CONTENTS JÍVAKA 1. Layman Jìvaka heard public opinion about the Blessed One that: "Because of the recluse Gotama, they kill the living creatures. And, the recluse Gotama knows that, but still uses the meat that is killed for himself" . Jìvaka asked to hear the teachings of the Blessed One. 2. The Buddha taught: "We say the three cases, the meat is not life application: see, hear and comfortable (because I kill). And, " The Life monks alms dishes used with care not participate before, without covetousness, without passion, clearly seeing calamities, clearly aware of renunciation." 3. Whoever kills living beings because of the Tathagata or a disciple of the Tathagata, he or she falls into five causes of non-virtue: - Order to bring the beast; - The animal is dragged, suffering; - Order to kill the beast; - The beast suffers when it is killed; - Offering meat like that is not meritorious, illegal. III. TABLE MORE CODE - During the Buddha's time in the world, the bhikkhus entered Japan by means of alms round: when people had any food, they offered that kind of food, including meat. Therefore, there is some public opinion on the matter, as reported by Jìvaka layman, especially in the cases where the householders ask for a son to be converted at home. - Surely in the case of special requests, the monks have also shown the householders how to make offerings to the Dharma, what is illegal.
