There are two paths liberating thought out evil , ignorance , wrong view , the ego that is right understanding and right thought . We set aside through right understanding , the understanding of intellectual intuition , here only refers to the conversion of ideological mistakes immoral by ideological correctness gentle charity only.
Thoughts or thoughts are of two types: right thinking and wrong thinking . Right thinking is a factor in the Noble Eightfold Path , belonging to the wisdom part, the Pali term is called sammā sankappa: sammā is right , the sankappa due to the verb sankappeti is to meditate , to think or to think . Knowing thinking thoughtful way transform the thinking astray . Sanskrit nouns :Sanna (idea), Vitakka (range), cinta ( thoughtfully ), paccavekkhana (in bars), ānupassanā (custom shop) ... but its own means, but here is seen as synonymous with sankappa ( thinking ) .
Of the three stages of wisdom, the development of wisdom (bhāvanā pannā) i.e. vipassanā meditation in the third stage is completely absent from thought , but in the wisdom ( cintā pannā) of the second stage, thinking is capable of giving rise to wisdom. wisdom , but that thinking must be righteous thinking . If you have right thoughts, then actions and words will be right. Thus we see that: right thinking plays an important role in the practiceto transform unwholesome thoughts into good ones, and wrong thoughts into right ones .
Right thought or right thought is the antidote to three kinds of false thinking . So first of all we need to know what is wrong thinking . Wrong thinking is the thought that gives rise to unwholesome dharmas, increases greed, hatred, delusion, conceit , wrong view , etc. leads to wrong speech , wrong karma , wrong life ... There are three types of wrong thinking or wrong thoughts, Typical evil thoughts and ideas :
1) statues (kama- Sanna):
Thinking about sensual pleasures (kāmasukha) , that is, the mind seeking to satisfy sensory sensations , in other words, thoughts clinging to wealth, form, profit, fame or in the five sensual pleasures : form, sound, smell, taste, and taste. , exposure increases growth greedy , reduce the static segment . As an alcoholic often thinks of the feeling of ecstasy and drunkenness.
2) Thoughts of hatred (vyāpāda-sannā):
Is mind discontent, anger , jealousy , anxiety , fear about the object did not please congeniality. These thoughts upset , discontent , antagonism does grow heart hatred , segment fell love love, kindness . For example , angry people often think of the object of obstacles or adversity with an angry mood.
3) Harmful thoughts (vihi ṁsā-sannā):
Thinking of ways to harm the enemy or leveling adversity , and the most extreme is the thought of wanting to destroy the opponent . Thought this might lead to violence , terrorism , robbery, murder etc. Disadvantage idea as growing brutality, segment decreased compassion . Like a person who has the mind of revenge , revenge often thinks of evil schemes to torment and torment the opponent without thinking about the suffering of others. is also our own suffering, harming others is self-harm.
The three wrong thoughts mentioned above all have the common characteristic of increasing evil dharmas , reducing good dharmas and leading to harming oneself and harming others. To transform the three types of thought of this we need to cultivate episode three right thinking :
1) Separation of sensuality (nekkhamma-sannā):
Is thinking about the nature of impermanence , suffering, selflessness , impure of five desires (color, sound, smell, taste, touch). The Buddha compared the birth, death , and dissolution of the five elements , in general, to conditioned dharmas , to dreams , to illusions , to bubbles, to illusions , to dew, to lightning in the sky. Is often contemplate the nature impure , dangerous, damaging of the five desires , the new escape bondage of lust . Life of us would carefree , happy than when no longer sensual dominant . Just as a thought Western said: "To get the happy noble then shun the pleasures despicable"
Thinking to the impure , the defilements of the body (thirty two possible degenerations) helps reduce the desire body, think about the dirty , dangerous animals really help reduce greed insatiable in eating etc.
2) Glass of thought (abyāpāda-sannā):
Do not harbor thoughts of hatred in your heart . In the Dhammapada, the Buddha taught:
" He insulted me, beat me, my victory and my plundered. Those who embrace every mind like that hatred never subside ... who detachment in mind that the resentment there must dissipate".
