Ten Goods. People are drifting in samsara also because of creating evil karma, those karmas are born from actions (body), words (speech), and thoughts (mind) that arise; In order to eliminate evil karma, the Buddha said the Sutra of Ten Good Things (Ten Good Karmas), it is all good roots, will have a good body, in a pure state, dignified, complete achievements. II. Ten Good Things: The Buddha said this Sutra of Ten Good Things in the palace of Ta Kiet La Long Vuong. In this Dharma assembly, the Buddha called Ta Kiet La Long Vuong and taught that: "All sentient beings, because of their different minds, create different karmas; because of that karma, sentient beings are reincarnated in the 6 paths. Dragon King !You Have you seen that this assembly in this assembly and all sentient beings' bodies and appearances are different? are all caused by the mind creating bodily karma, speech and mental karma, either good or bad. Those who have wisdom, clearly know the principle of cause and effect like this, should cultivate good karma, because only by cultivating good karma will they feel a good body and a dignified state. Dragon King! You try to see the physical appearance of the Tathagata and the Bodhisattvas, who have all these good signs and bright rays, all come from cultivating good karma. As for all living beings of form, either bad or good, or big or small, each person is caused by his own mind creating unwholesome karma. Therefore, if you know how to cultivate good karma and teach people to understand cause and effect and practice good karma, the decisive moment will be free from evil retributions, have a beautiful body, and dignify the country like Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. . Dragon King! You must know that the bodhisattva has a dharma that can end all suffering in the evil paths, is that the Bodhisattva always observes the practice of good dharma, makes the good dharmas of mindfulness grow; There is not a single evil thought intermingled, so all evil dharmas are completely eliminated, and all good dharmas are perfected…” Good dharma means good dharma: All the paths and fruits of sravakas, pratyekabuddhas, bodhisattvas, and buddhas all follow. That dharma is accomplished. That dharma is the ten good karmas including: Don't kill, Don't engage in sexual misconduct, Don't steal, Don't lie, Don't talk falsely, Don't speak with two-way tongues, Don't speak cruelly, Don't be greedy. These ten good karmas fall into three categories: Body Karma, Speech Karma, and Mind Karma. is not to destroy the life of all species, not to destroy oneself, not to send others to kill, to see other people kill does not give rise to joy; On the contrary, Buddhists have to find ways to save living beings, such as buying birds, buying fish to let them live a free life, without being caught in cages and pots. Fish raised in pots, birds kept in their lap, even though they have enough to eat and drink, they can't be free, unlike the situation where people are imprisoned, we don't want to be imprisoned, why do we imprison them? , we want to be free always, we should buy birds and fish to set them free. b) Do not steal: Do not appropriate for your part the possessions of others from land, houses, fields, gardens, vehicles, which are great things for even small things such as needles and threads, nor rob others. other. People who do not agree to give, seek to appropriate, and freely take and use also belong to theft. Using force to rob others is a crime of robbery, using deceitful means to deceive people, Even tax evasion also belongs to theft, all such wrongdoings are not done, on the contrary, bringing their own money and means to help sentient beings be happy and prosperous is a worthy donation. do. c) No sexual misconduct: That is, not living a debauched life, playing games, gambling, drinking, smoking books. On the contrary, they must practice abstinence in purity, monks forbid sexual misconduct, married lay people must abstain from sex, live only in monogamy, pure from body to spirit. Evil desires are the root of cyclical birth and death, Buddhist practitioners must gradually give up evil desires to become pure people. B) Oral Karma: Belonging to oral karma, there are four ways: a) Don't lie: That is, don't tell the truth such as: You can't see, you can't see, you can't see. Listen, don't listen, don't listen, don't listen. Know to say don't know, don't know to say know. Know left and right, know what to say. When we encounter a special case where we have to tell the truth to save the lives of sentient beings, we are forced to say, for example, there is a hunter chasing an animal, we see the way that animal runs, the hunter comes to us. , asked me if I saw the animal running, in order to save the animal from death, I could say not. Thus, we have practiced compassion. Talking and playing should not be said, in the Di Dao Sutra, the Buddha banned any comment. b) Do not speak harsh words: Do not curse people, even if they are superiors and have power, like grandparents, parents should not rely on that power to scold people or children, even if they make mistakes. mistakes, on the