by the water into the sea. Next, the Tho god searches for ownerless hidden treasures in the ground or under water, or treasures that already have owners, but the whole family and descendants are now dead and no one inherits. After finding the god of life, he gave it all to Tu Da Level of Solitude! Finally, Tho god turned to collect debts for his patron by appearing in the dreams of debtors, using divine power to perform, told to repay Mr. Tu Da Level Loneliness etc.. Thanks to that, not long after, Tu Da Level Loneliness suddenly became rich as before. In addition to recovering the old wealth, he was also given another fifty-four million gold coins. This amount is equivalent to a total of three times the cost of buying land, building the temple and performing the ceremony, proving that the offering of the Three Jewels of Solitary Ascendant has not reduced his fortune! Then, the god of life appeared in front of the Buddha to repent, asking him to forgive the evil karma he had committed in the dark. The World-Honored One, with boundless compassion, absolved the deity of sins. He also bestowed a blessing on the god of enlightenment, and then he took refuge in becoming a disciple of the Buddha. The Buddha further explained to Tho spirit that: - A great person when he has used the Dharma of giving to become completely liberated, then there is no force in this world that can stop them, even if that stopping power comes from kings, from sages or evil spirits, from evil or good elves, and right away. both come from the god of death. (According to Jàtaka 140 and 340: Tu Sinh story number 140 and 340). After the Solitary Ascetic became a millionaire again, even richer than before, a jealous Brahmin wanted to deprive him of the "miracle" (or secret) that had saved and restored it. So quickly the fortune of the Monastic Level of Solitude. He immediately thought of Siri. (According to Brahmin civilization, the god of fortune Siri appears in the form of a "good omen" in someone's house, that person will become rich.) So what must be done by the evil brahmin, is to find a way to usurp that "divine fortune" or good omen and bring it to his house, then naturally he will become rich. This also reflects the belief of the Brahmin believers that: Whoever is rich in the world is because of finding "signals", ie god of fortune or fortune (also known as auspicious omen) sent to the earth by God. . Not the present wealth is due to reaping the good results from our good karma created in the previous life as the Buddha taught! In other words, "genius of wealth" is a kind of "yin army" of God scattered on earth. Those who seek to usurp or seduce, keep the appearances of these "underworld soldiers" in their home, will become rich. Thinking about it, the Brahmin came to the house of the Monastic Level of Solitude. He asked permission to go inside to observe and look for the signal of the god of wealth. Thanks to his knowledge of divination and the ability to divination, he immediately saw the god of fortune "lying". in a white-feathered rooster, protected by a very dear Tu Da Level Loneliness, kept in a golden cage. The Brahmin immediately asked for the white-feathered rooster, citing that he would use its morning rooster to wake the disciples. With the practice of giving alms, Tu Da Level of Solitude did not hesitate to give the chicken. But at that moment the "signal of fortune" left the chicken and entered a pearl on the owner's shirt. When the Brahmin knew about the incident, he turned to ask for the pearl, and he saw that the "god of wealth" dropped the pearl and entered it into the staff of Tutu Level Solitude. Again he asked for a cane, and the "god of wealth" moved to the hair of the first lady Tu Tua Level of Solitude, named Punnalakkhana, a woman of great merit and always protected by invisible gods. guard. When the Brahmin saw the first lady Punnalakkhana, he was startled and panicked, saying to himself: "Die pregnant! Now the god of wealth is lying in the hair of the first lady Tu Da Lonely, and there are gods again protect us, we will run out of ways to take it." Finally, the Brahmin in shame confessed his malice to the owner, returned the chicken, the pearl and the staff, and left. When Tuda Level of Solitude visited the Buddha and told him everything related to the Brahmin who knew something of a mess that he didn't understand at all, he heard the Buddha explain that: - This Tuda Level Loneliness! People's centering can enable them to display some special abilities. - Hey Tu Tu Level Loneliness! If human physical abilities could be more convenient, faster, more precise, and more advanced, thanks to sophisticated tools or machines, their spiritual abilities can also be more miraculous, thanks to the virtues of maturity, purity, and holiness. - Further, this Tu Da Level of Solitude! Nirvana is a transcendent quality for ordinary people and those who have not been free of defilements. But Nirvana is a very obvious and practical dharma for those who are fully liberated. (According to Jàtaka 284: The Student's Story No. 284). The Monastic