THE FOOLS SUTRA: Being a human is very difficult, why not learn a sage early? VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
The Book of Wisdom
(Balapanditasuttam)
Like this I hear.
At one time the Blessed One was staying at Savatthi (Sāvatthi), at Jetavana (Kydala), at Anathapindika's vihara. There, the World-Honored One called the monks: "Monks." "Yes, venerable sir," those bhikkhus answered the Blessed One. The Buddha said the following:
There are, bhikkhus, these three characteristics, characteristics, and marks of a fool. What is three? Here, bhikkhus, a fool thinks evil thoughts, speaks evil words, and performs evil deeds. Monks, if a fool does not think evil thoughts, speak evil words, do not engage in evil deeds, then how can a wise person know that person: "This person is a fool, not a true person? " And since, bhikkhus, a fool thinks evil thoughts, speaks evil words, and conducts evil deeds, therefore, the wise know him: 'This person is a fool, not a true man'. That fool, bhikkhus, feels right now three kinds of pain and grief. Monks, if a fool is sitting in the midst of the assembly, or sitting on the side of a road with traffic passing by, or at a fork in a road, there (if) someone thinks of a suitable story about him. that. If a fool, bhikkhus, kills living beings, takes what is not given, Following sexual misconduct, lying, being drunk with yeast and cooking wine, often here, bhikkhus, such a fool thinks thus: 'Those people think of a suitable story about me, for the sake of these things. That dharma really exists in me, and I have those dharmas.” This, bhikkhus, is the first kind of suffering and grief, which a fool feels in the present moment.
Again, bhikkhus, when a fool sees that kings, after arresting a thief, commit a crime, he applies many other wrong punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks, they cut off their hands, they cut off their legs, they cut off their limbs, they cut off their ears, they cut off their noses, they cut off their ears and cut off their noses; they used the punishment of cauldron, they used the punishment of perversion (cutting the top of the head into the shape of a scallop) they used the punishment of la hou mouth, fire torture (burning the hand with fire), congratulation (burning hands) ), the execution area (weave the straw and then tighten it) the image of the body (using the bark of a tree to make a shirt), the antelope (the punishment of the mountain goat), the torture sentence (take a hook to hook the meat), the money penalty ( They cut meat into the shape of coins), shape-shaped blocks, shapeshifters, high-rises, they watered them with boiling oil, they fed dogs, they staked the living, they cut off their heads with swords. Here, bhikkhus, a fool thinks thus: “Because of such evil deeds, kings, after arresting a thief who committed a crime, immediately applied other wrong punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks, they cut off their hands, they cut off their legs, they cut off their limbs.. they cut off their heads with swords. Those dharmas are real in me and I have them. If the kings knew about me, after arresting me, they would apply many different punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks... they cut off their heads with swords. “This, bhikkhus, is the second kind of suffering and grief, which a fool feels in the present moment. If the kings knew about me, after arresting me, they would apply many different punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks... they cut off their heads with swords. “This, bhikkhus, is the second kind of suffering and grief, which a fool feels in the present moment. If the kings knew about me, after arresting me, they would apply many different punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks... they cut off their heads with swords. “This, bhikkhus, is the second kind of suffering and grief, which a fool feels in the present moment.
Again, bhikkhus, when a fool climbs up and sits on a chair, or on a bed, or lies on the ground, at that time his previous evil deeds, such as bad bodily actions, bad speech, and bad intentions. hanging, hanging, hanging, hanging over that person. For example, this Male-stilts, in the afternoon, the shadows of the mountain peaks hang lying, hanging pressure, hanging on the ground; In the same way, bhikkhus, when a fool sits on a chair, or sits on a bed, or lies on the ground, while his past kamma, that is, evil bodily, verbal, and mental , hanging down, hanging pressure, hanging over him. Here, bhikkhus, a fool thinks thus: 'Actually, I do not do good, do not do good, do not act against fear, do evil, do violence, do evil. error. By not doing good, not doing good, not doing what is against fear, by doing evil, to do violence, to do evil, to go to evil; That beast, after I die, I must go." He mourned, lamented, lamented, beat his chest, groaned, and fell into unconsciousness. This, bhikkhus, is the third suffering and pain, which even now, a fool feels.