contrary should use gentle words, teach people to see mistakes, to avoid next time. c) Don't talk nonsense: Don't add or subtract things to say yes or no. using odd words to make the story false with the truth of white to black, black to white, or using ornate and polished words to seduce and harm people, these things should not be done, on the contrary, correct words should be spoken. be true to your heart. d) Do not say two-way tongues: Do not say shock, go to Party A to speak ill of Party B, to Party B to speak ill of Party A, for the purpose of causing division, making the two parties hostile to each other. Instead, use words to neutralize all enmity. C) Mind Karma: Thoughts and fantasies have 3 ways of creating mind karma: a) Not covetous: Not coveting the five pleasures in life: Beauty, wealth, fame, sleep, and eating. The desire for beauty costs money, sometimes it has to use bad tricks to lose human quality, when it is not satisfied, it causes jealousy, hatred, killing, imprisonment. Greed for wealth must torment the body to make a lot of money, often have to use deep tricks and poisons to harm people who take possessions. Greed for fame has to go in and out, sometimes it takes a lot of work to get a illusory name. Greed for delicious food makes the body susceptible to disease. Greed for sleep makes the brain dull. The five pleasures that make people imprisoned, sin, are the main cause of binding people in samsara. Not only should cultivators know how to abstain from sex, but also know how to be content, that is to say, gradually limit their desires and desires. They should only live a temporary life, not competing with life. Even though they only need to be warm enough, where they just need to have a place to lie down to avoid rain, sun, and toxic wind, those people are not bound by material things, they will be quickly liberated. b) No anger: Anger is a bad character, very harmful, it is like a strong fire, Burn everything around you and people. In the Buddhist scriptures, it is said: A single thought of anger and hatred will open, and the hundreds of thousands of doors of karma will open. When he was angry, he burned all the forest of merit." In the Ten Thien Kamma Sutra, those who are not angry will receive the following eight mental dharmas: No heartache, no heart, no anger. The mind is competitive. The mind is gentle and straight. The heart is as compassionate as the Buddha. Often benefits and secures all living beings. The body is dignified, sentient beings are respectful. Having the virtue of patience, they are quickly reborn in the Brahma world. Through contemplation of compassion, the mind generates compassion, we do not get angry when someone makes us angry, those who do it to make us angry, because of ignorance, they do so. we should love them, only a loving heart can tolerate and forgive the mistakes of others c) Not delusional: Ignorance is the source of all sins, because delusion people do not distinguish right from wrong, do not clearly identify right and wrong, cling to their own understanding, it obscures the truth and truth. Those who are not delusional are those who have wisdom, practice good karma, should contemplate the cause and effect of birth and death to eliminate ignorance, and be diligent on the path to liberation. III. Conclusion: The Buddha taught the Ten Good Karma Sutras to let us get rid of our sins, rekindle and gradually increase our good karma, to gradually release the bonds in samsara and gradually progress to Buddhahood. Practicing the ten good deeds, we can do the following benefits: Reforming body and mind: First of all, we reform our body and mind, if a person makes a vow, within 7 years, his body and mind will completely changed. Improving the situation: One who practices the ten virtues, he will be able to touch the people around him, he will eat well, he will be loved by others, there will be no competition, will neutralize jealousy and envy, create peace for everyone. . Righteous people in the heavenly world: To practice the ten good things is to sow righteous causes, so that in the next life, they will be reborn in heaven and enjoy full and good happiness. Fundamentals of Buddhahood: All Buddhas in the three generations and ten directions have to undergo the practice of practicing the ten good things, it is the gateway to lead people gradually to Buddhahood. Because ignorance obscures wisdom, our body, speech, and mind create many evil deeds, and evil deeds in the world become ten kinds of evil karma, if we want to eliminate it, we should not do evil, of course we can create it. good karma, currently benefiting sentient beings, being loved by everyone, creating a happy and peaceful environment, avoiding the suffering of the three sufferings, also enjoy blessings in the human realm, heaven and nirvana. Cultivating ten good things with such immediate benefits, not only for us but also for sentient beings, in this life as well as in the future, practitioners should follow the important path indicated by the Buddha.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.23/2/2023.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
