In the face of death, in addition to the wholesome and unwholesome karma we have accumulated over the course of our past lives, another important factor that determines the result of rebirth is the state of mind before death (or even death). called near-death karma). The tree it has tilted in any direction, it will fall in that direction only… just do good many times at the end of life, there will be some bad evil mind; If there is fruit, it will only fall for a short time ... then depending on karma, she will be reborn 1. Queen Malika (Mat Loi) has fallen to Hell for 7 days due to near-death unwholesome karma, haunted by a bad deed. Queen Malika is an excellent female assistant of the Buddha, believes in Buddha and understands the scriptures, practices, many good karmas... However, life is difficult to argue with; lustful with dogs and lied, using words to deceive the king of Persia in order to deny guilt. It was that obsession until her death, she was programmed by the near-death karma to fall into the Abhi Hell, but 7 days later thanks to the blessing of good karma (doing a lot of revival, she was reborn in the Tusita heaven). Queen Mallikā gently smiled, feeling light, serene; however, she did carry a felony with the king, many years ago it came back to haunt her! And the story is as follows: The number is that the queen entered the bathroom without noticing that her pet dog also came in. When he crouched down, unexpectedly, the dog saw this and did "unclean" behavior with her. And she left it alone. From the upper floor of the palace, through the glass door, the king happened to see it all. He went down and, for the first time, scolded her severely. She was smart, so she tried to deny it and resist: "Your Majesty, don't think unfairly for me. That room was strange. Who's in there, Everyone else looking at it will see weird images!” The king, who was honest, asked, "Is that so?" She said, "Then you should go in there and try?" The king went inside, closed the door, and outside, she shouted: "What is the king doing to be so ashamed of the she-goat?" Again the king argued: "I did nothing!" Then she lied: "I can see it clearly with my own eyes!" Believing that, the king ignored the question again. However, Queen Mallika always felt insecure. Although she deceived the king, she committed a mortal sin. The Buddha knew about that, and all the elders, monks and nuns with superior knowledge, knew, so she was always ashamed in her heart. From that point on, she secretly vowed in her heart to practice better and do more good deeds. The weight of sin, even if it's only a grain of sand, it will sink and fall to the four evil lines. But the sinful weight of a large stone, lying in the lap of a great dharma boat, it will not sink, it will float. She still remembers the content of a dharma about good and evil that the Buddha gave that impressive image. Therefore, she placed bowls and made many offerings to the Buddha and Sangha, amounting to one hundred and forty million gold coins. As for the Buddha, she offered him four priceless treasures: a white umbrella, a bed, a chair and a foot support. All of them are made of jewels, and are only for display, but the Blessed One never used them. The story goes that, when Queen Mallikā was dying, she forgot all of the good deeds in her life, but that evil image reappeared, completely dominating the final consciousness, programming near death karma, bringing her to rebirth in the hell of Abhi. King Pāsenadi loved Queen Mallikā very much, so he was in great pain and sorrow. After the cremation ceremony, the king went to meet the Buddha, wanting to ask where she was reborn. The World-Honored One knew the matter well, knowing that the king loved Queen Mallika, if he knew her current state, he would suffer even more. Again, if you know that she, a person of firm faith, giving generously and sincerely, falls into hell, what will be the future king's fate? And just like that, all faith in him would perish. Because of that, the Buddha cleverly used supernatural powers to make the king completely forget the reason for going to the monastery, he only preached the Dharma, and the king heard it and returned to the palace with joy. The story repeats like that for seven days, the king only has to get angry, blame himself, why the memory is getting worse and worse, so poor! And Queen Mallika, After seven days of suffering in hell to return the results, due to the overwhelming strength of merit and kindness, she was reincarnated into the Tusat heaven. On the eighth day, the Buddha alone, holding his alms bowl, went to the palace. The king heard the news, invited him to the upper hall, but the Buddha just wanted to sit in the garage. After offering a bowl full of hard and soft foods to the Buddha, the king bowed down to him and asked the question he had forgotten for the past seven days, which is the queen's place of rebirth. The World-Honored One smiled: - Currently, she is enjoying heavenly bliss in the Tusita heaven, great king! Hearing that, the king felt a little comforted, but the nostalgia for the queen was still unrelenting: - World-Honored One! Since she went to another world, I feel like I have lost my life. Buddha comforted: - Great king should not be heartbroken. That is the unchanging law for all sentient beings, No one can avoid it. But in the case of the queen, the king should be happy for her! - Why? – Because of her merits and blessings, her loss is like renewing a more precious car! - I have not been understood. The Buddha pointed