Monks, that fool, after performing an evil bodily action, an evil verbal action, an evil mental action, with the breakup of his body, after death, is reborn in an evil realm, in an evil destination, in the lower realms, in hell. Bhikkhus, if anyone speaks correctly of such a person, it should be said that he is completely unkind, completely unappealing, completely unlikable. Just as it is true to say about Hell, it must be said that Hell is completely unkind, completely unlikable, completely unlikable. In this regard, bhikkhus, it is not easy even to give an example, for so much is the suffering of Hell.
When this was said, another bhikkhu said to the Blessed One:
- Venerable Sir, can the Blessed One give me an example?
The Ton replied:
- It is possible, this Male-stilts. For example, bhikkhu, someone caught a thief, brought him before the king and said: "Great king, this is a thief who commits a crime against you! Punish it as the King wishes.” And that king said the following about the thief: "Go, gentlemen, and in the morning stab this man with a hundred spears." And in the morning they stabbed him with a hundred spears. Then at noon the king said, "Gentlemen, how is he?" - "My Lord, it is still alive". Then the king said the following about the thief: "Gentlemen, go and at noon stab this man with a hundred spears." And at noon they stabbed him with a hundred spears. Then, in the evening, the king said, "Gentlemen, how is that man?" - "My Lord, it is still alive". Then the king said the following about the man: "Gentlemen, in the evening, they stabbed this man with a hundred spears.” And in the afternoon they stabbed him with a hundred spears.
What do you think, monks? He was stabbed with three hundred spears, because of that condition, did he experience pain and sorrow?
"World-Honored One, being stabbed by a spear only once, the other person also feels pain and sorrow because of that condition, let alone three hundred spears!"
Then the Blessed One picked up a small stone, the size of his hand, and said to the bhikkhus:
- What do you think, monks? What is bigger, this stone, the size of a hand picked up by me, or the Snow Mountain (Himava) king of all mountains?
"It's too small, Lord, this stone is as big as the hand picked up by the Blessed One." Compared to Tuyet Son, the king of mountains, it is insignificant, it is not a thousandth of times (of Snow Mountain) it cannot be compared!
“In the same way, bhikkhus, that person is stabbed by three hundred spears, and because of that condition experiences pain and grief. That suffering compared to the suffering and pain in Hell is insignificant, not equal to a thousand thousand times, incomparable. Monks, the hell-keepers make him suffer a penalty called five stakes (pancavidhabandhanam). They take red-hot iron stakes to drive into one hand, they take red-hot iron stakes to drive them into the second hand, they use red-hot iron stakes to drive them into the foot, they take red-hot iron stakes to drive them into the second foot, they Take a red-hot iron stake and drive it into the center of your chest. He is here experiencing painful, painful, and fierce sensations. But he cannot die until his evil karma has not been eliminated. Monks, the people in the hells make him lie down and chop him with hammers. He is here experiencing painful sensations, miserable, fierce. But he cannot die until his evil karma has not been eliminated. Monks, the Hell-keepers put him upside down with his feet above and his head below, and cut him off with a hammer. He feels here... (as above)... has not been eliminated. Monks, the Hell-keepers tie him to a chariot, and drag him back and forth across the red-burnt, burning-red, burning-red earth. He is here feeling... that has not been eliminated. Then, bhikkhus, the Hell-keepers pushed him up and pulled him down a mountainside full of burning coals, burning red, burning to the top, burning red. He feels here... (as above)... has not been eliminated. Then, bhikkhus, the Hell-keepers put him upside down with his feet above and his head below, and threw him into a cauldron of red-hot copper oil, burning red, burning to the top, burning red. He is cooked here with bubbling bubbles, here he is cooked with a boiling cauldron; Sometimes it floats to the top, sometimes it sinks to the bottom, sometimes it drifts sideways. He is here experiencing painful, painful, and fierce feelings. But he cannot die until his evil karma has not been eliminated. Then, bhikkhus, the keepers of Hell cast him into the Great Hell. The Male-stilts, that great hell, has four corners, four doors, divided into equal parts; surrounded by iron walls; iron roof on top. The Hell's background is red-hot iron, burning red; standing upright, always present, one hundred yojanas wide. The Hell's background is red-hot iron, burning red; standing upright, always present, one hundred yojanas wide. fiery red; standing upright, always present, one hundred yojanas wide. fiery red; standing upright, always present, one hundred yojanas wide.