(Akkochi ma avadhi ma , ajīni ma ahāsi me, ye ca ta upanayhanti, vera tesa na sammati...ye ca ta nūpanayhanti vera tesūpasammati).
Another passage teaches: "One must get rid of anger , must avoid conceit, and cut off all attachments, then defilements cannot be dominated ." In fact , people who harbor thoughts of anger harm themselves more than they harm others.
Want metabolism is thought of hatred must be eradicated in mind that by practicing virtue kindness (Metta). because only the heart from loving new kill hatred (averena verani sammanti) whereas hatred only makes hatred extra pile .
40 headings meditation , heading for value aversion is developing metta (Metta bhāvanā). Want to develop compassion charity before every mind must be cool , gentle , forgiving , generous with himself, the frustrations, stress , sadness , anxiety , fear , anger, newly calm. The courts themselves are not new spread kindness to those around it. Thus, the contemplativeWords must always keep the mind open, fresh and cool like nectar , constantly thinking like this :
"May all sentient beings be free from enmity , always be at peace." (Sabbe sattā averā hontu, sukhitā hontu). We can be like a great idea at any time and not have to sit cross-legged for hours as the practice of headings meditation else. On the other hand, when we hate someone, we often think badly of that person, not knowing that doing so will only develop more resentment in us. The suffering that the Buddha taught in the Truth of Suffering is due to angercause. So thinking well of others is also a way to help us transform our anger and develop loving-kindness .
Merit every time we do good deeds , is also a form of another's kindness . Thanks to recite the mind from which gradually practitioner rid the hearts of resentment , envy , avarice , selfishness and promote kindness compassion, tolerance , altruism , generosity .
A level can only called bodhisattva when did rise to save sentient beings , that is to have the mind of compassion export them, they can not see themselves as Bodhisattva when the mind holding on hatred unfairly left.
3) Lying harmful thoughts (avihi ṁsa-sannā):
It is to get rid of thoughts that harm others. Humans are too attached to ego and ego, so they are ready to harm and destroy anyone who touches their rights and honor . But if you know your pride and know how to protect your own happiness and survival, why not respect the happiness and safety of others? Germany Confucius says: "Proceedings sterility facility's animals then u" (something we do not want, do not make). So, if we don't want to suffer , why seek happiness?on the suffering of others. And why don't we find happiness by bringing happiness to others , as the Western proverb says: "The hand that gives the rose is fragrant first".
We should remember the following teachings of Germany From Fathers : "Everyone is afraid of the sword, everyone is afraid of death . Get the belly I think belly people, should not kill, nor cause anyone to kill" so often regular practice of mind of compassion, tolerance , forgiveness virtually eradicated in mind to harm others. "
The object of meditation against the harm of perception is the development of compassion (karunā bhāvanā). If the mind from not angry with anybody but just hope for everyone , all species are at peace , then compassion is not the heart to harm anyone because nobody want suffering . Seeing others suffering , people who develop compassion often observe and think about their own suffering to sympathize and share with the suffering of sentient beings .
Above we have just talked about the three right thoughts against the three wrong thoughts. In addition , the Buddha also taught ten more objects to help thinking become more righteous:
1) THINKING OF Impermanence (ANICCA SANNĀ):
Meditate on the impermanence of all things . Upon seeing the birth and death of the phenomenon of birth - physical as well as developments introspective , we volition that: The method by many conditions , causes and conditions together that arise must be governed by law impermanent (sabbe sankhārā aniccā'ti). Or think: Indeed, conditioned dharmas are impermanent and have the nature of birth and death(aniccā vata sankhārā, uppādavaya dhammino). Thinking mature so help us transform the illusion often is the policy of the ego and the world is eternal immutable .
