The Three Poisons of Greed, Hate, and Si.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH. THANK YOU "Greed" is greed. Excessive desire. Infatuated, interested in wanting to have many of their favorite things such as money, beauty, fame, etc.. That desire is never boring, the more time you get, the more you want it. Greed for himself, then greed for his relatives, country, and society. Also because of greed, humanity fights to kill each other. A greedy person hates successful people. If you have a greedy mind, you must "cultivate your mind" right away, you must practice "minimum of education". Lack of desire is wanting less, contentment is knowing enough. People with little passion and contentment have a simple, noble and secure life because they know enough with what they already have. Gradual abandonment of greed to attain “non-greed.” Non-greed is non-greed. In life, there are five pleasures, which people most often desire: money, beauty, fame, food, and sleep. Those "five worlds of sensual pleasures", in fact, have little joy but much suffering. Greed for money in the past has to torture the body and live, sometimes even using unjust means to take it, and when it's lost, it's painful. As for beauty. Therefore, contemplation of the body is impure, greed for beauty often leads to bad schemes to satisfy lust. Greed for fame and power, you have to go in and out, work hard on your mind. people suffer from many diseases that are difficult to treat, their bodies are tired, their lives are not long. lust for sleep makes their brains dull. The five worlds of sensual pleasures are the causes that bind human life into the cycle of birth and death, reincarnation, depraved. YARD "Court" is anger, anger, impatience, hatred when not satisfied, not satisfied as desired. Disgruntled because of being offended, that person does wrong things. After the anger, the time to hold the hatred is to find an opportunity to take revenge. The reason why anger arises is because of liking "I" or liking "mine". If people scold or criticize others, then we don't feel angry, but if someone curses or reprimands us or our loved ones, or damages our property, we immediately feel uncomfortable. As discomfort increases, time becomes anger. But it should be remembered that in this world no one can avoid being reprimanded, criticized, and it is difficult to avoid the mouth of the world. In the past, in the future, and in the present, there has never been a person who has been criticized by all or praised by all. But because of being criticized, getting angry is extremely harmful because when angry, people are no longer calm enough to control their own behavior and language. The Flower Adornment Sutra says: "With a single thought of anger, a hundred thousand doors of karma will be opened." And: "One spark of anger can burn thousands of acres of merit forest." The Buddha advised: "Give up anger and afflictions will not come to you." One must cultivate the mind in order to achieve "non-hatred." To be non-hatred is to be free of anger, to be free from anger. Beings are subjected to samsara through many births and deaths because they cannot overcome anger. Buddhas are free, liberated, because we can get rid of anger at the root. The hardest thing is to get rid of anger right from the heart. When our mind no longer thinks about anger, then naturally anger will not erupt. Preaching about the fruit of the donor to the point of complete purity, the Buddha taught that weeds harm fields and gardens, while anger also harms people. SI "Si" is delusion, ignorance, stupidity. Ignorance people are not wise, do not consider the right understanding, the truth to judge the good or bad, the good or the bad, the harmful, etc.. so they do things that are contaminated with sin, harmful to themselves and others. Si, ignorance according to the world called "fool" or "stupid". Ignorance covers the mind, making people no longer see the impurities that are gnawing from inside people, causing those bad habits to increase and eventually lead people to the path of constant sin. . The Buddha taught that ignorance is the worst defilement. Let go of ignorance to become a pure person. Two extremes must be avoided, one is asceticism and the other is gainful nourishment. Simplicity, modesty, frugality along with a clean lifestyle are key characteristics. Usually, I'm not afraid of "greed" and "hate" emerging, but only afraid of self-enlightenment slowly, just afraid of being confused and ignorant. If "greed" and "hate" arise, but we wisely judge in time, without delusion, the other greed and hatred can't do anything. Buddhists must eliminate their delusions, must always be clear about everything, cultivate their minds to achieve "no delusion." Non-delusion is not shady, not delusional. In all things, there is always a clear mind, judgment, judgment of the good, the bad, the right and the wrong, etc.. Therefore, the new job is just, avoiding harm and benefiting both. themselves and benefit others, both now and in the future. Lust The Buddha advised people to get rid of craving. "Ai" means liking, loving, cherishing, attachment, craving and clinging. "Sex" is lust, lust, sensual pleasure. Craving is the desire, attachment, clinging, enjoying all the ordinary pleasures for people and for things. There are three types of craving: 1. Craving according to the "five ceiling" sensuality: The five ceiling scenes are "color, sound, flavor, taste, and contact". The ceiling is dusty. The five worlds are the five things that can permeate our body and mind, our true nature. 2. Craving clinging to material pleasures, according to the concept of "interruption", thinking that death is the end, so there is no need to care about good and evil, good and bad, retribution at all, just worry about enjoying animal pleasures. present quality and wealth. 