Meaning of Spring MAITREYA..

On the first day of the Lunar New Year every year is the first day of spring that the habit of people is called Spring Di Lac. In this first day of spring, people often pray for peace and security, wish happiness and prosperity, happy family, children and grandchildren happy, worrying and restoring themselves, looking forward to living in peace in life. Many non-Buddhists wonder, why not have a spring bearing the name of a Bodhisattva. Is it right to start a spring, a new year with the desire to rely on the virtue and virtue of an Enlightened being to study according to the Dharma, to bring the dharma into the daily life. Why is spring named Bo-slapped with the name of Di Lac but not other Bodhisattvas? What does Xuan Di Lac mean? Understanding the questions is the content of the article below.

I. Learn about Bo-slapped Maitreya
Maitreya, Pali. Metteyya is a transcription and translation meaning Tu Thi is a great compassion, bringing a peaceful source for beings. Maitreya is the future Buddha that will appear on the earth, followed by the historical Buddha Thich-ca. Buddha Maitreya is mentioned in the sutras from Theravada to Mahayana.

In the Sutra of the Holy King, the Sutta No. 26 of the Sutra of the Sutra, it is recorded that at one time, the Buddha Thich-ca lived near the city of Malacca (Matulà), Ma-master-da (Magadha). , along with monks. While The-Ton taught the monks, live yourself as a lamp for yourself, rely on yourself, not relying on another person, taking the dharma as a lamp, taking the dharma as a refuge , without relying on anything else, the Buddha preached the Sutra of the Holy King, the Lion Prince, recounting the history of the King of the Holy Wheel of the Holy King who ruled according to the Dharma, never used knives, sticks, swords. , but the national level is strong, the people are settled and settled. Buddha Thich-ca signed that: "The Male stilts, when the human life expectancy of up to eighty years old, there is World Religion named Metteyya Tu Thi will be born, is the A-la-Han, the Chief Justice, Minh Hanh Túc, Good Foresight, The World Good, Supreme Master, The Noble Staff, Thien Nhon Su, Buddha The Sun as I am now born in this life. He will give sermon, goodness, goodness, goodness, with the full meaning of the letter and proclaim the life of blessedness completely as pure and pure as Ta now. He will have several thousand monks, monks and nuns; as I am today there are about a few hundred monks, monks and nuns. ”  (Sutra School, p.346)

In the School A function also has the following paragraph:  "When the eighty-year-old humanity lived, the daughter to five hundred years old married her husband, and there were nine diseases of cold, hot, hungry, thirsty, defecation, urination, greed sex, appetite and aging. The land at that time was flat with no incision, root barbed mound, no mosquito, solid snake, poisonous. Tile, stone, sand, brick turn into glass. People are prosperous, cereals turn often, rich and joyless. There are eighty thousand large cities built up, the village is close to each other, the crow's neck can be heard. At that time, the Buddha was born as Di-Lac Nhu Lai, Chi Chan, Dang Chinh Giac, ten full signs, like Germany Like-ca Nhu Lai today is no different. Duc Di Lac has many disciples of thousands and thousands, like I have a few hundred disciples today. The people at that time called his disciples from Tu death as if they were calling our disciples now like Thich Tu ". (Kinh Truong A Ham, p.601-603)

In the Di-lutama business of birth, belonging to the Great Chief of the New Tu, Ministry of Episodes, No. 0454, Han translated into the life of Qin Qin, the Tripitaka Dharma Master Wu-ma-la-cross, Thich Trung Quan translation of Vietnam, has a paragraph saying:  "Bo-slapped Di-lặc was born to be the son of two Brahmin monks named Dieu Pham and Pham-ma-ba-Threads in into Sí-head-head. He has a bright yellow body, 32 good generals, beings who see forever, inconceivable immeasurable divine power, aura radiating through all, covered with the light of the moon, sun and Fireworks ".

