Vien Quang Buddhist Monastery of Clover, SC was founded in July of 2012.


Vien Quang Monastery (Tu Viện Viên Quang) is a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monastery with a large temple, and 22 acres of grounds to explore.


Vien Quang is a branch temple of the Vietnamese World Buddhist Order founded by the great elder Ven, Thich Tam Chau of Vietnam, who lives in Montreal.


Its mission? To spread Buddhist principles of harmlessness & goodness, and support cultural traditions of Vietnamese people in the USA.

According to their Facebook page Vien Quang is open for the public to visit. You're free to walk quietly through the 22 acres that have been beautifully adorned over the short five years since Vien Quang was founded here in the woods in Clover in 2012.

The property boasts many walkways and quite a few steps, so bring some water.
