The Meaning Of The Old Woman Offering Lamps During the Buddha's Time. There are two types of lamps: 1. The lamp of wisdom: symbolizing the "Buddha mind Buddha nature" of each human being, everyone is available, equal, without exception. Only ordinary people have the mind to distinguish between classes, superiors, inferiors, superiors and inferiors, so they generate defilements. The meaning of offering lamps with a pure mind, baiting the light of wisdom from the torch of the Buddha Dharma. In addition, do not ask for anything personal for the ego (ego), do not ask the Buddhas to give you anything and do not calculate more than losing fame and gain. That is the heart that makes offerings to the Buddha Dharma, pure and pure, because people are not for their own sake, or for their own family (called the perfection of offering), so it is compatible with the minds of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. That lamp of merit, full of compassion and wisdom burns forever with time. 2. Secular lamp: Symbolizes ostentatious wealth, although rich in oil, luxury, and expensive, but sometimes has to run out and fade away. For example, wealth is rich, blessed, but when you enjoy it all, or at the end of life, you have to give up and lose everything according to the law of impermanence. People in the world, when offering lamps with the mind asking for blessings, asking for many things from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, wishing for wealth and comfort (offering for fame and profit) for themselves, will only receive blessings. possession in a short period of time. The worldly lamp with a lot of afflictions, greed and selfishness cannot burn for a long time. Those are the very few blessings that make people drift forever in the samsara of the six paths. Those who practice the Way must experience great generosity, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity, while offering flowers, fruits, incense, lamps, should develop the mind to seek enlightenment of the current Dharma for themselves and for all sentient beings, to attain Buddhahood. Cultivate the mind to correct the nature, not despise people, help the world to do good, forgive and tolerate. It is the righteous vows of those who develop the mind to follow the Buddha and practice the Bodhisattva path.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.21/11/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