Thus, in both the Theravada and the Mahayana Sutra, it is affirmed that Maitreya is the Buddha who will appear on the earth, next to the historical Buddha Thich-ca, attaining complete enlightenment, teaching Dharma, cultivating beings, and realizing into Buddha. Buddha Maitreya was prophesied to be born when human life was about 80,000 years, when the Buddha Dharma was completely forgotten by humanity.

In the period of the Phai Buddhism, there was a theory that Bo-slapped the Maitreya was the one who initiated the Duy formalism system of the Mahayana. Some scholars argue that this is the teacher who transmits the Duyen doctrine to him Before (Sa. Asaṅga).

Tibetan Buddhism again said that Bo-slapped Maitreya was the author of five essays, known as Di-lama Five Senses:
(first). Mahayana Mahayana Mahayana or the most important to admit it (Sa. mahāyānottaratantra)
(2). France measures discrimination (Sa. dharmadharmatāvibaṅga)
(3). Middle-class discrimination (Sa. madhyāntavibhāga-śāstra)
(4). Show consistent page (Sa. abhisamayālaṅkāra)
(5). Mahayana scriptures are serious (Sa. mahāyānasūtralaṅkāra)

The Chinese Buddhist tradition holds that in the 10th century, the Five Dai Hau Luong Dynasty, with Bo Dai Hoa Thuong in Minh Chau, Phung Hoa district (present-day Zhejiang China) was the reincarnation of Bo-slapped. Maitreya. He used to carry a cloth with a cloth, went to the hamlet's market, and let everyone put it in and take it. He often preached the sutras to the poor, doing many miraculous and extraordinary things in order to neutralize sentient beings.

Bo-slapped Maitreya is a contemporary Buddha, of course there are 32 good generals and 80 beauty as other Buddhas, but depending on the traditions of tradition and culture of each country, the image of He is also different. In countries like India, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet, statues of Bo-slapped Maitreya seldom sat on the lotus floor, but he often sat on the ground, the symbol ready to stand up and teach beings. In Vietnam and China, Bo-slapped Maitreya was presented with a round, happy, childish figure wrapped around tangerines, which may be the image of the Venerable Father in the 10th century, but Chinese Buddhism said that he was an incarnation of Bo-slapped Maitreya.

II. Meaning of Spring Di Lac
1. Bring the meaning of the season "Spring compassion"
Compassion is an indispensable element of a Buddhist practitioner and it seems to refer to Buddhism that people think of two compassionate words immediately. In Bodhisattva's first heart, compassion is still limited but in the great Bodhisattva-Bodhisattva-Bodhisattva-Bodhisattva-Bodhisattva ... the boundless compassion, until Buddhas then compassion cannot think. So why does the season "Spring of compassion" do not bear the name of other Bodhisattvas but bears the name of Bo-slapped Maitreya? As explained above, Di-lama translates as Tu Thi, ie heart great compassion, bringing a peaceful source for beings.

We all know that the first day of spring is the day that signals the air of heaven and earth, with so many beautiful, fresh, full-of-life images of all species and plants. Everyone wishes for a safe, happy, peaceful, loving new year. However, when society becomes more and more civilized, human morality is becoming more and more degraded by the enjoyment lifestyle, material life, formal lifestyle, so that compassion gradually decreases. If the mind is not born, it means that we have taken ourselves into the world of anxiety, insecurity and selfishness. Most conflicts in society or war happen from the greed, the yard. Only compassion can bring all things peace and peace. So, if spring lacks compassion, that spring will bring more unhappiness to people and become meaningless. Therefore, the spring is named after Bo-slapped Maitreya. Right in the two words of Maitreya, we have seen the light of compassion.

2. Bring the meaning of "Spring Festival".
Happiness is to accept and be content with everything that happens, with every happening, with every change, with all waves and difficulties in life ... Those who accept and are always content with reality is happening in life, their hearts always feel pleasure and no longer worry, sadness, fear or suffering anymore.