Level of Solitude inherently had an extremely attentive devotion to the Buddha. He thought of all forms of blessing directed towards the Buddha. When the Perfectly Enlightened One was near him at home, in the city of Sa Ve, he would go to Ky Vien Tu to worship daily. But when the Master had to go far away, dragging his heels to preach the Dharma in other places, what should he do? So an idea of creating a means to indirectly pay respect to the Buddha at Sāvatthi popped up in his mind. One day Tu Da Level of Solitude said to Venerable Ananda that: "He wants to build an architecture dedicated to the Buddha near Ky Vien Temple". Then through the intermediary of the Venerable Ananda, he heard the Buddha teach: - There are three forms of architecture to commemorate a Buddha's teachings for a long time. These are the Stupa (or temple), the Monument, and the Holy Land: 1/ The stupa (or temple) is for the placement of relics, left by the Buddha's body. For example, relics or precious ashes after cremation of the deceased, etc. 2/ Monuments are used to store the Buddha's belongings that were used at least once at the time of his birth. Such as the bowl, the Bodhi tree. 3/ The holy place is used to evoke images symbolizing the appearance and activities of the Buddha while in the world. Of these three forms of indirect worship, the first is not available, because the Blessed One is still alive. The third is also not appropriate, because the Holy Land conjures up images representing the appearance and activities of the Buddha, valid only after the Buddha has passed away! The second form of indirect worship is "Buddha use" (or Buddha's utensils) that can be created. Tu Da Level of Solitude immediately thought of the Bodhi tree in Uruvela, near the Ni Lien River (Anoma), which the Buddha used to cover the sun and rain, to find the way to liberation and to save suffering for himself and all sentient beings. . It was under this Bodhi tree that he found and opened the door to immortality. Thinking about the value of such objects, finally Tu Da Loneliness decided to bring a branch of Bodhi, from the place where the Buddha attained enlightenment, and plant it in Sāvatthi. Venerable Dai Muc Kien Lien, knowing the good intentions of Tu Da Level Loneliness, immediately volunteered to use his divine powers to extract a branch of Bodhi from Bodh Gaya, The edge of the Uruvela forest (Ku Hanh Lam) in the country of Magadha (Magadha) brought it to Xa Ve. (Translator's addition: The distance from Sa Ve city to Bodh Gaya is very long. Today, if you go by car, you will have to run for a whole day to arrive. Besides, at that time, farming techniques were not dark. A branch of Bodhi tree that can be transported by horse or chariot under the scorching sun of Central India is unlikely to survive until it is planted. This is the reason why Venerable Dai Dai Muc Kien Lien had to use supernatural powers, an ability that the Holy Sangha used only in cases of obligation.Recalling the planting of the Bodhi tree at the great Ngo gate at Ky Vien pagoda in Xa Ve city. of the Buddha and the Holy Sangha, there was also the presence of the King Pasanna, Venerable Ananda looked at the Great Saint Muc Kien Lien and saw that he had disappeared. Then, just a moment later, he reappeared in his original form, holding a fresh young Bodhi branch in his hand, as if it had just been extracted from the trunk of the mother tree a few seconds ago. Venerable Ananda wanted to uphold the rulership of a king in their territory, so he took the young Bodhi tree in the hands of the great saint Muc Kien Lien and handed it over to King Pasena. But King Tu Nac quickly humbly said: - Bach, the World-Honored One and the Holy Sangha! I am only the head of the kingdom in terms of life. As for the way, it is the Solitude of Sora who is the only lay person worthy to plant this holy Bodhi seed in our territory. So, I propose to give that honor to Tutu Level Loneliness." So the Bodhi tree was planted in the center of the construction site, the main gate leading to the Ky Vien Temple. And time quietly passed by the Bodhi tree first, Ky Vien pagoda is getting taller and taller every day, with luxuriant branches and leaves, giving shade and reminding people of good will to remember the scene where the Buddha became enlightened. In order to enhance the meaning of the presence of the Bodhi tree in Ky Vien Pagoda, Venerable Ananda also invited the Buddha to sit at the foot of this Bodhi tree to bless the gods and make the place grow more and more. holiness, purity. As for Tu Da Level of Solitude, since the day the Bodhi tree was present in front of Ky Vien, he considered it as a second image of the Buddha, especially when the Fully Enlightened One went to transform the Way far away. Monastic Loneliness used the Bodhi tree as a meditation subject every day, and he stabilized his soul through an image closest to Buddha's enlightenment.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL.GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.13/7/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
