people in particular.
Introduction
Buddhism was introduced, more than 25 centuries, but
the teachings of Buddha was contained breathing era and does not seem to be
dependent on the change in space and time.
One of the basic tenets of Buddhism is important
Eightfold Path (path eight branches - Middle), contained in the texts
Zhuan Falun - the first sermon of the Buddha. Sermon became the focus of
attention, in which the meaning of the attitude of tolerance, tolerant, avoid
extreme or outrageous (ANTA), Lao Tzu and Confucius were shared in the concept
of "centrist" or "neutral", and make remote Greece, this idea is also shared by
Aristotle, the concept of "harmony". This seems to be a topical issue, help us to be alert
to the temptations of contemporary life, to seek a life of peace and
tranquility.
Catechism of the Four Noble Truths with four truth
beyond any effects of external conditions, discusses the nature of human lives
and the ability to overcome all the suffering of the people has become the
motivation and confidence of humanity, against all the vicissitudes of life
still believe in a bright future of mankind in general and people in
particular.
Middle Way and the Four Noble Truths more meaningful
than when it was first sermon Buddha said shortly after the Supreme Bodhi
enlightenment, demonstrates an unparalleled intellectual newly awakened after a
long time dreamless propelled into the realms of life and
death.
Therefore, understanding the Madhyamaka teachings and
the Four Noble Truths, and the birth of prayer sermon meant not only theoretical but also practical
practice of each Buddhists, thereby determining the path and purpose to clear
before the first set of hybrid nature of the materials
themselves.
Background activity ideas
led to the creation of
texts
Researchers consider the situation when the academic
activities the Buddha, often divided into two separate movements: fundamentalism
and non-mainstream movement. Fundamentalist Vedas and Upanishads taken as the
classics; the movement against economic differences or
Veda and Upanishads are considered non-mainstream or orthodox
reaction.
One way to classify
other, more detailed, divide the movement thought that the 4 main categories:
orthodox Brahmin, folk religious fundamentalism, fundamentalism took Veda and
Upanishads as the main idea but have developed More like Yoga, Number of
argument, the reason ... and finally the non-Orthodox movements.
In addition, there are a number of researchers, based
on the scriptures of Buddhism, namely economic Sa gift , it comes in the classic six schools that are often
referred to as "Professor Luc pagan sect":
1. Phu-lan-na Ca-lettuce (Purana Kassapa): that evil
work is not customary to have a corresponding industrial base, so do not believe
anything cynical all.
2. Mat-old-le-la-amnesty Question (Makkholi Gosala):
only natural, all evil deeds, even liberating thing complies with the laws of
nature, humans can not decide or attempt anything.
3. A
multi-di-Page-sa-respect-her-la (Ajita Kesakambali): Materialism comment policy.
People from
the four constituent, are all dead, so enjoy the pleasures, reject
morality.
4. Match-momentum Ca-fried-dien (Pukudha Kaccayana):
advocates idealism, that things eternal mind, the life and death of people just
gather the spread of the human form factor, while the Factors that shall never
be destroyed.
5. Approves Pi-anonymous-da-la-le-mail (Sanyaya
bellatthyputta): advocates of inspiration, if you feel that way, say to the
world of phenomena, there is no assertion or not, right or
wrong.
6. Ni-Gandhara Nha-problem-mail (Nigandha netaptta):
Comment guidelines destiny, use it as a basis to illustrate all. As for the practice, then
take the extreme asceticism and moral habit do any damage
characteristics.
In general, the academic activities era Buddha was
born, Indian philosophical thought has evolved strong, diverse topics, rich in
schools rather than in economic unity Veda and Upanishads before. The school was born during this period can be
compared to mid-spring blossoming flowers, each school has to explain how
different, sometimes opposing each other in explaining the nature of the world
as well as the implementations that lead to final liberation. The boom not only create
the premise for Buddhism in the collected essence of other schools but also as a
basis for additional Buddhism, revise and fix the advantages and disadvantages
of the different schools of thought , formed a new religion - Buddhism, has
inherited the tradition, both new ones, creating fundamental turning point in
the mainstream of Indian philosophy.

a) Critique misconceptions of
sectarianism
Opening Sutta, the Buddha said:
"This, O Bhikkhus, there are two extremes (ANTA) that
household goods (pabbajitena) to avoid ..."
The concept of extreme (ANTA) is just an attitude
concept extreme, outrageous or extreme; and the concept of renunciation (pabbajitena) is only
those who renounce worldly path, cut from loving yourself and seek the path of
liberation.