Bhikkhus, with so many Dharma doors I speak of Hell, but it is difficult to say fully, monks, because suffering in Hell is so great.
There are, bhikkhus, living creatures of the kind that are living, breathing, and eating grass. They eat wet and dry grass, with their teeth chewed, that grass. What, bhikkhus, are these living beings of the type of living, breathing, grass-eating? Horses, buffaloes, cows, donkeys, goats, deer or other living creatures, of the type of living creatures, breathing, eating grass. Monks, that fool, having previously enjoyed life here, having previously done evil deeds, is here, after the breakup of the body, after death, reborn in association with these sentient beings, those living beings. herbivorous.
There are, bhikkhus, living beings of the kind that are living creatures, breathing and eating excrement. They smell the manure from afar, and immediately run over, thinking: "We will eat here, we will eat here". For example, brahmins running up, smelling the smell of the sacrifice, thought: "We will eat here, we will eat here". In the same way, bhikkhus, there are living beings of all kinds, of the kind that are born, have breath, and eat excrement. They smell the manure from afar, and immediately run over, thinking: "We will eat here, we will eat here". And, bhikkhus, what are these living beings, of the type of animal, that breathe and eat excrement? Chickens, pigs, dogs, jackals, or all kinds of other living creatures, of the living, breathing, dung-eating type. This, bhikkhus, is this fool who, having previously enjoyed his life here, has previously done evil deeds here,
There are, bhikkhus, living beings of the kind that are reborn, breathing, born in darkness, old in darkness, and dead in darkness. What are these, bhikkhus, of the living, breathing, living beings born in the dark, aging in the dark, and dying in the darkness? Insects, worms, maggots, moths, and other creatures of the living, breathing, living in darkness. Monks, that foolish person, having previously enjoyed life here, having previously done evil deeds here, after the breakup of his body after death, is born and dwells with these sentient beings, that is, all kinds of sentient beings. born in the dark, old in the dark, dead in the dark.
There are, bhikkhus, living beings of the kind that are born with breath, born in water, grow old in water, and die in water. And, bhikkhus, what are these living beings of the kind that are born, have breath, are born in water, grow old in water, and die in water? Fish, turtles, crocodiles, or other living things, of the kind that give birth, breathe, are born in water, grow old in water, and die in water. Monks, that fool, having previously enjoyed life here, having previously done evil deeds here, after the breakup of his body after death, is born and dwells with those sentient beings, that is, living beings. Love is born in water, grows old in water, dies in water.
There are, bhikkhus, living beings of the animal species, which have breath, are born in impurity, grow old in impurity, and die in impurity. And, bhikkhus, what are these living beings, of the kind that are born with a breath, are born in impurity, grow old in uncleanness, and die in uncleanness? Monks, what sentient beings are born in a rotten fish, or grow old in a rotten fish, or die in a rotten fish, or in a rotten corpse, or in rotten food, or in a pool of water, or are born in a swamp? water (glutinous)... old... or dead in a swamp (glutinous). Monks, that fool, having previously enjoyed life here, having previously done evil deeds here, after the breakup of his body, after death, is born and dwells with those sentient beings, that is, living beings. Sentient beings are born in impurity, grow old in impurity, and die in impurity.
Monks, with so many Dharma-doors, I speak of various kinds of animals, but it is difficult to say fully, bhikkhus, because the suffering of animals is so great.