3. Craving for material pleasures, according to the concept of "permanent view", thinking that the pleasures and possessions will remain with them forever, eternally, eternally. The Dhammapada clearly shows that craving is the source of all suffering in life, the force that impels people to seek gratification of selfish desires by any means, even at the expense or suffering of others. others. Craving is the most dangerous trap, because when it is satisfied, it gives a feeling of satisfaction to the person, and therefore the human craving continues to increase. The Buddha observed that what people in the world call happiness, happiness is only fragilely built on a few conditions. When these conditions are complete, people in the world call them happy and happy. But with the happiness they have in their hands, they do not feel completely and permanently satisfied. The reason is because the human heart changes and always wants more, more forever. When they have not achieved all the things they wish for, they have the feeling that they are still lacking, and their hearts are troubled, tormented, and longing. True happiness does not necessarily have to do with external material conditions, but completely depends on the interior of the person. All the teachings of Buddhism focus on the fact that in order to find eternal peace, one must know how to overcome craving. It should not be misunderstood that the Buddha meant to negate human emotions in pursuing some noble spiritual ideal. The Buddha did not advise us to completely abandon healthy human emotions. He just meant to remind us not to focus on attachment and attachment to material pleasures. The most important impediment to spiritual growth is the intense attachment of the mind, the remembrance of objects, events, or external circumstances that are pleasurable and pleasurable in selfish desires. of humans only. WOMAN Arrogant means arrogant. When a person is not virtuous, he is greedy for fame and pleasure, often arising in his mind such desires as raising himself up and bringing others down. They consider themselves important and despise everyone. They are always conceited, conceited, self-righteous, inhumane, insolent to the superiors and contemptuous of the inferiors. Because of such an arrogant nature, no one spoke but they listened, even if it was the truth or the truth. Therefore, they have done many wrong things, creating negative karma and of course falling into the six paths of samsara. THINKING Doubt means doubt, distrust. Those who have doubts have a hard time succeeding. Because from small things to big things, they always don't trust anyone. But once you don't believe, you can't work with one mind and so how can you create good results. Those who have doubts are the type of people who lack sincerity and do not apply wisdom wisely to distinguish who is right and who is evil, or what is good and what is bad. With this suspicion, it will make people around us angry, not honest with us and of course bring more suffering to ourselves. ANOTHER OR OLD - Body view: recognize the body of the four elements as permanent and unchanging. Because we do not understand the law of impermanence, not-self, we think that within us there is a separate, certain and unchanging Self. Because it is our own self, unrelated to others, we find ways to satisfy whatever the self likes. We build tall houses for what we live in, buy nice cars for what we enjoy, buy delicious foods for what we use, and compete for public office for what we are proud of. Because of such respect and service for the Self, we have created countless sins, trampled on many other Self and made them suffer because of our Self. - Dialectical: means one-way reasoning. This is about people with authoritarian reasoning. They think that their reasoning is the most correct regardless of whether or not it is actually true. There are two common types of arguments: a) Perpetual view: they reason that when dead, the Self still exists forever. The dead will give birth to people, the dead animals will return to animals, and the dead saints will return to the saints. Because of such belief, it is the same for them whether to practice or not to practice. They are not afraid of evil, so they do not need to do good. b) Annihilation: for this group, they think that death is the end. Once we stop breathing, close our eyes and let go, nothing will exist anymore. At that time, there was no sin, but no blessing. They always keep in mind that: "If you practice virtue, you will die from old age, and will no longer be violent and tyrannical". Because of this belief, the law of karma and reincarnation makes no sense to them, so they do evil things on their own accord. - Ants: means obstinate. Since we are ordinary people, in our daily life, we have wrong actions and wrong opinions. But because of stubbornness, we do not use wisdom to clarify, but keep our behavior and opinions conservative. We consider ourselves to be good or good, and these people are vulnerable to narcissism. It was also because of this stubborn stubbornness that they caused much suffering. - Precepts forbidden: means to follow the prohibition of the heretical cults. These dogmas are sometimes absurd, delusional, but still make some people think that it is the way to liberation for them. The truth of the Buddha is to break the delusion of enlightenment. Based on this truth, cultivators will generate wisdom, and wisdom is the rays of the sun to burn away the dark shadows to help us distinguish what is right and what is wrong. - Wrong view: means listening to heresy to do unjust things and contrary to the law of cause and effect. People with wrong views often believe in superstitions such as asking for tattoos, divination, seeing stars, and worshiping. Superstition and Buddhist teachings cannot be equated. Why? Buddhism has always maintained that our life is always associated with karma roots and karma. We are the result of the karma we have created. So asking for tattoos, fortune telling or whatever, praying for the term won't change the karma we've created.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA, SYDNEY.5/12/2021.
