The Suttas of the Lonely World (Anàthapindiko and da sutta). Tho Tuong. Like this I hear. At one time, the Blessed One was staying at Savatthi (Sāvatthi), Jetavana (), in his monastery Anathapindika (Level of Solitude). At that time, the layman Alone was sick, suffering, and seriously ill. Then the laity of Solitude called to a person: — Come here, friend. Go to the Blessed One; after coming, in my name, bowed down to the Blessed One's feet and said thus: "World Honored One, the laity of Solitude is sick, suffering, seriously ill. The Solitude would bow down to the Blessed One's feet." Then went to Venerable Sariputta (Sariputra), after arriving, bowed in my name to Venerable Sariputta and said as follows: "Venerable Venerable Sariputta, the lay follower of Solitude is sick, suffering, suffering from illness. serious illness. The Solitary One bows down to venerable Sariputta and says thus: "It would be good, venerable sir, if Venerable Sariputta out of compassion,go to the abode of the solitary layman.” — Yes, venerable sir. He obeyed the layman Alone, went to the Blessed One and, having bowed down to the Blessed One's feet, sat down to one side. Sitting down to one side, that person said to the Blessed One: "Venerable One, the laity of Solitude is sick, suffering, seriously ill. Please bow to the feet of the Blessed One. Then he went to the venerable Sariputta, and having paid homage to the venerable Sariputta, sat down to one side. Sitting down to one side, he said to Venerable Sariputta: - Venerable Master, the lay follower of Solitude is sick, suffering, and seriously ill. Please bow your head respectfully to Venerable Sariputta and say as follows: "Venerable Venerable It would be good if the venerable Sariputta, out of compassion, went to the abode of the laity of Solitude." Venerable Sariputta silently accepted. Then the venerable Sariputta put on his robe, took the bowl and robe, and accompanied by the venerable Ananda as his attendant, went to the abode of the solitary layman.Upon arrival, he sat down on the prepared seat. After sitting, Venerable Sariputta spoke to the lay follower of Solitude. — Hey, layman, I hope you can be patient; I hope you can endure. I hope that suffering is reduced, not increased, the reduction is obvious, there is no increase. — Venerable Sariputta, I cannot endure, I cannot endure. My suffering increases, there is no reduction; marked increase, no reduction. Venerable Sariputta, like an athlete beheading (another person) with a sharp sword; Likewise, venerable Sariputta, terrible winds blow up in my head. Venerable Sariputta, I cannot endure, I cannot endure. My sufferings increase, there is no reduction; marked increase, no reduction. Venerable Sariputta, like an athlete who takes a hard leather belt around his head and tightens it; Also, Venerable Sariputta, I feel a terrible headache. Venerable Sariputta, I cannot endure, I cannot endure. My sufferings increase, there is no reduction; marked increase, no reduction. Venerable Sariputta, like a skilled butcher or a butcher's disciple cuts across the abdomen with a sharp beef knife; also, venerable Sariputta, a terrible wind cut through my stomach. Venerable Sariputta, I cannot endure, I cannot endure. My sufferings increase, there is no reduction; marked increase, no reduction. Venerable Sariputta, if two strong men, after grasping the arm of the weaker one, grill him, burn him in a pit of burning coals; Likewise, venerable Sariputta, a terrible heat arose in my body. Venerable Sariputta, I cannot endure, I cannot endure. My sufferings increase, there is no reduction; marked increase, no reduction. —Therefore, lay follower, learn thus: 'I will not cling to the eye, and I will not have consciousness depending on the eye'. Hey layman, learn thus. Therefore, householder, learn thus: "I will not cling to the base of boundless space, and I will not have consciousness as it dwells in the base of boundless space." Hey layman, learn thus. Therefore… “I will not cling to the base of boundless consciousness… I will not cling to the base of nothingness… I will not cling to the base of neither perception nor non-perception, and I will not have consciousness based on neither perception nor non-perception land". Hey layman, learn thus. Therefore, householder, learn thus: 'I will