For example, the Male-stilts, a person throws a log with a hole in the sea, a wind from the East blows it over to the west; a wind from the West blows it over to the east; a wind from the north blows it over to the south; a wind from the south blows it over to the north. Then there is a blind tortoise that emerges once every hundred years. What do you think, monks? Can that blind tortoise stick its neck into this tree hole?
"If it is possible, World-Honored One, it can only be done once, after a very long time.
– Even faster, the Male-stilts, that blind tortoise can crawl into the log with that hole; but, bhikkhus, I declare that it is more difficult to become a human again, once a fool has fallen into the lower realms. Why fin? For there, bhikkhus, there is no practice, no peaceful practice, no good practice, no good practice. Here, bhikkhus, there is only eating among each other and eating the flesh of the weak.
And if, bhikkhus, that fool were to become human again after a very long time, then he would be reborn in a lowly family, in a lowly family, in a hunter's family, In the family of the bamboo knitter, in the family of the car maker, or in the family of the manure maker, in the poor family, there is not enough to drink or eat, not even a cloth to cover the back is difficult to find. Again, he is ugly, hard to see, short, short, or sick, blind or handicapped, lame or paralyzed, he cannot have food, drink, linens, garlands, spices, or beds. lie down, shelter and light. He acts evil in body, evil in speech, evil in mind; because of evil action, evil speech, evil mind; After the breakup of the body, after death, one will be reborn in an evil realm, an evil destination, a lower realm, and hell.
For example, bhikkhus, a gambler, in his first gamble, loses his children, loses his wife, loses all his possessions, and ends up in prison. But, bhikkhus, this gambler was still small, and because of this first gamble, he lost his children, his wife, all his possessions, and ended up in prison. And this gamble is bigger, with that gamble a fool, through evil bodily actions, bad speech, and evil mental actions, after the breakup of his body and death, he must be reborn in an evil realm, in an evil destination, in the lower realms, in Hell. This, bhikkhus, is the perfectly complete ground of the fool.
There are, bhikkhus, these three characteristics, characteristics, and marks of the wise. What is three? Here, bhikkhus, a wise person thinks wholesome thoughts, speaks good speech, and performs wholesome deeds. Monks, if a wise man does not think good thoughts, speak good words, do not practice good deeds, then how can a wise man know him: "This is a wise man, a true man." . ? And since, bhikkhus, a wise man thinks and thinks, speaks good words, and does good deeds, so the wise know him: 'This is a wise man, a true man'. That wise person, bhikkhus, feels right now three kinds of joy. Monks, if a wise person sits in the midst of an assembly, or sits on the side of a road with traffic passing by, or at a fork in a road, there (if) someone thinks of a suitable story about him. it; if one is wise, bhikkhus, Abandoning killing, abstaining from taking what is not given, abstaining from sexual misconduct, abstaining from lying, abstaining from drunkenness, brewing, and drinking, then here, bhikkhus, a wise person thinks thus: "They think of a suitable story about me, because those things really exist in me, and I have them." This, bhikkhus, is the first kind of rapture, which the wise experience in the present moment.