Once started preaching his 5 brothers and Kondanna
particular those seeking the path of liberation in general, Buddha's message is
right that those ordained should abandon the path of two extreme or outrageous ;
In other
words, the Buddha criticized the two paths are the wrong way, do not lead to
ultimate liberation. Two paths that are:
1. The slack effort in sensual - is vile, vulgar,
profane, not worthy of the saint's virtues, and useless.
2. coherent style of asceticism - is painful,
unworthy of the saint's virtues, and useless.
The first path is the path of passionate and sensual
pleasure and excesses second path is the path immersed in austerity, excessive
pain. Here
are two paths Buddha warned not to bring home people the fully
liberated.
It should be added that, at the time of Shakyamuni
Buddha was alive, and even before the birth of Lord Buddha, India has existed
for many schools or different teachings to seek the path of liberation.
But high
achievement, attitude towards life often revolves around two main paths: one is
sensual indulgence and two are rejected every desire.
One of the doctrines advocated enjoy all the
pleasures of the earth is the doctrine Lokayata - Pali and Sanskrit - refers
materialism materialism or by Carvakas founder. In view of this doctrine, people
are dying off, leaving all the power of life and only present life is real,
therefore, the advocates of this theory says: " Eat , drink and enjoy all the pleasures, because
death comes to all ", and that:
"Ethics is an illusion, only pleasure is reality.
Death is the end of life. Religion is a foolish aberration, a mental disease.
There is a distrust of all that is good, noble, pure and compassionate. Their
theory advocated sexual gratification, and rugged good record, confirmed wills
obscene. No need to control passion and instinct because it is the natural
heritage of the people ".
Meanwhile, some schools promote rigorous ascetic
life. They
said that only new austerity may lead people to rescue. This doctrine is the majority of
the practice of many different schools accept. Even the Buddha Sakyamuni and
his five brothers Kondanna previously also had a hugh such practice for 6 years
but still not achieve ultimate liberation.
Criticism two undertakings, the Buddha said that both
are useless, useless, unworthy of the dignity of the
saints.
b) What are the main teachings
of the Buddha's first sermon. The doctrine of the Middle Way or Path eight
branches
Shortly after the policy was criticized two extreme
pleasure and extreme asceticism, Buddha gave the third way is the Middle Way
(Majjhima Patipada). "Abandoning that both extremes,
the Tathagata has realized" Middle Way "(Majjhima Patipada), is the way to bring
perspective (cakkhu) and knowledge (nana) and lead to peace (vupasamaya),
supreme wisdom (abhinnaya), enlightenment (sambhodhaya), and Nirvana
"
Middle Way is not the path that lies between these
two extremes is the way to rise above two extremes. Dictionary of Buddhist concept:
"The meaning of non-duality, is absolutely perfect
treat, but item is non-war song, is not religion neutral bias to one
side", which means that the middle
path put an end to treat as often-segment binary; yes no; right left
...
In the later stages of development of the Buddhist
understanding of the Middle Way has many different opinions, as France's
Minister for Middle Consciousness-Only, Three arguments for the Middle Eight
estate, the Food Minister Tendai is Middle Way, Flower Adornment for the Middle
French world ... However, in doing Zhuan Falun Buddha asserted that the middle path is the
eightfold path or eight branches.
In the talk:
"This, O Bhikkhus, the middle way realized by the
Tathagata, the road brings vision, knowledge and lead to peace, supreme wisdom,
enlightenment and nirvana is what?
It is the Noble Eightfold Path - is Right (samma
ditthi), Right Thought (Samma samkappa), Right Speech (samma vaca), Right
Livelihood (samma kammanta), Right Livelihood (samma ajiva), Right Effort (samma
vayama ), Sati (samma sati), and Right Concentration (samma samadhi).
This, O
Bhikkhus, that's "Middle Way" that the Tathagata has realized
".
The first element of the Noble Eightfold Path is
Right, the understanding of the true, to destroy all those skeptical of the old
fellow on Buddha's teaching, but also want to raise a critical assessment of
teachings of Buddha are: objects need to find a genuine, that is seen as the
object itself can lead to the following statements. No show proper, ie objects with
eyes looking subjective or emotional bias can lead to errors in the assessment.
To be
perceived as real or true, to remove wrong perceptions, thoughts, traditions,
customs, habits, power, status of the speaker ... and look at them as they are.
That is the
first element and is also a prerequisite for the Madhyamaka teachings of
Buddhism.
