The Buddha explained cause and effect: A cow kills 3 people in one day. In the Buddhist sutra "Dharma Example Sutra - Book 1" there is a story about a past life recorded. Buddha taught people about cause and effect, bad behavior will lead to terrible consequences. King Pujasa recited the "Twelve Two Dependent Sutras" and attained enlightenment about the five desires, which he had previously arduously pursued. These are: wealth, form, name, real, lobe (property, sex, fame, eating, drinking, sleeping). It turns out that they are all the root of all afflictions, and they simply cannot fill the lust pit in the mind. So, the king made a great decision, he summoned his courtiers and declared the throne to the crown prince. And he shaved his head and left home, vowing to practice in accordance with Buddha. One day, when the monk Pujasa came to the city of Vesha for alms,Unexpectedly, as soon as he reached the gate of the city, he was killed by a newborn cow. When the owner of the cow saw that the cow he raised was killing people, he couldn't help but be afraid and thought that it was an animal that brought bad luck. He immediately decided to sell the cow. Then someone bought this cow. When this man led the cow to the river to drink water, the cow attacked the new owner from behind, the bull's horns stuck in, causing him to die. The new owner's son was very angry when he heard the news, as soon as he saw the cow, he immediately slaughtered it. Then, carry the beef to the market to sell. At that time, there was a villager who loved to eat cow heads, so he bought cow heads. When he was more than a mile away from home, he decided to sit under a tree by the side of the road to rest. After a while, the bull's head hanging from the tree suddenly broke the rope and fell straight down to hit this man's head. The bull's horn was inserted, causing the man to die on the spot. King Pingsha, a close friend of King Pujasa, was amazed to hear that an ox could kill three people in a row in one day. He saw that everything happened for a reason, so he led the officials to the Buddha's presence. After paying respects to the Buddha, King Bình-sa recounted the main purpose of his visit. He wanted to know how a cow could kill three people in one day, including cause and effect and what cause led to the terrible retribution today. After King Binhsa respectfully asked the Buddha to teach, he slowly explained. The story is as follows: It turns out, in a previous life, there were three merchants who went to another country to do business together. Once, they stayed at the house of an elderly woman who lived alone.Originally, the three merchants had to pay for food and accommodation for the old woman, but when they saw that the old woman lived alone, they had a heart of stealing. Finally, the three quietly left while the old woman went out. When she returned, the old woman was surprised to see no sign of the merchants, so she ran to ask the neighbors. When she heard that the three of them had secretly left, she was both unwilling and very angry, so she hurriedly chased after them. After exhausting her chase, she finally caught up with the other three. When she saw them, she angrily scolded them and demanded immediate payment of accommodation and meals. However, since these three merchants chose to sneak away without paying, they of course denied it and refused to pay. Even the three of them distorted the truth and blamed the old woman for being too greedy: "Old lady, we have already paid, why are you still running after us?". As soon as they finished speaking, they immediately attacked and cursed at her.The old woman was alone, helpless, and had to endure being bullied. She told the three merchants: "I'm just a poor old woman with no support, yet you cruelly bullied me, even dared to beat me up. I'm old and have no strength left to claim. righteous, but all the crimes you have committed today on me, I will not forgive you. I swear that, as long as we meet again in the next life, I will definitely kill you. When I practice and attain the Way, I also have to take your lives, and I will not give up." The Buddha said that she would be a cow in this life. After the Buddha finished telling the story, he told King Binhsa that, in this life, the old woman was that cow, and the three merchants were King Phatyasa, who bought the cow and the buyer. cow head. The Buddha continued to teach, he said: "Using cruel words to slander, slander,Bullying others, will breed resentment. If you use humble and respectful words to treat others, you will not only not create evil karma but also not generate resentment. So speaking evil words is like holding a sharp ax in your mouth, when evil words come out, it will obviously hurt others and yourself.” After King Binhsa and his group listened to the Buddha's teachings, they were more deeply impressed and understood the principle of cause and effect. The crowd could not help but rejoice and sincerely thank the Buddha's teaching.like holding a sharp ax in your mouth, when evil words come out, it will obviously hurt others and yourself.” After King Binhsa and his group listened to the Buddha's teachings, they were more deeply impressed and understood the principle of cause and effect.
