The six words Amitabha eradicates the five desires
Life in this world, everyone wants to enjoy the five pleasures, beauty, beautiful voice, fragrance, sweetness and smooth touch are necessary needs that everyone wants to seek. to satisfy their own pleasure.
The five desires are the five desires of a being, like to be fully satisfied in the five worlds, so it is also called the five senses.
The Buddha often reminded everyone to know the harmful effects of the five desires, not to be greedy.
1. Wealth: Desire money, wealth, gold, and material possessions.
2. Lust: passionately passionate about beautiful beauty.
3. Fame: Desire position, high power, high position, good reputation.
4. Practicality: Desire to eat delicious food, delicious food a lot.
5. Lust: Greed wants to sleep a lot.
Lust: Desires beauty, likes good signs. Lust: Desire for a good, sweet voice….Scent: Desire for a sweet aroma….Sex: Desire for delicious food and drink…Sex: Desire for a soft, pleasant touch….
A person who indulges in excessive passion for the five lusts is like a dog gnawing on a dry bone, like a man carrying fire against the wind, like sucking blood and spitting his mouth, like storing poisonous snakes in the house, enjoying the five desires without moderation and moderation will afflict us now and in the future.
In the Maitreya Sutra, the Buddha taught: Bhikkhus, you! Already able to abide in the precepts, you must know how to control the five senses and not let go of the five desires. For example, like a buffalo herder, holding a whip to look at it, does not allow any offense to human rice, if we let the five senses, i.e. eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body... run after the five desires... it will cause great harm, just as a horse does not use it. the reins of restraint, it will bring us into pits, thorns...
The five sensual pleasures are the five objects that people often come into contact with, mentioned by the Buddha in many sutras. The Buddha often reminded his disciples to have a cautious attitude towards the five desires. He did not encourage excessive abandonment of the five desires to live an ascetic life, because of those two extreme lifestyles. are not leading to peace and happiness in the present and in the future.
Harm of the five desires for Buddhists
Everyone in the world wants to pursue happiness in order to enjoy the five sensual pleasures including money, beauty, fame, position, eating and sleeping freely, depending on each person's blessings. or poor in enjoyment. Enjoying the five senses as a necessity of human life and everyone thinks that it is the condition that brings happiness.
The Buddha often reminds everyone to know the harmful effects of the five desires , not to be greedy. Money or material possessions are a means to sustain our existence, but it is made by us, so when we eat and drink, we must conceive of eating to live, not living to eat. Then, sleep is also a necessary need, if we only indulge in the desire to get rich to enjoy the pleasures of beauty, then our health will be destroyed quickly and life expectancy will decrease.
The Buddha encouraged everyone to reduce excessive desires, to seek within their means, to be temperate in all needs to have peace and serenity, without worries, disappointments, and fears. …makes me sad and miserable.
The desire, desire for sex is the driving force that motivates people to work actively to have a stable life. Therefore, the desire and desire for sensual pleasures causes people more suffering than happiness.
When we are greedy for something that also brings joy and happiness to ourselves, for example, we feel excited when we eat well and dress well; happy in the high house with wide doors; comfortable when full of amenities; happy and happy when he has a beautiful wife and beautiful children, and is entitled to high positions, has a lot of money, servants, servants...
The Buddha only advised us to want to know as little as possible
The Buddha only advised us to want to know less , which means that we know moderation, know how to be in harmony to have peace of mind, happiness right here and now. And avoid the consequences of suffering, in anxiety, fear, disappointment ... due to excessive desire.
Money and wealth is a means of exchange for useful use in the relationship of life, such as eating, sleeping, and sleeping are necessary human needs. Basically, humans are beings of the sex realm, born and existing by sex, people need to have needs for food, clothing, shelter, disease, rest, entertainment, travel, and communication. and enjoy the emotions of sensory pleasures… Humans cannot live without eating, sleeping, entertaining, relaxing after work.
Material possessions are the lifeblood of all people. The pulse jumps, blood circulates throughout the body, so humans live and exist. Talent is the human ability acquired by studying, researching, exploring, practicing and knowing how to apply and promote in life to pursue happiness.
Five desires are better than poison arrows
In life, everyone has talent, more or less depending on each person's ability. From that talent, people make money to feed themselves and their families and contribute to building peace and happiness for society. Property generally includes all material means related to human life, including gold, silver, money, houses and land.
In the past, when people did not know how to use money, they only exchanged goods by material means to meet their living needs. Later, civilized and progressive people should invent money as a means of balancing material values, money is an important clue to make people passionate about promoting their talents to get a lot of money.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.9/10/2021.