After obtaining the proper notice, as carried on the
subject, the second is the chief branch of thinking, that is true meditation.
Reflection
true in Buddhism requires subjects to objective thinking the object was
thinking, thinking that is subject to removal attachment, selfish attitudes and
malice. To
do this, the subject should bred from, peaceful attitude towards guests may be
thinking.
A third arm of the doctrine of the Middle Way is
Right Speech - Speech true. True words from the true thinking, like real objects
of thinking and of course, words are true because the purpose is not only true
to say on the subject, but also to object to the more complete and not talk just
to talk.
Next is Right Speech Right Action - righteous deeds
or righteous action and right livelihood - true life. All three factors: Right
Speech, Right Action and Right Livelihood is the expression of genuine thinking
to improve moral, develop healthy lifestyles.
Sixth branch Right effort - effort to practice
righteousness in order to eradicate the bad seeds and improved mental
development. Liberation and enlightenment is not an overnight
achievement, therefore, can realize that thinking, but with practice, the lack
of effort and meticulous practice quickly eroded. During diligent, relentless
effort, Saturday factors - Mindfulness - always mindful of each behavior,
gestures, words to employment becomes essential identical twins. Awareness efforts, but
may not lead to an inversion results with the initial intention. From the relentless
efforts of awareness leading to the chief - that dwells in a single object, a
special object that is our own consciousness will lead to a result - our minds
are increasingly turbid supernatant off of, the impure elements, negativity,
ignorance increasing efforts are eliminated, instead, improved seeds, wisdom,
purity increasingly germination. When consciousness, the awareness of Mindfulness and
Right Concentration, to the relentless efforts of Right Effort, with the regular
practice of Right Speech, Right Action and Right Livelihood is generally
invisible to lead to a result, the understanding of natural right, one day
thinking clearly. Thus, the Eightfold Path with eight basic branches
above, who are both just as effective, mutually to each other because of a goal
of liberation and enlightenment.
In summary, the Madhyamaka teachings - Eightfold
Path Buddha said in economic Zhuan
Falun , just as a basis for
criticizing the two extremes are the dominant contemporary Indian society, has
established one of the postulates Most of the Buddhist religion has influenced
not only India but has now spread throughout the world. Doctrine of the Four
Noble Truths
Opening prayer recommended by the monastic
renunciation two extreme poles, established middle path, the Buddha said about
the Four Noble Truths as the most fundamental teachings of all the teachings of
Buddha and also the sole aim of Buddhism as being in this
world.
Four Noble Truths (four wonderful truth) include:
Suffering Empire, Volume sole, insole and sole director Removal. Sacca Sanskrit, is the
truth, what really has. List of Sanskrit (Sanskrit) is equivalent Satya, an
event not argue anymore. Pali call these truths is Ariya Saccani (holy
truths, or the Noble Truth), because the truth is found by the Buddha, the
saint's (Ariya) Greatest absolutely clean and fully purged of all
defilement.
(1) "This is the Noble Truth of Suffering"
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(2) "This Noble Truth of Suffering should be aware
of (parinneya)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(3) "the Noble Truth of Suffering was aware
(parinnata)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
First Noble Truth (Noble Truth of Suffering) refers
to Dukkha - a Sanskrit is understood as painful or unbearable. Standing in terms of
feeling, "du" is difficult, "kha" is to endure, "dukkha" is what makes it
difficult to endure. Understood as a truth, "Du" is something worthy of
contempt, not worth grasping. "Kha" is nothingness, emptiness. The world is full of suffering
and in so worthy of contempt, disgust, not worthy of me clinging. The world is an
illusion, nothing is real, so is the world of nothingness, emptiness.
So, dukkha
is void, not worthy of me clinging.
For achieving religion, life is suffering.
Living
that is suffering. All feelings or those achieved in the world could
not make up what is called true joy or happiness is only temporary, transient,
not sustainable ... Finally, people also disappointed and heartbroken with his
own life . "Birth is suffering, aging is
suffering, sickness is suffering, death is suffering, to live with the
unpleasant is suffering, separation from loved ones are suffering, desire
without the pain, brief the body five aggregates is suffering.
" Of all the suffering that people have endured, what
is the most common birth (jati), aging (jara), disease (vyādhi) and finally
death (Marana). Four suffering permanent threat on human life and no
one can avoid. Besides the four sufferings on, the pain of feeling
like desire, without success, to love without meeting or meet people you hate
are giving people the suffering and pain. All in all, there is this body
that is suffering and no one can escape suffering by accepting life in this
world. In
the scriptures, the Buddha said that suffering was a true empire, requires to be
perceived as a real and present existence of life, requires to be observed,
analyzed and the analysis and the Monitoring suffering of knowledge will lead to
proper implementation of our own generals.