to a car: - Great King, whose car is this? - The Blessed One, my grandfather's. - What about this car? - Of my father, venerable sir. - What about the other car? - Mine! Buddha smiled: - It turns out that my father's car is newer than my grandfather's car, my car is newer than my father's car. The queen has just bought the newest and most beautiful car in the Tusita heaven, great king! Seeing that the king understood that truth, the Buddha explained more deeply about the Dharma: - But the cars are decorated so splendidly, beautifully, and so preciously that they will eventually become old, decaying, and rotten. The body of the Tathagata is the same, but so is the body of the king, it will be senile and senile. Only the Dharma is in the mind of the wise,1 which is not subject to corruption and old age. Seeing and knowing that, the wise people in this world must know how to clarify that teaching to good people, good people, great king! These teachings of the Buddha are condensed in a verse: How beautiful the king's chariot is Ornately decorated, worn out until this age. truth, harmony and goodwill!2 The king believed in the Buddha's teachings, relieved his sorrows and considered him as a solid spiritual refuge. That result, partly thanks to his beloved queen. But the king did not know that, Sujātā in Sujāta-Jātaka3, Kinnarī in Bhllāṭiya-Jātaka4, and Sambula in 1 I mean Arahant saints. 2 Dhammapada 151: “Jiiranti ve rārathā sucittā atho sārīraṃ pi janaṃ upeti; sataṃ ca dhammo na jaraṃ upeti santo have sabbhi pavedayanti”. 4 J.iv.444.Sambula-Jātaka1; In all three of those lives, he was her dear husband. Queen Mallikā was known as one of the most devoted, enthusiastic and excellent disciples of the Buddha's female attendants. 2. King Ashoka became angry and snaked. The death of King Asoka, the Emperor known as a great protector of the Buddhadharma, is a vivid testament to the life-giving power of near-death karma. . Historically, King Asoka built 84,000 pagodas, 84,000 great stupas, paid for the third collection of the Sutras, and practiced countless virtuous actions towards the Three Jewels. When dying, The king ordered that the treasures in the storehouse should be given out in a great alms to do good deeds before he died. When the storekeeper protested, the king was angry about this and died. That anger caused him to be reincarnated as a poisonous snake in the royal garden waiting for a favorable opportunity to bite the storekeeper to take revenge. But thanks to the accumulated merits from the previous life, after meeting a recluse who preached the Dharma because of snakes, because of hearing the Dharma, the King was freed from the snake body and reborn in heaven. 3. Falling in love with the devil In the past, in Vuong Xa citadel, there was a rich family, but he only gave birth to a son. Being pampered by his parents, he refused to study, all day he only knew how to enjoy himself. When their parents died one by one, due to their habit of living a lavish lifestyle, the inheritance they left behind soon dissipated. The young man became poor and became a homeless beggar. Lured by a thief into a major burglary at a rich man's house, the young man was arrested and executed. On the way to the place of execution, the most beautiful prostitute in the city recognized the rich man's son, moved to remember his old love, and asked someone to send the condemned man one last delicious meal. At the same time, Venerable Muc Kien Lien was also in the city of Vuong Xa. He used his divine eye to observe the dire situation of the deceased and the world in which the young man would fall because he had never done any good deeds in his life. He immediately appeared in front of the sinner, causing the young man to develop deep reverent joy towards the virtuous and majestic monk. He immediately made up his mind to offer the last meal to Venerable Muc Kien Lien. Mr. Muc Kien Lien graciously accepted the meal, dedicated his prayer to the young man and left. The boy was then executed. Before he died, thanks to his devotion to the Elder Muc Kien Lien as well as the merit of offering meals to an Arahant, he had enough blessings to be reborn in the heavenly realm. At the same time, however, his soul was moved by the thought of the prostitute and her sincere love for him on the verge of death, a strong attachment arose. Because of this bondage, he was reborn as a tree god in the forest outside Vuong Xa citadel, embracing the wish to meet the prostitute again. 4. Paying homage to the Buddha born in the heavens At the time when the World-Honored One was staying in the royal city, he observed that in the area of the people of Chindala, the poor social class, no one had any contact with, there was a The old woman is about to die and a bad karma will send her straight to hell. In order to save the old woman from being reborn in the good world, The Buddha and a large number of bhikkhus entered the city of Vajrasattva for alms just as the old woman, Chindala, was walking out of the city with a cane. Seeing the Buddha approaching, she stopped. Venerable Muc Kien Lien urged her to bow down to the Blessed One. When the old woman listened to the Venerable's words, her heart filled with emotion, she generated faith towards the Guru, bowed down to him with the five parts of her body close to the ground, and out of joy before the Buddha, she stood still with one mind. bowed silently. Immediately after that, a cow ran away with the calf, rushed towards the old woman, and rammed her with its horns for life.