Again, bhikkhus, when a wise man sees kings and lords, after arresting thieves and robbers, they apply various other wrongful punishments. They beat with whips, they beat with sticks, they beat with sticks... (as above)... they cut off their heads with swords. Here, bhikkhus, a wise man thinks thus: 'Because of such evil deeds, kings, after arresting a thief who committed a crime, immediately apply other wrongful punishments. They beat them with whips, they beat them with sticks... (as above)... they cut off their heads with swords, these things really don't exist in me, and I don't have them." This, bhikkhus, is the second kind of joy, which the wise feel in the present moment. Again, bhikkhus, when a wise person climbs up and sits on a chair, or on a bed, or lying on the ground, then the wholesome actions he has done before, such as friendly actions, good speech, and good mental actions. hanging, hanging, hanging over him. For example, this Male-stilts, in the afternoon, the shadows of the mountain peaks hang lying, hanging pressure, hanging on the ground; Likewise, bhikkhus, when a wise person sits on a chair, or sits on a bed, or lies on the ground, while his past kammas are evil bodily actions, bad speech actions, evil mental actions hanging down, hanging pressure, hanging over him. Here, bhikkhus, a wise man thinks thus: 'Actually, I do not do evil, do not do violence, do not do evil, but do good, do good, do what is anti-fear. scared. By not doing evil, not doing violence, not doing evil, by doing good, doing good, doing what resists fear, can go to any (good) animal, (good) animal after death. , I can go". He does not grieve, does not lament, does not lament, does not beat his chest, groans, and falls unconscious. This, bhikkhus, is the third joy, In the present moment, the wise experience feelings. Bhikkhus, a wise person, after performing a wholesome action, after performing a good verbal action, after doing a good mental act, after the breakup of the body, after death, is born in a good destination, in the heavenly world, in this world. Bhikkhus, if anyone speaks correctly of him, it should be said that he is perfectly fine, completely agreeable, completely agreeable. Just as to say correctly about the heavenly world, it must be said that the heavenly world is completely beautiful, completely likable, and completely pleasing. In this regard, bhikkhus, it is not easy even to give an example, for so much is the happiness of the heavenly world, Bhikkhus, if anyone speaks correctly of him, it should be said that he is perfectly fine, completely agreeable, completely agreeable. Just as to say correctly about the heavenly world, it must be said that the heavenly world is completely beautiful, completely likable, and completely pleasing. In this regard, bhikkhus, it is not easy to even give an example, for so much is the bliss of the heavenly world, Bhikkhus, if anyone speaks correctly of him, it should be said that he is perfectly fine, completely agreeable, completely agreeable. Just as to say correctly about the heavenly world, it must be said that the heavenly world is completely beautiful, completely likable, and completely pleasing. In this regard, bhikkhus, it is not easy even to give an example, for so much is the happiness of the heavenly world,
When this was said, another bhikkhu said to the Blessed One:
- Venerable Sir, can the Blessed One give me an example?
- It is possible, this Male-stilts. For example, bhikkhus, a wheel-turning king, who possesses the seven treasures and the four virtues of virtue, feels joy and happiness as a result of this condition. What is seven? Here, bhikkhus, the king of Shadli, having performed the empowerment ceremony, on the full moon day of the Bodhisattva, after washing his hair, went up to the high hall to practice precepts, and at the time of the celestial wheel, the treasure of a thousand stalks appeared. far, with rims, axles, all the parts. Seeing this, the king of Shad the capital performed the empowerment, thinking, "This is what I have heard: When a king of Shad the capital gave the empowerment on the full moon day of the Bodhisattva, after washing his hair, ascended to the heights. If there is a temple to practice precepts, if there is a precious heavenly wheel appearing, full of a thousand chariots, with rims and axles, complete with all parts, that king is the King of Wheels. Thus I can be the Wheel-turning King."
Then, bhikkhus, King Shadili, having given the empowerment, rose from his seat, put his upper robe on one shoulder, held a water jug in his left hand, and with his right hand sprinkled water on the treasure cart and said: This treasure cart, roll around. Hey, treasure car, conquer!" And, bhikkhus, the treasure chariot rolled to the east, and King Shadli gave the empowerment, with four kinds of troops following behind. And where, bhikkhus, the treasure chariot stopped, there King Shadli gave an empowerment, and took refuge with the four types of troops.
Monks, the enemy kings of the East came to see King Shadli, who had given the empowerment, and said: "Come here, great king!" Welcome, welcome King! Great King, it all belongs to you. Your Majesty, teach us!"
King Shadli gave an empowerment, saying: “Do not kill living beings. Do not take what is not given. Do not commit adultery. Do not lie. Do not drink alcohol. Let's eat to adapt."
Monks, all the enemy kings in the East have become vassals of King Shadli, who performed the initiation ceremony.
Then, bhikkhus, that precious chariot dived into the great sea in the East, then surfaced and dived to the South... . Where, bhikkhus, the treasure chariot stopped, there King Shadli gave an empowerment to dwell with the four types of armaments.
Monks, the enemy kings of the north came to see King Sadi-li, who performed the empowerment and said: "Come here, great king! Welcome, welcome King! Lord Great King; all belongs to Him, all belongs to Him. Your Majesty, teach us!"