(1) "This is the Noble Truth of Suffering."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(2) "This Noble Truth of Suffering should be
eradicated (pahatabba)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(3) "Suffering has been eradicated (pahinam)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
The second Noble Truth Buddha identified as aprons -
causes suffering and pain. In business, the cause of suffering is craving or
attachment (tanha): "O Bhikkhus this, this is the
profound truth of the origin of suffering (dukkha-samudaya-ariyasacca, Suffering
Truths ). The craving is the cause of rebirth (ponobhavika). Ai, with eager
longing heart, clinging to one or the other (life). It is love, hangs under the
sensuality (kamatanha), loving hangs under survival (bhavatanha, born craving,
attachment to the idea that the universe is eternal immortality), and love,
hangs under the existential (vibhavatanha, unborn love, attachment to the idea
that death is nothingness) .
Doing Dhammapada says: "Do craving born of sorrow. Do craving being afraid. The termination was totally craving no sorrow, the less fear " (verse 216).
Doing Dhammapada says: "Do craving born of sorrow. Do craving being afraid. The termination was totally craving no sorrow, the less fear " (verse 216).
Buddha said, craving leads to birth and death-birth,
constantly, forever. Thus, the main apron, Buddha was indirectly
referring to life past, present and future.
There are three kinds of craving: First, coarse
passions attachment least according sensuality (kamatanha). Second is our attachment to
life (bhavatanha), and the third is the attachment under state unborn
(vibhavatanha). According to the glossary are two types of craving
after the attachment of the material pleasures related to the belief that the
universe is eternal immortality (sassataditthi, usually is) and attachment
related to the belief that after this life is void, not at all (ucchedaditthi
paragraph is). Bhavatanha also means that the attachment of Lust
and Vibhavatanha the attachment of Immaterial because Aruparaga (lust hangs
under Immaterial) are also considered two 'months' (samyojana, rope bondage,
column we born in samsara).
Craving is an extremely mental capacity mighty,
always latent in everyone and is a major cause of the most unfortunate thing in
life. Main
craving, coarse or subtle, makes us cling to life and so lead us forever
wandering in samsara. A normal life just enjoy the pleasures know, and
that is noble, is the only happiness. In the sexual gratification, certainly the happiest
time as expected, while enjoying life, and when he recollects the pleasures.
But it is
only temporary and illusory. According to the Buddha non-attachment (viragata),
or take her beyond the physical pleasures are happy nobler. True happiness lies within us,
and can not be achieved through the property, career, power, fame, or conquest,
aggression. If happiness is achieved through things mentioned
above, it is only temporary, soon disappeared and instead cling mind, suffering
and eventually become causes us to birth and death back.
(1) "This is the noble truth of suffering away."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(2) "This Noble Truth of Suffering kill to be
realized (sacchikatabba)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(3) "the Noble Truth of Suffering killing was
realized (sacchikatam)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
The Third Noble Truth is the Cessation Truths -
state after separation of greed, hatred, ignorance and craving bound
consciousness. "This is a profound truth about the cessation of
suffering (dukkha-nirodha-ariyasacca, kill the noble truth of suffering). That
is, alienation and complete cessation of craving the attention that. It's the
left, the denial, escapism and detachment from craving attention. " Accordingly, the most
uncouth forms to the most subtle of craving, the decline was partly attained
that section. The coarse form is declining, the word has attained
levels (Japanese), the second floor of the church floor, and only be eradicated
when attained anagami (Real hybrid), third floor saints. The subtle forms of craving is
completely eradicated when attained Arhat.
(1) "This is the noble truth of suffering destroy
religion"
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
(2) "This Noble Truth of Suffering destroy religion
must be developed (bhavetabbam)."
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the Tathagata.
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the Tathagata.
(3) "the Noble Truth of Suffering destroy religion
has been developed (bhavitam).
Thus, O Bhikkhus, for the law has never been heard
before, vision, knowledge, wisdom, insight knowledge and light, arise to the
Tathagata.