We know, the image of Maitreya is worshiped in temples in Vietnam, looks very healthy, fat, and the face is always smiling happily. He is the contemporary Buddha symbolizing happiness, joy, tolerance and forgiveness. If, the wish of the early spring that anyone living on this earth, even a believer of any religion, wishes a spring of joy, peace and sorrow; then the Bodhisattva is the embodiment of all the best, the best and the most joyful human beings ever dreamed of. In the context of the spring day full of love, Bodhisattva comes to us with a joyful smile carrying the message of good luck to everyone.

3. Bring the meaning of "Spring effort".
For those who are Buddhists, the day of the Spring of Maitreya also carries a great significance, which is the diligence of studying, determined to transform the mind, from a world with full of afflictions and confusion of the day. today, become an enlightened and liberated future.

Therefore, the Buddha's children before the New Year, in addition to enjoying the new spring, often have to work hard to study, transform themselves to be compassionate, happy, forgive and tolerant like Him. In this way, we live in this world will feel the life full of meaning, here is the peaceful and peaceful realm, a world full of love and warmth, the realm of the Buddhas , sages and saints.

Thus, the Spring of Di Lac contains the meaning of compassion, joy and hope in thousands of auspiciousness, all in the new year. For the Buddha, the Spring of the Maitreya also means the spring of diligent practice to attain the karma.

Through traditional Tet holidays, we promote the beauty of Buddhism in human cultural life. Buddhism goes into life, which brings benefits to people, from the needs and the essence of human beings, opening the way of practice. Only the morality of compassion, the new joys direct people to live in peace and peace. So the image of Maitreya in the spring is a message of compassion and liberation to people in all ages. Thus, the meaning of celebrating spring Di-lua is to live up to the noble lifestyle, especially towards the goal of freeing suffering in this turbulent life. It is also the way of life of Buddhism from the past to the present. More specifically, each individual who exists in life must know how to practice the religious life.

III. Apply in practice
1. Practicing the four immeasurable mind
Spring Di-Lac is the spring of compassion, a spring started with two  compassion words  as the first two of the countless hearts " compassionate joy " and compassion is also one of the important gateways So, Spring Di-Lac reminds the Buddha's children to know how to practice  compassion  in particular and  the mindlessness  in general to be a solid foundation for the development of wisdom.

The Word of Mind is the boundless loving heart for all beings and all things. The word mind is love without discrimination against the relatives or the good, the good or the bad, the good or the bad ... He who performs from the heart to the extreme will find himself assimilated with all beings, no the difference between me and people. The so-called "I" is no more. All divisions disappear as the fog dissolves in the morning sun. Everything becomes one, homogeneous, homogeneous.
In the compassionate Sutra of the Sutra of the Nikaya system, the Buddha taught to love all living beings like the gentle mother of the only child she was born with.

Compassion is mercy, infinite sympathy with the suffering of others, in the hope of helping sentient beings escape suffering. It should be noted that Bi-mind is not small tears but called mercy. When I feel the pain of others, the compassionate person feels the pain before the contradictory situation of the unfortunate and willing to share those sufferings.

Hy Hy is the heart of joy, joy with the happiness of others, joy in the success of others. People with a spirit who never know how to envy and envy, when they see someone other than themselves, should also mean that Hy is also tolerant. In other words, Hy must be a state of mind that is completely pure, emanating from the place of no self, taking the joy of others to make us happy but without any intention to demand any gain. Give me back.

Tam Xả is the heart of letting go, not being attached to catching anything, letting go before all the achievements of yourself, calmly before the disdain, defamation, of others. I and I, without boundaries of grace and vengeance, do not grasp good and bad things, let go of all the notions of discrimination. Practitioners must practice gradually discharging and discharging all.

Four immeasurable mind is the path of practice, which leads to self-interest, self-interest and also the basic path to intellectual development. So, how to practice the four mindless mind? There are many methods, depending on the basic of each person. Within the scope of this article, the writer would like to introduce three methods of mindless practice.