Monks, all the enemy kings in the North have become vassals of King Shadli, who performed the empowerment ceremony.
This, bhikkhus, after conquering the earth as far as the sea, returned to the capital Kusavati, and stood in front of the royal court, on the door of the inner palace as a treasure for the inner palace of King Chassa. The imperial capital performed the empowerment ceremony. This, bhikkhus, is the appearance of the jeweled chariot of King Shadli, who has performed the empowerment.
Again, bhikkhus, a treasured elephant appeared to King Kassadi, who had been empowered, pure white, strong in the seven lands, possessed of divine power, flying in the air, and named Uposatha (Father- slap). Seeing (treasured elephant), King Shadili performed the empowerment ceremony, was filled with joy, and thought, "It would be good to ride this elephant, if it is governed." And, bhikkhus, like a The noble elephant is subject to long-term control, the precious elephant comes to be tamed. Monks, once upon a time, King Kassadi gave an empowerment to this treasured elephant, rode it early in the morning and rode across the earth as far as the sea border, and then returned to the capital Kusavati in time for breakfast. This, bhikkhus, is the appearance of the treasured elephant of King Kassadi who performed the empowerment.
Again, bhikkhus, a precious horse appeared to King Shadili, who had given the empowerment, pure white, with a black head like a crow, with a black mane, possessed of divine power, flying through the air and arrows. is Valahaka. Seeing (treasured horse), King Shadeli performed the empowerment ceremony, was filled with joy and thought: "It would be nice to ride this horse if it is subject to control." And, bhikkhus, like a noble horse, subject to a long reign, the precious horse comes by itself to be tamed. Monks, once upon a time, the king of Shadeli gave an empowerment to test this precious horse, rode it early in the morning, traveled all over the earth to the border of the sea, and returned in time to the capital Kusavati. breakfast. Thus, bhikkhus, appeared the jeweled horse of King Shadli, who had performed the empowerment.
Again, bhikkhus, jewels have appeared again to King Shadli, who has performed the empowerment. That jewel is lapis lazuli, clear, pure, eight-sided, hard to file, hard to sharpen, pure, transparent, perfect in all respects. This, bhikkhus, is the radiance of this precious jewel illuminating the whole of a yojana. Bhikkhus, in the past, King Shadli, who had performed the empowerment to test this jewel, arranged four armies, placed the jewel high on the flag, and was able to advance in the darkness of the night. . Monks, everyone in the surrounding village began to work, thinking that it was already morning. This, bhikkhus, is the appearance of the jewel of King Shadli who performed the empowerment.
Bhikkhus, a precious woman appeared again to King Kassadi, who had performed the empowerment, beautiful, endearing, well-mannered, with excellent skin color, not too tall, not too short, not fat. , not thin, not too black, not too white, surpassing the human color, the light equal to the color of the gods. Monks, this precious woman's body is (smooth) like cotton, like velvet. The Male-stilts, when it is cold, this precious woman's limbs become warm; When it's hot, it becomes cold. Monks, a precious woman's body radiates the fragrance of a sandalwood, and her mouth radiates the fragrance of a lotus flower. This, bhikkhus, this precious woman got up first and went to sleep after King Shadli had given the empowerment, and made every act of being a king pleasing, peaceful and pleasant. This precious woman, bhikkhus, has not a single thought of distrust towards the King of Kings who performed the empowerment, much less about the body. Hey monks,
Again, bhikkhus, a treasured lay-follower appeared to King Kassadi, who had received an empowerment, attained the divine eye, born of kamma, and by means of this divine eye was able to see buried treasures with owner or no owner. This precious lay person came to King Shadli, who gave the empowerment and said:
- "My Lord, Great King, don't worry, I will deal with the property of the Great King."
Bhikkhus, in the past, King Shadli had given an empowerment, and wanting to test this precious lay follower, he rode a boat, rowed out into the middle of the Ganges, and said to the treasured lay follower:
"- Hey layman, I need gold.
"-My lord, let's row the boat near any shore.