The Fourth Noble Truth, sole director, the path to
cessation of suffering and the achievement Kill empire. In the scriptures, the Buddha
recognized that, to cessation of suffering, who left home to practice the Noble
Eightfold Path, or the Middle Way, the road branches Eight: "
This, O Bhikkhus, this is the profound truth about
human path to the cessation of suffering
(dukkha-nirodha-gamini-patipada-ariya-Sacca, Noble Truth of Suffering destroy
religion). It is the Noble Eightfold Path: Right Understanding, Right Thought,
Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort ton, Mindfulness and
Right Concentration. "
Eightfold become a means for the transformation of
suffering, attain. Thus, the Eightfold Path, besides two critical paths
outrageous false doctrines of the other, there is the Buddha identified as the
path to peace and ultimate liberation.
After explaining the Four Noble Truths meticulously
and articulately, Buddha sermon concluded with the following powerful
words:
"This, O Bhikkhus, that day as the real absolute
knowledge of the Tathagata of the four pylons three and twelve shades method
[1], is not entirely clear, then, until then, the Tathagata not confirm that the
Tathagata has realized the Supreme Enlightenment (anuttara
sammasambodhi).
As real as the absolute knowledge of the Tathagata
of words to become completely clear, just as long as he, the Tathagata new
confirmation that the Tathagata has realized the Supreme
Enlightenment.
And then arises of knowledge and wisdom: Heart of
the Tathagata has completely freed firmly, not shaken, and this is the last
life, no life any more. "
When the method terminates, Kondanna (Kondanna), the
most senior disciple of the first five, thorough and efficient teaching
Sotapanna, the first floor of the four-storey church. He realized that something had
to be born immediately perish - Yam kinci samudayadhammam sabbam nirodha-dhammam
triangle.
Conclude
Business Zhuan Falun is the first economic Buddha said shortly after the
Supreme Bodhi Certificate results. Content texts contain the main principles and the
most important of Buddhism (both North and South television transmission).
From
content on texts, we can draw a few principles to learn Buddhist scriptures in
general and in particular:
1. Buddhism is based on personal experience and
avoid system or ideology are larger forces at that time. This principle requires to
understand Buddhism, must be based on personal experience rather than purely in
theory. In
other words, Buddhism emphasizes the importance of the practice, instead focus
on the beliefs and dogmas. Believing in it into dogma can not lead to
liberation.
2. Buddhism is a path leading to the cessation of
suffering rather than a religious belief needs and create a world "illusion" to
mean "compensation unreal".
3. There is no god in the creation of human
suffering, but only by the person creating the misery for myself. Therefore, no ritual
sacrifice to the gods to man timidly, van bowed or fear.
4. About (sila), concentration (samadhi), Wisdom
(panna) is essential to achieve the goal, Nirvana is expressed through specific
Middle Way or the Eightfold Path.
5. The foundation of Buddhism is the Four Noble
Truths (Four Noble Truths) can be verified by experience. Four truth that by the Buddha
discovered through awareness and reflection of Himself, not from any teaching of
anyone.
6. Noble Truth of Suffering, the first truth,
referring to the composition of the ego, and the different stages in life.
The main
components of this leads to the status of human suffering. Insight truth (First Noble
Truth of Suffering) reasonably taken to eradicate the causes of
suffering.
7. The Second Noble Truth (apron) is related to an
always latent capacity within each person, it is lust. Craving is the cause of all the
unhappiness in life. The main apron also refers indirectly to the life
past, present and future, through which long chain of birth and death of human
life and the implications of karma, reincarnation is also
mentioned.
8. The first truth is in that, of the world
(lokiya). The Third Noble Truth, the cessation of suffering,
although dependent on us, as superpower (lokuttara) and transcends beyond
morality. Empire Kill a law (dhamma) must be thorough with
mental vision (sacchikatabba). This is not the case rejects external world is rid
of all attachment inside to the outside world. Hence, Nirvana is not made up
(uppadetabba) that must be reached (pattaba). Nirvana can be accomplished
even in this present life. Thus, we can understand that although reborn as an
essential doctrine in Buddhism, the ultimate goal of Buddhism is terminated
reborn - not depend on the future, because they can accomplish in this lifetime
.
9. To eradicate a powerful forces (craving) must
apply and develop effective August factor (Eightfold Path). Eight powerful mental energy
and nature-friendly way, to be focused to overthrow an evil power persistent
latent within us.
10. Absolutely pure, completely freed from the
constant process of birth and death, the mind is no longer entangled little
pollution, state immortality (Amata), that the blessing comes with a great
victory this.END=VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY =THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTMENT=WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=THE EIGHTHFOLD PATH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.22/4/2015.