2) THINKING OF Suffering (DUKKHA SANNĀ):
Meditate on the suffering nature of life in psycho- physical phenomena . The word suffering here not only refers to the suffering of the body or the mind, such as: birth, old age, pain, death, love to be far away, hate to be near, not to be sought, sorrow , lamentation, suffering, resentment, affliction . .. but also includes the useless , disadvantageous , annoying , unsatisfactory nature of conditioned dharmas (Sabbe sankhāra dukkhā'ti). The conditioned Dharma here refers to mental sparks artifacts psychology as greed, aversion, delusion, the mind conceit , bigotry , etc. Think properly about the nature of suffering helps us transform the illusion paragraph is or conception mistakes of the happiness in sensual (kamasukha).
3) CELEBRATION OF THE MEMORIAL EGOLESSNESS (anattà Sanna):
Meditate on the emptiness of all dharmas. Phenomenon is always changing, so there is no entity . All phenomena are composite , typically human is just a long series of psycho- physical phenomena ( five aggregates ) , including body and mind or mentality (nāma) and rupa (rūpa) so there is no entity . called the Ta. The so-called ego is only a process of formation of perception, only in Illusion , completely unreal, so called no-self . It is not only psycho- physical phenomena that are not-self , but all things are not-self (sabbe dhammā anattā'ti) even though it is Nirvana. Through thinking about the nature of no-self , we gradually come out of the illusion of self-grasping and ego .
4) BURNING PLANT IDEAS (ĀHĀRE PATIKKŪLA SANNĀ):
Meditate to properties worth boredom of real objects . There is a proverb : "An to live, not to live to eat" . Life is not for enjoyment, insatiable insatiable in exotic delicacies. People with material blessings can eat and dress happily , but people who are more blessed don't matter what they eat, even if they are bad or delicious, they are still moderate and contented . So the Buddha taught the bhikkhus to be moderate in their food (Bhojanamhi mattannū) and to visualizeFood is only the four elements , is impure , and is only used for the purpose of hunger relief, to maintain health , not for infatuation with taste. Traditional Chinese medicine says that "imported cedar" is to warn us of the dangers of food. The food is beautifully processed , tastes delicious and nutritious, but there are also many dangers inside, it is not beautiful when it is being processed and soon it will become rotten, stinky and dirty. bearable. Contemplating like this, we reduce The mind indulges in the enticing taste of food.
5) CELEBRATION OF THE MEMORIAL WORLD NO PEANUTS (sabba Loke ANABHIRATI Sanna):
There is nothing to enjoy in the world of contemplation . Thoughts of freedom are free from attachment to all worldly dharmas . The word world (loka) according to the ultimate (paramattha sacca) is what comes from the roots of greed, hatred, and delusion, in other words the result of ignorance and craving . The Buddha taught that sentient beings are governed by the eight worldly dharmas : gain and loss, fame and failure, praise and blame, pleasure and pain. Who transforms?was thought out three base immoral , no problems in the eight vicissitudes of the earth shall surely be liberated , liberated .
6) CELEBRATION OF DEATH (MARANA SANNĀ):
Meditation on death is the natural law of all beings (sabbe sattā marissant, marananta ṁ hi jīvita ṁ). In the Three Realms, no one can avoid death, be it a demon king or a brahmin . So thinking of death is not pessimism but a positive , courageous and wise attitude . Courage for daring to face the truth , positive for trying to live with meaning to not chargea lifetime of people short and wise because not fear the death or self- deceive themselves with dreams of immortality immortality.
One thinker said: "The art of living is like the art of racquetball, which means always being ready for the unexpected." Death anniversary is ready to receive the truth that calmly equanimity . The contemplative of death thinks:
- Death comes suddenly like a murderer appears
- Death as a bankrupt comprehensive : career and body and mind
- The great man in the world has to die, how can we avoid it
- The life is this symbiotic types of beings different
- Life is fragile depending on the four elements , breath , food, weather ...
- No one can predict when death will come because it is invisible
- Life network of people only have limited nobody can immortality
- In fact, death takes place in each brief moment of birth and death of the body and mind
Those who remember death will have benefits such as: Living diligently without letting loose , not being greedy, not clinging , not doing evil, not accumulating, easily seeing the three signs of impermanence - suffering - not-self , when dying without confusion confused and afraid , after death he is reborn in a good realm .
