T O heard something like this.
At one time, the Buddha was traveling in the country of Sāvat, in the forest of Thang, in the lonely garden of Level.
At that time the Blessed One said to the bhikkhus:
“If there are bhikkhus who are not skillful in contemplating the minds of others, they should be skillful in contemplating their own minds. Should learn like that.
"What is called a bhikkhu skillfully contemplating his own mind [02] ? If a bhikkhu has this contemplation, he will certainly gain many benefits. 'Do we have the knowledge of the inner mind [03] , but have not been able to contemplate the dharma with supreme wisdom [04] ? Are we able to contemplate the supreme wisdom, but not the inner mind? Have we not been able to show the inner mind, nor have we been able to contemplate the supreme wisdom? Can we not only see the inner mind, also contemplating the supreme wisdom?"
"If a bhikkhu, after contemplating, immediately knows: 'I have only been inwardly, but have not yet been contemplating the supreme wisdom'. That bhikkhu has been shown the inner mind, so he should aspire to contemplating the supreme wisdom of the Dharma. Then he was shown the inner mind and also contemplating the supreme wisdom.
“If a bhikkhu, after contemplating, immediately knows: 'I have been contemplating the supreme wisdom of the Dharma, but have not yet been able to show my inner mind'. That bhikkhu has remained in the contemplation of supreme wisdom, so he should seek inner serenity of mind. He then gets contemplation of the supreme wisdom and also gets inner guidance.
"If a bhikkhu, after contemplating, immediately knows: 'I have not attained only the inner mind, nor have I attained supreme wisdom'. Thus, the Bhikkhu-stilts have not yet been this good; Because of wanting to be, one must quickly seek the means, study diligently, mindfully, rightly, and patiently, so as not to be put off. For example, a person whose head is burned by fire and his shirt is burned. He must quickly find a means to save his head and shirt. In the same way, a bhikkhu who has not yet obtained this good dharma, because he wants to get it, must quickly seek the means, study diligently, be mindful and righteous, not to be regressed. He then immediately gained insight into the mind and also contemplating the supreme wisdom.
"If a bhikkhu, after contemplating the mind, will immediately know: 'I have only been shown the inner mind, and I have also been contemplating the supreme wisdom of the Dharma. That bhikkhu has temporarily resided in this good dharma, so he should hope to realize the full knowledge of Lorna for himself [05] . Why? I say, 'It is not permissible to store all of y, but it is also permissible to store all of y [06] '.
“What kind of robes do I say must not be kept? If you store your robes but increase evil and unwholesome dharmas, degrade good dharmas, such kind of robes, I say do not store them.
“What kind of medicine do I say is allowed to be kept? If it is stored in robes and increases the good dharma, and degrades the evil and unwholesome dharma, such kind of robes, I say, are allowed to be stored.” Just like clothes, food, beds, hamlets, it's the same.
"I said, not everyone familiar, but also allowed the familiar saying everyone [07] .
“What kind of person do I say do not get along well? If you are familiar with the human body, the growth of evil and unwholesome dharmas, deterioration of good dharmas; Such people I preach are not familiar.
“What kind of person do I say is allowed to get along? If you are familiar with the human body, you will increase the good dharma, and degrade the evil and unwholesome dharma; Such a person I say is allowed to get acquainted.
“He knows the dharma as it really is and should practice it, and knows exactly what it is not to practice [08] . He knows that dharma should be practiced, dharma should not be practiced; for dharmas that should not be practiced, not practiced; for dharmas that should be practiced, practice immediately. He who does not practice the practice should not practice, who practices the practice should practice and then immediately increase the good dharma, degrade the evil unwholesome dharma.
"This is called a bhikkhu who is skillful in contemplating his own mind, well-knowing in his own mind, skillful in grasping, and skillful in equanimity."
Buddha said so. The Bhikkhu-stilts, after listening to the Buddha's lecture, joyfully served.END=NAM MO SHAKYAUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.13/12/2021`.