1.1. Meditation
(first). Practicing meditation only (meditation) with headings is breath
Breath is the source of life. Shakyamuni Buddha himself took the breath as a meditation subject. According to the Central Sutra, in the 49th night, from the samadhi of the Fourth Meditation, he began to contemplate to attain the triumvirate and become the Enlightenment Buddha. Therefore, breathing is an invaluable asset that all of us have.

Practicing according to the original meditation (Tathagata meditation), it is imperative that except for the five slopes, it is  greed, anger, kissing, treachery and suspicion  to accomplish the year of meditation. Even in the first stage of the elimination of the two hindrances, the greed and the yard have helped the practitioner practice easily the compassion of the four immeasurable mind, let alone when the five traces of the five achievements have been taken away more, it is easier to practice the immeasurable mind.

If while meditating, one takes the breath as a subject, concentrates on the breath, only the breath, absolutely without the inconceivable interpolation, the practitioner will easily accomplish the first two meditations of The original meditation is Tam and Tu. After reaching the Range and the Fourth, immediately the third chi is the Hy will arise, the practitioner will feel the joy, the peace of meditation. Once the Hy-mind has arisen, the practitioner is very easy to practice the happiness of the four mindlessness because the mind of the practitioner is always peaceful, so he is often happy before the success of others.

If the practitioner continues to remain calm in the present moment to observe the breath, he will subtract the rest of the hindrances and achieve the fourth meditation of Lac. At that time, the mind and body of the meditator are at peace - a happy and joyful feeling comes from the mind of tranquility - so the happiness and happiness of the mind and mind are increasingly nourished.

Continuing to elaborate, be mindful in the present moment to monitor the breath, one will attain the last meditation, One-pointedness, to prepare for entering the samadhi. From the first meditation to reach the second meditation, one must practice letting go of the two chi and Tu meditation; From the second meditation to achieve the three meditation, one must practice letting go of the meditation of Hy; From the three meditators who want to attain the four meditations, one must practice letting go of the Zen meditation. Due to the practice of letting go in elaborately meditation, one can easily practice the four-dimensional euphoria. Moreover, due to attainment, the practitioner arises wisdom, understands more and more clearly the three dharmas, the Four Noble Truths, and the five aggregates, the easier it is to practice the mind. Like that, the immeasurable mind of the meditator will grow gradually according to the levels of the samadhi from the samadhi to the samadhi of the first, the second, the third and the fourth meditation.

(2). Practice satipa xứhāna
Satipatthana is the four basic things of awareness. It is important to remember that in all four areas of mindfulness (body, feeling, mind, and dhamma) one must take mindfulness as the head, and keep mindfulness only, which means a sense of calm observation and a guest recognition. mandarin

The Mind Body consists of the stillness in the breath, exhaling, breathing in, as well as the sense of calm in the four basic forms of the body (walking, standing, lying, sitting). Sensation in all activities of the body, observing 32 body parts, observing the body composition as well as the corpse.

Quan Tho is aware of the feelings and emotions that arise in the mind, knowing that they are pleasant, unpleasant or neutral.

Quan Tam is paying attention to the mind-consciousness (thoughts) that are present, knowing that it is greed or ignorance, anger or ignorance, or ignorance.

The French Restaurant is aware that all dharmas are interdependent, are non-self, know the five obstacles (the five hindrances) are present or not, know the human being is the five aggregates that are active, know the current root of the dharma and understand the Four Noble Truths.
Due to the control of the four areas of body, feeling, mind, and dharma, especially the mind control, at the same time, the mind is centered on the mind where the mind is immeasurable.

(3). Practice consistent compassion
Practitioners must use loving eyes to look at everyone, whether that person is a body or a body, a friend or foe, a coward, or even a small species like a worm, an ant, without cause killed them. The following passage from the Compassion Sutra of the Nikaya Sutta of the Nikaya system was translated by Vietnamese Venerable Thich Minh Chau as a compassionate homage to the Buddha:

... May all beings,
Be peaceful, peaceful,
Hope everyone,
Friendship has life,
The weak or the strong,
Don't miss anyone,
Long guys or big guys,
Low middle, large and small species.
Species seen, not seen,
Species live far away, not far away,
Species currently live,
The species will be born,
May all beings,
Live happily and peacefully.
Like a mother's heart,
For my children,
Lifetime of protection,
I'm the only one I'm born.
Also, for all
The sentient beings,
Practice your mind,
Unlimited quantity, large.
When standing or sitting,
When sitting or lying down,
Long until,
While still awake,
Stay in this celebration ...