"- Hey layman, I need gold right here.
At that time, bhikkhus, the treasured lay layman thrust his hands into the water, lifted up a pot full of pure gold, and said to King Shadli, who had performed the empowerment:
"- Dear Great King, is that enough? Great King, is it okay to do so?"
King Shadli, who performed the empowerment, replied:
"- This layman, that is enough. Hey Layman, it's okay to do so. This layman, it is okay to make an offering like this."
This, bhikkhus, is the appearance of the treasured lay follower of King Shadli who performed the initiation ceremony.
Again, bhikkhus, a treasured general who appeared to King Kassadi gave an empowerment, educated, intelligent, discerning, capable of admonishing King Kassadi as he did. Initiation ceremony, when it is worth going forward, when it is worthwhile to go back, when it is worth stopping, stop:
This person went to King Shade-li, who performed the empowerment ceremony:
"- Dear Great King, Great King do not worry, I will advise Great King".
This, bhikkhus, is the appearance of the precious general of King Shadli who performed the empowerment ceremony.
Monks, King Satdi-li has given the full empowerment of the seven treasures.
Again, bhikkhus, the king of Shadli has performed the empowerment with all four virtues. How is four ?
Monks, King Shadi-li gave the empowerment, handsome, charming, elegant in manners, excellent in appearance, seeing far beyond everyone. This, bhikkhus, is according to the will of King Shadli, who performed the initiation ceremony.
Again, bhikkhus, the king of Shadli has given the empowerment to live a long life, and his life span is far superior to that of others. This, bhikkhus, is according to the second virtue of King Shadli, who performed the empowerment ceremony.
Again, bhikkhus, the king of Shadli has given the empowerment of few diseases, few calamities, and the body heat is not too cold, not too hot, has been divided by military division to regulate digestion, and overcomes all diseases. others. This, bhikkhus, is as the third virtue of King Shadli has performed the empowerment ceremony.
Again, bhikkhus, the king of Shadili, having performed an empowerment, was adored and loved by brahmins and householders. This Male-stilts, as a father is respected and loved by his children; So too, bhikkhus, the king of Shadeli who performed the empowerment was respected and loved by brahmins and householders. Monks, the Brahmins and householders were respectfully and loved by King Shaddi. This Male-stilts, as sons are respected and loved by their fathers; In the same way, bhikkhus, brahmins and householders have been respectfully and loved by King Shadli. Once upon a time, bhikkhus, the king of Shade-li had an empowerment and went to a garden with four kinds of troops. Monks, the Brahmins and householders who came to King Shaddi gave empowerments and said:
"- Dear Great King, please go slowly so that we can admire longer. ".
Bhikkhus, but King Shadli, who had performed the empowerment, ordered the charioteer:
"- Driver, drive slowly enough so that we can see the Brahmins and Housekeepers longer."
Thus, bhikkhus, it is according to the will of King Shadli that the fourth virtue has performed the empowerment ceremony.
And, bhikkhus, the king of Shadeli gave the empowerment, thinking: "Now let's build lotus ponds among the rows of tala trees, about a hundred bows away!"
Monks, the King of Wheels has all these four virtues.
What do you think, monks? King of Wheels, full of seven treasures and four like virtues; Because of that predestined, is there a feeling of happiness?
- The Blessed One, the King of Wheels is only full of one treasure, due to that predestined condition, has a feeling of joy and happiness; what else to say is full of the seven treasures and the four wish-fulfilling virtues.
Then the Blessed One picked up a small stone, the size of his hand, and said to the bhikkhus:
- What do you think, monks? What's bigger? Is this stone, as big as my hand picked up by me, or is the Snow Mountain, king of all mountains?
"It is too small, Lord, is this stone, as big as a hand, picked up by the Blessed One, compared to the Snow Mountain king of all mountains, it is insignificant, it is not equal to a thousand thousand times." of Snow Mountain), it is incomparable.

If, bhikkhus, such wise person, after a very long period of time, is reborn as a human, he will be born into a noble family of the great Kassadins, or Brahmins.