not cling to the world here and I will not have the consciousness to abide in the world here'. Hey layman, learn thus. Therefore… “I will not cling to the other world, and I won't have the consciousness to go to another world." Hey layman, learn thus. Therefore, lay person, learn thus: "I will not cling to what is seen, heard, felt, cognized, hoped for, or killed with the mind, and I will not have consciousness is based on the dharmas (above)”. Hey layman, learn thus. When he heard this, the lay laity of Solitude wept and shed tears. Then the venerable Ananda said to the lay laity, Loneliness: - Are you struggling to live, or are you sinking (death)? — Venerable Ananda, I am not struggling to live, I am sinking into death. Although I have served the Guru for a long time, and though I have been close to bhikkhus who have trained in will power, I have never heard such a sermon at one time. "Lady, this kind of teaching is not addressed to lay people wearing white robes. Hey Layman,Such sermons speak for monastic goods. "Therefore, venerable Sariputta, preach the Dharma thus to lay people dressed in white. Dear Venerable Sariputta, there are good men born with not much defilement, if they do not listen to the Dharma, they will fall down; but if they hear it, they can know the (Right) Dharma. Then the Venerable Sariputta and the Venerable Ananda, after teaching the laity to Solitude with the discourse, got up from their seats and left. Then the lay follower Ananda, shortly after the departure of Venerable Sariputta and Venerable Ananda, the body broke up with death, and after the breakup of the body after death, he was reborn in the Tusita realm. Then, when the night was near, when the whole scene of Jetavana was shining brightly, he went to the Blessed One and, having come to pay homage to him, stood to one side. Stand aside,The Son of Solitude said to the Blessed One the following stanza: "Jetavana Forest, Beautiful and blessed, Blessed by the gods, the Sangha, Who frequents and dwells, To whom the Dharma King dwells, bestows me with joy. Karma, wisdom and Dharma, Precepts, supreme life, It is through the above dharmas, Make living beings pure, Not due to caste, Not due to property. Therefore, the sage, Seeing his purpose clearly, Reflecting on the righteous Dharma, Be purified here. Like Sariputta, In terms of wisdom, morality, and tranquility, Whatever bhikkhu, Having reached the other shore, Be supreme among the above-mentioned dharmas." So said the God of Solitude. The Master agreed. Then the Son of Solitude thought: "The Master agrees with me." After paying homage to the Blessed One, his right body turned towards him and disappeared on the spot. Then the Blessed One, when that night was over, called to the bhikkhus: "Monks, tonight, a son of God,when the night was almost over, illuminating the whole scene of Jetavana with excellent color came to Me, after coming to pay respects to Me, then stood to one side. Standing to one side, that Son of Heaven spoke to Me the following verse: "Jetavana Forest, Beautiful and blessed, Blessed by the gods, the Sangha, Who frequents and dwells, To whom the Dharma King dwells, Rejoices ta. Karma, wisdom and Dharma, Precepts, supreme life, It is through the above dharmas, Make living beings pure, Not due to caste, Not due to property. Therefore, the sage, Seeing his purpose clearly, Reflecting on the righteous Dharma, Be purified here. Like Sariputta, In terms of wisdom, morality, and tranquility, Whatever bhikkhu, Having reached the other shore, Be supreme among the above-mentioned dharmas." Having said this, bhikkhus, that heavenly son thought: 'The Master approves of me', having bowed down to the right body facing me, then disappeared on the spot. When he heard this, the venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: "World-Honored One, is he the Son of Solitude? White World Honored One, the lay follower of Solitude has unwavering faith in Venerable Sariputta. — Good, good, Ananda! What can be achieved by contemplation has been achieved, Ananda. It is Loneliness that is the Son of God, no one else. Thus the Blessed One preached. Venerable Ananda gladly accepted the words of the Blessed One.What can be achieved by contemplation has been achieved, Ananda. It is Loneliness that is the Son of God, no one else.