When you have compassion to see the beings as the only child you are born, the practitioner is very easy to practice happiness, because the gentle mother is always happy at the success of her child. He who performs from the heart of compassion to the same extent will find himself assimilated with all beings, no longer the difference between himself and the person. The so-called "I" is no more. All divisions disappear as the fog dissolves in the morning sun. Everything becomes one, homogeneous, homogeneous, so it is easy to practice well.

1.2. Feast of Buddha
Buddha is a fully enlightened being with the mind of pronouns, great compassion, great joy, unbelievable exhaust. If anyone wants to practice the mind with immeasurable amount of mind, then Buddha's worship is the best way to practice vengeance. We worship the Buddha not because we wish to give grace to the Buddha, but to worship Buddha is to practice living with the altruistic and tolerant nature of Buddha. The Buddha's ceremony, which contemplates "feast and feast," is not, pure, attainable "inconceivable sympathy" with the Buddhas, it will surely achieve the mindlessness of the mind with ease.

Practitioners can worship the Buddhas from the past to the future as from the Buddhist monk-grandma-exam to the Buddha-Maitreya, or the Buddha's Name Redeeming Ceremony, or simply a Buddha like the Buddha-shift, Buddha-A. di-da, Buddha Pharmaceutical-monk ... even the Bodhisattvas like Quan-world-sound, Earth-organ ... can also practice the immeasurable mind. For every bow, the practitioner should pray silently that he will study according to his innocent mind and when his achievements are immeasurable, he will turn the beings. A bow of Buddha will sow into the mind the practice of a seed of the immeasurable mind and be retained in A-re-consciousness of the practitioner. Just like that, the immeasurable mind of the practitioner will grow quickly because within the body of the practitioner there is practice, outside of the blessing of the Buddhas, like "extraterrestrial public" then worry nothing but achievements!

Ceremony of Buddha does not need to count much, but it is necessary to have the quality of each bowing, that is, we have internal reflection, eliminate the ego, transform our karma and have practice the immeasurable mind like the Buddhas or not. When carrying out Buddhist ceremonies, we have to be revered, reciting, deliberate, looking at the Buddha, Bodhisattva or every word of the Buddha, or leaving the mind calm and calm. Feast on Buddha slowly to have enough time to think about the vow of the Buddhas, to practice the immeasurable quartet emanating from the Buddhas into your mind and to have solemnity in your practice. ceremony. It is recommended to practice the Buddha ceremony regularly during the daily elaborate periods, without interruption, diligently practice, the practitioner will enjoy the energies of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas,

1.3. Tri
The supernatural power and power of the Great Compassion Mantra is associated with the aspirations of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara that great compassion is one of the typical aspirations. When reciting the Great Compassion mantra, it must be diligent and sincere, respectful, keeping the ceremony. Anyone who recites the Great Compassion mantra with all his heart, will surely attain  great compassion  because the power of the mantra is broad and boundless, nothing can stop it. In the Sutra of Sutra Da La Ni, Bo-slapped Quan-the-sound explains the  great compassion  that is the mind of equality, the infinite mind, the mind that is not pre-emptied, the mind of respect, the humble mind, the mind without chaos, mind does not accept, mind supreme Bodhi.