7) CELEBRATION OF THE MEMORIAL OF unconscious (ASUBHA Sanna):
Meditate on the impure nature of the body. Asubha is impure , referring to the 32 filthy bodies in our body such as sweat, urine, pus, blood, phlegm, mucus ... Why did the Buddha teach us to visualize the body as impure? As we often see, many people because they love and respect the body, take care of it, protect it at any cost. Seeing this body of the four great composites as me and mine, Buddhism calls it body view . Dear antis one of the ten dominant bondage ( fetters ) that people want liberation must sever. But do not misunderstand that the destruction of the body view is the destruction of one's own body. Main Buddha taught to preserve the body robust to easily cultivate thoughts. And we must know that keeping the body healthy is another thing, and over- valuing the body is another. A healthy person can sacrifice his life for the gesture selfless noble, but too treasureThe body, on the contrary, is ready to harm others when it is hurt .
Purpose thoughts impure are for us transform evil thoughts from the mind craving for sensual pleasures as obstacles ( hindrances ) to insight so can enlightened liberation .
8) CELEBRATION OF DISCLAIMER (PAHĀNA SANNĀ):
Meditate on the abandonment of clinging mind in the realm of rebirth or the thought of renunciation of the three realms . One in four cankers (asava) makes being immersed within reincarnation as organic contraband (bhavasava) , meaning that cling to the existence and survival of the three worlds . Even the highest level of meditation, the base of neither perception nor non-perception, is still tainted . As long as we haven't eliminated the contraband , we can'tliberated . At bodhisattva Si-reach-us on forests aspirant, he is many meditation Brahmin teacher and soon only he attained the rank of meditation organic colors and formless highest. For such brahmins, it was liberated , but the bodhisattva , seeing that his thoughts were still dependent on the three worlds , then resolved to break free from the subtlest taints of existence that were latent even within the three worlds . those meditations . Finally under the Bodhi tree at Bodhgaya (Bodhigāya) he wascompleted the ultimate transformation and was transmigrated to the three realms .
9) CELEBRATION OF ENDORSEMENT (NIRODHA SANNĀ):
It is the desire of the mind to destroy all defilements . Defilements have many things, such as fetters , unwholesome mental states , gonorrhea , hindrances ... generally greed, hatred, delusion or ignorance , craving . Main negativity is a net blockade , or furnace ( fire scouts ) incineration beings . Thoughts can only be completely transformed when the entire mechanism of accumulation and origination of thoughts has been destroyed afflictions whether in the form of unconscious ( permanent ) or conscious ( current ).
10) THINKING OF DEPARTMENT (VIRĀGA SANNĀ):
Eventually the mind liberated thought from craving . Who Exercise (Tanha) include sexual craving (Tanha kāma) fascination in five desires , bhava (bhava tanha), craving for happiness , non-organic craving (Tanha abhava) discontent in suffering . For the realm of rebirth , liking in the sense- sphere is called craving , liking in the form- sphere is called form-love, liking in the formless world is called formless craving . Is Piya Vagga economic Dhammapada teaches that "Ai education students melancholy , craving born fear. He was completely extinguished craving no longer melancholy , never fear" . Indeed, as long as our thoughts are bound in ignorance of craving, there will still be fear , anxiety, and sorrow .
In summary , the transformation of thought out of external constraints as well as internal pollution is the most difficult transformation in the history of human thought , because thought requires going through many difficult challenges , many levels. the training and strive to find freedom liberating actually.
Many people mistakenly believe that without transforming their thoughts, they can still directly enter the true nature of dharma with insight . If so, can animals or people born without thinking (foolish) go straight to the real nature easily without any evolutionary process to develop and perfect thinking ? It is at the highest achievement of thought transformation that there is the final incarnation leap straight into the true dhamma of insight . Until the thought is complete are not dependent on any numerical obstacles and negativity karma does actually called right thinking , elements estate glass with right understanding of wisdom part of the Noble Eightfold Path .END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.13/9/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
