Sutra of Five Tastes.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
-------------------------- 1) At one time the World-Honored One was living in Baranasi (Para-complaints), at Isìpatana (the land of fallen ancestors) , Loc Uyen garden.
2) Here the Blessed One said to the group of five bhikkhus: "Monks." "Yes, sir, venerable sir." Those bhikkhus obeyed the Blessed One. The Blessed One said the following:
3) - Form, bhikkhus, is not-self. Monks, if rupa were self, rupa could not lead to illness and could acquire forms as follows: 'May my form be like this! I hope my color isn't like this!"
4) And, bhikkhus, for form is not-self. So rupa goes to sickness, and can't have rupas: "May my form be like this! I hope my color isn't like this!"
5) Feeling, bhikkhus, is not-self. If feeling, bhikkhus, were a self, it would not lead to illness, and it would be possible to experience it as follows: "May my life be like this! I hope my life isn't like this!"
6) And, bhikkhus, for feeling is not-self. Therefore, feeling goes to sickness, and cannot have feelings: “May my life be like this! I hope my life isn't like this!"
7) Thought to be selfless...
8) Formations are not-self, bhikkhus, if formations were self, then formations cannot lead to illness and can be performed as follows: "May my formations be like this! I hope my actions aren't like this!"
9) And, bhikkhus, because formations are selfless. Thus, formations go to sickness, and it is not possible to have formations: “May my formations be like this! I hope my actions aren't like this!"
10) Consciousness is not-self, bhikkhus, if consciousness were self, time-consciousness cannot go to sickness, and consciousness can be obtained thus: "May my consciousness be like this! I hope my consciousness isn't like this!"
11) And, bhikkhus, for consciousness is not-self. Thus consciousness goes to sickness, and it is not possible to have consciousness: “May my consciousness be like this! I hope my consciousness isn't like this!"
12) What do you think, monks? Is form permanent or impermanent?
- It is impermanent, World-Honored One!
What is impermanent is suffering or pleasure?
- It is suffering, World-Honored One.
- What is impermanent, suffering, subject to change, is it reasonable to contemplate that as: "This is mine, this is me, this is my self"?
- No, venerable sir.
13-15) – Feeling... Thought... Actions...
16) Is consciousness permanent or impermanent?
- It is impermanent, venerable sir.
What is impermanent is suffering or pleasure?
- It is suffering, World-Honored One.
- What is impermanent, suffering, subject to change, is it reasonable to contemplate that as: "This is mine, this is me, this is my self"?
- No, venerable sir.
17) - Therefore, Male-stilts, what physical form is past, future, present, internal or external, gross or subtle, inferior or superior, far or near; All rupa should be contemplated as it really is with right wisdom thus: "This is not mine, this is not me, this is not my self".
18) What is life...
19) What do you think...
20) All the actions...
21) Any consciousness of the past, future, present, internal or external, gross or subtle, inferior or superior, far or near; All consciousness should be contemplating with right wisdom as it really is: "This is not mine, this is not me, this is not my self".
22) Seeing this, bhikkhus, the learned noble disciple is disenchanted with form, disenchanted with feeling, disenchanted with perception, disenchanted with robes, and disenchanted with consciousness. Due to separation, he is away from greed. Due to dispassion, he is liberated. In liberation, knowledge arises: 'I am liberated'. He knows well: "Birth is over, the holy life has been accomplished, what should have been done has been done, there is no going back to this state."
23) Thus the Blessed One said. The group of five bhikkhus rejoiced and believed in the Blessed One's words. While this teaching was being said, the mind of the group of five bhikkhus was liberated from the defilements, free from attachment.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY= VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.8/10/2021.