Although the mantra is the mysterious and secret words of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and slaves, it is difficult to comprehend the content and meaning, but this does not mean that when reciting the Great Compassion mantra we only recite mantras mechanically. Once you know the power and majesty of Dai Bi uncle will help the practitioner understand the appearance of the Great Compassion uncle, understand more clearly the characteristics of the  great compassion., meditators recite with the sincere faith in absolute respect, sitting neatly, the mind is pure, not letting the idea spread, the practitioner will be able to realize the source of the mind and marvelously enter the law. The true language emanating will be displayed in the mind of the practitioner, as well as the marvelous sea, so magical, so that through and covering all is the great compassion, ie compassion mercy and determination to save the suffering of beings, practitioners will easily attain  compassion  in the mind of countless hearts.

The divine power of the Divine Mantra as a means of concentration and due to the ability to transport the mysteries of these miraculous sounds, to integrate into the essence of the true mind and body, one can capture the mind and body of a large and small size. I mean. Peace of mind when concentration will help practitioners to develop joy. From there, practitioners can easily practice the happiness   of the four happyhearts.

When the mind of the meditator has determined, it is also due to the mystery of these miraculous sounds, but the mind of the meditator integrates into the essence of the true mind, the practitioner attains an equal mind, the mind is not infected before, the mind does not accept hold. From there, one easily cultivate virtues  discharge  of the four immeasurable.

Thus, we have just consulted about the three methods of cultivating the immeasurable mind, namely meditation, Buddha worship, and mantras. Each method has its own usefulness, depending on the basis and circumstances of each person. The essence of success is to practice regularly, diligently, pay attention to the subject, not to intervene, mindfulness of mindfulness, and of course, the mindless cultivation practice is not only done on It is necessary to practice the instrument and the union, which must be practiced during the rest of the time. Thus, the practitioner will accomplish the immeasurable amount of mind as a wish.

2. Practice relying on yourself, taking the dharma as a lamp
In the Sutra of the Holy King, before prophesying the Buddha in the future, the Buddha taught the monks, relying on yourself, not relying on anyone else, taking the dharma as a lamp, taking Dharma is a place of refuge, nothing else. It is these two views that can be viewed as a true reflection of the Buddha's life of seeking, practicing, and directing the Buddha's religion based on personal experience and repeated many times during the 49 years of sermon. , even until the day of the coming of nirvana, he did not forget to tell the disciples to rely on themselves, taking the dharma as a lamp.

Why before the prophet of the Buddha in the future, the Buddha Thought-ca taught the disciples to rely on themselves, relying on the Dharma? Is it because He wants to tell us that the teachings of the present Buddha or the teachings of the Buddha of the future or the teachings of the three Buddhas throughout the ten directions are not different and those who know how to stand on their own feet will Definitely get the taste of liberation!

We do not have enough merit to live in the Buddha's time, so we do not know if there is enough blessing to live in the time of Buddha's birth or death, but fortunately, Dhamma's teachings still exist. that, the Spring Di-Lac is coming again, seemingly reminding us to diligently practice to attain the karma, to be grateful to the Buddhas.

Every spring, people who have not learned Buddha feel happy and joyful to celebrate the new spring, but those who are studying must realize that as we progress toward the goal of death, we must rush to practice. If not, it will cost you a life. The monk must always keep in mind that if he is only going to be a secular monk, even if he is born out of suffering, he has not yet completed the path of the monk!

In short, Spring Di-Lac carries the meaning of spring of compassion, joy and effort. If we apply it in our study, we will practice the immeasurable mind and rely on ourselves, relying on the Dharma of the three Buddhas. Please do not follow the pleasures of spring, but forget about the practice. Learning the Buddha's teachings, we need to practice the experience to see the benefits of practice. On the contrary, without practice, we only enjoy the taste of the dharma through the paper-based cake .

The prosperity and longevity of Buddhism are not expressed in large pagodas, large Buddha statues, large Buddhists, many festivals ... but in that they have virtue or not, practice the dharma Buddha teaches, does it attain or not. We should not run after the spring joyful means but forget the Buddha's teaching in the Holy Wheel of the Holy Cross: " Live yourself as a lamp for yourself, rely on yourself, not relying on anyone else, taking the dharma as a lamp, taking the dharma as a refuge, not relying on anything else ”.

Spring comes and spring will go. END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.3/2/2019.
