SAMYAK-VACA.( RIGHT SPEECH ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH. One of the five precepts that a true Buddhist must practice is to abstain from false speech (musāvādā veramanī). More positively , Buddhists must speak truthfully (saccavādā) and be confident (saddahana) and say how to do it (yathāvādī tathākārī). Speech truthful is one gathering karma that the practice not only bring benefits for themselves but also contribute to building a society ethics . Wanting to be orderly , social need requires certain conditions in which there is trust each other because people are honest . The following passage describes an honest person : "Here a good men to abandon the false , alienating prospects language , say true , even in meetings indecent , the crowd, in the house with her children familiar , in the office or when making personnel witness at the court.... Thus, that person will not for his own sake, not for anyone else's sake, nor for a material gain, but intentionally falsely tell the truth." (Sāleyyaka Sutta MI, 228). Actually, right speech is not only limited in words true , but also need to : - Avoid using words float vu to split, or cause discord among people with other people, the left must seek to bring harmony and understanding between people . - Avoid using rude words to humiliate others, on the contrary , speak ethereal , gentle, polite , polite words to comfort , encourage or convince others. - Avoid the story Crap unhelpful , to say the correct time, reasonable and helpful. There are also cases , when we speak honestly and politely but still touch other people 's pride , making them angry. However, sometimes it is necessary to tell the truth, even though it hurts, but it is useful. Like a doctor who wants to treat a patient's wound, sometimes he ca n't help but cause the patient a little pain , because if he doesn't touch the wound, it can't be treated . Therefore, in the Abhayarājakumāra Sutta, there is a classification of speech according to truth, goodness and beauty as follows: 1) TRUTH, MOTHER, GOOD WORD . That is, words that are honest , endearing and beneficial to the listener. The word fine here is used with the meaning of pleasing people, making people happy to hear. As in the case of the Buddha preaching , he presented the truth (truth) to transfer delusion to enlightenment for sentient beings (good) and when he finished hearing the audience were happy (beautiful) to accept . 2) TRUTH, FRIENDLY, NO CODE WORD . That is , truthful words that benefit the listener but do not make them happy . That's the case "the middle language is against the benefit of the good". Unbeautiful words here have two meanings : one is rude speech , the other is not rude but makes the listener uncomfortable. Sometimes because harsh words make the listener angry , but sometimes polite words still touch others' pride . 3) TRUE, COMPLETELY, NOT FRIENDLY SPEAKING . That is, the words are honest , pleasing to people, but useless . Like telling a story that is true and pleasing to the listener but does not bring any benefit , sometimes it is just a waste of time or even harmful. 4) TRUE, NOT FRIENDLY, NO CODE WORD . That is, the words are true, but useless and annoying to the listener . Many people hear about any non-market where also bring to tell friends, relatives heard. Or there are people who often bring personal life stories to others to brag about their successes or explain their failures. Those stories, though true , are of no use to the listeners, and only annoy them. 5) SPEAKING WITHOUT TRUE, BUT BENEFITS AND MOTHER . That is not right word truth but have benefits and make the audience happy . As is the case in order to save someone (good) but have to lie (no truth) and thanks to skillful speech, the listener is happy (beautiful). 6) SPEAKING WITHOUT TRUE, NOT FRIENDLY BUT MOTHER . That is, the lie is false and useless , but the listener likes it. Many say bragging , bragging useless, yet because glibly dexterity, smooth , so everyone likes to hear. 7) Words have no legs, no beauty, but good . That is a lie, unpleasant, but beneficial to the listener. For example, a mother who wants to let her child study well (good) scolded (unbeautiful) and threatened the child if he did not memorize the lesson he would be kicked out of the house (no leg). 8) SPEAKING WITHOUT TRUTH, NO BENEFITS, NO MOTHER . It is a lie , useless and infuriating the listener . As is the case with slander, humiliation, or fabricated speech to divide others. Those are the words of the liar , the cruel, and the rude. Of the eight ways above, the first and the second are encouraged by the Buddha as well as the sages . Beijing Abhayarajakumara teach to that: "He should say trendy that people know is right with true , accurate, useful, can accept and make others happy (the first category). He can also say trendy that people know is right with true , accurate, useful, can accept customized not make others happy (second category). people should not say false , and need to find the truth , tell the truthfor his actions raise happy individual people as well as the regulation and progressive society. " In other passages the Buddha described the words of Job intelligentsia with five conditions : 1) Speech at the right time (Kālavādī): As we have seen above, sometimes a word that is sincere but is not said at the right time turns out to be useless or annoying . A wise person must be tactful to apply his words in the right place, at the right time . 2) In accord with truth (Bhūtavadī): Career intelligentsia official said a word to rely on facts , not sophistry , not deception. However, telling the truth is not enough, it is necessary to have the following additional conditions : 3) Bringing benefits (Atthavādī): Words must have purpose and meaning of it, whether verbal true but there is no purpose to bring benefit to anyone, it is also the word bullshit , useless . 4) Adapting to morality (Dhammavadi): Dhamma here means morality . Words of morality means reasonable , and the situation with the Dhamma . 5) Conform to morality (Vinayavādi): Value of words also dependent personality ethics of it. If a word has all four elements on but not with the law or morality morality is still dangerous. In the analysis of the above eight words , we use the word good in the sense of usefulness. But sometimes having benefits is not necessarily good, as when saying self-seeking, people often use the meaning of unwholesome . Therefore, good speech must be both useful and honest , that is, it must be compatible withmore morality . According to the scriptures, there are 10 useful and ethical things that should be discussed : 1) It should be said about the virtues of compassion compassion because compassion compassionate help us with soul altruism , not greed , selfishness , avarice and jealousy. 2) Should talk about virtues basics to help us spend a lot of desire to move too , and live happily in any circumstances yet. 3) Should talk about the virtue of purity to help the soul calm , clean and free . 4) The virtue of independence should be talked about to help us not to be partisan, not to be dependent, and to develop self- confidence. 5) We should talk about the virtue of diligence to help us get rid of laziness , hesitation, and inconsistency. 6) Should talk about morality because virtue has the ability to eliminate the bad habits that we have acquired from countless lives up to now . 7) Should talk about meditation because meditation has the ability to eliminate desires , hatred and develop mental strength . 8) Should say about wisdom to help us practice virtue wisely , develop the intellect most thorough understanding of the truth . 9) Should talk about liberation because liberation of mind is the aim of Buddhists on the way to liberate the mind from ignorance and defilements . 10) Should talk about the knowledge of liberation , that is, the realization of liberation of the Buddha and the saints . That realization helps us to be confident on the path of practice because we know that we are walking on the path that our ancestors have experienced and realized . If we are diligent in our mindfulness and discernment correctly, we will also experience the same liberating knowledge as theirs. In short , words can affect extremely important matter not only for the life of happiness of each individual , but also can be determined by both the safety of society . The words of a person of prestige , the more cautious they must be . That is why the Buddha introduced right speech into the Noble Eightfold Path , the path leading to liberation and enlightenment .END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.13/9/2021.
